Terri was born on August 12,1959 in Champaign, IL and was the daughter of Verlyn and Joan (Luoma) Wilke. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1978 and worked for Abby Bank before becoming the accounts payable and receivable secretary for Abbyland Trucking for over 30 years. Terri married Jeffrey Schaefer on August 19, 2001. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2002. She and Roger Calmes were married on December 30, 2011.

Terri’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Roger, and a compassionate, supportive, and loving mother and grandmother to all of her children and grandchildren. Her home was always filled with warmth, not just from her talent for baking, but from the genuine love and care she poured into every moment spent with those she loved.

Terri was an avid reader, spending many afternoons in the living room armchair with a Nicholas Sparks novel and one of her beloved pets on her lap. She often spoke about how the stories of love, resilience, and hope resonated deeply with her, and was a frequent patron of the local libraries, always looking for more stories like these to immerse herself in.

Terri’s compassion extended beyond her family and pets; she was a friend to everyone she met. Her infectious laughter, kind spirit, and unwavering positivity touched the lives of many. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved, always offering a listening ear and a big hug to whoever may need it.

Her legacy of love and kindness will live on through her family and friends, who will carry forward the values she held dear. Terri’s life, though too short, was a testament to the power of love, the joy of simple pleasures, and the importance of family.

Terri is survived by her husband, Roger Calmes; three children: Jeremiah (Sarah) Dumke of Bellevue, NE, Joan (Gary Jr.) Mann of Stetsonville, and Jessica (Joshua) Borst of Eau Claire; four step-children: Heather (Jeremy) Viegut of Stevens Point, Tana (Nathan) Cooper of St.George, UT, Jordan (Miranda) Calmes of Dorchester, and Logan (Terra) Calmes of Kronenwetter; thirteen grandchildren: Samantha Dumke, Harlee Slusser, Scott Slusser, Kaiden Mann, Roxi Mann, Jonah Borst, James Borst, Payton Viegut, Parker Viegut, McCoy Cooper, Rylee Cooper, Oaklee Cooper, and Brody Klieforth; and one great-grandchild: Jack Podeweltz. She is further survived by six siblings: Richard (Helen) Boening of Eau Claire, Mary Boening of Marshfield, Kate Boening of Sheboygan, Don (Kay) Boening of Owen, Roberta (John) Selesky of Sugar Land, TX, and Sue Berseth of Eau Claire; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law; many loved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends; and her faithful companions Trixie and Charlene.

She is now at peace, joining her parents, Joan & Verlyn; her husband, Jeffrey Schaefer; and her ex-husband Dennis Dumke in eternal rest.

Karen Kay Brown - October 11, 1951 - May 18, 2024

Obituary Preview: Karen Kay Brown, age 72, Unity, passed peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Colby Senior Care with support of St. Croix Hospice Services surrounded by her family.

Karen was born October 11, 1951, in Curtiss, the daughter of Alfred and Esther (Pudlas) Thompson. She graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1969, and went on to the UW-Stevens Point where she graduated with a degree in art. On May 29, 1976, she married Steve Brown at St. Paul Church in Curtiss, and in 1980, they moved to the house they built in rural Unity, where they raised their family.

Karen enjoyed sharing in the lives of her children, grandchildren and friends. Some pastimes she enjoyed were baking, gardening, reading, cross-stitch and of course, eating chocolate! She was very creative, spending many years painting crafts and perfecting the Scandinavian art of rosemaling. In 2019, she got to take the trip of a lifetime to Norway.

Karen loved children and worked at Zion Preschool in Colby for 5 years, Unity Elementary for 7 years, and Colby High School for 16 years, where she formed many lifelong friendships and kept the staff well fed with her homemade treats. She retired in 2017. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church ELCA in Unity, where she also served as an organist. She will be remembered for her endless kindness, generosity and patience.

