Obituary Preview: WAUSAU - Pagel, Arthur N. “Art” age 77 passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024. Art was born September 5, 1946, in Wausau Wisconsin. Art was employed by Marathon Electric for 40 years and retired in 2008. His favorite pastimes were deer and small game hunting, motorcycles, and playing cards with his brothers on Sundays.
Art was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed video chats with his children and great-grandchild Alexis and conversations with his sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Margaret (Burns) Pagel. Brothers David Pagel, Jim Pagel, John Pagel, Tom Pagel, and infant sister Margaret.
Survived by children Lauri (Gary) Thom, Aurora, WI; Christopher (Dana) Pagel, Minneapolis, MN; and Sheri Pagel, Wausau, WI. Grandchildren Adam (Brittany) Thom, Aurora, WI; Aimee (Eric) Thom, Powers, MI; Devin McCown Rothschild, WI and great-grandchild Alexis Thom. Four siblings, Ellen Bogan, Mary (Norman) Beilke, Kate Mitchell, and Lee (Ginny) Pagel. Many other close family members, and longtime friend David Hanke.
In place of flowers, donations preferred to the Eagles Club of Wausau, WI, as Art enjoyed many of the holiday meals they provided. A private family burial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses from the Aspirus Comfort Care Unit, for their concern, kindness, and compassion. Roger Donald Hoffman, Sr. - June 12, 1933 - April 29, 2024

Obituary Preview: Roger Donald Hoffman, Sr. passed away April 29, 2024, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He was born in Merrill, Wisconsin on June 12, 1933, to Arthur Rudolph Hoffman and Ida Marie (Gehrt) Hoffman. Roger was the eleventh of fourteen children. There were seven boys and seven girls in the family.
He served in the USAF as an aircraft and engine mechanic and electrician. He also worked at ROW and Wire Products in Merrill.
Roger enjoyed building and built numerous homes. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his older years he enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, playing Yahtzee, watching Westerns, and reading large-print Westerns his son-in-law, Jeff would pick him up at the library. He also enjoyed going on long rides with his daughter, Joy looking for wildlife while drinking a shake she would stop and pick up for him. He lived with Jeff and Joy for the last few years of his life.
Roger was married to Carol Joyce Larson, and they had six children: Joy (Jeff) Weber, Christine Rohmeyer, Linda (Randy) English, Mike (Sue) Hoffman, Bob Hoffman, and Lori (Greg) Radke. Carol passed away at the age of 39.
Some years later Roger married Rose Mary Duginski. He had four stepchildren: Carrie (Mike) Baumgart, Vince Zoellner, Renee (Doug) Smith and Colleen (Aaron) Skoviera. They also had one son together, Roger Hoffman, Jr. Rose passed away nearly four years ago.
He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren from both families that he loved spending time with.
Roger was preceded in death by both his wives, his grandson, Andy Hoffman, his stepson, Vince Zoellner, his parents, his brothers and sisters: Herman, Alice, Harry, Adeline, Marie, Marvin, Mildred, Art, Florine, Betty, Tom and Judy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother Kenneth (Ethel) Hoffman of Strafford, MO and his sister-in-law, Evelyn (Hoffman) Harrison of Mesa, Arizona as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Tomahawk Health Services, Compassus Hospice Care, Rhinelander, and the VA Caregiver Support Group from Colby (Kristi and Chelsea) for all the wonderful care they gave Roger as well as the support they gave to the family. Thank you too to the VA for the support they offered Roger while he lived with Jeff and Joy.

