Erma C. Tidwell - June 18, 1936 - May 23, 2024

Obituary Preview: Erma C. Tidwell, age 87 of Hammonton, NJ passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at home with her beloved family by her side. Erma fought a heroic battle with cancer over three years.
Erma was born in Hammonton and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1954. She attended St. Agnes School of Nursing from 1954-1957. While raising her family and working, Erma furthered her education and received her Associate’s degree in 1985. Early in her career she worked the 11pm to 7am shift at the Esposito Maternity Home from 1965 – 1971. From there Erma went to Virtua in Voorhees where she retired in January 2001 after 30 years of service. She came out of retirement and did 8 more years at the Endo Center in Voorhees.
Erma is predeceased by her parents Anna and Angelo Fortis, her beloved husband George, her brother Nicholas Fortis, her Godchild Michele Samanic and her other niece Karen Marker. She was an active member of St. Joseph Church and past member of the Altar Rosary Society. When her three sons attended St Joseph High School she was an active PTA mom who attended all school events along with volunteering at the Little League. Erma was the kind of person who was always available for her family and friends. If someone was in the hospital she was there to take care of them. If you had a question about a condition or medication, you asked Erma.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. George, Michael (Julie), Brian (Carol), her brother John Fortis (Bea) and her sister in law, Margie Fortis. Her 3 Grandsons, Drew, Brett, and Garrett were the sunshine of her life. She will be sadly missed by her friends and family. We will try to keep the Tortellini Tradition alive.
A heartfelt thanks to all of Erma’s beautiful friends, especially Kathy Reichert, her neighbors Van and Catherine, her sister in law Margie Fortis and her wonderful caretaker Marie.

Katherine Greene - June 22, 1935 - May 14, 2024

Obituary Preview: KATHERINE JONES GREENE, the sixth of seven children, was born on June 22, 1935. in the Bronx, New York to Hilma Eugene Jones and Dorcas Robinson Jones. At an early age she gave her heart to the Lord and became an active member of Community Full Gospel Church in the Bronx.
After graduating from Morris High School, Katherine attended Hunter College of New York where she earned a degree in Education. She began a career in social work, and eventually moved on to education and teaching elementary school students in the New York City public school system for many years.
On June 28, 1958, Katherine married her longtime sweetheart of five years, Hyman Greene. This union produced five children - Kenric Gordon, Robin Lynette Hudson, Kyle Warren, Raquel Ginnette, and Kristian Darren. Katherine eventually left teaching and was primarily in the home raising her children as the family grew.
After spending over 30 summers in New Jersey, in 1990 she and her husband Hyman became full time residents of Elm in Winslow Township, New Jersey. While living in Elm she was a faithful member of the Harvest Church (formerly Hammonton Assemblies of God) for over thirty years.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents Hilma and Dorcas, sisters Francena, Hilda, Jane, Cynthia, and Russelle. She leaves to mourn in her passing her brother Hubie Jones, five children, grandsons Kellen, Avery, and David: granddaughters Alaysia, Carissa, Kristin, and Kerri, daughters-in-law Jodi and Jonalyn, and a host of family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend Katherine’s visitation Tuesday May 21, 2024, at 6:00pm at Harvest Church 272 US-206 , Hammonton, NJ 08037. Katherine’s celebration of life will take place Wednesday May 22, 2024, at 11:00 also at Harvest Church.

Gail is predeceased by her parents Mearl and Marian Balmer. Gail is survived by her devoted husband Charles M. Craig, her loving children Kim (Jay) Ewasko, Terri (Tom) Schad, Craig (Kim) Easton, Jeff (Marie) Craig, Jon (Cindi) Craig. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Erin, Rachel, Shannon, Jonathan, Taylor, Michael, Camryn, Ryan, and Melanie. She is also survived by her brother Mearl (Adrianne) Balmer, Jr. and sister Fredricka Hallman.

