Obituary Preview: Robyn Renee Britt, 52, of Owatonna, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 1, 1971 in Charlottesville Virginia, to Reverend Hugh and Delores (Johnson) Wilson. Robyn grew up in Culpeper, Virginia and graduated as a member of the 1989 class. After high school she joined the United States Army where she saw and fell in love with Steven Britt, Jr. On April 16, 1992 the couple were united in marriage at Junction City, Kansas and were blessed with two children, Airion and Dominique. The couple moved to Minnesota then down to the south eastern states before making their way back up to Minnesota. Robyn worked for Viracon in their training department since 1995.
Robyn loved to read books, add to her purse collection, play bingo, and go with her in-laws on casino runs to have some fun. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Wild fan. You would also see her on the softball diamond playing fast-pitch softball. She also liked anything Disney and she loved her two rottweilers dearly and called them, “Her Boys”. Everyone she met became a friend for life. Robyn’s exuberant spirit was infectious and loved by many.
She is survived by her husband Steven Britt, Jr of Owatonna; son, Airion Britt of Shoreview; sisters, Sandra (and Nathan) Mathews of Las Vegas, NV, Pat (and Robert) Woodard of Decatur, GA; sister-in-law, Kimmy Britt of Owatonna; brother-in-law Travis Britt of Owatonna; mother-in-law Sue Britt of Owatonna; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; her boys, Jax and Tyson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Reverend Hugh and Delores Wilson; daughter, Dominique Britt; sisters, Joyce and Frances Wilson; father in law, Steven Britt, Sr.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 4PM to 7PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11AM at Redemption Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. There will be a small lunch after the service at the church. The Steele County Military Unit will be providing military honors.

Obituary Preview: Olivia Kay Marie Flores, 18, of Owatonna, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
She was born November 22, 2005 in Owatonna, to Carlos and Stephanie (Oleson) Flores. Growing up Olivia knew that she wanted to be a cheerleader, and she was her brother Christian’s personal cheerleader in every sport that he played in. Olivia had a passion for cheer, she won numerous events from; Toe Touch competition, two-time state cheer champion, and lettering over 10 times on the Owatonna Cheer Teams. She had the true leader personality, wanting to make you better because she knew that you could be better. She would work endlessly at different stunts to prove that it could be done, and then help show and teach you that you can do it too.
Olivia loved being a teenager and enjoying life and her family and friends. She loved to wear her athleisure wear with her Stanley mug and go out to eat and enjoy being around those that she wanted to spend quality time with. Olivia loved watching musicals with her dad and singing Wicked and the Wizard of Oz, and she would jump, dance and sing with him. She would Curl up and snuggle with her mom and watch countless movies and binge watch tv shows and lose track of time because of the quality time they shared. Olivia at night if her dad didn’t come down to say goodnight would go to the stairs and ask him, “Are you coming down”. She did things Liv’s Way, she was fearless, adventurist, wanting to experience the world, but most of all she just wanted to have fun.
She is survived by her parents, Carlos and Stephanie Flores of Owatonna; brother, Christian Flores; Premium Uncle, Jon Oleson; grandparents, Randy Oleson, Cindy Oleson, Maria Rodriguez; great-grandma Caroline Sorenson; aunts, Anna (Jaime) Trevino, Lisa (Mark) Barrie, Michal (Bryan) Otte, Jenna Kaplan; uncle, Alberto Garza; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Mario Rodriguez; great-uncle, Gary Boettcher; great-grandparents Clarence Boettcher, Amalia Rodriguez, Herb Sorensen, and Darrell and LaVonne Oleson.
A graduation celebration will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday May 29th, 2024 from 3PM to 6PM. Service will be held on, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 6PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Todd Buegler officiating. Those that are attending are encouraged to wear casual or their Owatonna Husky attire.