Obituary Preview: RONALD ANDREW SOKOLOWSKI Ron Sokolowski, 83, died April 27th 2024 at St. Michaels Aspirus Hospital due to covid complications. He was born January 26, 1942 in Chicago Illinois, son of Phillip and Josephine Sokolowski (Wisniewski.)
Ron graduated from PJ Jacobs High School class of 1960. In 1962 Ron married the love of his life Diane Pudroski. They celebrated 61 years of marriage last October. They remained in Stevens Point, Wi. after marrying and Ron soon took a job at CW Transport in Wisconsin Rapids. He spent the next thirty years working for CW. After CW Transport he worked at Gross trucking several years before retiring. Ron’s passion for life and work propelled him to restore vehicles in his garage at home or creatively design his yard and lawn. He enjoyed a good story, a good laugh and loved his family deeply.
In addition to his Parents, he was predeceased by 3 sisters; Lorretta Sokolowski, Rita Bemke, Antoinette Sokolowski and a brother Lawrence Sokolowski. Surviving In addition to his wife Diane (Pudroski) Sokolowski, is his daughter Carlen (Sokolowski) Dupler of Plover, WI, one sister Delphine Sieff of South Elgin IL and Brother Phillip Sokolowski of Mead Washington.

Obituary Preview: Frank Mleczek, 89 of Antigo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024while in the care of the Bay Eastview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Frank was born on May 20, 1934 at their farm home. He was raised on the family farm owned by parents, Anton and Adeline(Milkowski) Mleczek. After leaving school he worked at the local sawmill till his retirement. He loved woodworking, making many things such as cedar chests, gun cabinets, and yard art. He also loved his gardening and his flowers. Every year he tried to grow the biggest tomato and loved all the compliments on how good his garden and flowers looked.
Frank is survived by his sister Ann (Jim) Noskowiak, brother Florian (Marge) Mleczek and sister Germaine Mleczek. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister Martha (Elroy) Vilter and many other aunts, uncles, and niece.
Service will be held at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church on at 125074 Co. Rd U. Edgar WI. 54426 with Father Alan Wierzba officiating. Visitation will be at 10:30 am until the time of services at the church. Please check back for date and times of the service. Inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Darla C. Woller, 62, of Wittenberg, passed way unexpectedly after a short illness, at Marshfield Medical Center-Weston. Her loving family was at her side.
Darla was born on May 1, 1961 to the late Dave and Shirley (Adams) Woller. After graduation, Darla tried on many hats in the world of careers. Her favorite being an over the road truckdriver.
Darla was an avid gun collector, lived on a small hobby farm, and a rescuer of all animals. Especially cats. She loved her family and friends and will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents; brother Dave; sister Dane; niece Shannon; and nephew Tony.
She is survived by her siblings: Becky, Robin, Dawn, and Kris Woller; nieces and nephews, Shauna, Samantha, Nikki, Krista, Logan, Troy, Jacob, Danny, Ryan, Duke, and David; as well as her loving herd of cats; and her pups Bodi and Gabbi.
To honor Darla, the family ask that memorials be directed to your local Humane Society.

Richard Karl Wenzel - November 27, 1946 - April 22, 2024

Obituary Preview: Richard Karl Wenzel, of Stevens Point passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024, at Maple Ridge Memory Care at the age of 77.
Richard was born on November 27, 1946 to Karl Newby Wenzel and Jane (Reinhart) Wenzel who have preceded him in death. He attended PJ Jacobs High School, graduating in 1964.
Richard worked at Point Sporting Goods until he was drafted into the US Army. He was stationed in Germany where he was in active duty from 1966-1969. He was discharged with honors and moved back to Wisconsin where he went to work for United Parcel Service in Sheboygan. He and his first wife (Ruth Bowen) and their 2 children then transferred back with UPS to Stevens Point.
Richard loved spending time with his children, they all became very involved with Stevens Point Youth baseball. He coached and held numerous titles from 1980 – 1987. He was an active sports enthusiast who loved fishing, hunting, golfing and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. In 1983, Richard married Beverly (Langrehr). They resided in Stevens Point and eventually in Plover, WI. Richard retired from UPS after 31 years of service. During his retirement years he continued enjoyed his favorite activities and took up the art of golf club making and spending time with anybody who would talk.
Richard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Beverly, daughter Lorna (Jim) Ross, of Red Wing, MN, son Brian (Laurie Rossier), sister Ferol (Robert) Kenseth, of Kennesaw, GA. Nieces and nephews and extended relation.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday May 11, 2024 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 600 Wilshire Blvd, Stevens Point, WI. Visitation will take place at the church from 10am – noon followed by a memorial service at noon then will be laid to rest with military honors at Restlawn Cemetery, 6411 Plover Rd, Wisc Rapids, WI, after the service. All are welcome to attend.