Antoinetta was born in Cefalu, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1958. She loved to take care of her home, cook, bake and share meals with loved ones and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Giuseppe Glorioso, and her parents
Frank and Josephine (nee Testa) DiMarco.
Antoinetta is survived by her three daughters, Concetta Haubrich and her husband Joseph, Anna Marie Glorioso, and Josephine DiDomenico and her husband Jim. She is also survived by her siblings Salvatore DiMarco, Diego DeMarco, Nino DeMarco, and Rosa DeMarco. She is the loving grandmother of four and great grandmother of four. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Anna Marie was a lifelong Hammonton resident and parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church. She graduated from Trenton State College (TCNJ) and Rutgers University in Camden. Anna Marie taught in the Audubon and Hammonton School District before starting a second career as a certified public accountant. She was a devoted mother and an avid Army Football fan. Anna Marie was an honorary commander at Joint Base MDL.
She is predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Ingemi, Sr., her parents James and Anna (Bartolone) Matro and her brother Gaetano “James” Matro.
Anna Marie is survived by her son Joseph F. Ingemi, Jr. and his wife Jen, sister in law Marty Matro, her many nieces and nephews, and her beloved pets.

He was born in Philadelphia and lived in many different areas from Pennsylvania to Florida, but always talked about his time in North Carolina.
He was an Operating Engineer and a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers 542 out of Philadelphia. He also had other business interests at different times of his life including owning a hotel in Absecon, NJ, and owning a dry cleaning business in Florida, where he was referred to as the George Jefferson of Daytona Beach.
He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Mayonna Jones, son William Jones, Jr., and brothers, Raymond Jr. and Kenneth Jones, and sister-in-law Patricia.
William is survived by his sons Timothy Jones (Marie), Christopher Jones (Jennifer), and Shawn Jones (Nicole), along with his brother Patrick Jones (Jeannie) and sister Marcie (Larry) Carter. Loving grandfather of Sydney, Ryan, Kate, Noah, Kyle, Darby, Julianna, Hope, Jack, and Sawyer, and great-grandson, Dayton.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday, April 19, from 1-3 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, located at 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m.

She is predeceased by her husband Michael J. DelGuercio, Sr. her son Michael J. DelGuercio, Jr., parents Joseph and Ella Colucci, brothers Robert and George Colucci as well as her sisters Kathryn Orth, Peggy Penza, Florence Roccia and Doris Morganweck.
Mildred is survived by her son Paul A. DelGuercio and his wife Lucille, daughter Alanna DeAnnuntis and her husband, her sister Alice Emay. She is the loving grand mother of six and nine great grandchildren and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Ethel Joan Maccarone - February 08, 1932 - March 31, 2024

Obituary Preview: On 3/31/24, Joan Maccarone passed peacefully at her home in Orlando, FL, where she was surrounded by her loving family. In addition to being a wife and mother, Joan worked for the Hammonton Board of Education for 26 years in the cafeteria office and as a cashier. She was active in the Hammonton School PTA and was Vice President and Treasurer. Joan was also involved in The Hammonton Band Boosters and served as Treasurer. She was an avid supporter of the Hammonton HS Marching Band and never missed their performances near or far. Joan was an animal lover and dogs and cats were always a part of the family. She was also a big fan of all football, especially the Eagles. In her younger days, Joan enjoyed roller skating. It was at one of these sessions where she met Angelo. They would marry in 1955 and be together for over 62 years, until his passing 10/19/17. Joan was an amazing cook especially Italian. She also made the most delicious cookies at Christmas spending hours chopping pounds of walnuts by hand. Joan was a great dancer and loved to jitterbug. She also loved playing slot machines at various casinos. Joan also enjoyed playing cards and played until just before her passing. After retirement, she began working for Michael at his restaurant “The Eatery” as hostess and she would sit and converse with many patrons.
In addition to Angelo, Joan was also predeceased by her parents Ethel Palmer, Irving Palmer and Chester Spearing. Joan is survived by her children Michael Maccarone (Christine Carvelli), Kathleen Sartorio (Robert), Cynthia Reinhard (Theodore), her half-brothers James Palmer and William Spearing (Sue), Stepsisters Patricia Gillum (Frank) and Wanda McHenry, sisters-in-law Ruth (Maccarone) Connaught, Phyllis (Maccarone) Lisanti (Joseph) and many nieces and nephews. Joan had 3 grandchildren, whom she loved and was proud of, Brandi Reinhard, Kerrilynn Maccarone (Eric Yowaiski), and Lisa (Maccarone) Castro (Jonathan), 2 step-grandchildren Robert Sartorio Jr (Renata) and Barbara Russell (Brandon) and 5 great grandchildren. Joan knew her time was near, but wanted to wait for the birth of her great grandson Elio Fish Maccarone-Yowaiski to arrive. She got her wish as he was born on 3/25/2024.
Services will be held at a later date.

