Jesus Christ Son of God - Unknown - April 15, 2022

Departed: 04/15/2022 (Crossett)
Obituary Preview: Jesus Christ, 33, of Nazareth, died Friday on Mount Calvary, also known as Golgotha, the place of the skull.  Betrayed by the apostle Judas, Jesus was crucified by the Romans by order of the Ruler Pontius Pilate.  The causes of death were crucifixion, extreme exhaustion, severe torture, and loss of blood.
Jesus Christ, a descendant of Abraham, was a member of the House of David.  He was the son of the late Joseph, a carpenter of Nazareth, and Mary, His devoted Mother.  Jesus was born in a stable in the city of Bethlehem, Judea.  He is survived by his mother Mary, His faithful apostles, numerous disciples, and many other followers.
Jesus was self-educated and spent most of His adult life working as a teacher.  Jesus also occasionally worked as a Medical Doctor and it is reported that He healed many patients.  Up until the time of His death, Jesus was teaching and sharing the Good News, healing the sick, touching the lonely, feeding the hungry, and helping the poor.
Jesus was most noted for telling parables about His Father's Kingdom and performing miracles, such as feeding over 5,000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fish and healing a man who was born blind.  On the day before His death, He held a Last Supper celebrating the Passover Feast, at which He foretold His death.
The body was quickly buried in a stone grave, which was donated by Joseph of Arimathea, a loyal friend of the family.  By order of Pontius Pilate, a boulder was rolled in front of the tomb.  Roman soldiers were put on guard.

Elisa "Lisa" Nan Kracht - May 21, 1957 - February 24, 2022

Departed: 02/24/2022 (Crossett)
Obituary Preview: Elisa “Lisa” Nan Kracht, 64, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Baptist Health Center in Little Rock following a brief illness.  Lisa was born on May 21, 1957, in Crossett to her parents, J.W. and Nancy McArthur Harris.
Lisa had a long and successful career in the advertising and marketing fields.  She worked for various advertising agencies and television stations in the Monroe, Louisiana market, excelling in many areas of her field from sales to creative.  She also worked for several years at CenturyTel as a media buyer for over 50 U.S. markets.  Lisa’s passion, however, was video production.  She spent several fulfilling years producing safety and training videos for companies such as Georgia Pacific and Libbey Glass.
Her strong love for animals led her to a position on the board for the Ouachita Humane Society.  There, she helped produce numerous public service announcements for the shelter which ran on local television stations for many years.
Lisa gave her full heart to all she met.  She had an immense amount of love for life, her family, and her friends. Her first love, however, was for Jesus.  If you met her, you knew that her desire was to love all she encountered like Jesus would.  Even though Lisa endured unspeakable tragedy in her life, it was her unshakeable faith in God that got her through the darkest times.  She wanted everyone to know the Lord and would always say, “it’s as simple as John 3:16,” which was her favorite Bible verse.
She had a compassion for all people and never met a stranger.  Even if someone met her just once, they would never forget her.  It didn’t matter if it was a homeless person or the waitress who was having a hard day, she truly cared for each person and strived to make an impact on their life in some way.  If you were a friend of Lisa’s, then you were truly blessed.  She was a GOOD and LOYAL friend.  She would always go out of her way to make you feel special.
She had many loves and passions.  She loved gardening and taking plants that anyone else would toss away and nurturing them back to life was her particular talent.  She loved being outdoors and spending the day rock hunting with her daughter in the mountains and streams was her absolute favorite pastime.
She enjoyed researching alternative medicine and treatments and sharing her findings, and whether it was homemade soap, or discovering some wonderful supplement or new gadget, she would discover it long before anyone else had even heard of it.
Lisa is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, Barry Kracht; her sons, Eric and Jeremy Ross; her mother, Nancy Harris; and her sister, Shelley Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Rachel Kracht; her father and stepmother, J.W. and Betty Harris; and one brother, Paul Harris; along with two grandchildren, one nephew, Joshua Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1st, at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Clay Courson officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:30-3:00 p.m., at the cemetery prior to the service.

Melissa Dawn Watt - July 10, 1985 - February 22, 2022

Departed: 02/22/2022 (Crossett)
Obituary Preview: (The following obituary was written and submitted by Melissa's sister, Ashley)
If you're about to throw away an old pair of pantyhose, stop. Consider: Melissa Dawn Watt who entered eternal life on Two's Day, February 22, 2022. Her spirit is carried on by her son, her parents, her grandmother, her sisters, a significant other, and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk-in life.
We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Melissa during her 36 years among them. Never throw away old pantyhose. Use the old ones to tie gutters, child-proof cabinets, tie toilet flappers, or hang Christmas ornaments. Invite new friends to Thanksgiving dinner. If they are from another country and you have trouble understanding them, learn to "Listen with an accent". Never say mean things about anybody: they are "poor souls to pray for". Have lunch with the cognitively challenged. Keep the car keys under the front seat so they don't get lost. Make the car dance by lightly tapping the brakes to the beat of songs on the radio. Those who've taken her lessons to heart will continue to ensure every baby will be kissed, the hungry will have a home cooked meal, the guests will have a warm bed and a soft nightlight. You may read this and recall a memory that touched your heart, tickled your funny bone, or maybe made you say "huh?"
Melissa attended college at UAM where she made Dean's list. After becoming a mother, she decided to put her many creative talents to use while being a stay-at-home mother. Melissa's pride was being a mom and caring for others. She loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals and extravagant cakes for her loved ones.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Melissa. She loved a quiet evening crocheting as much as fishing and hunting with her dad. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in life's daily activities. Her hilarious yet pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Melissa is survived by her son, Dylan Ray Gaught; her grandmother, Margie O'Neal; her parents, Eddie Mack Watt, and Susan Diane Gill; her sister, Nora Christine "Chrissy" Watt (Serenity, Stacy, Damon, Remington); Ashley Watt-Bradbury (Gavien, Paisleigh, Parker, Noah, Teegan); her significant other, Brett Justin Gaught.
Melissa is reunited with her grandfather, John E. "Snort" Watt; her grandmother, Nora Pauline Watt; her brother, Stacy Mack Watt.
Friends can visit with Melissa's family at Eddie Mack's house on Hancock Road Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 5 until 9 PM.
Celebration of Life on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 2 PM at Medders Funeral Home with Bro. James Harrington officiating followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.
Dress comfortably with a splash of purple if you have it. In Melissa's memory, donations may be made to Autism, Cancer, or any charity that seeks to spread the Good News of Melissa's friend, Jesus.