Obituary Preview: Robert Kyle Shinn (Robby) May 23, 1991-April 22, 2024
Robby gained his angel wings on the evening of April 22, 2024. He was born in San Antonio, Texas and later moved to Wisconsin with his family on 1998, where he made Stratford, WI his home.
In high school Robby learned to weld and made that his career choice. He traveled to many states for work and met many amazing people along the way that he called friends. He was making plans to own his own business.
Robby was avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, lawn mower racing, horseback riding, bowling, and playing hockey. He loved to take his children with him to pass along the things he loved. He also loved to spend time with his friends.
He will be remembered by many for his kindness and his wild sense of humor. He was quick-witted and could always crack a joke to make anyone smile on their worst day. You could always count on him if you needed anything. He always wanted to share happiness with his family and friends, but especially his children. He cherished every moment he could with them. He was always there when a friend was in need. He touched many people’s lives while he was here.
When Robby met Ren, he stepped up to be a great stepfather to Rayva and later they got married and had Rawson. Robby and Ren later separated in life, but Rayva and Rawson were the love of his life.
Robby is survived by Rawson and Rayva, and their mother Ren. He is further survived by his Lynda and Kurt Hougum of Texas; father and Willie and Debbie Shinn of Alabama; his brother Jessie and Jenna Shinn, and their children, Jordan and Jacob of Stratford; Half-brothers William Shinn of Alabama, and Chris and Rea Shinn, and their children, Calab, Sidney, and Chris Jr. (CJ) of Alabama; and special friend Jami Lewis and her children Kayleigh, Kirsten, Karson, Klementine, and Kendrick of Stratford. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends that he grew up with and met on his journeys.
Following Robby’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday May 4th, 2024, at the Town of Cleveland Hall, located at D3207 County Hwy M, Stratford, WI 54484, beginning at 1:00pm. Please bring your memories to share with family and friends.
Robby Shinn will truly be missed by many family and friends.

John R. Schulz (85), Rothschild, passed away April 19, 2024 to be with his Lord and Savior and to enter into Eternal life.
John was born January 3, 1939, in Wausau to Raymond and Julia (Anderson) Schulz. He grew up and lived his entire life in Rothschild. His first job was as a lifeguard on the river below the Rothschild Pavilion. He graduated from D.C. Everest High School in 1957. He joined the National Guard in 1956 serving with the 32nd Infantry Division Tank Battalion. He was called to active duty in 1961 to serve Fort Lewis, Washington, during the Berlin Crisis. In June of 1958, he began working at Marathon Corporation - American Can Company (Weyerhauser, Domtar) paper mill. He retired from Weyerhauser in 2004 after 45 years.
In 1963, he met the love of his life, Nancy Hoeft, and they were married June 27, 1964, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Wausau. John loved attending all his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and special activities. John loved spending time at his lake home (Star Lake, Vilas County) his entire life. He enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, hiking, his pontoon boat and watching nature. All were special things he loved doing “up north”. He was a fierce Green Bay Packer fan, a football fan in general, and he loved his Milwaukee Brewers. John also enjoyed feeding his birds and fighting to keep the squirrels out of his feeders. He gave up and started feeding the squirrels, too!
John is survived by his wife (Nancy); son Tim (Amy), Rothschild; daughter Colette (Matt) Brill, Village of Maine; granddaughter Allison (Floyd) Dean, Wausau; grandson Nathan (Jessica Hilgart) Brill, Wausau; grandson Brett Schulz and granddaughter Amanda Schulz, both of Rothschild; Great-grandson Everett Dean and great-granddaughter Bellamy Dean, both of Wausau; brother-in-law Ted Anderson, South Carolina; special neighbor/caregiver Carolyn Hammerbeck; as well as, many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Julia; sister Phyllis Schulz Cooke; brother-in-law Norman Cooke; sister Jeanne Schulz Anderson.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 29, 20024, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Wausau, at 11:00am. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2024, at St. Paul’s UCC beginning at 4:00pm until the time of a prayer service at 6:30pm. There will also be a visitation before the funeral services from 10:00-11:00am on Monday. Burial will be a private ceremony at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at the Aspirus Hospice House for the wonderful care John received in his 12 days staying there. They were all outstanding, loving people and we appreciate all of you!

