Keith is survived by Lauren McMicking (Daughter) and Susan Bruorton McMicking, his brothers Bruce, Sean, and Kerry McMicking, and sister Colleen Kearney as well as multiple nephews and nieces.
The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, May 15 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation at 869 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm. Internment will be Monday, May 16 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church at 510 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Obituary Preview: Husband and father James David Williams, 79, passed away April 15, 2022, at his home in Goose Creek, SC with his wife of 30 years, Maureen, by his side.
Jim was born on June 24, 1942 in Turtle Creek, PA to Bill and Jane Williams. Jim had an older sister, Phyllis, and was the second oldest of four brothers, Chuck, Bob, Jack, and William.
Jim enlisted in the Navy at 17 years old. Over his 32 years of service, serving mostly aboard submarines, he traveled the world and climbed the ranks until retirement from the rate of Master Chief and the position of Command Master Chief in 1992. In the decades following, Jim enjoyed a successful second career of nearly 30 more years in real estate with Carolina One in the Goose Creek and North Charleston area.
Jim’s broad interests included woodworking, gardening, and birdwatching. He maintained numerous friendships from the Navy and often could be found visiting friends in the Charleston area and further abroad. He will be missed by his regular Tuesday evening company at the Low Country chapter of the Fleet Reserve. In all his social circles, Jim was known for his personability and quick wit; he always was genuinely happy to go out of his way to help friends and family.
Jim is predeceased by his parents, older brother, William, and younger brother, Chuck and sister, Phyllis.
Jim is survived by brothers Bob and Jack, children Rick (m. Christine) and Michele (m. Jim), and grandchildren Sean, Allyson, and Riley.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 10:00 am at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation at 869 St James Ave, in Goose Creek, SC. Followed by burial service at noon at Plantation Memorial Gardens at 3345 S Live Oak Dr, in Moncks Corner, SC.

Thomas leaves behind his wife of 25 years Sherrie Garren Moorcroft, his 4 children Tori, Christian, Teagan and Monty Moorcroft, his mother Eileen Moorcroft, his sisters Maryellen Thompson, Kelly Holmes, Maureen Moorcroft, his brother Michael Moorcroft and a great number of nieces and nephews.
He is pre deceased by his father Michael Leigh Moorcroft, sisters Eileen Anderson and Kathleen Moorcroft and nephew Kevin Moorcroft.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 5pm-7pm.

Margaret was a member of Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle Church, and enjoyed, walking, singing in the choir, and serving on the Missionary Committee. Most of all, she loved her family.
Margaret is survived by her children, E.O. Duffie (Linda), Brenda Utheim, Sharon Truett, 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren and her sister, Barbara Bowers, of Dover, DE. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her son Thomas Wesley Duffie and sisters and brothers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 12:00 at Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle Church with a service to follow at 1:00, and burial to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Born on July 19, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lillian was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary McLain, and is survived by her children James Michael Queen (Carol), Karen Rosenlehner (Marcus) and Tina Queen and one grandson James Lawrence Queen. She was also sister to Frank, Richard, Daniel, Joseph, and John McLain.
Lillian was a registered nurse in Philadelphia for many years before retiring to South Carolina. She loved to work in the garden and was often seen walking her dogs around the neighborhood. She was dearly loved, and she will be greatly missed.
A memorial service and interment will take place at Saint Michaels Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, SC. Time and date for the service will be announced soon.

Marilyn was retired from the Steadman Law Office in Erie, PA, and served several years as President of the Girard School District School Board. She was known for her quick wit and strong-willed personality. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed genealogy.
Marilyn is survived by her four children, Chris MacKendrick (Sharon) of Lake City, PA; Randy MacKendrick of Saint Clairsville, OH; Mark Olay (Debbie) of Tehachapi, CA; and Merry Stokes (Dean) of Phoenix, AZ. She was a proud grandmother of four, Heather Harpst (Josh) of Willow Spring, NC; Tara Markham of Mount Pleasant, SC; Gray and Brenna MacKendrick of Summerville, SC; and several great-grandchildren. Marilyn is also survived by her sister, Marcie Rakieski of Ridgway, PA and one brother, Thomas King of Ridgway, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, James R. MacKendrick; her brother, Jack King of Pittsburg, PA; and two of her children, James “Jay” MacKendrick of Erie, PA and Marcelle E. Olay Halliday of Baltimore, MD.

