Oscar Mitchell Jr. Brentwood, N.Y.- On April 29th, Oscar Mitchell. Jr. left this earth to be with his Beloved Wife, Virginia. Together Forever with Eternal Love.

Oscar Jr. was born to the late Julia Marrow and Oscar Mitchell Sr. on Saturday, September 14, 1940, in Henderson, North Carolina. Oscar left home and began a new chapter of his life in Newark, New Jersey. After arriving in New Jersey, he met the love of his life, Ms. Virginia Quinitchett. Through their reunion they raised 8 children, who meant the world to them.

Oscar was passionate about his role at L.I.C.P., where he worked for 30 years, before retiring. Oscar had the most gigantic heart and everyone who knew him knew how much he loved reading, listening to music, and watching baseball. Most of all, he loved and cherished his family! Oscar is predeceased by his son, William, wife, Virginia, brother, Robert and Sister-in-law, Nancy.

He leaves to mourn his passing, Robert Henderson (Shirley) Walter Henderson, Thomas Henderson, Bruce Henderson (Lillian), Gloria Mitchell-Morrow (Richard), Deborah Mitchell, Steven Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell (Ernesta), Sammy Crosson, Juliann Andres, Emma Lou Hargrove, James Harris (Catherine) William Cobb (Hattie), 27 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonged to him, the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