Virginia L Brula - April 12, 1949 - April 18, 2024

Obituary Preview: Virginia "Ginny" Louise Brula (Schmidt) passed away peacefully at the Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau, WI on 4/18/2024 at the age of 75 after battling Neuroendocrine Cancer.
Ginny is survived by her two sons, Ed and Dave Brula; her brothers, Joe, Ed, and Dennis; her sister, Marcia; Granddaughter Crystina; Great Granddaughter Anastasya; her sister in-laws Bernice, Dyan, and Kathy; father in-law Bernie; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends as well as her little fur baby Tiny Tim. She is preceded in death by her husband Matt; daughter Michelle; parents Peter and Elizabeth; mother in-law Josephine; father in-law Jim; mother in-law Virginia; and brother in-law John. Ginny was born on April 12, 1949 in Chicago, IL to Peter and Elizabeth Schmidt. She married Matt Brula, her high school sweetheart on November 25, 1967 in Franklin Park IL to whom she was with until Matt passed on March 17, 2011. Ginny and Matt moved to Mosinee, WI sometime in the early 70’s, where they purchased and managed Brookside Trailer Court which included a small motel unit and gas station. Ginny and Matt continued their entrepreneurship after selling Brookside Trailer Court with Movie Time Video in Schofield, WI. During this time Ginny also held a longtime position at Moxness Products in Wausau, WI until the company moved out of the area. In 1994 Ginny and Matt realized their dream when they were able to settle on a large piece of land in Ringle, WI where they enjoyed nature and the peacefulness of the country in between working on the land and house. The couple had three children, welcoming Ed Brula (son) into their home in 1974, Michelle Brula (daughter) in 1977, and Dave Brula (son) in 1982. Michelle tragically passed Dec 23, 1977
Ginny’s children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient, loving mother who always encouraged them to pursue their goals and remained proud of them no matter what ups and downs happened in their lives. Ginny truly had a heart of gold and was loving to all sorts of animals and people. She will always be remembered as an extremely caring and generous person who put everyone else first.
Ginny was an avid fan of the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, hiking, and just relaxing to the sounds and views of nature. Ginny also relaxed by crocheting and coloring pictures for family and friends, and listening to music. (Although the music wasn’t always relaxing… Back in 1990 she was likely one of the only 40 year olds at a Metallica concert in Milwaukee, WI). She was always rooting for her teams, the Green Bay Packers, and the Chicago Cubs. She never could leave the Cubbies, but had no problem going against Da Bears. Ginny was passionate about helping people and animals and volunteering for many causes. Most notably of which would be her time volunteering at New Life Pet Adoption Center for approximately 12 years. She was hardworking, heartfelt, strong, caring, and loved for her quick wit and sassiness always with a smile. Ginny touched many hearts and loved everyone unconditionally, always trying to help others in any way she could, never thinking of herself. Ginny will be missed more than anyone could ever express.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1pm-4pm Saturday, April 27, 2024 in the Community Room at the Rothschild Village Hall, 211 Grand Ave., Rothschild, WI 54474. This will be an informal gathering to get together, share stories, enjoy each other’s company, and share the love and support Ginny always had for everyone else. Soda, Spotted Cow, and snacks will be provided.