Evelyn R Bernet - August 19, 1934 - May 17, 2024

Obituary Preview: Evelyn Ruth Bernet, 89, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, May 17, 2024 in Owatonna.
She was born on August 19, 1934, in New Ulm the beloved daughter of Kurt and Erna (Harms) Sauer. Her early education at St. Paul’s Lutheran School was the cornerstone of her deep and abiding Christian faith.
Evelyn graduated from New Ulm High School in 1952 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Education from Mankato State in 1956. She began her teaching career in Windom and Owatonna, where she touched many young lives with her dedication and kindness.
On August 9, 1958, Evelyn married Robert Bernet in New Ulm. The couple settled in Owatonna, where they lovingly raised their three children. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was characterized by her selfless service to others.
Evelyn was deeply involved in her community. She volunteered at the Food Co-op and was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, serving as a Sunday school and confirmation teacher. She was also a member of the Owatonna Women’s Club, Home Economics Club, and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Additionally, she was a dedicated 4-H leader, always supportive and engaged in her children's activities.
Evelyn had a variety of passions that enriched her life and the lives of those around her. She enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, cooking, baking, and sewing. Winters spent in Arizona with her husband and friends, along with her love for travel and ballroom dancing, added to her joy and fulfillment.
Evelyn's life was a testament to the kind and gentle spirit of servanthood. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Robert L. Bernet of Owatonna; children, Julia (and Robert) Wacloff of Tempe, AZ, Vincent (and Suzanne) Bernet of Maplewood, Alicia (and David) Jacobsen of Lakeville; seven grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren as well as nieces and a nephew.
Evelyn’s legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date with interment at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston. Memorials are preferred to The Lutheran Hour or to the donor’s choice.

Obituary Preview: Donald Richard Sommer, 87, of Owatonna, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Traditions II.
He was born December 12, 1936 in Owatonna, to Leonard and Alice (McKimm) Sommer. He grew up in rural Owatonna and attended county school near Pontoppidan. After he completed school, Donald worked on the family farm. Which he later bought and farmed until he retired from farm work and moved into town. He later mowed lawns until his final retirement.
Donald loved to be in his woodworking shop making things for friends and family members. During his free time he liked to watch The Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. you could see him sitting on his front of his house waving to people as they drove and walked by his house.
He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Ennis of TX, Cathy Hill of AZ; brother, Butch Sommer of Ellendale, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Alice Sommer; sister, Grace Kubat; brother, Roger Sommer; and two nephews

Nada was born on April 10, 1929 in Lincoln Township, Lake Crystal, Blue Earth County, MN. She is survived by her children; Jana White of Cottage Grove, Diana (John) Vasicek of Vadnais Heights, MN, Laurie Stewart of Owatonna, MN, and Jeff (Shari) Wiggins of Minneapolis, MN - her grandchildren; Matthew (Andrea) White, Michael Vasicek, Natalie (Nikita) Klochan, Tamaryn Wiggins and Leo Wiggins – and her great grandchildren Malcolm White, Maryn and Freya Klochan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wiggins, her parents Fred and Nina Fredericksen, and 4 siblings; Wyelene Fredericksen, Earle Fredericksen, Elsie Williams and Frances McGuire.
Nada attended Mankato State University and the University of MN. She taught Home Economics for 2 years in Gibbon, MN prior to her marriage to Donald Wiggins. Nada and Don were happily married for 52 years. They moved to Owatonna in 1959 and Nada has lived there the rest of her life.
She provided daycare to about 60 children over a period of years. She did custom sewing for many years, sewing christening gowns, wedding dresses, custom adult clothing and alterations. She was an active 4-H Leader when her kids were growing up. Nada and Don were active members of First Baptist Church in Owatonna for about 50 years.
She loved to be with her family, including nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren loved the little notes, small gifts on a pillow and individual time she spent with them. She enjoyed country and gospel music, especially The Gaithers. Her biggest passion was making quilts. Each one of her children and grandchildren have a quilt handmade by her.
Nada lived at Traditions 1 for 2 years. She received wonderful care and made many friends with both residents and staff. Moments Hospice worked with Traditions at the end, providing exceptional comfort care.