Survivors include her husband, Steve of 48 years; children: Jeremy (Melissa Ploeckelman) Brown of Colby, Erik (Gina) Brown of Hixton and Kati (Eric) Schoelzel of Colby; grandchildren: Ryder, Kenley, Hayden, Tylan, Eastyn and Colby Brown, Braylon, Myla and Evy Schoelzel; brother, Dale (Arla) Thompson of Monroe, brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom (Sue) Brown of Hartford, Jeff (Cheryl) Brown of St. Cloud, MN, Mary Beth (David) Erfert of Houston, TX, Larry Brown of Wausau, Donna Brown of St. Paul, MN, Pat (Jodi) Brown of West Bend, Carol (John) Staab of Dorchester, Barb (Tom) Ritzinger of Rice Lake, Rob (Maggie) Brown of Marshfield and many nieces and nephews.

Vicki was born on January 26, 1958, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Rex Rodney Penney and Lydia Francis Penney (Perzynski). Vicki worked for the Outreach at Clark County Care Center where she took great pride in helping folding clothes and shredding papers. Vicki enjoyed playing card games such as War and Go Fish, and Duck Duck Goose with friends and family. Additionally, Vicki loved riding bike, doing puzzles, animals, the color pink and singing Christmas Carols. She was a huge fan of holidays, especially Christmas, Easter, and her birthday. She was skilled at knowing her numbers and colors, the original phone number of the farm, and loved money in any denomination. When she was happy she had the most hearty and contagious laugh! Vicki also loved and was enthralled with children, and they were with her.

Vicki is survived by her seven siblings: Darrell Joe (Ann) Penney of Baraboo, Connie (David) Frahm of Edgar, Jerald Goen-Penney of Medford, Rodney (Kelly) Penney of Curtis, Lynne Penney-Witmer of Newberg, OR and Scott ( Michael) Penney-Hommel of Madison ; many nieces and nephews and her caregivers, Patty and Jim Briski and staff. Patty and Jim Briski took such excellent care of Vicki which showed in the way Vicki loved her home there and she even called Patty “Mom”.

Vicki is preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Michael Goen-Penney.

Joyce is survived by her three children: Wayne Vahl of Stratford, Gary Vahl of Indiana and Joy (Neil) Blume of Dorchester; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her five siblings: Virgie, Linda, Jackie, Jerry and Johnny; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kimberly worked at Black River Industries and was an in-home healthcare provider. She loved her animals, especially her donkeys. Kimberly also loved four-wheeling, especially with her friends and neighbors, gardening, tending to her flower beds, watching and feeding the birds and sitting around the campfire. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family and friends.

Kimberly is survived by her husband of 39 years, Galen; her daughter and partner, Mallory Neuenfeldt (Shawna Doering) of Green Bay; her mother, Marcia Tomczyk (John Polzin) of Medford; her father-in-law, Larry L. Neuenfeldt of Dorchester; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father; her infant  brother,  Kenneth and mother-in-law, Arlene Neuenfeldt.

She enjoyed playing games, especially Uno and Memory, coloring books, puzzles, watching Star Wars and food.

Sandy is survived by her sister, Susan M. Zager, of Mosinee: her niece, Erica K. (Terry) Peissig of Owen and two nephews: Anton and Alex Peissig; other relatives and friends.

Jeff was born May 26, 1955, the son of Robert and Betty Lou (Oehler) Mueller in Marshfield. He graduated from Abbotsford High School. On August 6, 1983, Jeff was united in marriage to Lori Krueger at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

Jeff owned and operated Abbotsford Appliance becoming the 2nd generation. He loved going up to the northwoods in Hayward and Clam Lake. Jeff enjoyed hunting, riding his UTV, playing pickleball and basketball. He also enjoyed going to the Medo’s and having coffee with the guys. Most importantly, he loved and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lori; his three children: Megan Doffing of Abbotsford, Brandon (Ashley) of Medford and Jacob (Kelly) of Wausau; eight grandchildren; two brothers: Wesley (Anita) Mueller of North Aurora, IL and Rusty (Darla) Mueller of Medford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Debra was born on December 10, 1952, the daughter of LaMoine and Margaret (Anderson) Jacobson in Stanley. She graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1971. On June 16, 1983, Debra was united in marriage to Arthur “Skip” Klabon at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. She worked in the banking industry for many years.

