Richard was born in Middletown, Pennsylvania on February 11, 1937, to the late Pearl (Espenshade) & Frank Wagner.
In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by the love of his life, Betty (Thomas) Wagner whom he married in Elizabethtown, PA on February 11, 1982., his siblings, Frank Wagner, Jr., Ronald Wagner, Ruth Campbell, Jane Wagner, Betty Brown, Pat Baum, his nieces and nephews Wendy Lyons, Robert Campbell, Jay Campbell and Sally Vorodi.
Richard is survived by his nieces and nephews; Karen (John) Charles, Cheryl (Brian) Edgcomb, Mike (Mary Ellen) Baum, Donna (Phil) DiDonato, Jack (Linda) Brown, Linda (Mike) McKinne, Sue Dupes, Greg (Lynne) Campbell, Gwynne (Konrad) Maiwald, Judy Middleton, Tim and Chris Wagner.
Richard was Christian by faith and often attended the Open-Door Bible Church in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Richard was in the United States Navy for 4 years and was on board the U.S.S. Forrestal, an aircraft carrier. Following the navy, Richard was an Electrician for 31 years at Armstrong World Industries. A fond memory of Richards was working at the Milk Bar on Union Street in his younger years as well as his four-legged best friend, Sammy his pet Dachshund. Richard was also an avid woodworker.
A visitation will be held for Richard on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA, 17057 from 10 A.M. until the time of service.

Mary Anne was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1943, the daughter of late Mae (Scott) and John F. Loehle.
In addition to her parents, Mary Anne is preceded in death by her siblings John “Skip” Loehle, Joseph Loehle, Helen Townsend, Frank Loehle, Margaret Conner, and three grandchildren Michael Drury, Patrick Drury, and Mason Guckavan.
Mary Anne is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Anthony R. Drury whom she married in Abington, Pennsylvania at The Our Lady Help of Christians on October 23, 1965. Mary Anne is also survived by her loving children, Michael (Sheri) Drury of Lititz, PA, Barbra Guckavan of Middletown, PA, Patricia (Steve) Crawford of Collegeville, PA, John (Eileen) Drury of Estero, Florida, her grandchildren Jessica Drury of West Grove, PA, Mary Kate Drury of Hoboken, New Jersey, Jack Drury of New York City, Ian Guckavan of Keiser, West Virginia, Mia Crawford of Manayunk, PA, Jake Crawford of Collegeville, PA, Kiera Guckavan of Middletown, PA, Gavin Guckavan of Middletown, PA, Sean Crawford of Collegeville, PA and one great grandson Maxwell Drury of Lancaster, PA.
Mary Anne was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Lewes, Delaware. Mary Anne loved spending time with her family and grandchildren as well as traveling and ocean cruises. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading. Mary Anne loved gardening and loved visiting the lakes in Maine. She was the member of the church choir for years and enjoyed music and singing.
A Visitation will be held at Seven Sorrows Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 280 North Race Street, Middletown, PA, 17057 on March 27, 2024 from 10 A.M. until the time of Mass.
A Mass will be held for Mary Anne directly following the visitation on March 27, 2024 at Seven Sorrows Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at 11 A.M. with Father Tim Sahd.
Burial will take place at a later date privately with the family.

Laura was born on March 1,1967 to Suzanne M. (Taylor) and J. Frank Epler, Middletown. In addition to her parents, Laura is survived by two sons, Benjamin R. Spangenberg, and Lucas J. Spangenberg, of Hummelstown. She is also survived by sister, Christine (Kenneth) Horting of Elizabethtown; brother, David (Krista) Epler of Greensburg; nieces Erin Horting and Anne Horting; nephews Thomas Epler and John Epler; many cherished family members, friends, and her beloved cat Charlie.
Laura was a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, Lock Haven University, and Shippensburg University where she received a master’s degree. She was a member of Geyers United Methodist Church, Middletown, and locally attended Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown.
“Woo”, as many friends fondly called her, was a big advocate in her community and supported various events throughout her lifetime. She was a supporter of the Londonderry Troop 97 Boy Scouts, where both sons achieved Eagle Scout rankings. She also supported the Lower Dauphin Football and Band boosters over the years. Laura was very proud of her sons and involved in everything they did.
Laura’s dedication, passion, and hard work ethic was pivotal in her more than 25 years as a pre-school Inclusion Consultant with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. She loved her work and the children she assisted.
Laura’s infectious spirit, laughter, and smile were a central theme in her daily life. This was evident in all that she did and with everyone she interacted. Laura will be dearly missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held at Grace United Methodist Church, 433 E. Main St., Hummelstown, PA, on Saturday, May 11. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 11 am.