Obituary Preview: Edith Sellner-Osborn, 92, of Owatonna, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Owatonna Hospital surrounded by family.
She was born May 5, 1931 in Cordova Township to Byron and Mabel (Elliott) Bickell. Grew up in rural Le Seuer and in Waseca. She was married to Orie Sellner in 1947 and they were blessed with four children. The couple later divorced in 1976. Edith Later married William “Bill” Osborn on June 8, 2002, and they were together until his passing in 2016. She worked at SPX and Owatonna Tool Company for over 17 years before retiring in 1993. Edith was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School, helped assemble the monthly newsletter, and helped service lunches at various events. Edith was also a lifetime member of the VFW 3723 Auxiliary and served as Junior Vice President and Chaplain. Solo Parents and Singles Inc Edith was active on the local and national level and received the National Outstanding Member of 1992 award.
Edith was a very positive, kind, warm person and always looked for the good in everyone and every situation. She was also a huge Minnesota sports fan and keeping track of the schedules and making sure that she watched as many as she could. Most of all, Edith adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter, Kathy (and Timothy) McMann of Owatonna, son, David (and Mara) Sellner of Ellendale; grandchildren, Justin Sellner, Dalton (and Jess) Sellner, Tim McMann Jr (and Gina Kanto), Kelly (and Chris) Masche, and Kate McMann; great-grandchildren, Cash, Ryker, Ronan, Jasmine, Brenden, Hunter, Hudson, Kenzie (and Jake) Belina, Morgan, Mason, Jack, Kayla, and Noelle; sisters, Violet Yerhot of Waseca, Bonnie (and Jerry) Lieberg of Stillwater; step-children, Bob (and Julie) Osborn, Doug (and Lisa) Osborn, Gary (and Amanda Johnson) Osborn, and Janet Gilreath all of Winnebago; 12 step-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Osborn; parents, Byron and Mabel Bickell; children, Ronald and Donald Sellner; siblings, Mary Caswell, Irving Bickell, Betty Kulas, Walter Bickell, Virginia McColley; step-daughter, Cheryl Arndt.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 1PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Amanda Floy will be officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Garden Cemetery.

She was born September 2, 1949 in Postville, Iowa the daughter of Dean and Irene (Erickson) DeSart. She grew up in Elgin, Iowa where she graduated from high school.
On August 17, 1969, she married David Leonhart and they had two children, Brenda and Eric. On January 1, 2005 she married Craig Johnson in Las Vegas and the couple made their home in Owatonna.
Along with raising her children, Deborah worked at Truth in Owatonna for 25 years.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, shopping, traveling, going to movies, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins, and watching her grandson, Brandon Moen wrestle.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Owatonna.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Johnson of Owatonna; children, Brenda (and Jason) Biesterfeld of Owatonna; Benjamin Johnson, Christopher Otterson and Marshall Otterson all of Killeen, TX; brother, James (and Barbara) DeSart of Des Moines, IA, and their daughter, Megan; sister, Kimberly Edwards of Clear Lake, IA; grandchildren, Brandon Moen of Owatonna, Jacob Ronningen of West Concord and Thomas Biesterfeld of Owatonna and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Irene; husband, David Leonhart; son, Eric Leonhart; brother, Mark DeSart and other relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Mike Walerius will officiate. A pizza buffet (Deborah’s favorite food) will immediately follow the service. Private interment will be held at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.

She was born August 1, 1954 in Kenosha, Wisconsin the daughter of Clarence and Frances (Gorski) Hansen. She grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin. When she was 12 years old, a tragic house fire claimed the lives of her parents and brothers, Clarence “Butch” and Kenneth. Renee went to live with her aunt and uncle Lorraine and Jon Heins.
On July 4, 1991, she married William “Rick” Miller in Las Vegas. The couple lived in Owatonna.
Renee loved spending time with family and friends. She loved the outdoors and especially spending time with her grandchild Cassie in the garden.
She is survived by children, Jennifer (Marc) Emmons of Owatonna and John Haase of Owatonna; granddaughter, Cassandra Emmons of Owatonna; siblings, Brenda Hansen Elrod of Kenosha, Doug (Myung) Heins of Waltham, Jon (Cindy) Heins of Kenosha and Dawn (Mark) Frieberg of Hayfield; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She married Dallas Howell in 1956. The couple lived in a number of places around the United States and retired in Owatonna in 2003.
Vivian enjoyed crafting, playing bingo, socializing, garage sales, thrift store shopping and spending time with her family, especially visits from her grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Myron (and Tamra) Howell of northern Minnesota, and Michelle (and Peter) Larson of Owatonna; 8 grandchildren, Candice (son, Parker), Michelle (children, Roary, Danika, Destiny), Joshua (daughter, Lana), Darla Jean (children, Brooke, Mason, Cyrus), Thomas (children Haleigh, Noah, Jonah), Arianna (children, Michael, Carter, Austin), Stephen (children Natalie, Ty, Nevaeh) and Bobbie Jo (children Carlie, Oliver) and brother, Charles Larson of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Flora; husband, Dallas; infant daughter, Darla Jean; son, Michael and sister, Shirley.