Scott Anthony Santora - August 28, 1948 - March 27, 2024

Obituary Preview: Scott Anthony Santora, age 76, of Hammonton, New Jersey went home to Jesus on March 27th, 2024.
Scott was born on August 28, 1947, to Victor and Ann Santora. He graduated from Hammonton High School in 1966, where he was an avid football player. He then attended Wesley University before transferring to and graduating from Towson University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. While at Towson University, he was known for scoring the first game winning touchdown in their history in 1969. On January 31st, 1981 he married Margaret Pauline Ender. He retired as a Senior Project Manager from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection working in Environmental Sampling, Hazardous Site Management, and the Thermal Disposal of Chemical Reagents and Munitions at Toxic Waste Superfund Sites in 2002. Outside of his work with the NJ DEP, Scott enjoyed collaborating, networking with, and developing various technologies including the vitrification of solidwaste, the safe sampling of toxic waste, the entrapment of radiation into glass, the building of a self-contained bomb detonation chamber for the New Jersey State Police Bomb Unit, and various advances in over-unity energy production. Besides his love of science, Scott also had a great love of good Italian Food, the perfect crusty roll, his family and most importantly, his Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ. Underneath his gruff, and at times confrontational demeanor, Scott wanted everyone he met to know that Jesus loved them, and they too could find forgiveness and eternal life in heaven through Christ’s finished work on the cross.
Scott is survived by his wife Margaret Ender-Santora, his two daughters Teah Santora and Karla [A. Elliot] Hirshorn, his granddaughter Remi Daniels, his sister Vickie [Jack] Springfield, and his two brothers William [Carol] Santora and James [Linda] Santora. He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Ann Santora.

Obituary Preview: Timothy L. Richardson Jr., 57, of Venice, Florida, and formerly of Holliston and Lancaster, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Barbara (Eames) Richardson and Timothy L. Richardson Sr. Tim was a loving husband of 22 years to Rene (Campione) Richardson.
Tim grew up in Holliston, MA where he was active in youth Little League, and high school football and track. After high school, he went on to attend UMass Lowell, receiving an MBA. Tim worked for the Mechanical Engineering team at Raytheon Technologies for 36 years as a Senior Operations Analyst. After college and beginning work at Raytheon, Tim met, and married, Rene settling in Lancaster, Ma where they lived for 14 years. They moved to Venice, FL in 2021, where both he and Rene received their real estate licenses.
Throughout his life, Tim was greatly interested in music, often playing along on one of his many guitars, either electric or acoustic. In addition to his love of music, he also enjoyed coin collecting, being a part of the Venice Coin Club, bowling with Rene, and was interested in cars, and cooking.
Besides his wife, Tim is survived by his siblings, Janna (Richardson) Vogel and her husband, Stephen, of Pomfret Center, CT, Peter K. Richardson and his wife, Sara, of Bozeman, MT, his sister-in-law, Desiree Campione of Hammonton, NJ, his mother-in-law Mary Alice Foster of Venice, Fl, his father-in-law Albert L. Campione III of Venice FL, and his nieces and nephews; Sarah and her husband, Kang, Mark, Taylor and her partner, Ryan, Mia, Samuel, Peter, Albert, and great nephew Ryder. Who will miss Tim’s kindness, strength and his love. Tim was welcomed to his heavenly home by the Lord and his parents’ open arms.