Tyler Dean Hintze - August 12, 1999 - April 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: Tyler was born in Wausau and grew up in the Town of Easton in a loving Christian home.
He enjoyed 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, skiing, skateboarding and fishing in his earlier years.
Tyler also enjoyed a round of golf with his dad.
He was employed by Olson Tire and Auto and took great pride in the work he did there.
As he grew older, he faced challenges with substance abuse which led to the end of his life here on earth.
Many of the people around him offered love, help and support. Addiction however, had a strong hold on Tyler. We hang on to the hope that his Christian faith that he had professed early on prepared the path that lead him to Jesus’ arms.
Survivors include his parents, Edward and Lora Hintze, brother, Jacob Hintze, grandfather, Donald Hintze, grandparents, Roger and Crystal Pittman and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at The Cross Church, 740 Grand Ave. in Schofield, WI. 54476. Pastor Yauo Yang will officiate. Roger G Barnes - June 26, 1951 - April 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: Roger G. Barnes, 72, of Antigo Wisconsin, passed away peacefully April 16th, 2024.
He was born in Kenosha Wisconsin on June 26th, 1951, the son of the late Richard and Laverne (Kahler) Barnes. He graduated from Tremper High School in 1969 and attended University of Wisconsin Stout.
Roger spent most of his life residing in Kenosha and then later in Madison and Antigo. Roger was the past owner of Kenosha Starter and Alternator in Kenosha. He had a passion for motorcycles and one of his favorite adventures was his motorcycle trip to Alaska. Roger loved to tinker, always coming up with ideas for new projects. He appreciated time spent with friends and family, particularly his grandsons Owen and Freddie.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Janet (Josh) Knutson of Racine; grandsons Owen and Fredrick Knutson of Racine, brother Donald (June) Barnes of Antigo, sisters Karen Pence of Everett, WA and Trudy Barnes of Janesville, WI. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
to everyone that provided care for Roger over the last few years including UW Health University Hospital in Madison as well as Aspirus Langlade Hospital and Aspirus at Home in Antigo. A special thank you to Connie for her care and compassion.

Terry Dennis Bremer - December 31, 1950 - April 15, 2024

born to Alice(Kaskavitch) and Elmer Bremer on December 31, 1950 in Wausau, WI. Terry resided mostly between Milwaukee and Wausau all his life. He is survived by his children, TJ Bremer of Las Vegas, NV; and Holly (Sheila Augustus) Bremer of Wausau, WI; His siblings Kelly (Dawn) Bremer, Peggy Goszinski, Mary Bremer, and Patti (Tim) Redlich, sister-in-law Dolly Bremer,7 Granddaughters; Ashley, Olivia, Athena, Correna, Desiree, Kaylie and Courtney; and 2 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson; and many nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in
death by his parents and his brother Gary Bremer, as well as niece, Tracey Schafer. Terry joined the Marine Corp in 1968 where he served 1 tour in Vietnam, before returning home to Milwaukee. Terry had 2 children in 1979 and 1982 whom he co-parented with his ex-wife. He enjoyed walks in nature as well as fishing. He also enjoyed working on vehicles. He was an avid Packers and Brewers Fan and loved going to baseball games. He loved animals and had dogs most of his adult life. Later in life he found his pride and joy, Precious the cat, “who sometimes thinks she is a dog”. Terry was very loved by his granddaughters and loved to teach them how to work on vehicles, how to fish, and how to make Gnocchi the way his mom did. He will be

John A. Franke, age 73 of Mellen, WI passed away at home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and a miraculous 7 year survival with Glioblastoma.
John was born in Milwaukee, November 22, 1950 to Albert and Elizabeth Franke.
He graduated from Chilton High School in 1968. He attended UW-Stevens Point for 2 ½ years before serving in the Army Reserves from 1970 – 1976.
In May of 1971, he married his loving wife Connie Bayliss in Ashland, WI. They raised their family near Rosholt, WI for 25 years before moving to Twin Lakes in Mellen, WI.
John worked for 29 years for BASF/Vulcan Materials as a maintenance mechanic and a lab technician.
He loved the outdoors and spent his free time hunting at his beloved Blue Ribbon Camp with his nephews and friends, fishing, and hiking/bird hunting with his dog, Lizzy. He also enjoyed fishing in Canada and Nascar races in Bristol, TN with friends and family.
John is survived by his wife Connie; daughters, Autumn of Rothschild, WI; Melanie (Andy) of MN. Grandchildren Quinnley and Liam. Sisters-in-law Mary and Pat (Sterling). Niece Leah (Kevin) and godson Athan. And many special nephews, nieces, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his son, Justin; his parents and siblings; his in-laws Robert and Esther Bayliss of Ashland, WI.
A special thanks for the compassionate and loving end of life care from daughters Autmn and Melanie, son-in-law Andy, niece Leah, and nephew Rick.