Debra loved her community and was a very giving woman. She volunteered with the CUP Food Pantry, “Sleep in Heavenly Peace”, so no child sleeps on the floor in our town, making meals for shut-ins, the elderly and anyone in need. Debra also volunteered for 20 years at the Highground, either making meals for retreats, veterans organizations and fundraising. She was also active at St. Paul’s Lutheran. Debra was always very giving and would give the coat off of Skip’s back. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Debra is survived by her husband of 40 years, Skip; four sons: Matthew (Lucy) Klabon of Indianapolis, IN, Chad (Dawn) Klabon of Owen, Josh (Kathy) Nichols of VA and Brett Nichols of CO; three grandchildren: Abigail, Jackson and Emmalin Nichols. She is further survived by her three siblings: Judith Rau-Jacobson of Sussex, Richard (Dae) Jacobson of Stanley and Karen (Gerald) Mundt of Pittsville; a brother-in-law, Duane (Sharon) Klabon of Stevens Point and a sister-in-law, Laurel (Andrew) Halstead of IN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Phyllis was born on November 29, 1935, the daughter of Henry and Rose (Scheddler) Moede in Marshfield. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1953. On June 18, 1960, Phyllis was united in marriage to Joseph Retzer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. She worked at Roddis Door and Weinbrenner Shoes in Marshfield before her marriage. Phyllis and Joe owned and operated Retzer Oil in Marshfield for many years.

Phyllis was a loving wife, mom, grandma and friend. She was a strong Christian and loved Jesus. Phyllis enjoyed feeding the birds, tending her flowers and garden. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joe; four children: Joseph (Esther) Retzer, Jr. of Brooklyn Park, MN, Steve Retzer of VA, Kathy Johnson of Eau Claire and Judy (Jeff) Anderson of Altoona; 12 grandchildren: Faith (Tom) Holmberg, Lauren Retzer, Chris Retzer, David Retzer, Kaitie Retzer (fiancé, Jordan Blair), Christyna (Chaz) Mueller, Katie (Alex) Ridings, Kase (Phaedra) McDougall, Callie Johnson, Chris (Mary) Anderson, Derek (Abby) Anderson and Kaleb (Rebecca) Anderson; five great-grandchildren: Dylan Mueller, Lydia Mueller, Aleko McDougall, Carsen Anderson and Jentry Anderson. Cecelia was born on May 14, 1929, the daughter of Albert and Sadie (Speck) Hackel in the Town of Holton. She graduated from Abbotsford High School as the Salutatorian. On June 5, 1948, Cecelia was united in marriage to Benno Venzke. He preceded her in death in May of 2002. They farmed in the Town of Holton from 1948-1985 and raised ten children.

Cecelia was an active member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and was an Eucharistic Minister for 25 years. She volunteered at the Abbotsford Nursing Home. Cecelia had a craft business, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, cross country skiing and had a love of nature. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family and left a loving legacy.

Cecelia is survived by her nine children: David (Judy) of Athens, Allan (Susan) of Athens, Dennis of Abbotsford, Karen (Doug) Repking of Stratford, Sharon (Arnie) Riese of Medford, Mary Ann (Randy) Stange of Owen, Larry (Rhonda) of Athens, BJ (Julie) of Athens and Patrick (Lynn) of Dorchester; 32 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren. Peggy was born December 13, 1960, the daughter of Fred and Cecelia (Koplitz) Schindler, Sr. in Marshfield. She graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1979. Peggy was married to Richard Rau for 35 years. Together they farmed in the Town of Mayville.