Nancy was born and raised in Audubon and graduated from Haddon Twp. High School in 1970. She attended Brandywine College in Wilmington, Delaware where she graduated in 1972 and continued her studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She celebrated 50 years married to her husband Sam on March 22, 2023.
She worked for Value City at the Shore Mall in Egg Harbor Twp. in the Loss Prevention Department for many years.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents Rev. James Robert Watt and his wife Elizabeth Watt (nee Brimfield).
She is survived by her loving husband Sam Cucciniello, her son Christopher Cucciniello (Lauren) of Vineland, NJ, daughter Stephanie Madaris (Tracey) of Albertville, AL and her brother Stephen Watt of Todd, NC. She will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Henk was born in The Hague, Netherlands, where he met Johanna DeNiet, the love of his life. Together, they embarked on a journey that spanned continents and created a lifetime of cherished memories.
Their adventures took them through various cities in the Netherlands before they immigrated to the United States. Henk and Johanna made their homes in Charlotte Harbor, FL, Cherry Hill NJ, Medford NJ, Hudson FL, Mohnton PA, Murphy NC, and Sicklerville NJ, where they embraced each new chapter with enthusiasm and grace.
A savvy and ambitious businessman, Henk, alongside his wife, owned and operated several successful ventures, including De Eenhoorn pharmacy in Zaandam, the Netherlands, the Unicorn gift shop in Charlotte Harbor, FL, Aduard, Inc. in Cherry Hill, NJ and The Dutch Lions at the Renaissance Fair in Manheim, PA. Their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication were the foundation of their success.
Henk was a man of boundless curiosity and a love for the natural world. He found joy in gardening, reading, cooking, dancing, and even took flying lessons during his time in Medford, NJ, only after he promised Johanna that he would take out a life insurance policy. A lifelong vegetarian, he held a deep respect for all living creatures and dedicated his retirement years to volunteering with Hospice, providing comfort and care to those in need.
Together with Johanna and, in earlier years, with their children, Henk explored countless countries, embracing new cultures and experiences with an open heart. His adventurous spirit and zest for life inspired all who knew him.
Henk is predeceased by his parents, Karel and Hillegonda Auwerda, his brother Jan, and his beloved son-in-law, Lawrence Lorino.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Johanna, and their three daughters, Alexandra Lorino, Hester Aldakimov and her husband Phil Ulversoy, and Judy Wilson and her husband Mike.
Henk will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Sully Lorino, Emily, Zachary, and Rachel Aldakimov, Michael, Tyler, and his wife Gina, Nicholas and his wife Sam, and Eric Wilson. Henk was also a proud great-grandparent to Odyn and Weston. Shortly before his passing he was thrilled to learn that he had a great-granddaughter on the way.
Cremation and private services will be held by the family.

He enjoyed building BMX Bicycles and was a passionate Detroit Lions fan that also enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles.
He is predeceased by his father Michael T. Elston.
Surviving is his wife Nicole Elston (nee Curreri), his daughter Regina Lynn, mother Roseann Smith, mother in law Geraldine Singletary, brothers Steven Karge, Zachary Smith and Josuha Elston and sister Jessica Elston. Also survived by his brother in laws and sisters in law, Danielle Culbertson and her husband John, Robert Singletary and his wife Alycia, Phillip Curreri (Mel) as well as many nieces and nephews, Madison, Amiyah, Jack, J.J., John, Jr. Emma, Maddie, Nicolette and Colton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 12:00pm -1:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30pm at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 248 S 1st. Rd. Hammonton, NJ 08037.