She was born the daughter of George and Erna (Buttenhoff) Brocker on May 2, 1948 in Owatonna where she grew up.
She was married to Michael Piepho and Joseph Brookins, both of whom preceded her in death.
Georgy worked as a bank teller in Owatonna. In June of 2023, she entered Lakeshore Rehabilitation Center in Waseca when her health began to decline. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, listening to country music and fishing.
She is survived by daughters, Heather (and Shane) Cox of Grand Rapids, MI and Angel Piepho of Mankato; sister, Carole (and James) Ebeling of Owatonna; grandchildren, Elijah and Abby; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Erna; husbands, Michael Piepho and Joseph Brookins and sister, Betty Guse.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM at Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Clinton Falls Township north of Owatonna.

Jacquolyn "Jackie" A. Braulik - April 26, 1935 - April 15, 2024

Obituary Preview: Jacquolyn “Jackie” Ann Braulik, 88, of Owatonna, died Monday, April 15, 2024 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born April 26, 1935 in New Richland, Minnesota the daughter of Floyd and Gertrude (Bethke) Haushahn. She grew up in New Richland where she graduated from high school in 1953. Following her schooling, she worked at Federated Insurance in Owatonna.
She was united in marriage to Jack Braulik on June 2, 1956 at the Congregational Church in New Richland. The couple made their home on a farmstead south of Owatonna where they raised their family.
Along with being a wife and mother, Jackie worked as the bookkeeper for Richard Moore’s Shaklee Products in the mornings and worked in home healthcare in the afternoons and evenings providing a valuable service to many people allowing them to remain in their homes.
Jackie enjoyed sewing in her younger years. She made Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren, and made doll clothes for the grandchildren. She also enjoyed making Easter baskets and loved to shop for clothes at her favorite store, The Dress Barn at the outlet mall in Medford. She loved her animals and many people knew Jackie from her many walks with her pets throughout the neighborhood.
Jackie was a member of Associated Church for many years and attended as long as her health allowed.
She is survived by sons, Jim (and Lucy) Braulik of Mason City, IA and Todd (and Sallie Newbowers Braulik) Braulik of Owatonna; grandchildren, James (and Katie) Braulik, Sarah Braulik, Jeffrey (and Stephanie) Braulik, Charity Braulik, Misty Obernolte, Candy Braulik, Jacob Newbowers Bartel and Alec Newbowers; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Gertrude; husband, Jack Braulik and sisters, Arlene Kroeger and Bobbie Smith.

She was born October 7, 1936 in Owatonna, to Ewald and Frieda (Schley) Ost. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna, where she was a lifetime member. Sandra graduated from Owatonna High School in 1955 and received a B.S. Degree from Hamline University in 1959. She also earned an MBA in 1984 from the University of St. Thomas. She worked as a medical technologist/cytotechnologist for 39 years, retiring from Regions Hospital. She returned to Owatonna and the family home where she had grown up.
Sandra was a charter member of the Minnesota Society of Cytology as well as a member of several other professional organizations, including the International Academy of Cytology. Her hobbies included reading, genealogy research, gardening, knitting, and more reading. She especially enjoyed lunches with friends-old and new.
In her retirement she was active in the Women’s Club of Owatonna, chairing committees and holding the positions of Treasurer and President. She was also active in the Hospital Auxiliary, Steele County Historical Society, and her church where she sang in the choir. She served on the Scholarship Committee, Altar Guild, and was on the church counsel for 4 years.
She is survived by sister in law, Charlene Ost; nieces, Julie (and Gene) Nelson of Owatonna, Karen (and Matt) Thurnau; nephews, Chuck Ost of Wells, Bill (and Lynn) Ost of Owatonna, and Mike Ost of Oakes, ND; 11 great-nieces and nephews; 3 great-great-nieces and nephews, with one on the way; aunt and several cousins in the area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewald and Frieda Ost; brother, Stuart Ost.