Linda was born April 21, 1950, in Merrill, the daughter of the late Herbert and Louise (Payne) Hehling.
Since 1987, she lived and worked in Nevada. In 2008, she worked as a cook at the man camp for General Drilling, until she chose to retire in 2013, and moved back to Merrill, WI to be closer to her relatives, where she was living until her death.
She thoroughly enjoyed watching, and feeding, the wildlife in her yard (squirrels, birds, and rabbits). This provided endless entertainment for her and her beloved cats (through the windows, of course!).
Linda is survived by her children, Ann Wegher (Scott) of Franklin, WI; Katie Horton (Daniel) of Bristol, WI; Rita Manowski (Michael) of San Rafael, CA; and Daniel Iliff (Alaina) of Spring Creek, NV. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Jonathon Hetland (Ashley), Jacob Hetland, Jacklyn Fuchs (Steven), Corey Muhlenbeck, Jason Horton (Clara), Kimberly (Dustin) Soto, and Douglas Iliff, along with numerous great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Louise Hehling, her brothers, Allen Hehling and James Hehling, and her sister, Sally Bell.

Elizabeth Felden went home to be with our Lord on April 10, 2024, at the age of 99.
She was born to the late, Stephen and Elizabeth (Lehr) Muth, January 25th, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI. She died peacefully at her home, The Lodge at Whispering Pines, Plover, Wi. with family at her side.
Betty always had a smile, loved meeting people and had a witty personality. She will be deeply missed by her 5 children. Phyllis (George) Van
Beynen, Barbara Stahl, Cindy (Paul) Lorenz, Sandy Felden and Michael Felden. Her 7 grandchildren, Amy and (Kristopher)Scott, John and (Liisi)Van Beynen, Kendra and (Jeremy) Hannert, Courtney and (Bob)Thorson, Nicholas and (Nicole) Lorenz, Ryan Felden, Robbie (Jessica)Felden. Her 7 great grandchildren, Haakon, Anja, and Berit Van Beynen, Jacob, Danna and Noelle Thorson, Anika Hannert and Sahylynn Felden.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Philip, son in law Kenneth Stahl, her parents Stevens and Elizabeth Muth, sister Margie Gordon and brother Stephen Muth.
Betty graduated from Beauty School in 1945 and opened a Beauty Salon from 1946/1954, In 1955, Betty and Phill operated a bar in Elm Grove, Wi. In 1958, they moved to Steven’s Point, Wi and purchased the Northern Air beer bar on Patch Street, later remodeling it and renamed it Fill’s Bar. In 1983, Phil and Betty moved to Sun City, Az. She enjoyed Bingo, Ceramic Club, and Crafting Club and her Church. In 2011 she moved back to the Stevens Point area, to be with family.
A private Spiritual service will held April 17, 2024.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm, at Fill’s Bar, Patch Street, Steven’s Point, Wi.

He was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 29, 1950, to the late Leonard O. and Caroline J. (Olson) Streich.
Lenny worked for the City of Milwaukee Department of Sanitation from September 7, 1971, until his retirement on June 1, 2005.
Lenny dedicated a lot of his time to being President of the Local #61. The family is eternally grateful to the firm Padway and Padway for all the help they gave Lenny during his reign.
Lenny is survived by his siblings: Janice Heckathorn, Carol Jean (Joe) Kellow, Janice Streich, Faith Firkus, and Maribeth D’Acquisto. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly, and who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susanna Ruelle, brother Edward Streich, and his nephew Bradley Dykstra.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on May 26, 2024, at the cemetery of St. Jospeh Catholic Church in Galloway, Wisconsin.