She is predeceased by her husband Antonino La Mazza, her parents, Caterina, and Antonino Giacoppo, her in laws, Gaetano and Antonietta La Mazza Siblings Caterina, Giuseppe, Santino, Placido. Son- in- law Jerry Breitzman.
She is survived by her children Guy La Mazza (Loretta), Tina Breitzman and Cathy La Mazza (Marvin) grandchildren Melissa (Brett) and Anton John (Kate) Mike and great grandchildren Jordan Jeri, Kristi, Marylin, Veda, and Jack. Sister-in- laws Flavia La Mazza, Sarina La Mazza, Georgia La Mazza and Brother-in-law Cosmo La Mazza and many loving nieces and nephews.
Antonietta was a resident of a town she fiercely loved for 60 years, her new home, Hammonton. She came to live here with her husband Nino and her three children. She came to join her family in NJ from Messina, Sicily Italy in 1966.
She was a devout catholic and had a deep devotion to Padre Pio, Antonietta was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s/ Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.
She worked as a tailor/seamstress at William B Kessler, Ubia and Castelfor Clothing. Antonietta was a good worker and a friend to all she met. Always caring and giving of her time, opening her home to all her friends. She especially loved her family. A lovely, sweet, gentle soul that graced our lives. Full of energy, she loved to cook celebrating her Italian heritage. She loved all that was green, and it was reciprocated. Her plants were larger than most.
We will always be grateful for her love and laughter which she gave to us. Antonietta knew how to tell and share stories. She was the life of our family parties.
Her family now honors and celebrates her as she passes to her new life.

Anita was born and raised in Hammonton where she lived her whole life. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School class of 1957 and then went on to work at Whitehall-Robbins until its closure.
Anita’s love for her family knew no bounds. Her door on Walnut Street was always open to her family and friends, as well as any one in need at any time. Anita had a passion for taking care of people and was happiest when her home was filled with family and friends. Her greatest joy was when her family were all together around the table enjoying the delicious meals she prepared. Her fondest memories are of the Our lady of Mt. Carmel festival where she volunteered at the food stands from a very young age and then continued to bring her grandchildren each year. She also loved “taking a ride down the road” to play the slots, traveling to Colorado to visit her nieces and to Florida to visit her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her sons Norman W. DeVries and Christopher L. DeVries, her sister Josephine Vohl, and her parents Frank J. and Katherine (nee Schipani) Berenato.
Anita is survived by her daughter Denise Hendrickson and her sons John DeVries and Frank DeVries. She is the loving grandmother of Patrick DeVries, Jason DeVries, Shana (Michael) Deininger, Michael DeVries, Amanda DeVries, Matthew Dreher, Michael Zucconi, and Alexis DeVries. She will be sadly missed by many great grandchildren, especially Kaylyn and A.J., along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barbara is survived by her children Karen Simonsen (Jim) Carol Zarrella (Joe) Joyce Midure (Guy) William Paolello (Terri) and her sister Eleanor Heggan.
She was a loving grandmother Dominic Midure, Joey Zarrella, Kenneth and William Simonsen and Mitchell, Austin and Daniel Paolello. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and her extended family Natalie and Ann. Through the caring and support of her many friends she was able to enjoy life to its fullest.

She was deeply committed in her role as an educator and mentor in the AVID Program (Advancement Via Individual Determination).
Cindy was energetic, kind and had the most generous heart. Her smile was infectious and she laughed easily. She enjoyed many hours cooking with her family and friends, gardening and helping her husband with his business. Her happiest role was that of a wife, mother and mentor. She was a person of deep faith.
She is predeceased by her father Joel Mayes.
Surviving is her husband of 38 years Michael Coleman, daughter Stephanie Coleman, mother Doris Mayes, sisters Karen Watts (Robert), and Joelle Mayes. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