Peggy was a passionate farmer and was a leader in calf raising and husbandry. She also led educational workshops and organized tours to promote the dairy industry. Peggy was also very generous of her time and money as she donated to various community organizations and people in need. When her Dorchester community needed first responders, she was the first to volunteer. She was a member of both St. Louis and St. Bernard Catholic Churches, member of the Busy Homemakers, and a leader in the Liberty 4-H Club. Peggy enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling. She especially loved baking and sharing with the community and people around her. Peggy loved and cherished being with her family.

Peggy is survived by her four children: Zak (Tony Meyer) Rau of Medford, Stephanie (Eric) Karr of Eau Claire, Rebecca Rau of Vancouver, WA and Zayne (Jess) Rau of Medford; six grandchildren: Savannah, Isla, Bennett, Chet, Colt and Amilyah. She is further survived by her seven siblings: Patricia (Greg) Krause of Prentice, Marie (Ted) Hoffman of Lake Mills, Fred (Linda) Schindler of Curtiss, Jayne (Julian) Jannene of Colby, Leonard (Diane) Schindler of Colby, Tim (Lisa) Schindler of Curtiss and Tom (Robyn) Schindler of Marshfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The honor of pallbearers belongs to Brad Leader, Stephan Klopotowski, Lukas Decker, Garrison Kirker, Nathanial Schwantes, Robert Tillou, Darren Smazal and Brett-Aaron Keen.

Clara was born on October 15, 1940, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Ress) Smazal in Fenwood. She grew up on a farm in rural Abbotsford and was one of 18 children. Clara was united in marriage to Larry Schwantes on December 5, 1961. He preceded her in death in January of 1999. She worked at Kolbe and Kolbe for 25 years, retiring in 2013.

Clara enjoyed crocheting, gardening, baking and cooking. She made the best chocolate chip cookies, enjoyed her coffee, strawberry milkshakes and chicken tenders. Clara had a huge collection of churb angels. She will be best remembered for hosting the best family Christmas parties. Clara was especially fond of her cats, Bandit and Noodle. Most importantly, Clara loved and cherished her family.

Clara is survived by her four children: Virgil Smazal of Wausau, Darrell (Barb) Smazal of Wausau, Wendy (Brian) Socha of Colby and Vicki (James) Weber of Wausau; eleven grandchildren: Jessica Pike, Darren (Christine) Smazal, Robert Tillou, Ashley (Bradley) Leader, Amanda Oleson (Austin Schneider), Sarah (Stephan) Klopotowski, Samantha (Brett-Aaron) Keen, Jennifer (Lukas) Decker, Elizabeth Weber, Nathanial Schwantes and Courtney (fiancé, Garrison Kirker) Socha; 16 great-grandchildren: Mary, Jared, Jaxon, Lydia, Temperance, Emmitt, Brian, John, Arlo, Gavin, Jameson, Adalyn, Myles, Charles, Skylar and Tate and baby Clara expected in June; one great-great-grandson, Layton. She is further survived by her siblings: Kenneth (Judy) Smazal of Abbotsford, Beverly Galowski of Medford, Jeanette Smazal of Wausau and Marlene Galowski of Omro; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Obituary Preview: Richard “Dick” Edward Hunsader, age 89, a long-time resident of Dorchester, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Born on December 26, 1934, Richard graduated from Algoma High School in 1952. He ran the Rankin Cheese Factory and served in the U.S. Army Reserve before marrying Joan Blahnik on May 12, 1959They ran the Cloverdale Cheese Factory from 1960 through 1972 before moving to Dorchester. Dick worked for the U.S. postal service and served as the postmaster in Stetsonville from 1986 to 2000.

Dick believed in community service and was active in the Lions Club for many years, where he was honored as a Melvin Jones Fellow. He also served as president for the village of Dorchester and enjoyed working in many roles and projects for Dorchester Days and the Dorchester Park.