She was born on December 21st, 1969, at Cook County Hospital to Sharon Witt. She grew up in Bruce, Wisconsin with her 5 siblings. In 1990, she married Vince Caruso in Necedah, Wisconsin, and together they had 2 children. They divorced in 2010, and she spent the past 13 years throughout Wisconsin, where she worked in manufacturing and sales.
Cindy loved to spend time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Clara. She learned how to cook and bake from her mother and enjoyed sharing food with others. She was a very sociable person and made friends wherever she went. Cindy will always be remembered for her loving and caring personality.
Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents and stepfather Edward Witt. She is survived by her children, Celeste (Jim) Lietz and Brittany (Kayla Hansen) Caruso, her granddaughter Clara Lietz, her mother Sharon Witt, and her siblings Holly (Paul Jaeger) Garrett, Jeremy (Michael Sabusap) Garrett, Brain (Denise) Garrett, Joshua Collins, and Carrie Collins, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cindy felt it was more important to spend time with family and friends before her passing. Therefore, there will not be a funeral or memorial service held. Instead, we encourage everyone to share photos and memories of her on her Facebook page.
Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau who showed her such love and compassion during her final months.

Obituary Preview: David J. Bucknell, 48, of Mosinee, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
David was born in Wausau on February 2, 1976. Shortly after his birth, he was adopted by his loving mother, Barbara Bucknell.
After completing high school, David joined the Wisconsin National Guard, where he became an instructor.
He was also employed for several years as a licensed cheesemaker at Mullens Cheese.
When David wasn’t spending time with his daughter, mother, and brother, he was doing his next favorite thing, riding a motorcycle, cooking and watching and attending Brewers baseball games. Also attending short track and Nascar races.
David will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his daughter, Audrey; mother Barbara; and brother Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Lorraine Bucknell.
Per David’s wishes, there will be no services. Family and friends may go to MWCS.WS to leave words of remembrance.

Clemence "Clem" Ogurek - March 20, 1927 - April 04, 2024

Obituary Preview: On Thursday, 04 April 2024 Clemence "Clem" Ogurek passed away at Mount View Care Center in Wausau, Wisconsin at age 97.
Clem was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 20, 1927. He was raised in Thorp, Wisconsin and attended Gilman and Thorp schools.
Clem volunteered for military service in 1945 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps in August 1947.
He graduated from Maler Barber College in June of 1950 and practiced as a barber for 25 years. In 1974, at the age of 47, Clem made a career change and became a licensed hearing specialist for Beltone Electronics Corporation. In 1976 he and his wife Helen established a full-time office for Beltone in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Clem retired in 1989 at the age of 62 after major heart surgery. He loved sports including archery, hunting, fishing and golf. Clem was extremely proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Diane Newburn and his devoted and loving wife Helen. He is survived by his daughter Deborah (Jerry) Draxler, son James (Renee) Ogurek, and son Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Ogurek.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Clem was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was very proud of his family.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, 20 April 2024 from 11:00-12:00 at Restlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 235962 N. Troy St, Wausau, WI 54403.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and Newman Catholic Schools or charity of choice.

On June 16th, 1973, she was united in marriage to the late David Wilson in Crandon WI, and shortly after they moved to the Fox Cities.
Debra was a woman of multi-talents, but she mainly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, four-wheeling, and working in the greenhouse with her partner Dave. She was known as crazy grandma to all of her loving grandchildren.
She survived by her partner Dave Jansen; her three children: Diana Jarvis, Virginia Wilson (Jermaine), and Justin (Keely) Wilson; 10 grandchildren: Chloe and Jennifer Jarvis, Nichole (Jay), Alyssa (De’Varrious), Miranda (Colin), Samatha (Steven), Shakria and Lindsay Wilson, Trent (Allyson) and Shaylan Wilson; her three great grandchildren: Hazel, Kayla, and Auroa; two sisters: Linda (Alan) Wissbroecker, Lori (Rick) Guetschow; a brother, Steven Makarevictz. She is further survived by her best friend Peggy (Mark) Casey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many other special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Wilson, her son-in-law, John Jarvis, and a grandson, Anthony David Jarvis.
A special thank you to her granddaughter Alyssa, and Aspirus Hospice.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Debra at 11 am on April 8th at Longshots Pearson Smokehouse; N9881 Wi-55 Pearson WI.

