Connie is predeceased by husband, Anthony F. D’Amico. Survived by her son Anthony (Tony) D’Amico and his wife Sherri, Daughter Darlene Kenny and her Husband Charles, her sister and best friend; Maria Lombardi, her five grandchildren; Craig, Alex, Lyndsay and her husband Rick, Alyssa and Jessica, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Summit, NJ, Sandra was born and raised in Union, NJ, before moving to Scotch Plains 5 years ago.

She was a 1988 graduate of Union High School.

Sandra was active with Autism Speaks and supported a lot of her friends. She always told it like it was and had a heart of gold. She loved horror movies, the color black, gargoyles but her true love was her 2 children.

Surviving are two loving children, Lucia and Griffin (Giovanna), soulmate and love, John Makomaski, devoted mother, Joann Mascola, dear siblings, Gina Martinez, Joseph Tonzola and his wife Lawna, Patti Maze, and Peter Mascola, very special goddaughter and niece, Alencia Garcia, fur cat babies, Gary and Ruby, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Mary Ann lived in Roselle Pak all of her life before moving to Brick 14 years ago.

She was a floral designer for Donato’s Florist in Roselle Park for many years.

Mary Ann was devoted to her pets and rescued all that she could.

She is predeceased by her mother, Georgiana.

Marilyn is the beloved mother of Thomas Connors and his wife Patsy Kenneth Connors and his wife Cynthia, the late Michael Connors and his surviving wife Maureen, and the late Robert Connors and his surviving wife Eileen. Devoted grandmother of eight grandsons Karch and his wife Cori, Dakota, Koy and his wife Kelly, Tyler, Kyle, Cody, Ryan, and Jake, one granddaughter Kaylee, and one great-grandson Cash. He enjoyed time with his family, listening to music, watching FC Barcelona games, the NY Mets, gardening, yard work, and decorating the house for multiple holidays. He was selfless, kind and loving. Bobby was born in 1973 at Muhlenburg Hospital, Plainfield, NJ to Robert Sr. and Annette Taylor (DiBello). They lived in Greenbrook NJ with his sister Robin until 1977 when the family moved to Kenilworth NJ.

Bobby graduated from David Brearley High School in 1992 where he played football and wrestled. Bobby continued his education studying English Literature at Princeton University where he also played college football and graduated in 1996. He then went on to Seton Hall University School of Law and graduated Juris Doctor in 1999.

He was a practicing Attorney at Robert E. Taylor Jr. Esq. Bobby was a former Councilman for the Borough of Kenilworth. He settled in Fanwood NJ in 2018. He was an avid Poker Player and loved his family, friends, NY Mets, and the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his parents Robert Sr. and Annette Taylor, his sister Robin Zarzycki and her husband Rob, his niece Jessica, his nephew Zachary, and numerous Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.

A Life Celebration will be held at Mastapeter Funeral Home, Roselle Park, on Friday April 26th, 2024 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M.

He was blessed with many grandchildren: Jason Lynch, Alisha (Benko) and husband Rory Kuntzler, Rachel Benko Naval, Kenneth C. Benko, Annalicia, Julianna and Joseph DiLollo, and two great grandchildren, Deaglan and Giavonna Kuntzler.

Conrad had a diligent work ethic performing his duties to excellence, which led to his promotion to management at General Motors. Conrad loved his Italian heritage, especially the food, music and language. He was known to partner with relatives and friends to travel out of State for a good meal. He loved to travel and visited Russia and Italy.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ in 1927, Antoinette was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Anna Leo. She was the wife of her loving husband, Roy Frank Scutro.

Antoinette was a devoted mother to two sons, the late Roy, Jr. and his wife Terry (Maria-Teresa), and Joseph and his late wife Mary Jo. Her five grandchildren, Tommy and his husband Brian, Anthony and his wife Myriem, Joseph and Caitlin Cook, Joanna and former spouse Mike Freedley, and Michael and his wife Grace, brought her immense joy and countless hours of entertainment and laughter. Antoinette also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren: Milo, Aurelia, Tristan, Melanie, Adam, Michael, and Quentin.