She is survived by her loving children, Louis Pavone (Judith), Nicole Rottner, and Derek Bressi; seven grandchildren, Gabriela Pavone, Kalub Bressi, Louis N. Pavone, Brayden Pavone, Tatum Fetters, Aurora Rottner and Blakely Rottner; a great-grandchild, Leonardo Pavone; two brothers, Jay Fesler and Jeff Fesler as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.

Holly is survived by her loving children; Jonah C.R. (Janelle) Hughes of Newville, PA, Jordina (Ethan) Yoder of Gardners, PA., a brother, William (Dawn) Mattes of Harrisburg, PA., and Aunt & Best Friend in Lord, Sharen Beil of Middletown, PA.
Holly was a dedicated Christian by faith, and she loved her family and spending time with her children more than anything in life. Holly loved her job as a Lunchroom monitor for many years at Reid Elementary School.
A memorial service will be held for Holly at a later date with the family.

Obituary Preview: Barry W. Goodling, Sr., 82, of Middletown, departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024 to be reunited with his wife, Margo L. (Waltermyer) Goodling.
Barry was born on January 19, 1942 in Royalton and was the son of the late Alton R. and Helen M. (Kohr) Goodling.
Barry was a graduate of Middletown High School and retired from AMES/True Temper with over 48 years of service. He was a member of Middletown Anglers & Hunters, Rescue Fireman’s Home Association, Hummelstown Field & Stream and the NRA. Barry thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending an abundance of time at the family cabin in Potter County. His love for hunting took him to several different places including Montana, Colorado, Canada, and Africa. When he wasn’t spending time at the cabin he enjoyed the company of his family, especially his great grandchildren and talking about hunting to anyone who would listen.
In addition to his wife and parents, Barry was preceded in death by his son, Barry W. Goodling, Jr., and his brothers, Donald and Marlin Goodling.
He is survived by his sons, Michael T. Goodling and wife, Melissa; Gary L. Goodling and wife, Karen; his daughter Kim R. Vulatic and husband, Michael; his grandchildren Megan Vulatic (Cory Smith), Seth Vulatic (Becca), Joshua Goodling (Kristin), Brandon Goodling, Stephanie Grosko (Justin), and Tyler Goodling; his great grandchildren, Lilian Smith, Caleigh Smith, Isla Goodling, Clara Goodling, Thea Goodling, and Gavin Grosko; his three siblings, Rochelle Still, Sandra Snook (Barry), and Alton “June” Goodling (Shannon); his sisters-in-law, Judy Goodling (wife of the late Donald Goodling) and Donna Goodling (wife of the late Marlin Goodling), and a daughter-in-law Mary Goodling (wife of the late Barry Jr.) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the Middletown Anglers & Hunters, 1350 Schoolhouse Road, Middletown, PA at 12:00 pm with a social luncheon immediately following a short service.
A private burial will be held at the Middletown Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Obituary Preview: Leroy A. Jackson Jr., affectionately known as “Pop” was born on Tuesday, October 3, 1950, in Harrisburg PA. Son of the late Leroy Sr. and Betty Jackson.
Leroy attended William Penn Vo-Tech High School. He later joined Pinnacle Health Systems where he later retired after 25+ years. Among Leroy’s favorite pastimes he enjoyed going fishing by himself and with friends and family at the Susquehanna river. He also loved watching his favorite football team, The Indianapolis Colts, listening to old school music, and watching the discovery channel. Leroy was a very humble and laid-back kind of man, whom everyone loved that came in contact with him throughout his life.
On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 73 years of age, Leory A. Jackson Jr., transitioned from this life into eternal life. Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert, Kenneth and Lammie B. Jackson, his sister, Cathrine Jackson and his favorite cousin James “Jim” Black all of Harrisburg.
Leroy leaves loving memories and his love to his wife of 37 years, Donna Marie Jackson; his sons, Leroy A. III and Brent Jackson; his daughters, Melina Jackson, Geisha Jackson, and Ronitta Chislom; 9 grandchildren, and one great grandson; brothers, Stewart and Preston Jackson; sisters, Theresa Smith and Barbara Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews.