Obituary Preview: Marge Ostrowski, Iola, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born on January 22nd, 1933, the daughter of David and Lucy (Rybicki) Omernik.
Marge grew up in Rosholt and married Henry Ostrowski on June 10th, 1950, at St. Adalbert's Church in Rosholt. Marge and Henry later moved their family to Milwaukee. In 1971, they purchased a farm in Amherst. Henry ran the farm and Marge worked at the Holiday Inn. They later bought Flambeau Tavern in Rosholt. Years later, they sold the bar and Marge worked at Amherst Family Foods. When Marge retired, they moved to Iola. Marge was proceeded in death by her husband, Henry on November 11th, 2003.
Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, especially cooking for her grandchildren, and had a devotion for animals. She loved walking and playing with her dogs. When it came time to move to The Nest/Willows, she was grateful for all the family and dogs that regularly came to spend time with her.
Marge will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Marge is survived by 4 children, Sandy (Dan) Yenter, Barb Ostrowski, Kenny Ostrowski, and Kathy (Randy) Budsberg. Marge leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many more family members.
Marge is proceeded in death by her husband Henry Ostrowski; her parents David and Lucy Omernik; her two sons Richard (Bernie) Ostrowski and Allen Ostrowski; her sisters Mary (Verne) Schmidt, Vicki (Ralph) Tuskowski, and Sophie (Herny) Koziczkowski; her brother Joseph (Carolyn) Omernik; and many more family members who have passed.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Nest Senior Living/The Willows, Heartland Hospice, and Aspirus Iola Clinic for their wonderful care of Marge.

He is survived by his wife Leone, and two sons Scott (Ann) Peterson and Todd (Angela) Peterson. Eugene has six grandchildren: Payton, Emmitt, Lilly, Dustin, Travis, and Bradley and one great granddaughter, Ezria Peterson.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Martha Peterson, along with his two sisters, Sandy (Ronald) Schuster, and Alice (Walter) Kroeplin.
Throughout his life, Eugene enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, camping “up north,” riding his motorcycle, downhill skiing, bowling at Coral Lanes, watching the Packers, and playing video games on the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Eugene also enjoyed listening to his diverse collection of records that included: Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, The Big Bopper, and many others. Eugene got to see Buddy Holly in person on July 12, 1958, at the Rothschild Pavilion.
The funeral service will be at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1351 Grand Ave, Schofield, WI 54476., on April 1st, 2024. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm and the Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm.

Dennis is survived by his spouse, Karen of 55 yrs., daughters Heidi (Bob) Wierzba and their children Lorelai, Isabella and Cooper, Heather (Mike) Theiss and their children Amyah and Aramie, brother-in-laws James and Dennis (Denny #2) Behn, nephew Brian Baars, nieces Brenda (Jason) Budnik, Denyal (Travis) Garski, Jamie (Tony) Carpenter, eight great nieces, two great nephews, four great great nieces, one great great nephew
and friends. She then met the love of her life, Brad Will, and together created a loving home for all their children in Bergen, WI.
Jennifer wanted nothing more than to provide for and witness her children grow up to thrive and succeed. She loved her boys dearly, and often said they were indeed, “all of her world”. Her favorite hobbies included baking, boating on the lake, and caring for her red heeler, Max. Jennifer was a kind and positive soul in a world that needs more of it. She was often described as “the life of the party” by all who were fortunate to enjoy that side of her. Jennifer had a laugh and smile that was infectious and will be remembered by many.
Jennifer Marie was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Benn (Kleist), older brother Jason Benn, and her aunt Mary Benn. She is survived by her loving father Charles Benn, loving Uncle Ernest Benn, sons Jacob (28), Matthew (25), and Caden Hrebik (19), and her nephew Keagan Wallace (Benn) (24).
Visitation and Funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church on April 20th, 2024. The visitation will start at 10:00 AM and service will start at 11:00 AM, with a small meal following shortly after.
