Edward "Keith" Miller - May 17, 1944 - March 23, 2022

Departed: 03/23/2022 (Brooksville)
Obituary Preview: Edward “Keith” Miller, 77, of Crystal River, FL passed away peacefully with his beloved daughters by his side on March 23rd, 2022. Keith was born and raised in Brooksville, FL. He studied at Duke University while ultimately getting his degree in mathematics from the University of South Carolina. Several years after graduating Keith moved to Tampa, FL, where he met and married Lisa Vandeboe and together they welcomed daughters Kacie and Lindsey. Though Keith and Lisa divorced, they remained close friends. With a passion for adventure, Keith earned his Private Pilot’s License at 16 years old and proudly flew an airplane on his 16th birthday before he could even drive a car. In the summertime, he was a lifeguard at Weeki Wachee Springs where he swam with the mermaids (his favorite part of the job) and got to meet Elvis Presley. While spearfishing in the Bahamas, he fearlessly swam with the sharks while hunting his prey. Keith was sincere and charming, qualities that largely contributed making him the ultimate salesman. He could sell anything to anyone when he believed in the product, and he won trips all around the world as a result of it. He loved his work, boating, fishing, hunting, and football, but most of all he loved his daughters. He taught his girls so many things like driving boats and cars, how to make beef jerky and the art of negotiation. He enjoyed teaching Lindsey how to shoot guns, and watching football with Kacie successfully ensuring his love of the Buccaneers was instilled in her. Most importantly he taught them that regardless of any failure, they will consistently remain successful as long as they keep trying and always do the right thing. Keith is preceded in death by his brother, Cecil; mother, Shirley; and father, Wilburn “Goat” Miller. They are now reunited in heaven. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kacie and Jason Swann and grandchildren Sullivan (3) and Sadie (3 months); daughter, Lindsey Miller and granddaughter, Ava (12); and his girls’ mother, Lisa Vandeboe. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Keith’s honor to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, 34 Washington Street Suite 310, Wellesley Hills, MA02481www.curealz.org.