Gary D. Hoberg - June 19, 1939 - April 13, 2024

Obituary Preview: Gary DeLane Hoberg, 84, of Owatonna, died Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca.
He was born June 19, 1939 in Waseca, Minnesota the son of Lloyd and Mildred (Weckwerth) Hoberg. He grew up in Waseca and graduated from Waseca High School, Class of 1957. Gary was inducted into the Waseca High School Hall of Fame in 2015 as a 4 sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball and track).
On November 23, 1968, Gary married Janet Klemmer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. The couple made their home in Owatonna where they raised their family.
Gary owned and operated Hoberg Landscaping and worked at Owatonna Tool Company from which he retired in 2001.
Gary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. He enjoyed watching any and all sports, tending to his flower gardens and lawn and keeping up with his grandchildren.

She was born July 7, 1930 in Aurora Township to Dominik and Mathilda (Hammann) Moravec. Delores attended country school while helping on the family farm and then worked for Owatonna Canning Company. She met Marvin Neubauer and on January 24, 1954 the couple was married at the old St. John Lutheran Church on State Avenue in Owatonna.
Delores loved to read, cross-stitch, crochet, and complete her various puzzles. She was always tending to her big garden on the farm and baking or cooking a delicious meal for her family. Delores was a member of the St. John’s Fellowship Club and the Ladies Aid. You wouldn’t dare call her when she was watching the Wheel of Fortune or listening to the Party Line on KRFO. Most of all, Delores loved to spend quality time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Larry Neubauer of Owatonna, Linda (and John) Rowan of Northfield, David (and Donna) Neubauer of Claremont, Donna (and Elwen) Dittmer of Owatonna, Ronald Neubauer of Claremont, Rhonda (and Jesse) Walderon of Owatonna; grandchildren, Tracy, Kelly, Lindsey (and Blake), Christa (and Donavin), Heidi (and Ryan), Jill (and Tim), Sara (and Ryan), Nathan (and Megan), Steven (and Danielle), Edward, Lucas, Trace, and Garrett; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Bertha Moravec.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Neubauer; parents, Dominik and Mathilda Moravec; grandsons, Randy Neubauer, Justin Neubauer; brother, Alvis Moravec; daughter-in-law, Nanette Neubauer.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 4PM to 7PM. He was born August 5, 1954 in Austin, Minnesota to Arthur and Donna (Lambert) Froehlich. Gary grew up in Austin and graduated from Austin High School. After high school he joined the United States Army, where he served 3 years in Germany. Upon returning from the service Gary attended Austin Community College and graduated with a welding certificate. He worked various welding jobs in the area before medically retiring in 1999.
Gary was a diehard Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan. In his free time, he liked to cross-stitch, complete crossword puzzles, and drag his son to go ride bike around town. Gary loved his family dearly and his birds and dog, Duke. He is survived by his wife Diane Froehlich of Owatonna; sons, Joshua Froehlich of Owatonna, Dakota (and Shailyne) Froehlich of Waseca; grandchildren, Brycen, Brooklynn, and Bayleigh; step-grandchildren, Abigal and Asher
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur (and Donna) Froehlich and Baby Froehlich.
There will be a graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna, on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1:30PM. The Steele County Military Unit will be providing military honors.

