Jayne was born September 26, 1961, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Donald and Janet (Otto) Beyer. Jayne attended St. James Elementary School and later graduated from Shawano High School with the Class of 1979. Following school, she was employed at the Vlasik Pickle Factory in Bonduel and later Zwicker Knitting Mill in Shawano.

On January 31, 1981, Jayne was united in marriage to the late David L.A. Schaewe at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Jayne has spent her entire life in Shawano. Her husband preceded her in death on February 17, 2011.

Jayne was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. She was a crafter and spent time working with the 4-H in Shawano. Jayne enjoyed her time working at the Shawano Speedway.

Survivors include her daughter, Roxanne (partner Angie Cox) Schaewe of Shawano; son, Jeremy (Brianne) Schaewe of Shawano; three grandchildren, Brayden Schaewe, Brooke Schaewe, and Kenna Ledbetter, all of Shawano. Jayne is further survived by her siblings, Wanda Copsey, Jeff Beyer, Douglas (Stacey) Beyer, and Brenda (Denise Dodge) Beyer, all of Shawano; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law.

A funeral service for Jayne will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Vicar David Kaiser will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Friday and continue until the time of service. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.

Tom was born January 18, 1935, in Shawano, a son of the late George W. and Lulu (Prey) Ludolph. Tom attended the Shawano schools and graduated from Shawano High School with the Class of 1952. Following high school, he entered the United States Army. Tom was a Combat Veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952 until 1955.

On June 29, 1957, he was united in marriage to the former Gladys M. Daniel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. The couple has lived in Shawano their entire married life.

Tom was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association and the Disabled American Veterans. He was an avid sports fan and always enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Ludolph of Shawano; three sons, Thomas R. Ludolph of St. Petersburg, FL, Tim M. Ludolph of De Pere, and Ted A. (Karen) Ludolph of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Jennifer Ludolph of Morgan Hill, CA, Kristin Ludolph of St Petersburg, FL, Aaron (Katie) Ludolph of De Pere, Rachael (Ross) Serena of Omaha, NE, Megan Ludolph of Asheville, NC, and Amanda (Gene) Swift of Encino, CA; great-grandson, Emmett; brother, Gerald (Mary) Ludolph of Shawano; brother-in-law, James (Judy) Daniel of Shawano; sister-in-law, Nan Gianoli of Woodbury, MN; and special friends, Mary and Alan Johnson of California. Tom is further survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Marguerite (Marti) Thelen, and Janet Bohm; brothers-in-law, George Daniel, Harold Daniel, Gil Daniel, and Orvis Bohm.

A memorial service for Tom will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Fr. Edward Looney will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin; special sister-in-law, Susie Malone, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wayne, Otho, and John Malone; four sisters, Donna, Brenda, Velma, and Eleanor; and special niece, Naomi Malone.

In keeping with her wishes, private family services will be held for Lois. Burial will take place at Fort Howard Memorial Park in Green Bay.

Mickey loved the outdoors and hanging out with his friends and family.

Survivors include his daughter, Chloe Schilcher; his son, Devon Schilcher; his mother, Gail; stepdad, Mike Washkuhn; his brother, Daniel Schilcher; Pam and his niece, Skye Schilcher; his maternal grandmother, Mary Piorkowski; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. “The family would like everyone to remember all the memories Mickey left with us. His smile, laughter, and most of all his kind and loving heart. He will be deeply missed.”

Bonnie was born October 26, 1934, in Sister Bay, WI, a daughter of the late Dr. Russel J. Driscoll D.D.S and Joyce (Smith) Driscoll. When Bonnie was eight her family moved to Gillett. She attended the Gillet Schools and graduated from Gillett High School with the Class of 1952. Following high school, she attended Marquette University and later the University of Wisconsin Steven’s Point where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. Bonnie taught school in Greenfield for several years following graduation.

