Nina Roberta Fuhr - June 02, 1947 - March 15, 2024

Departed: 03/15/2024 (Republic)
Obituary Preview: Nina Roberta Fuhr, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, left behind the cares and struggles of this earthly world to be in glory with her Savior on
March 15th, 2024. On June 2nd, 1947, Nina Roberta Warden was born to Albert Reese and Roberta Warden in Elk City, Oklahoma. Nina became the oldest of three siblings, later joined by brothers, Tim and Roger Warden. Enduring the death of her mother and a step-mother at a young age, along with two housefires,
Nina developed the sense of toughness modeled for her and her brothers by their loving father. The young family moved throughout Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri during Nina’s formative
years where jobs were to be had. Nina graduated from Marshfield High School in 1965, and began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. Soon thereafter, she met the love of her life, Roger Fuhr, while attending the Republic church of Christ. The young couple wed in June of 1969 following Roger’s graduation from Southwest Missouri State. Within a few months, Roger was drafted into service and began his military training and enlistment for Vietnam. While serving overseas, Roger received the call that his first child was born, Eric Roger. Six months later, Roger was discharged and returned home to be reunited with his new wife, and
meet his infant son. Two years later, a daughter, Holly Roberta, was born. Nina and Roger were a true team. Whether it was raising children, raising cattle, rebuilding an old farmhouse, caring for parents, spoiling grandchildren or traveling adventures, there was no one either would rather have by their side. Nina and Roger built their family farm, Pleasant Valley Ranch, together and have resided on the home place for all the years of their marriage. Nina was known
by all who ever visited for the beauty and care she took of her garden and flowers. Nina retired from the Missouri Rehabilitation Center where she had been employed as a
secretary to the Radiology Department. Nina will be remembered by all who knew and loved her for so many wonderful attributes: always having a smile, despite the many hardships she endured: her ability to fix anything she set her mind to– whether it was sewing a dress, tiling a floor, or plumbing a bathroom: her love of everything beautiful in nature, especially flowers, sunsets, birds, unique rocks, and cattle: photography and taking pictures of all that made her happy to share with those she loved; and
her fierce love and faithfulness to her family. Nina was a faithful elder’s wife and member of Mt. Vernon church of Christ. She dearly loved
her church family and being a part of the various ladies’ activities as her health allowed. Nina struggled with the limitations of pain and chronic illness, but she never let it overcome her faith or her determined spirit. She has laid aside her worn out earthly body and is now at home,
reunited with her recently departed son, Eric, and her beloved “Daddy”. Those left to mourn her absence until we meet again include her faithful and loving husband of nearly 55 years, Roger Fuhr of the home, daughter, Holly (Sterling) Coker, Marionville, Daughter-in-law, Michelle Fuhr, Billings, Granddaughter, Abby Fuhr, Billings, Grandsons, Dalton (Jacey) Coker, Mt. Vernon, Alex Fuhr, Billings, and two precious great-grandbabies that she loved more than life: Reese Edward Fuhr, and Avery Paige Coker. She is also survived by her brothers, Tim (Morgan) Warden, Roger (Kathy) Warden, step-sisters, Janet Haffner and Joyce McCammon, and step-brothers, Ted and TA Allen, as well as several beloved cousins,
nephews, and a niece. Services will be held at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic, Missouri. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19th, from 5-7 p.m. with funeral services being held on Wednesday, March 20th at 10:00
a.m. Burial will follow at Kerr Cemetery.
