Nola was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on October 21, 1944 to the late Clive Sanders & Faye (Stover) Sanders. She passed from this life at her residence in Depew on April 7, 2024 at the age of 79 years, 5 months, & 17 days. Nola was raised & educated in Tahlequah & Depew. She married Jeral Dean Rains in Shawnee, Oklahoma on August 20, 1963 & they remained together until his death in 2012. Nola enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church, singing, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jimmy Sanders; & 2 Sisters: Lillie Stoddard & Loretta Sanders.

Paul was born near Antlers, Oklahoma on March 4, 1936 to the late Martin Colbert & Deloma (Guess) Colbert. He passed from this life in Bristow on October 19, 2023 at the age of 87 years, 7 months, & 15 days. He was raised & educated in the Kellyville / Slick area and had joined the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He married Cordell L. Chaney on June 3, 1958. Paul had worked as a mechanic the majority of his life & also as a security guard. He was a man of great faith & was a Deacon of Rogers Chapel Church & loved to sing and spend time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2004; 3 Brothers & 2 Sisters.

He had been a resident of the Norman Veterans Center for the past several years. She passed from this life on October 5, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 5 months, and 7 days. She was the second oldest of 6 children and she gave her life to Christ at an early age. She began her education at Rosenwald Elementary and graduated from Bristow High School in 1970. Gail married Clydell Alexander and of this union three children were born. Later she met and married James Cowans. She worked in Bristow at Kwiksett for many years and was very active in the community. Gail was well-known and loved by so many and she never met a stranger. Her dad lovingly called her "Ms. Bristow" and her mom would say "Gail loves that telephone". She could not pass a yard or garage sale without stopping and she was usually shopping for others. She lived her life so selflessly and was always taking care of others more than herself. She traveled all over the United States and sometimes she did it by 18 wheeler. She even attended truck driving school. Gail's favorite pastime was spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her significant other Joe Combs; her children Mario Alexander, Monique Ivy (Richard McDaniel) and Clydell (Buddy) Alexander, Jr all of Bristow; her siblings, Janice (Sanford) Willis of New Jersey, Jackie (Michael) Clayton of Tulsa, Steve (Yvonne) Jackson of Collinsville, Diane (Tony) Easterling of North Carolina, Mike (Susanne) McCargo of Germany and Kim (Mark) Thaxton of Tennessee; 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; one living aunt, Ernestine Snell of Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and baby brother Lawrence. She will be dearly missed by all.

She married Carl Van Bowman in Bristow on December 27, 1948 & they remained together until his death in 2015. Billie had started her career working for Gossard Garments as a seamstress. She had also worked in Missouri and was instrumental in helping set up garment factories in Sullivan, Indiana & Porta Prince, Haiti. She retired from the Bristow Garment Factory in the 1990’s. Billie enjoyed fishing, reading, crafts, embroidery, and of course, sewing. In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by a Grandson: Ricky J. Neighbors, Jr.; 2 Brothers & 2 Sisters.

Brother Cory Crane of the General Assembly Osage Church of the First Born at Agra, Oklahoma officiated. Military funeral honors were provided by the United States Army. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Bristow.
Cecil was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on March 31, 1926 to the late Bill Lyle Evans & Alba Dee (Moore) Evans. He passed from this life at his residence on September 5, 2022 at the age of 96 years, 5 months, & 5 days. Cecil was raised & educated in Chandler. He joined the United States Army in 1944 & was honorably discharged in 1946. He married Aline June Vail & they had 6 children. They were married for 16 years. He then married Frankie Lee Hand on October 4, 1971 in Seminole, OK. Since 1972 they had made their home in Bristow. Cecil was a welder by trade and had worked for Walter Brown Company welding large fuel storage tanks until retiring in 1982. He enjoyed going to flea markets & selling treasures he had found. He always tried to attend the funerals for his friends because he thought it was very important to pay your respects. His greatest joy was spending time with his girls & his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant Son: Cecil Jr.; 2 grandchildren: Shannara Byers & Brandy Sanders; 4 Great Grandchildren: Jaxon Annuschet – Bryan Sanders – Kathleen Lacy – Caliegh Byers; & 4 Sisters: Wuadean Retherford – Betty Butts – Connie Lowe - & Carolyn Kelch.
