Dennis was born on May 19, 1954 to Willie and Laura Ridgell Hampton in Portland, Arkansas. He was married to Alberta (Lewis) Hampton of Youngstown, Ohio. To this union two children were born, Rosalyn and Leo. He attended school in the Portland School District; graduating from Portland High School. Dennis served his country from September 1974 to July 1980 in the United States Marine Corp. During this tenure he earned a badge for Rifle Sharpshooter. He also served in the Army National of Arkansas, terminating his service in September 1991. He lived in Youngstown, Ohio, then returned to Portland and began working for DMT Farms, Portland, Arkansas
Dennis passed away on January 22, 2024 at the John L. McClellan Veteran Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is survived by his spouse Alberta Hampton of Youngstown, OH; two children, Rosalind Lewis of Youngstown, OH and Leo Hampton of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Betty Hampton Payne of Portland, AR, Tempie Hampton of Portland, AR, James Hampton of Lake Village, AR, Danny Steve Hampton (Mona) of Lake Village, AR, and Edward Charles Hampton of Wilwaukee, WI.

Juanita was born on March 25, 1955 to Anderson and Caretha Whatley Wimberly in Jerome, Arkansas. She attended school and graduated from Morris Booker Memorial College in 1973. Her church affiliation was with Calvery #1 Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Ralph Carbage.
After completing her education she began working for Burlington Industries in Monticello, Arkansas. She also worked for the Arkansas Revenue Department and worked as a substitute teacher at Dermott High School. Juanita enjoyed growing flowers, fishing, cooking, and she loved animals.
Ms. Wimberly passed away on Wednesday, January 17 2024; she leaves as survivors two daughters, Veronica Watson and Yolonda Watson of Dermott; three sisters, Rozena Wimberly of Little Rock, Julia Harden of Dermott, and Almeda Giles (Lorenzo) of Little Rock; one brother, Wilbert Wimberly of Little Rock.
Viewing and Visitation will be held from 5-6:30 Friday, January 26, 2024 at Dillard Funeral Chapel, 111 North Freeman Street, Dermott.

Esther was born on April 1, 1954 to Murry and Reola Adams Brown in Dermott, Arkansas. She married Joseph Maxwell. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Elder J. R. Liggins. She became a member of First Christ of COGIC under the leadership of Elder J. R. Liggins Esther attended school in the Dermott School District and was one of the first students to intergrate Dermott Junior High. After receiving her dipolma, she attended Berekley College of Nursing. Most of her work was done in the Healthcare field. Esther was known among family and friends for being an excellent cook and an equally excellent beautician.
Mrs. Maxwell passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is survived by five children; two daughters, Miranda Rowe (Patrick) of Indianapolis, IN, Vanetta Collins of Dermott, AR; three sons, Garrian Adams (Monica) of Richmond, CA, Tracey Kelley (Bernice) of Dermott, AR, and Stacy Kelley (Laura) of Modesto, CA and five siblings; two brothers, Lanell Adams (Pearlie) of Portland, OR, Murry Adams (Brenda) of Portland, OR; three sisters, Gloria Jones of Portland, OR, Martha Jones (Oren) of Dermott, AR, and Cynthia Adams of Sunleandro, CA.

Sandra was born on July 29, 1954 to Joe and Verna Mae Mitchell in Dermott, Arkansas. She attended school at Morris Booker College and graduated with the class of 1972. She was married to late Willie Shannon, who preceded her in death. Her church affiliation was with Rose Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor S. Jordan.
She was a resident of Beloit, Wisconsin for several year but later returned to Dermott in 2008. After returning to Dermott, she became employed with the Dumas Garment Factory and worked there until retirement. Sandra's main entertainment was bingo and enjoying her grandchildren.
Mrs. Shannon passed away at her home on Monday, October 30, 2023. She leaves as survivors six children, Chester Dunn of Dallas, TX, Tracey Dunn (Tara) of Rockton, IL, Carolyn Mitchell (Terrance) of Benton, AR, Theodis Jones Jr. of Dermott, AR, Andrew Jones of Alexander, AR, and Anglie Jones of Dermott, AR; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Tommy Lee Johnson (Gloria) of Juneau, AK, Don Robert Cobb of Pine Bluff, AR, Bealvie Nelson of Beloit, WI, Terry Brown of Dermott, AR, Rodney Johnson (Teresa) of Beloit, WI, and Connie Cobb of Dermott, AR.

Jimmie was born July 14, 1953 in Dermott, AR to the late Eddie and Bertha Scales Robinson. He Graduated from Dermott High with the class of 1972. Later he attended Culinary School in Fayetteville, Arkansas and obtained an Associate Degree in Culinary.
He worked in the Food Service Industry in Hollywood, Flordia and Fort Lauerdale, Flordia. From 1975 to 1978, he served in the United States Army. During his service time he received the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Good Conduct Medical. His last overseas mission was in Korea, ending in 1975. He enjoyed fishing and cooking.
Mr. Robinson passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. He leaves as survivors two sons, Marcus Robinson (Nikeke) of Columbus, OH and Julius Robinson of Arlington, TX; one brother, Willie White (Diane) of Little Rock, AR.