Dick is survived by children: Steven (Julie) Hunsader and Mark (Meg) Hunsader; four grandchildren: Caskey, Erin (Ross) Witucki, Jude and Evan; two great-grandchildren: Lily and Joe, and his brother David.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife Joan; parents Edward and Ruth (Cepek); his brother Ken and sister Diane.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. On July 14, 1973, Lynn was united in marriage to Frank Schreiber at First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. She worked for Erickson Drywall and for Decorator Industries.

Lynn’s faith was important to her and she became a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church on March 8, 2024. Lynn loved and cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She would never miss her grandchildren’s activities. Lynn would decorate cakes for any special occasion. She also adored her dog, Chance.

Lynn is survived by her husband Frank of 50 years; two sons: John (April) of Milan and Nathan (Mandi) of Abbotsford; four grandchildren: Payton, Parker, Ella and Maiya. She is further survived by three siblings: Curtiss (Sandy) Erickson of Dorchester, Connie Schmitt of Independence and Bruce (Paula) Erickson of Milan; seven brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rodney Schreiber of Mosinee, Galen (Marlene) Schreiber of Athens, Marilyn Klemetson of Athens, Debbie Schreiber of Abbotsford, Diane (Jamie) Schaefer of Wausau, Donna (Steve) Proft of Abbotsford and Lori Schreiber of Willard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He especially loved going to gun shows all over the Midwest and attending the Iola car show. He had a passion for building anything on two or four wheels and constructing anything his imagination would allow. Jesse loved and cherished his family, especially his children and his granddaughter, Abby, who is his pride and joy.

On August 4, 1972, Sandy was united in marriage to Jerry Veirgutz in Burnips, MI. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2008. Together they loved to travel, including Ireland. They also spent their retirement managing campgrounds in Louisiana, Florida and WI. She enjoyed bowling, shopping and loved to watch football and basketball, especially Michigan. Most importantly, Sandy loved to spend time with her family.

Sandy is survived by her two sisters: Shirley (Doug) Greiffendorf and Betty Collick; four step-children: Brian, Lynn, Craig and Lisa; two great-grandsons that she adored, Colson and Callen Zimmerman; other relatives and friends.

Tom was born on January 24, 1948, the son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Weiler) Lotter in the Township of Bern, Marathon County. He attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Athens High School. Tom served in the U S Army from 1968-1970 in Viet Nam and was awarded three Purple Hearts and the Army Commendation Medal. On June 12, 1971, he was united in marriage to Ruth Rouse in Platteville.

Tom was a skilled carpenter and had his own Carpentry Business, Lotter Building Service in Milan. He built 39 homes, including one each for his daughter and son. Tom was a member of St. Thomas where he served on the parish council and was an usher. He was a member of the VFW, DAV Rib River Chapter 31, and the VVA North Central Chapter 479.

Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing sheepshead. He was constantly helping his neighbors and friends. Tom was especially proud of his children and grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth; three children: Jeffery (Trudy) Lotter of Weston, Jennifer (Cory) Pagel of Ringle and Victoria (Ken) Rutschow of Spencer; four grandchildren: Madison and Brianna Pagel of Ringle and Abigail and Braxton Rutschow of Spencer. He is further survived by a sister, Kathleen “Kutz” Murkowski of Wausau and a brother, John Lotter of Athens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Andrew Jr., Victor and Joseph and a sister, Betty Collins; and a son-in-law, Russell Sliwicki.

Barb was very social and selfless with a big heart. She always helped everyone else before herself. Barb liked puzzles, word finds, crafts and going to the casino. She especially loved and cherished her family and friends, especially her sister, Sharon. Barb will be missed by all who knew her.

Obituary Preview: Marvin “Marv” L. Broeske, age 85, of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Mayo Health Clinic Systems in Eau Claire.

Marvin was born on June 24, 1938, the son of Elroy and Emma (Behring) Broeske in Dorchester. He graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1956 and attended UW Eau Claire where he played basketball for the Blugolds. Marvin was a member of the Army National Guard for 11 years and was called to service during the Berlin Crisis. On January 26, 1961, Marv was united in marriage to Kay Bobbe in Medford. They raised their family in Abbotsford. Marv worked at gas stations in Colby before working 25 years as Office Manager at Kraft Foods in Milan. He then managed the Cenex Convenience Store in Dorchester for many years.