A graduate of Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ, Antoinette was a talented needleworker, creating beautiful crocheted afghans and intricate needlepoint pieces. She was an ardent fan of the New York Yankees, an avid reader, and a crossword puzzle enthusiast. Her warmth and kindness endeared her to all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.

May Antoinette "Nana" Scutro's memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all. We are all better for having her in our lives... all the Days of our lives. May she rest in peace.

Jackie was known for his lifelong love of cars. He raced in his youth and enjoyed working on restoring his Camaro. Always the dog lover, Jack spent his days pampering his pup, Zoe. Jack was known for his perpetual optimism.

It was hard to find him without a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. We can all learn from Jack’s love of life.

Food Corporation until her retirement in 1987. Fernanda was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family, taking road trips, beach days and crocheting. She never said no to a function that

involved music and dancing. Fernanda is pre-deceased by her husband, Antonio. Surviving are her sons, Joe and his wife Margaret and Mario and his wife Mercedes, and grandchildren Steven, Deborah, David and

Jacob. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend to many.

Obituary Preview: Nancy A. Cigolini, 69, daughter of Joseph H. Sica and Dorothy (nee DeMarco), passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on April 5, 2024.

Born in Rahway, NJ, Nancy was mostly raised in Roselle Park. She was a 1973 graduate of Roselle Park High School and soon after purchased a home in the borough with then husband Thomas Hemenway, with whom she had three children.

Nancy also lived in West Orange, Flanders, Hopatcong and Treasure Island, Fla. with husband David Cigolini.

Early on, Nancy could be seen working at her mother’s restaurant, Aliperti’s, in Clark. Later, she was also a project manager at Lucent Technologies in Mt. Olive.

Nancy is remembered as a “bright light” and a “sweetheart” – a loving mother as well as a devoted friend to many. She was the gracious host of countless parties for family and friends, and she was a lover of the Jersey shore. She will be terribly missed.

Nancy is predeceased by her father. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Phillips; brother Joseph D. Sica and wife Darlene of Brick; son Chad Hemenway and wife Valerie of Roselle Park; son Jonathan Hemenway and wife Kelly of Parsippany; daughter Jillian Hader and husband Andrew of Boonton Township; and seven grandchildren: Claire, Matthew, Robert, Madelyn, Samuel, Oliver, and Harrison.

A memorial service for Nancy will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park, NJ 07204. Visiting hours are 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur J. Russo, Sr., loving son, Peter J. Russo, dear parents, Peter and Rosa Silano, two sisters, Phyllis Galasso and Rose Lee, and two brothers, Gene and Nicholas Silano.

Surviving are two loving children, Brenda Marino and her husband Don, and Art Russo, Jr., and his wife Gail, daughter-in-law, Barbara Russo, and a sister-in-law Rose Silano, three adored grandchildren, Jaclyn Marino, Michelle Payne, and Arty Russo, III, and three cherished great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Chase, and Archer. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Newark, Mary moved to Kenilworth in 1949 when she married the love of her life Arthur J. Russo, Sr. and began raising a loving family, which started their journey into a beautiful life together. They took many trips and shared many memories as a family. She worked for Prudential and was a hairdresser before becoming the owner of Center Deli and the Kenilworth Garden Center. Where she enjoyed all aspects of catering and bow making which adorned all holiday wreaths well into her 90’s!

Mary was a member and president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Kenilworth. She was also a Cub Scout Leader in Kenilworth and a member and trustee of the Kenilworth Senior Citizen’s where she taught line dancing, played mahjong with her friends, Christmas party organizer, and attended many Atlantic City trips.

She enjoyed reading her Bible and was famous for her favorite lines. Mary also loved attending Novena and 7:30am Sunday mass at St. Theresa’s Church.

A loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she loved to travel everywhere, loved her drinks, chocolate, baking and making homemade manicotti with her grandchildren. Mary will be dearly missed by all who have known and loved her.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 9am. A Mass of Chistian Burial will be at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10:30am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

Phyllis met her husband Howard Proctor, married in 1963 and then began their family. Phyllis was a devoted mother, homemaker raising 3 children and was deeply involved in St. Genevieve’s parish.

Phyllis spent her retirement as a loving grandmother, spending countless hours caring for her Grandchildren. Always remembered for her warmth and kindness, her nurturing spirit, strength and inspiration to those who were lucky to know her.

Phyllis is preceded by her Husband Howard Proctor, (Three brothers) Gerry, Kenneth, Alfred, and (sister) Genevieve Susterka. Phyllis is survived by her children- Paul Proctor, Howard Proctor, Jr, and Sharon Jayne (Husband Gary Jayne). Phyllis also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren-Lucas Jayne, Leah Jayne, Brandon Proctor and Dylan Proctor. Loved by many Nieces, Nephews, sisters-in-law, and friends.

Louise married John Francis DePaola in 1960 and settled in Roselle Park, NJ. Louise and John went on to have five children, Theresa, Patricia, John, James, and Mary.

As a faithful, life-long Catholic, Louise was a devoted member of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park. Louise was a member of the Rosary Society, a Eucharistic Minister, and a committed participant in many functions of the church.

Louise was predeceased by her parents and sister, Emily, and her husband John, who died on September 10, 2007.

Louise is survived by her five children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Catherine M. Chin - May 10, 1955 - March 24, 2024

Obituary Preview: Catherine Margaret Chin, (nee: Zarella), age 68, daughter of Thomas Zarella and Margaret (nee: Wallace) Zarella, passed away at Bayshore Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Cathy was born on May 10, 1955 to Thomas Zarella and Margaret Zarella (nee Wallace). Cathy grew up in Cambria Heights, NY, and attended and graduated from LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Traina of Roselle Park, NJ, Michelle Chin of Otego, NY, and Matthew Chin of Roselle Park, NJ; Larry Chin, her husband and the father of her children; and mother, Margaret Zarella. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Roy Traina, Jr, Senara Marshall, and Melanie; as well as her brothers, Anthony and Thomas, sisters, Sharon and Christina; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was a loving and caring wife and mother as well as member of her community. Cathy was an enthusiastic volunteer for school activities. She served as President of the Auxiliary Board for Roselle Park’s Youth Baseball and Softball League for several years.

Cathy took pride in her house and yard and loved taking care of the garden and flower beds. Family traditions were important to her. Cathy was sentimental and loved family photos as well as cherished all cards she received.

As her children grew, Cathy became involved in more religious activities, attending Bible groups and trips and developing her connection with her religion. She served as Eucharistic minister at Church of the Assumption for 5 years.

She had a generous heart, becoming a certified home healthcare aide and certified dementia practitioner. She then became caregiver for her father until his passing followed by caring for her mother.

Cathy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She brought a smile to everyone's face and made friends everywhere she went.

Calling hours will be held at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 4. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 5 immediately followed by entombment in Forest Green Cemetery in Marlboro Twsp., NJ.

Obituary Preview: Theresa “Teri” Karaman passed away peacefully at home with her family on March 20th, 2024. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on October 21st, 1961. Teri resided in Colonia for 40 years before moving to New Egypt in 2010.

Teri attended and graduated from the Glen Cove school in Sewaren NJ. She loved being in school and was loved by all her teachers and classmates. Teri enjoyed listening to music especially polka music. She looked forward to going to polka dances to hear her favorite polka band and accordion player, Eddie Forman EFO. Teri also had a passion for painting and going to the library. She attended painting classes on a regular basis and often visited the library with her best friend Teri Moore. Teri is most famous for singing ‘Sto lat’ at family birthday parties.

Teri is predeceased by her father Henry Karaman. She is survived by her beloved mother Jean (nee: McCarthy) Karaman, a loving sister, Jill Graser, two loving brothers, Tom Karaman and Jim Karaman (Lori), beloved nieces and nephews, Brandon Graser, Sara Walsh and her husband Noah, EJ Karaman, Pete Karaman and Brody Karaman and Godmother Sophie Rawdow and many devoted cousins.