On June 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to James M. Blaser in Gillett, WI. In 1972 the couple moved from Greenfield, WI, to Wausau, WI. Bonnie worked as a teacher’s aide at Wausau West High School for several years. The couple then moved to Shawano in 1980. Bonnie continued as a librarian aide at Shawano Middle School. Her husband, Jim, preceded her in death on July 25, 1989.

Bonnie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. She was also a member of the Town of Texas Lions Club as well as the Shawano Lions Club. She enjoyed painting, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two sons, Randy Blaser of Shawano, and Dennis (Tracey) Blaser of Rothschild, WI; two grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Blaser of Wausau, and James Blaser of Rothschild, WI; and great grandchildren, Narisha and Kayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Shari Blaser, in 2022.

A Funeral Mass for Bonnie will be celebrated on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Fr. Edward Looney will be the Celebrant. Inurnment will be at the Wanderers Rest Cemetery in Gillett. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am at the church and continue until the time of Mass.

Obituary Preview: Duane A. Brauer, age 80, formerly of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home in Green Bay, following a valiant battle with cancer.

Duane was born July 23, 1943, in Shawano, a son of the late Elmer A. and Elizabeth J. (Chrystal) Brauer. He attended the Shawano Schools, later graduating from Shawano High School with the Class of 1961. Following high school, he relocated to Green Bay to work. While living in Green Bay he met his future wife, Marilyn Chopin. The couple was united in marriage on May 12, 1972, in Green Bay. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Green Bay their entire married life. His wife, Marilyn, passed away on August 7, 2014.

Duane loved his family. He was quick witted, funny, and always a hard worker. Duane enjoyed watching sports, especially the Milwaukee Brewers. He was a cat lover who enjoyed shooting pool, archery, horseshoes, and working outside.

Survivors include his three children, Jennifer (Kevin) Furcho, Jodi (Matt) Brauer, and Timothy Brauer; four grandchildren, Robin, Katie, Amber, and Matt; and several great grandchildren. He is further survived by six siblings and several nieces and nephews.

A public visitation for Duane Brauer will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 4:00 pm and continue until 6:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.

Obituary Preview: Carl E. Zahn Sr, age 91 of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Green Tree Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville, where he had been a resident for the past 18 months.

Carl was born October 24, 1932, in Shawano, a son of the late Edwin and Hilda (Westphal) Zahn. He attended country schools and later Shawano High School, graduating with the Class of 1951. Following high school, he hauled milk for several years. On June 9, 1956, Carl was united in marriage to the former Paula Moesch at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Following their marriage the couple lived and farmed near Pella. Carl retired from farming in 1992 and went to work at Murphy Concrete for nearly thirteen years. His wife, Paula, preceded him in death on June 23, 2015.

Carl was a long-time member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time on the Embarrass River, and shooting pool. Carl always loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Carl (Sue) Zahn Jr. of Clintonville, Doug (Rosie) Zahn of Pella, Paul (Priscilla) Zahn of Shawano, Laurie (Ron) Hepp of Clintonville, Julie (Bob) Aschenbrenner of Caroline, Stacy (Bob Adams) Zimmerman of Pella, Amy (Tom) Stefl of Shawano, and Beth (Jason) Koenig of Shawano. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Carl (Yolanda), Nathan (Kristin), Samantha (Perry), Courtney, Ian, Katie (Jamie), Mike (Tiffany), Danielle (Shawn), Emilie, David (Sierrah), Erin, Bridget, Nicholas, Trista (John Jr.), Nicole (Al), Jacob (Heather), Zachary (Kimmie), Ryder (Andrea), Logan, Carly, Gabrielle, Sofia, and Jack; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Zoey, Aiden, Sawyer, Grady, Cyndal, Cody, Brynn, Payton, Cooper, Caiden, Justice, Kara, Kendall, Khloe, Emmitt, Leighton, Jaxon, Harmony, Dominik, Meah, Carter, and Denali; and many nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by two sons, David Zahn in 1990 and Mark Zahn in 2005; granddaughter, Angela Zahn; and great grandson Lincoln Zahn.