He was born June 30, 1929 in Albert Lea, Minnesota the son of William and Abbie (Floyd) Duncan. He grew up in Le Center, Minnesota and graduated from Le Center High School, Class of 1947.
Floyd was united in marriage to Jackie Smith on November 5, 1955 in Le Center, Minnesota. The couple lived in Owatonna where they raised their family. Floyd was employed at Federated Insurance where he was an IBM Card Punch Operator. He retired in 1991. He served in the Minnesota National Guard and received an honorable discharge.
Floyd enjoyed bowling, camping, playing cards and square dancing. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Eagle’s Club, the American Legion and the DoSiDo Square Dancing Club.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Duncan; daughters, Rhonda (Tom) Kremer and Nancy Duncan (Roger Read); granddaughter, Kaci (Zack) Cavallaro and their son, Graham Cavallaro and granddaughter Randi Kremer.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Abbie and son, Charles "Chuck" Duncan (2003).
At Floyd’s request, no services will be held. A private burial will be at a later date in St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.

(Day Activity Center) and then in 1981 she started Rainbow Residence. She ran Rainbow Residence until 1993 when she retired.
She is survived by her 4 children; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Ekelund; parents, Reynold and Dorothy Lundquist; son, Thomas Ekelund.
Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Amanda Floy will be officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

He was born June 30, 1943, at home on the farm in Lemond Township the son of Charles and Virginia (Fischer) Miller. He attended country school and high school in Owatonna through the 10th grade.
He married Beverly Holleschau on May 12, 1973 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna. They made their home on the Miller family farm where they raised their family.
LaVerne was a farmer, milked cows, and raised beef cattle. He always enjoyed mowing and putting up hay. He was a devoted John Deere man all his life. He enjoyed attending anything where John Deere equipment was shown and especially enjoyed auctions.
In his free time, he enjoyed dancing with Beverly, snowmobiling, fishing and ice fishing, drives in the country, anything made with blueberries, eating at The Kernel in Owatonna, watching western shows, wrestling, old time music, card games (Nickels) and his 1964 Chevy Impala (his first car).
He is survived by his children, Linda Miller, Stephan Stenzel, Ken (Cheryl) Stenzel, Doris Ulrich, Dee Ulrich, Marilyn (Darrell) Weber, Russ Stenzel, Pat (Dale) Seykora, Tom (Cheryl) Stenzel, Tonya (Keith) Ingvaldson, and Tim (DaNae) Stenzel all of the surrounding area; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, LaVonne (Dale) Strand of Pine River, Louise Stenzel of Meriden and Leona Rieck of Owatonna; sisters in law, Candy Fischer of Rice Lake, WI and Lola Eastlund of Fridley and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virginia; wife, Beverly Miller; son, Michael Stenzel; brother, Tim Fischer; sister and brother in law, Lorraine and Emil Rieck: sons in law, Robert and Hans Ulrich; and brother in law, Norman Rieck.

He was born November 16, 1924 in Meriden, Minnesota the son of Oscar and Esther (Fette) Buecksler. The family moved to Waseca and lived there until 1936 when they moved to Owatonna. Bud helped his father on the farm until 1948. He married Jean Ferguson and they had two children, James and Gerald, and later divorced. In 1955, he began driving truck for Herman Larson and in 1963 purchased the business from Herman. Bud owned and operated his own trucking company for 10 years. He then was the trucking manager for Steele County Shipping Association where he also served on the board. He then drove milk truck and worked at Manke Service. In 1987, he began working for Turf Supply in Eagan and retired after 18 years.
He is survived by companion, Shirley Buecksler of Owatonna; son, Gerald “Jerry” (Valerie) Buecksler of Brownsdale; grandchildren, Tracee Underwood, Kris (Renee) Buecksler, Kayleena (Eaton) Miller, Caleb (Amy) Buecksler and Andrea (Derrick) Adams; siblings, Victor (Joyce) Buecksler of Owatonna, John “Jack” Buecksler of Luck, WI, Florence Grunwald of Forest Lake and Shirley (Glen) Nelson of Owatonna; 13 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Esther Buecksler; son, James Buecksler and brother, Arne Buecksler.