Robert was born in Dermott, February 21, 1971, to the late Rev. and Mrs. Willie Lee Plummer. He confessed his life at an early age under the leadership of his father, the late Rev. Willie Lee Plummer, at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
He was a proud graduate of Dermott High School, graduating with the class of 1989. He excelled in sports and received a scholarship to Garland Community College. On October 7, 2006, he married Marlo and to this union three children were born. Together they shared five daughters and he was a "proud" father. He loved to brag on himself but, he loved telling the world about the many accomplishments his "girls" had received and the great things they were going to do in this world.
Robert passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Marlo of Hot Springs; five children, DaNeitra Franklin, D'Essence Grant, Katelynn Plummer, Keoina Plummer, and Rotora Plummer; three grandchildren, Ian Anderson, A'yonna Foote, and Aiden Foote; his mother, Mrs. Rosie Lee Plummer of Hot Springs, six siblings, Wanda (Arthur Lee) Willis, Alma (Willie) Parker, Elic Plummer, JoAnn Graham, Minnie (Pastor Gregory) Eichelberger, and Willie Plummer, Jr. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and the Dermott High School class of 1989.

Carl was born on May 4, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan. He welcomed his son, Thomas Berkley Jackson, on August 23, 1983 with Shelley Jackson. He made a heartfelt request for divine guidance in raising his son in a safe environment which led to their move to Illinois in the summer of 1993.
Carl was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and moved to Dallas to be closer to his favorite football team. While in Dallas, Carl secured a position with Tom Thumb, a grocery store, ultimately becoming the head of the Grocery Department. In Illinois, Carl began his employment as a Casino Dealer at the Empress Casino, the Majestic Star Casino and lastly, Harrah's Casino, where he made lifelong friends among his coworkers. He was a household name as one of the best dealers for his 25 years of employment. Because of his phenomenal customer service skills, positive attitude,and technical abilities, he was featured in collateral across the Harrah's property for many years. Carl has a variety of hobbies that brought joy to his life, including watching his beloved Chicago White Sox, running, exercising, tending to his houseplants and garden, and enjoying music while entertaining friends and family. In addition to his other passions, Carl has a keen interest in staying informed about current events and politics. He found enjoyment in watching MSNBC and engaging in spirited political debates with friends and loved ones. His willingness to engage in thoughtful discussions showcased his commitment to staying informed and sharing his perspectives.
Carl's family was a source of strength, support, and love and Carl was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by one son, Thomas Jackson; three grandchildren, Tasey, Christopher, and Mariah; his parents, Johnnie Mae Thomas and Rufus Thomas, Jr. of Dermott, AR; and five siblings, Ricky Thomas, Lolita Thomas, Sharon Thomas, Selina Smith, and Francine Gildon; 4 nieces, 6 nephews, 4 grandnieces and 6 grandnephews.

Jeanette was born on February 20, 1933 to the late Isiah and Louise Neal Brown in Baxter, Arkansas and was the eldest of thirteen children. She received her education in the Chicot County School District. At an early age, she accepted Christ under the leadership of Rev. C. C. Miller. On December 14, 1951, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Lawrence C. Robinson; to this union, 11 children were born.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially nurturing her grandchildren. Her hobbies included cooking delicious meals for her family, quilting, and challenging her husband to a game of checkers.
Mrs. Robinson passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She is survived by four sons, Lawrence (Jean) Robinson of Bastrop, LA, Charles (Angie) Robinson of Waukegan, IL, Larry (Betty) Robinson of Dermott, AR, and Bobby (Emma) Robinson of Irving, TX; six daughters, Mary (Micheal) Clark of Detroit, MI, Carolyn Walker of Texarkanna, AR, Sharon (Theodis) Shelton of Pine Bluff, AR, Linda Neal of Little Rock, AR, Curtis Robinson of Kenosha, WI, Latishia Bailey of Dermott, AR; four brothers, James Brown, Sr. of Little Rock, AR, Jewel Brown of Windsor, Connecticut, Theodore (JoAnn) Brown of Dermott, AR, John (Almira) Brown of Dermott, AR; two sisters, Laura Brown Powell of Springdale, AR and Doris Brown Brannon of Grandview, MO. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Nelson Robinson and three brothers, Charlie Brown, Jr., Isaiah Brown, Jr., and Allen Brown; she also leaves to cherish her memory 41 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren.

Casonja was born September 29, 1967 in Chicago, IL. Her parents are Myles Burnett and the late Bernice Burnett. She attended school at Dermott High School and graduated with the class of 1985. Her favorite pass-time was watching T.V., Law & Order was her favorite T.V. show. She also enjoyed listening to music.
Casonja passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at UAMS Medical Center, Little Rock. She leaves as survivors one daughter, Traneeka Burnett of White Settlement, TX; her father, Mr. Myles Burnett, Jr. of Dermott; two brothers, Myles Burnett, III and Thomas Burnett of Dermott; five sisters, Derneen Bonner and Nigia Burnett of Dermott, Michelle Washington and Kimmyette Love of Monticello, and Catrenna Burnett of McGehee. She is preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Earl Ward and her mother, Mrs. Bernice Smith Burnett.

Jervis was born on July 7, 1967 to J. W. and Rosie L. Akins in Red Leaf, Arkansas. He attended schools in the Eudora and Lake Village School Districts; graduating high school in 1985. In 1991, he met and married Gwendolyn Armour. During their 19 years of marriage, one child was born: a son, Jarris. After the declining of their marriage, Jervis moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he met Jessica Eckridge and to this union one child was born, a daughter, Jada Akins.
Jervis passed Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At an early age she confessed her life to Christ at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Ricky Lattimore, Sr. Corneshia was raised and lived in Dermott all her life . She was a graduate of Dermott High School, graduating with the class of 2011 and this is where she met her better half of 16 years, Brandon (BC) Culbreath. She continued her education at Ultimate Medical Academy, obtaining an Associate of Applied Science in Health Administration in 2023. Everyone that know Conneshia couldn't help but love her. Her presence and beautiful spirit stood out among all and she will be truly missed.