Obituary Preview: Nicholas H. “Nic” Tholl, age 73 of Port Washington, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly in Shawano on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Nic was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on January 5, 1951, a son of Edward and Ann Marie (Skeris) Tholl. He attended school in Port Washington, graduating with the Class of 1969. While in high school Nic played football and ran track. Following graduation, Nic entered the U.S. Air Force where he served in Okinawa and Vietnam from November 27, 1970, until April 23, 1974. Upon returning from service, Nic went to work for We Energies at the Port Washington Power Plant. He also worked in construction and was a member of Laborers Local 113. In 1988 Nic and his brother, Eddie, went to Yellowstone National Park in Montana to assist in fighting the wildfires. They were part of the largest fire fighting effort in the U.S. at the time. Nic’s hobbies included photography, painting, and playing the guitar and violin. He was an animal lover and rescued numerous pets in order to give them a forever home. Nic was enthusiastic about anything Italian. He loved the food, the clothing, everything!

Survivors include his sister, Jennifer Greiert of Shawano; his brother, Richard (Debra) Rollin of Shawano; four nieces, Rachel (Nicholas) Bleser of Shawano, Rosalind (Christopher Marks) Greiert of Madison, WI, Angelica Rollin of Shawano, and Carmella Gallegos of Shawano; two great nieces and two great nephews; and his brother-in-law, John Greiert of Clintonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Edward Tholl, and an infant brother, John Tholl.

A funeral service for Nic will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Fr. Edward Looney will officiate. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm on Thursday and continue until the time of service. Shawano AmVets Post #10 will conduct military honors at the funeral home. Interment will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Port Washington.

Survivors include her children, Warren Peters, Holly Schanandore, Chevaughn Schanandore, and Cheequah Schanandore, Jr., all of Neopit; her godchildren, Devin Peters, and Denae Peters, both of Neopit; seven grandchildren; her siblings, Denise (Myron Wayka) Peters, Dana Rockman, Joseph Barnes, Shane Corn, and Lee Corn; her godmother, Wilhemina Peters; her aunts, Marcene Barnes, and Irene Barnes, her uncle Jimmy Barnes; her special parents, Dean and Mary Peters; her best friend, Christy Boyd; her special relative friend, Charlotte “Gram” Caldwell; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter, and Veronica Peters; and her godfather, Warren “Lucky” Peters.

William was born June 1, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a son of the late Clarence and Helen (Nadolny) Erdmann. On September 14, 1963, he was united in marriage to the former Jeanette Schmid at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wausau. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Shawano. Mrs. Erdmann preceded him in death on June 10, 2004.

William worked at Morning Glory as a Data Processing (IT) Manager for many years. He was a highly active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served on the church council as well as being part of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included camping, gardening, and birds.

Survivors include his three daughters, Theresa (Dean Lovejoy) Erdmann, Sarah (John Lofgren) Erdmann, and Traci (David) Froehlich; one son, David (Michelle) Erdmann; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren: siblings, Gerald Erdmann, and Joanne (Donald) Sprage; and nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette, good friend Charlotte Reynebeau, and sister-in-law, Mary Erdmann.

A Memorial Mass for William will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano, Fr. Edward Looney will be the Celebrant. Obituary Preview: Cecilia Alice Kugel, age 92 of the Town of Waukechon, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, February 9, 2024.

