He is preceded in death by his parents, Guston and Lorene Bussell, and brothers, Joe, Eddie and Lynn Bussell.
He is survived by his loving companion of over 20 years, Mary Knight; 4-legged babies, Samson, Delilah, Palo, Ellie Mae and Fiesty; brothers, Ken Buchanan, Henley (Gladys) Bussell, Paul (Gloria) Bussell, and Bob (Donna) Bussell; sisters, Dorothy (Ed) Rudd and Darlene (Randy) Gregg; sister-in-law, Rolena Bussell.
The family would like to give special thanks the Serenity House and Amedisys Hospice for their compassion and care.
A graveside service will be held at 2PM on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Danny Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 12PM until time for graveside at Mayes.

Mildred is the daughter of William Roy and Ruthie Mae Archer. She served as a member at Montvue Baptist Church and she worked two jobs at the Morristown Police Department and as a school crossing guard for more than 15 years.
She will be missed by her children; Mark Bailey of Sweetwater TN, Kathy Bailey (Mark) Leonard of South Mills NC, and William (Sherri) Bailey of Suffolk VA, she is known as “nana” to; Erica (Shawn) Prosser of VA Beach, Andy (Crystal) Reed of Moyock NC, Kaitlyn (Stephen) Rochelle of Suffolk VA, Michael Bailey and Brandon Bailey both of Suffolk VA, Great “Nana” to; Adian and Mason Prosser of VA Beach, Kate, Sara and Jaxson Reed of Moyock NC, Korra Rochelle of Sufforlk VA, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family wants to give special thanks to the staff of Heritage Nursing Home (unit 1), Therapy Department at Heritage, Dr. Michael Tan, Dr. Ramaprased, Dr. Mejia, and to Jessica Stines for loving and caring for her for many years.
The family will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Mayes Mortuary with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM with Rev. Leroy Davis officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at Jarnagin Cemetery following the service on Tuesday.

George Lee Tompkins - July 05, 1949 - November 24, 2021

Obituary Preview: George Lee Tompkins, 72, of Morristown, passed away November 24, 2021 following a three-year battle with cancer.  George was the youngest of three sons born to his late parents, G. D. and Dora Vinyard Tompkins.  After attending Witt Elementary School and Morristown High School, George enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served with distinction in Vietnam.  He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal with the Combat V for valor in battle.  After separating from the Marine Corps, George began a 45-plus year career in construction and remodeling, usually working alongside his brother Steve.
In addition to his parents, G.D. and Dora Tompkins, George was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen (Steve) Allen Tompkins, and Steve’s older son, Allen Tompkins.
George is survived by daughter Amy Saylor and her husband Darrell (usually called “Turtle”); son Talyion Tompkins; grandchildren Corbin Saylor, Ceagan Saylor, Coleman Tompkins, Conner Tompkins, Austin Tompkins, Sydney Tompkins; great grandson, Beckham Fanney; honorary grandchildren, Olivia, Kenley, and Zane Hatcher; brother Fred Tompkins; nieces Victoria Tompkins Whited, Jodi Tompkins Thompson, and Caroline Tompkins Miller, and nephew Erik Tompkins.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Mountain Home VA Healthcare System in Johnson City and the various VA-affiliated contractors for providing excellent medical and comfort care for George.

Mullins, daughter; Delores (Donnie) Crowe, grand-daughter; Vanessa (Jerry) Johnson, great-grandchildren; Tivon Arnold, Seanna Johnson, Abbigayle Johnson, and Annaleigh Johnson, sister; Loretta (Jeff) Dalton, brothers; Michael Dean Atkins, Larry Clevenger, and Rodger (BJ) Clevenger, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins who she loved unconditionally.

She was of Baptist faith and for many years joined her friends for worship at the Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She was one of nine children born April 12, 1939 to the family of Paul and Clydia Ellison.
She always worked and for many years and was employed by American Enka and later BASF. She retired and settled into more gardening of vegetables and flowers more canning and baking and some travel.
With her passing she leaves one brother, Wayne Ellison, several nieces and nephews, and her church family.
Cremation arrangements by Mayes mortuary.  A graveside service will take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Pastor David Williams officiating.

She was a great gift giver, and spent plenty of time finding just the right gift for her loved ones. She always made sure a musical card was included with her gifts. She had an ear for music and was especially talented when it came to the piano and clarinet when she was younger. Lindsey was an intelligent woman. She graduated from high school in England, and graduated from The University of Tennessee. She was an R.N., black belt, caregiver, and friend. Lindsey was a member at First United Methodist Church of Morristown.
Lindsey is preceded in death by her grandparents; Robert and Dorothy Carter and Douglas and Mary Jane Smith.