Marv was a huge sports fan and officiated basketball and volleyball at all levels for over 60 years. He truly cherished all his officiating partners but had special memories officiating with Kenny Christensen, Chad Austin, and Al Braun. Marv was also highly active playing and organizing adult basketball teams and leagues in and around Abbotsford for many years. He also played on several adult softball teams that played in leagues throughout the area. Marv traveled to tournaments across the state playing in tournaments well into his 50’s. He told wonderful stories of all the special plays and games from all the sports he enjoyed playing. He loved the life-long friendships that he made during all those years of playing sports. He was always in the mood for stopping somewhere on his way home from playing or officiating for a cold one or two and was even known to have won quite a few beer drinking trophies with all his softball buddies! He also liked to keep everything in his life highly organized and tidy, from his lawn to his dining room hutch, to his car, and even his garage was neat and tidy. He was a meticulous bookkeeper and took immense pride in doing things right the first time. Marv enjoyed going up to the cottage on Sacketts Lake to relax with his family. Marv was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby and is a past member of the Abbotsford Jaycees.

Marv is survived by his wife of 62 years Kay; four children Jill (Steve) Weiler of Marshfield, Patrick (Nellie) Broeske of Brownsville, Robyn (Paul) Schueller of Stratford, and Allyson Broeske of Abbotsford; nine grandchildren: Jena (Ryan) Moertel, Hailey Weiler (fiancé Nick Bolen), Trent Weiler, Bennett Broeske, Alivia Broeske, Jacob Broeske, Kamryn Schueller, Braeden Schueller, Kalyn Schueller, and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Moertel. He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lester (Marlene) Bobbe, Linda Boxrucker and Larry Bobbe; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Betty Jean was born July 30, 1929 to Elsie (Karsten) and Franklin Kraut. Born at just 3 pounds, the size of a cigar box not expected to live, her Mother and Grandmother cared and nursed her to health. Betty grew to be quite a survivor.

As a young girl Betty Jean lived in Curtiss, WI above the Deer View Tavern with Grandparents, parents, and aunts. Franklin and Elsie moved to Medford, WI where Betty went to grade school. The war broke out and the family moved to a farm near Curtiss WI, where Betty Jean attended High School, graduating in 1947. Betty Jean continued her education at Teacher College in Medford, WI. After completing her training she taught in a one room school house where she had to carry water and tend a fire to stay warm.

September 29, 1951, Betty Jean married Ernest C. Boss of Abbotsford. They made their home on a farm just outside Abbotsford where they worked side by side and raised their four children. Betty Jean stayed on the farm until November 2021. Betty took a job at DHIA in Colby in 1979 where she retired from.

Betty Jean has been a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. She loved her petunias in the summer, enjoyed sewing, reading and baking the perfect batch of bread.

Betty Jean is survived by her children: Susan (Harley) Timmerman of Hudson, WI, Sandra (Dan) Petersen of Cross Plains, WI, Donald Boss of Abbotsford, Jean Ann (Matt) Lampi of Owen, WI. Her grandchildren: Tyler (Valerie) Petersen of Burlington, WI, Quinten (Megan) Petersen of Wauwatosa, WI, Courtney (Lucas) Keller of Waukesha, WI, Ryan Lampi of Owen, WI, and five great-Grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Bunee (Kraut) Schultz of Rice Lake, WI.

Betty was preceded in death by husband, Ernest in November of 1979; her parents; her sister, Beverley Kraut in 2021 and many other loved ones young and old.

Funeral service will be held in honor of Betty Jean at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford on Monday, February 19, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00. The Reverend Donald Bruce will officiate. A luncheon will be served at the church after interment, all are welcome.

Memorials given in Betty’s name will go to Christ Lutheran Church.