During Teri’s life on earth, she was surrounded by and looked after by her family, extended family and friends. Her mission in her afterlife will be to protect and guide her beloved family. She is now our guardian angel.

He worked at United Technologies for many years and his last position was as CFO and VP at EMI Industries in Tampa FL. He retired in 2023 to Sarasota, FL.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Julia, son Luke (wife Katie), and daughter Ava; father, Joseph; brother Joseph; sisters Karen (husband Roberto) and Jan as well as nieces, extended relatives and lifelong friends.

Obituary Preview: Francesco “Ciccio” Aiello, age 83 years, of Kenilworth, NJ, died peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024, surrounded by his cherished family.

Ciccio will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he met.

His story begins in Castiglione Cosentino, Italy on March 22, 1940. He was the son of the late Agostino Aiello and Elisa Cesario, and the eldest son in a family of nine children. Ciccio was a bright, obedient, and hard-working young man. At the age of seventeen he left Italy to join his sister Emma in Argentina. He settled in the Tablada neighborhood of Buenos Aires when his remaining siblings and parents joined them in 1962.

While there, Ciccio worked for Pirelli Tires as a cable engineer. There he made many friends, including Giacomo Pontoriero who eventually became his brother-in-law and lifelong friend. In Tablada he also met Antonio Petracca who would become like a brother to him and eventually lead him to his wife, Rachele.

In 1972, he moved to Leichlingen, Germany with his brother Orlando. The two brothers lived and worked side-by-side. Four years later, they would emigrate to the United States to join their siblings Mario and Yolanda in Newark; they were also later joined by their brother Alfredo and mother.

Shortly thereafter Ciccio paid his friend Antonio a visit. It was then he met Antonio’s sister and the love of his life, Rachele. After a brief courtship the pair were married in 1977 and settled in Kenilworth, NJ to raise their three children.

Ciccio was a kind, loving husband and “Papa”. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, employed by Ruesch Machinery as a skilled electrician for nearly 20 years until his retirement. He instilled in his children not only his work ethic, but a deep love of family. Between his own family and Rachele’s family, whom Ciccio adopted as his own, there was always a sense of togetherness, love and laughter.

As his children grew and married, Ciccio entered a new phase in life once becoming a grandfather. As “Nonno” he lavished love and attention on his six grandchildren, who have spent countless hours in Nonno’s arms, at his table, and in his yard. Nothing gave him greater joy than to see their faces light up as he pushed them in the swing or gave them a sweet treat.

Ciccio’s home was a central hub for family and friends. Whether you visited for a quick espresso or to enjoy a plate of pasta on Sunday you were always welcome. Maintaining food traditions was also a large part of his life. The production of homemade sopressatta, nduja, tomato sauce, and wine was always a social event. In the summer he would share from his impressive garden and could be relied upon for Argentine carne asada. He also used his skills as an electrician and handyman to help all of his family and friends. When he did find time to relax Ciccio could be found reading the news, playing a spirited game of Scopa, or watching a classic Western, Formula 1, or soccer on TV.

Ciccio is predeceased by his parents, brother Adolfo “Alfredo”, brothers in law Ettore and Giacomo “Jack”.

Surviving are his cherished and devoted wife, Rachele; their children, Monica (Matthew) Ireland, Michael (Raquel) Aiello, and Melissa (Joseph) Rossi; his grandchildren, Parker and Nora Ireland, Lily and Lucas Aiello, and Leo and Francesco Rossi. He is also fondly remembered by his brothers Umberto (Filomena), Silvio (Rosa), Orlando (Marina), and Gregorio (Elba); his sisters Emma Aiello, Maria (Juan) Pate, and Vanda “Yolanda” Pontoriero; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends made around the world.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Theresa’s Church, 541 Washington Avenue, Kenilworth. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, East Broad Street, Westfield.