Jeffrey W. Carpenter - March 22, 1960 - March 25, 2022

Obituary Preview: Jeffrey Wayne Carpenter of Goose Creek, SC, died March 25th, 2022. Jeff was born on March 22, 1960, in Covington, VA, to Leo and the late Joyce Tucker-Carpenter. He became Coast Guard Reserve when he was 17 years old. He went active duty on August 28, 1980 and retired as a Senior Chief with over 24 years of service.
He was a machine technician(MKSC). He worked a lot of different stations. including an isolation LORAN station in Alaska, The Atlantic Strike team which dealt with hazardous waste and oil clean up as well as a couple of CG patrol boats and CG Cutters .
His best duty station was 5 years in Hawaii where he and his family absorbed the culture there. They then were stationed in Charleston, SC where he retired from the CG Cutter Gallatin.
Jeff really enjoyed Saturday mornings at IHOP and then going to the shooting range with his friends. He was a friend and mentor to a lot of young people who looked to him to be a good listener and a father figure. Jeff is survived by his wife Jo Anne Worley-Carpenter of Goose Creek, SC; Daughter Ariel Carpenter of Goose Creek, SC; and his son Ian Carpenter of Pittsburgh, PA. Luther was born on October 8, 1948 to parents Luther Emerson Bates, Sr. and Margaret Louvina Bates, in McKinney, Texas.
Luther was always academically gifted, graduating as valedictorian from Lancaster High School in 1967. He entered the US Navy in 1970 attending Naval Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, Illinois, and Field Medical Service School in Camp Lejune, North Carolina, and graduating first in his class at both. Luther achieved the rank of Petty Officer Third Class and was honorably discharged following four years of service.
Following his service, Luther attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he studied History and Political Science, graduating in 1976 with a 4.0 GPA and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
Luther met the love of his life, Sylvia Borg, by accident on a Hawaiian cruise in 1984, and they were married the following year, on April 20, 1985. Their love for each other never waned over their 37 years of marriage.
Besides his wife, Luther is survived by son Bryan Bates, daughter Megan Bates and brother Leonard Bates.
The service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, March 25, at 11am.

Lewis, retired from the US Air Force serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retirement from the Air Force he worked for the Air Force Civil Service at the Charleston Air Force Base. He was in the American Legion and VFW Post 166. He enjoyed camping and fishing in the Low Country. He was a great family man. Lewis always had a good stash of candy readily available and he didn't like sharing it. He was an avid reader of non-fiction books and DIY books.
In addition to his wife Marie, Lewis is survived by three daughters Linda Coker (Keith) of Manning, SC, Brenda Howell (Tony) of Ladson, SC and Jayne Ackerman (Barry) of Jamestown, SC. Two sons, Steven Snow (Barbara) of Summerville, SC and Raymond Snow (Carolyn) of Pigeon Forge, TN. A sister, June Wilson of Jacksonville, FL. Lewis was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grand daughter.
In addition to his parents, Lewis is predeceased by a daughter Catherine Anderson.
There will be a graveside service held at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Old Hwy 52 Moncks Corner, SC at 2pm Friday, March 18th, 2022.

Ethan was proceeded in death by his Brother Austin Howell, Grandma Sandra, Papa Gus, Papa Jerry, and Uncle Eric.
In addition to his parents, Ethan is survived by his sisters and brothers. Brittnee (Keith) Hymer, Chris, Sarah, Connor, and Aubrey Howell. Nephew and Niece Wyatt & Willow Hymer. Grandparents, Papa Joe (Joseph J Howell), Nanny (Sharon Sankey), Pawpaw and Me Maw (Mike & Gail Sandlin). Uncles and Aunts Jason (Brittney) Howell, Jen Jen (Mike) May, Aunt Shell (Ryan) Widener. As well as a whole host of cousins and extend family.
The family will receive friends and family at their home on Friday 3/18/2022 at 2pm until Sunday 3/20/2022 at 12pm.