Cecilia was born in the Town of Belle Plaine on September 16, 1931, to the late Michael and Anna (Dillenburg) Muraski. She attended school in Shawano, graduating from Shawano High School with the Class of 1949. On June 2, 1954, she was united in marriage to Francis J. Kugel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. They made their home in the Town of Waukechon where they farmed and raised ten children. Cecilia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was involved with the Council of Catholic Women, Christian Mothers, and St. Ann’s Society of St. Wenceslaus. She enjoyed crafting and quilting blankets for her children and grandchildren. She canned vegetables from her huge garden and enjoyed her vast flower gardens where she loved to watch the butterflies gather. Cecilia also enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, reading, putting puzzles together, and listening to the Milwaukee Brewers games on the radio. She could most often be found baking for her family in the kitchen where she made the best pies!

Cecilia will be greatly missed by her children, Frank (Rochelle) Kugel, Andrew Kugel, Rita (Bill) Ecke, Chuck (Mary Lou) Kugel, and Barb (Bob) Reiter, all of Shawano, Susan (Dave) Beck of Ellsworth, Mary (John) Belschner of Green Bay, Monica (Greg) Borowski of Cecil, Carol (Jeff) Smith of Pulaski, and Dan (Peggy) Kugel of River Falls; sixteen grandchildren, Liz, Amanda, Will, Sarah, Megan, Aaron, Kathryn, Bobby, Samantha, Madeline, Brian, Garrett, Ross, Jordan, Devin, and Brinley; nine great-grandchildren, Haley, Raegan, Aubrey, Tao, Emmers, Landon, Harrison, Alice, and Arthur; two sisters, Joan Muraski and Kathryn Ziemer; and her brother-in-law, Tom Kugel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, on April 27, 2005; and two sisters, Margaret Petit, and Delores Breitenfeldt.

Following Robert’s retirement, he traveled extensively and always found a job to keep him busy. His hobbies included playing and collecting guitars, riding his motorcycle, and traveling in his R.V.

Survivors include his two sons, Robert Luchinske Jr of Monroeville, AL, and Rodney (Kari) Luchinske of Hartland, WI; grandchildren, Jacob, Kendra, and Stacey Luchinske of Hartland, WI; two brothers, Gary (Chris) Luchinske and Bernard Luchinske; sister, Linda Luchinske; step-daughters, Karen, Patricia, Lisa, Priscilla, and Donna; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his fiancée, Pyong Kukchoi and three brothers, Randy, Steve, and Dennis Luchinske.

Following high school, he went to technical college and learned how to weld. He then moved to Florida where he worked for several years. Wayne later found his place and has resided on the Stockbridge Munsee reservation for over thirty years. He earned is Bachelor’s Degree and served as the Stockbridge Munsee Clerk of Courts for over 15 years. Wayne was known for always being willing to help others. Wayne was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He loved to fish, grill, and sing his folk songs.

Survivors include his eight children, Robert (Angie) Jacobs of Lapwai, ID, Wayne Malone Jr of Wisconsin Rapids, Tara Jacobson of Duluth, MN, Rachel Howes of Superior, Justin Coon of Ozaukee, Martin Malone of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Destiny Malone of Fond du Lac, and Lena Malone of Bowler; sister, Lois Siim of Green Bay. He is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his soul mate, Cheryl Jacobs; daughter, Naomi Malone; two brothers, Otho and John Malone; and four sisters, Donna, Brenda, Velma, and Eleanor.

Judi was born January 17, 1949, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Arleigh and Elnora (Carlson) Roloff. She attended St. James Grade School followed by Shawano High School where she graduated with the Class of 1967. After high school Judi attended beauty school in Green Bay, then became a hairdresser at Spurgeon’s Department Store in Shawano. On January 16, 1971, Judi was united in marriage to Thomas J. Bartels at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. She continued working at Spurgeon’s until her first daughter, Lisa, was born. Judi then stayed home to care for her family.