Herbert P. Henderson - March 23, 1933 - March 03, 2024

Obituary Preview: Dr. Herbert P. Henderson, 90, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Masonic Villages, Elizabethtown, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 23, 1933, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and was the son of the late John P. and Myrtle L. (Wadleigh) Henderson.
Herb was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War and later was commissioned as an officer in the US Army Reserves where he retired as a Colonel and Commander of the 316th Station Hospital in Harrisburg. He was a 1951 graduate of Middletown High School, attended Elizabethtown College, and graduated from Temple University’s School of Dentistry in 1962, where he served as president of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. “Doc,” as many people called him, practiced dentistry for 50 years, and saddened many patients upon his retirement. His work ethic was unmatched.
Herb was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church where he enjoyed helping in various capacities, especially as a lector and Eucharistic Minister for many years. He was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a former president of the Middletown Rotary Club, and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, being a pilot, working with stained glass, meticulous lawncare, and loved Notre Dame Football. And he loved his wine, with ice. But above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family as a husband, father, and amazing Pop Pop. His laugh was boisterous, and his smile infectious. Herb’s sense of humor was shared with everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his son, Herbert P. Henderson II, “Hesh” and his Uncle Jack Davis, who raised him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Audra (Pehowic) Henderson; three children, Julie A. Henderson and her husband, Tom Willis, Kellie A. Henderson, and Mark P. Henderson and his wife Nicole; six grandchildren, Aarron P. Henderson (Joey Ribecchi), Alaina P. Lawrence (Mykael), Nikelle E. Henderson, William D. Doremus, Davis P. Henderson, and Jude P. Henderson; and a great-grand daughter, Palmer S. Lawrence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown, on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11:30 AM with the Rev. Fr. Timothy Sahd as celebrant. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at Seven Sorrows.
Burial with Military Honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville PA. Hilda is survived by her loving daughters, Karen (Mike) Fritz of Milton, Delaware, Michele (Doug) Lutz of Middletown, PA, a brother George (Gloria) Laukemann of Alabama, her grandchildren Heidi (Dennis) Sheaffer of Newville, Heather Fritz of Carlisle, Cody (Erin) Lutz of Dillsburg, her great grandchildren Logan and Arlene Deardorff of East Berlin.
Hilda was Protestant by faith and was a member of The Middletown First Chruch of God. Hilda thoroughly enjoyed her class reunions and family get-togethers. Hilda had a love for decorating and gardening, as well as traveling and entertaining. Hilda and her husband, owned and operated the former C. Curtis Hughes Flower Shop in Middletown for over 27 years.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Middletown First Church of God, 245 W High St, Middletown, PA 17057 from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Middletown First Church of God with Pastor Kimberly Shifler at 11:00 AM. A Burial will immediately follow the Funeral Service at Middletown Cemetery, 675 N Spring St, Middletown, PA 17057

She is also survived by her daughters, Diana (Gary) Welsh of Elizabethtown, PA, Paula (Lee McIlvaine) Steere of Hummelstown, PA, a brother, Joseph Helminski of Martinez, Georgia; son-in-law Steve Pakosh of Hummelstown, her grandchildren, David Pakosh of Philadelphia, Jessica (Jaron) Eckhart of Hummelstown, Heather (Greg) Spotts of Elizabethtown, Nadine Welsh of Elizabethtown, and a great grandson, Greyson Spotts, of Elizabethtown.
Gerry was Catholic by faith and a member of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Middletown. She enjoyed spending time in her herb garden and cooking wonderful meals, including Polish recipes from her mother.

Don was a retired steel worker from the former Bethlehem Steel. He was an athlete in school playing baseball, basketball and football for Middletown High School. Don enjoyed following and watching all kinds of sports. He loved collecting and selling antiques as a hobby, which grow to quite a large collection before he sold most of them a few years ago by public auction.
Don is survived by his wife; his daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Joe Bologna; his granddaughter, Giavanna Bologna and his five brothers, Richard Conway (Elaine), Garry Conway, Ronald Conway (Theresa), Kip Conway (Janelle) and Denne Conway (Tonya).
Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 6, 2024 in the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. A visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM, Saturday in the funeral home.

Bill was a machine operator for Pratt & Whitney. He was an avid fisherman and also loved the beach and surf fishing. Bill’s greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his dog Cally. Bill was an amazing father with a heart of gold.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Christina Kottmyer and her fiancé, Jarred Bridges, his son, William C. Kottmyer, Jr., his brothers, Charles Kottmyer and Freedman Kottmyer (Barb) and his sister, Darlene Keeley (Pat). Bill also leaves behind a very special mother-in-law, Theresa and many beloved nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-laws, friends, neighbors and coworkers.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Susan, his daughter, Katie Kottmyer, his brothers, Frederick Kottmyer, Jr. and George Kottmyer and sister, Betty Messersmith.