Sunny was a daughter of the late Chester Jackson and Jeanette Jackson. She met Gene at a young age and established their family by having three sons shortly thereafter. Sunny spent a majority of her early adult life traveling the world with Gene, who was in the Navy.
After settling in Charleston, Sunny and Gene served as foster parents to several troubled children in the area, one of whom, they adopted. Her family was the focal point of her life and would often praise the times she was able to see everyone together. Sunny was a very loving person who always wanted to make those around her laugh and smile. She enjoyed writing poetry, solving puzzles, and watching movies in her free time. Her sense of humor and personality were second to none, and she will forever be missed by her friends and family. She often said that she was excited to meet the “Good Lord” and to see Gene again. Now, she is at peace and finally able to do so.
Sunny is survived by her sons, Dale T. Smith of Ackworth, GA, Steven D. Smith, David C. Smith, and Nicholas D. Smith of Charleston, SC, and her brother, Thomas Burrington.

They loved making memories with their family and their children, especially during unforgettable summer days spent at the beach. He was also very active in fire brigade during his 25+ year career at Dupont/DAK Americas and made many close friends throughout the journey of his career. He touched the hearts and lives of all who knew and worked with him.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Kelly of Moncks Corner, SC; father, James Kelly Sr of Moncks Corner SC; son, Dan Edic of Washington D.C.; daughter, Michelle Decena of Summerville, SC; son, Jimmy Kelly of Greenville, SC; daughter, Amy George of Summerville, SC; and ten grandchildren, Tyler Haroldson, Elijah Decena, Ana Decena, Royce Kelly, Olivia Decena, Cooper Kelly, Mason Buffalari, Tanner George, Makenna George and Anna Edic.
The service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at McAlister-Smith in Goose Creek beginning at 11 am with visitation of family and friends, followed by a celebration of life service at 12 pm.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Deidre House (Luis) of Bonneau, SC; her stepson, Michael Cupp of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren: Chris Benton (Tiffany) of St. George, SC and Ashley Longsine (Rob) of Hanahan, SC; her step-grandchildren: Matthew House (Samantha) of Moncks Corner, SC; Brandon House (Allie) of Bonneau, SC and Hunter House of Moncks Corner, SC; eight great-grandchildren: Gracelynn and Emery Benton, Nash and Gage Hanneman, Ryverlynn House, Forrest and Evan House, and Ryland Lopez.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. The burial will be held in a private service at a later date.

Dedicated grandfather of 4. Steve’s siblings include Brian McDavitt and his wife Michelle of Portland, OR, John McDavitt and partner Christine Silver of Northbridge, MA, Tammy and her husband Rich Ward of Westfield, MA, Michelle McDavitt of Blackstone, MA, Karen Phillips of Foxsboro, MA, and the late Kevin McDavitt. Also, survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Steve had many accomplishments serving 21 years in the United States Marine Corps and continuing to provide contract services after retirement. He loved the outdoors, especially boating and fishing.
A gathering of Steve's family and friends will be from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, South Carolina 29445. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday. Steve's remains will be placed in a Niche at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina.

She enjoyed animals, spending much time with Pooh Bear, Roxy and Chloe her dogs. She also often made food for her friends who would visit to spend time with her.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Priscilla Bravo; her brothers, Kenneth and Darryl Blanton.
In addition to her husband, Rhyne, Cindy is survived by her sister, Barbara Franche of Charlotte, North Carolina; her brother, Clarence Blanton (deceased wife Cheryl) of Johnsonville, South Carolina; her sister in law, Tawnya Gaston-Scott (Jeff) of Goose Creek; her nephews, Neal Blanton (Jill), Chance Blanton (Niki), Christopher Franche (Christie), Tony Gaston; and her additional nieces and nephews; her dear friend and neighbor, Melissa Smith (Randy) of Moncks Corner, SC.