Judi was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano where she was active with the Emmaus Group and was the secretary at Sacred Heart Catholic School. She then worked for the Shawano School District as a computer aide at both the middle school and the high school. Judi’s family was incredibly important to her, and she strived to create family traditions for her family to continue. Judi attended her grandchildren’s activities as much as possible. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, cooking, baking, and canning. Her husband preceded her in death on August 4, 2015.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Lisa (fiancé Joe Hurst) Andreas of DePere, and Danielle (Nat) Hoeper of Oshkosh; her grandchildren, Carson and Ava Andreas, Cadence, Benjamin, and Brooke Hoeper, and Indiah and Kade Hurst; her brother, Jeff (Mary) Roloff of Shawano; her brother-in-law, Larry Bartels of Reedsburg; her sister-in-law, Lynn Bartels of Reedsburg; her uncle, Jim Carlson of Shawano; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jim Bartels, and her sister-in-law, Joan Bartels.

Ivan was born April 25, 1932, in Maple Creek, Wisconsin, a son of the late Louis and Anna (Sujinski) Young. He attended school in Bear Creek, graduating from Bear Creek High School with the Class of 1950. Following high school, Ivan farmed until enlisting in the U.S. Navy in September of 1952. He served his country until March of 1960 when he was honorably discharged. When Ivan returned from service, he worked at Hillshire in New London.

On June 23, 1962, Ivan was united in marriage to the former Theresa Heidemann at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Clintonville where Ivan worked for FWD for 30 years before retiring. The couple then moved to Oconto and later settled in Shawano. Mrs. Young preceded him in death on February 5, 2018.

Ivan is a good and faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. His hobbies included gardening, playing cards, doing various puzzles, and he LOVED playing bingo. In his younger years, Ivan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include his children, Damian Young of Waupaca, Gemma (Joe) Niemuth of Tavares, FL, Ignatius Young of Elton, WI, Imelda (Matthew) Mueller of Orlando, FL, and Jeremy Young of Oshkosh; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters.

A Funeral Mass for Ivan will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Fr. Edward Looney will be the Celebrant. Entombment will be in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Shawano. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 am and continue until the time of Mass. Etta was born May 16, 1929, in the Town of Hartland, Shawano County, WI, a daughter of the late John and Ida (Heller) Liesner. She attended school in Bonduel, graduating from Bonduel High School with the Class of 1946. Following high school, Etta worked as a nanny and housekeeper for former Green Bay Packer, Don Hutson. She also worked as a waitress at Club La Vida on the Cloverleaf Lakes, where she met her future husband, Arthur Ninman. They married on August 22, 1953, at Friedens Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Following their marriage, the couple lived on and farmed the family homestead in the Town of Belle Plaine. Mr. Ninman preceded her in death on July 14, 1994.

Etta was a faithful member of St. Martin Lutheran Church-Belle Plaine where she served with the Ladies Aide Society. Etta loved reading and tending her flower gardens. She was also a long-time member of the Belle Plaine Homemakers.

Survivors include two sons, William Ninman of the Town of Belle Plaine, and Todd (Nancy) Ninman, of Madison, WI; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Christopher) Rodriguez-Ninman, and Christopher (Antonella) Ninman, all of Brooklyn, NY; three great-grandchildren, Matteo, Alejandro, and Xavier; her sister, Nora (Bill) Klinger of Flippin, AR; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was born on September 17, 1924, in Gillett, to the late Hugh B. and Irene (Thompson) Magee. Joyce graduated from Pulaski High School. On June 25, 1949, Joyce was united in marriage to William Robert Scheider, Jr. in Green Bay, WI. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2001.

Joyce was a delight to be around. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she loved everyone she met. She was a strong woman who beat cancer not once, but three times, always with no complaints and a smile on her face. Joyce enjoyed spending as much time with her children and grandchildren as she could. Her greatest joys were being with her family, laughing, gardening, cooking, and dancing. She loved pie, listening to polka music, reading magazines, and tending to their horses. Many days you could find her children and grandchildren sitting around her kitchen table eating her famous tuna salad. She was the sweetest mother and grandmother and she will be missed dearly.