Marion was born and raised in the Catholic religion. She was an avid bowler and a former PA State Champion Bowler. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, reading and doing Adult Coloring Books.
In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband Charles Graham Sr.; a brother Harold “Jackie” Eck Jr.; a sister, Louise Abbitt and a step-son, Charles Graham Jr.
She is survived by her two sons, David Graham and James Graham; two step-children, Dennis Graham (Kimberly) and Lori Conant (Chris); three grandchildren, Shiann Graham, Colin Graham and Caleb Shertzer.
A tribute to her life will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown with the Rev. Britt Strohecker officiating. Viewing will be from 5:00 PM until the time of services, Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:30 AM.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her son Seth Jerome and a brother Gerald Richardson Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 54 years, Larry Jerome; a daughter, JoElla L, Jerome; a son Darius “DJ” A. Jerome and his wife Teresea, a daughter-in-law, Andrea Jerome; three siblings, Frances A Rhodenizer, Kenneth R. Richardson and his wife Gail and Patricia R. Givler, and her husband Harvey; seven grandchildren, Kai Jerome, Kayleigh Jerome, Kaydin Jerome, Samantha Zeiders, Katelynn Jerome, Ashley Jerome and Jenna Jerome as well as one great-grand daughter, Leah Meise.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 890 Ebenezer Rd., Middletown PA, 17057, with Pastor Brad Gilbert officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of services at the church.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Tranum of Virginia, Michael (Melissa) D’Auria of Elizabethtown, Katharina Valerio of York, PA, Matthew Chambers of Ft. Worth, TX, Zachary Chambers of Ft. Worth, TX, Addalyn Williams of Elizabethtown, PA, 2 great grandchildren, her step-children, Joseph D. (Cora) Miles Jr., of Mansfield, PA, Julie M. (Kevin) Welch of Marrion, OH, 8 step-grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren.
Gail was protestant by faith and attended Brethren in Christ Church of Elizabethtown. Gail enjoyed crocheting, was an excellent cook and loved cooking for her family and grandchildren. Gail loved her mini dachshunds and enjoyed all animals. Gail was the owner operator of a pet sitting company called Critter Care and drove trucks as a team with Joe for many years.
A service for Gail will be held privately with the family later.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Shemory; five children, Tammy Logan and her husband Peter, Timothy Shemory and his wife Lyra, Joseph Shemory, Sheree Ulsamer and her husband Dave, and Lori Berry and her husband Ken; a sister, Beverly Rinehart and her husband Russ; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

(April) Martz of Kernersville, NC, Rebecca E. (Bryan) Hoover of Chambersburg, PA, Amber McConlogue of Florida, Adam McConlogue of Michigan, her great grandchildren, Isabella Lamb, Louisa Lamb, Judah Lamb, Brylee Hoover, Merrin Martz, Bailey Hoover, Kellan Martz, and Baby Martz.
Barbara is Christian by faith and enjoyed attending a non-denominational Bible church. Barbara graduated from Wilkes College with an associates degree in Business Administration which she used in her career at Supreme Oil Company in Hazelton, PA. Barbara loved Penn State Football games and was a member of the Nittany Lion Alumni Club. Barbara loved her family and spending time with her grandkids and her great grandchildren who were her dearest passion.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Palmyra Senior Living and their staff for their wonderful, kind, and loving care while Barbara was a resident there.

Denise was a Christian by faith. Her family was most important to her. She loved attending her kids and grandkids sporting events. Denise was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies fan. She loved casino trips with her family, Friday night pinochle games with friends, going to BINGO and chocolate tastykake cupcakes.

Jamie was United Methodist by faith and loved the outdoors, most of all hunting and fishing and spending time with his children at the beach. Jamie enjoyed doing auto body work on cars and did that for many years for at several autobody shops. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings, and Miami Hurricanes fan and spent many days watching them play.
A visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10am until the time of service at Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Middletown, PA.
A Funeral Service will be held for Jamie on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11 AM with Pastor Barbara Maurice at Matinchek Funeral Home.
The family is requesting donations be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 eighth avenue, Suite 1402, NY, NY 10018 in lieu of flowers.

Evelyn was a retired personnel supervisor for Bell/ Verizon Telephone. She was a devoted member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Middletown where she taught Sunday School for many years. Evelyn was a volunteer for the Homework Club of MASD and a volunteer tour guide for the Hershey Museum. She loved to plant and grow flowers especially roses. Evelyn loved to travel, whether it was abroad or simply the nice warm beach (OCNJ & OCMD), where she enjoyed swimming, sunning and bicycling.
Her husband and her brothers, Walter Reider, Robert Reider and Ray Reider, preceded Evelyn in death.
She is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin, PA at a later date.

He is survived by his loving children: son Robert E. Hahn Jr. and his wife Cheryl, daughter Patricia Pollack and her husband Marc, and son Brian Hahn; four grandchildren, Robert P. Hahn and his wife Lisa, David B. Fein and his wife Ashley, Adam D. Fein and Nathaniel C. Hahn; four sisters, Shirl Rice, Maria Douglass, Dorothy Nagle and Jackie Powell.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph, Edward; and sisters Margie, Martha, Betty and Helen.
Robert was a kind-hearted person, a true friend, a devoted and supportive father and grandfather. He loved dogs, nature and springtime, going to his cabin in Blackwell, PA, studying WWII history, and the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of the Middletown American Legion Post 594.
A tribute to Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown with the Rev. Britt Strohecker officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.