Nathan was a quiet, caring, and generous person. He was the one you called when you needed help, knowing he’d be right there for you. Nate was fearless and adventurous (always willing to try new things), a problem solver (he knew how to fix most things), and dedicated to his work, which he loved.
He was married to Jackie Morten and they were blessed with two children, Jordyn and Rylan. He loved children and was a good teacher. He enjoyed family time and was fond of his dogs.
He is survived by his children, Jordyn (Greysen) Deblaay of Kasson and Rylan Avery of Kasson; partner, Erin Fjerstad of Wanamingo; mother, Vicky Avery of Wanamingo; siblings, Heidi (Tony) Mueller of Ramsey, Heather Avery Overson of Mantorville and Mark “Tony” (Jamie) Avery of West Concord; step-children, Dylan (Makayla) Fitzpatrick of Rochester and Kirsten (Matt) Schultz of Waltham; grandchildren, Weston and Hazel Deblaay, Bryant, Maverick, Logan and Eli Fitzpatrick and Waylon Schultz and other relatives and friends.

Ernie was a devoted family man. He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Wabeke, on April 5, 1975, and together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a loving father to Michele (Nick) Wigern and a doting grandfather to Kade and Carter Wigern.
Ernie will be remembered for his love of sports, including fast-pitch softball, bowling, golf, hunting, and fishing. Ernie was a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan and proudly sported team gear every chance he got. After retirement from Owatonna Tool Company, Ernie was a regular member of the card group at Wegner’s Pool Hall. In recent years, he was often found in the stands cheering on his grandsons at their sporting events. Ernie was always the life of the party and ready with a quick one-liner to fill a room with laughter. His family often teased him about being a man who never aged or grew up.
Ernie was involved in many different organizations through the years, and his unwavering kindness and generosity towards others has created a multitude of cherished memories. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ernie is survived by his daughter Michele (Nick) Wigern, his grandsons, Kade and Carter Wigern, brother Eugene (Judy) Zeise, multiple nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia (Patty), parents Ernest and Amelia, and sister Janet (Maynard) Blume.

Shortly after graduating high school she met Lowell Schultz, and on August 5, 1956 they were married at Associated Church in Owatonna. Betty worked at Jostens for a short time before working at home to care for their children. In 1974, when Lowell started Schultz Real Estate, Betty worked with him until their retirement in 2001. They loved to spend time in the winter at their house in Arizona.
She is survived by her children, Greg (and Shirley) Schultz of Owatonna, Lisa (and Len) Johnson of Chanhassen; three grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (and LaDonna) Borwege; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Schultz; parents, Albert and Alyce Borwege; siblings, Joan Grunklee, Shirlee Kos, Brian Borwege, Renota Srp.

Marilyn Reistad, the daughter of Howard and Irene (Eaker) Hanson, was born on April 21, 1939, in Waterloo, Iowa. They moved to Ellendale where she attended school graduating from Ellendale High School and met the love of her life and future husband of 64 years, Wayne Reistad. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota. On June 21, 1959, she was united in marriage to Wayne Reistad at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. They made their home in Ellendale where she was a homemaker and then a bookkeeper for the Ellendale Standard. They moved to Owatonna in 1996, and she continued keeping books for Ed’s GMC and at Edward Jones. They moved to Otsego in November of 2022. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Marilyn enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking. She liked to make candies at Christmas time, lefse, lutefisk and Swedish meatballs. Marilyn also was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing for the grandkids.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Reistad of Otsego, sons Ray (Judy) Reistad of Elk River, Mark (Michele) Reistad of Faribault, ; grandchildren Meghan (Jake), Courtney (Bear), Danette (Riley), Cassandra, and Riley (Peyton) and one great-grandchild on the way. She was also survived by her siblings, Raymond (Sandra) Hanson of Kearney, NE, Nancy Piazza of Pueblo, CO, Carol Proechel of Crozet, VA, Gordon (Donna) Hanson of New Richland, Glen (Linda) Hanson of Owatonna, Julie (Hugh) Carlson of Roseville. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jean Marie Reistad, siblings Leslie Hanson, Janet Johnson, and Gladys Tressler.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 25th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.   Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Ellendale. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