Joyce is survived by her four children, Jim Scheider, of Appleton, Mike Scheider, of Shawano, Bette Walby, of Shawano, and Mary (Mike) Duebler, of Shawano; four grandchildren, Lisa (Corey) Klose, Maya Duebler (Timothy Condon), Ryan (Abby) Duebler, and Brittany Cuenca; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis Magee and Orriene Buckley, Elwood and Elva Magee.

Elmer was born June 11, 1922, in Kewaunee County, Wisconsin, a son of the late Herman and Ada (Kirchman) Martens. He moved to Shawano as a child, graduating from Shawano High School with the Class of 1940. Following high school, Elmer was employed by the City of Shawano.

On November 8, 1947, Elmer was united in marriage to the former Ruth Bernhagen at Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass. He then went to work for the Shawano County Highway Department for 37 years, retiring in 1978. Ruth preceded him in death on November 23, 2012.

Elmer was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano where he served on the Board of Elders and the Finance Committee. He was also active with the city government, serving as an alderman for 13 years. Elmer is a past member of the Shawano Lions Club and the Musicians Union. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and riding his motorcycle. Prior to Ruth’s death, the couple enjoyed spending winters in Texas.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Karen Martens of Appleton; two nieces, Patti (Bob) Francis of Shawano, and Kelly (Russ) Miller of Neenah; two nephews, Douglas (Nicole) Martens of Milwaukee, and Scott (Kim) Martens of New London; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Martens; his sister, Marilyn (Raymond) Zabel; and his stepmother, Ida (Gehm) Martens.

Angarose (Wilfuhr) Peeters. On October 7, 1961, she was united in marriage to Jerry J. Senzig in Bear Creek. They were blessed with three sons, Gregory, Todd, and Troy. The couple made their home in Shawano, enjoying time in Red River and eventually building their dream home on the channel in town. Kathy is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano and when her boys were young, she volunteered for Christian Mothers (CCW). After many years, she retired in 2000 from Midwest Breeder (Genex), and she and Jerry also sold the family business to their son Todd. Kathy and Jerry wintered in Arizona, but always returned home for family holidays and in the summer to enjoy their children and grandchildren.

The family spent time in the Northwoods at cabins in Conover, Crandon and Rhinelander, where they enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and bowling. Reflecting on Kathy’s life, she centered everything around her family. She was always cheering Jerry, the boys, and grandchildren on during sporting and school events. She enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters, as well as their families. She also made many friendships along her journey which she greatly cherished. Kathy was a humble, dear heart, and gentle person who lived life selflessly. She always had a smile on her face, eager to help others with any sort of project or kitchen task. She had a green thumb and loved her flower gardens. There wasn’t much she couldn’t do and was a true example of how to live life. Kathy’s unconditional love and support could always be found in one of many places – by your side, cheering you on, guiding you when you were lost, picking you up if you fell, and celebrating life’s blessings. Jim was born May 29, 1944, in Keshena, a son of the late John Mose and Elmira (Moon) Kaquatosh. Jim attended St. Anthony Catholic Grade School and later attended Antigo High

School for two years. He then spent his junior and senior year at Shawano, graduating from Shawano High School with the Class of 1962. Jim ran cross country and track, setting numerous records. Jim was inducted into the Shawano High School Hall of Fame and later the Menominee Hall of Fame for his achievements in running and boxing. In his younger years Jim enjoyed hunting, shooting pool, playing basketball, baseball, and softball. Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Army serving for two years during the Vietnam Era. Upon returning from service, he was employed at Menominee Tribal Enterprises. Jim spent most of his career in the lumber industry.

On July 19, 1969, Jim was united in marriage to Kathleen Dodge at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. Following their marriage, the couple lived briefly in Appleton but returned to Keshena. Jim retired from Menominee Tribal Enterprises as the Director of Sales. He is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan. Jim was very personable and never forgot a name or face. “Jim Kaq” will be remembered for his humorous nature, jokes, athletic achievements, and even his tube socks.
