In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother , Donald. William is survived by his wife, Frances, two sons Donald Lipsett, and Drew, husband of Maureen Lipsett, a daughter, Ruth Ann, wife of Michael Maberry. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam & Alex Maberry, and Luke Lipsett. A Visitation will be held 8:00 to 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 23rd at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. Minersville. Diane was born in Pottsville, Pa. on February 13, 1957, a daughter of the late Mary Louise (Scholtes) and John Lisowski. Diane was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School Class of 1975 as well as Pearl River Jr. College in Hattiesburg, MS. She She was a Licensed Practical Nurse who practiced her profession in many facets of the health care system. Diane is survived by, a son, Edwin, husband of Tracey Houser, two daughters, Kristie, wife of Jason Eichenberg, Kimberly, wife of Mickey Moore. Diane is also survived by three sisters, JoAnn Frey, MaryLou Grigalonis, and Jean Mahall, two brothers, Jack Lisowski and Michael Lisowski. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mason & Caden Houser, Pierce Eichenberg, and Tucker & Finn Moore. Nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her former husband, William ‘Billy’ Houser. She was born September 2, 1930 in Duncott, one of 13 children of the late Peter and Maria (Volosin) Verbosh. Helen was the wife of the late Paul Platko. Helen was a lifelong member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Minersville. She was a member of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She earned her Academy of Friendship Degree at the Pottsville Women of the Moose. Helen loved spending time in the kitchen making delicious food like perogies, halupki’s, haluski and city chicken. She was an avid Bingo player and most of all, she loved her family. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lynn Pielacha. He was a member of the Newtown Fish & Game Club. Adam was a kind, gentle and polite person with a beautiful smile who loved to play the guitar and sing to anyone who would listen. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed taking his son to those special fishing holes. He loved to ride his motorcycle but most of all he loved spending time with his son Elliott who was his pride and joy. Adam will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Sisters, Anna Welkie, Mary Petruncio, Julia Fulmer and a Brother Michael Loyco. She is survived and loved by many nieces and nephews who she treated like her own children. Obituary Preview: Mary Ann A. Holley, 79, of Pottsville passed away Wednesday, January 26, at home in peaceful surroundings with loved ones by her side. She was born to the late Vincent and Agnes (Bauer) Smith on September 24, 1942 in Pottsville. Mary Ann was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High school Class of 1961. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George (Dutch )Holley in 1999, a daughter, Theresa Higgins, infant granddaughter Zoie Marie, as well as her siblings, Agnes Trout, Robert, Joseph, and most recently Edward Smith. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter and caretaker, Deborah Holley-Purcell and her son-in-law, Mark Purcell with whom she resided, along with her adopted son, grandson Mark Holley. A daughter, Mary Ann Holley-Wagner, and a son, John Holley. She had 12 loving grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. She and her daughter Deborah often took trips that strengthened her faith and bond with each other. She loved to visit Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, MD. She also visited the catacombs and truly enjoyed the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. Mary Ann worked for many years at Hills Dept. Store. She often laughed telling stories of how they carried on in the back room recalling fun times with her coworkers. Later in life she worked as an aide caring for students with special needs where she loved helping and making a difference in their lives. She continued her career caring for others in their homes. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure all their needs were met, including making special trips, running errands, and doing small repairs and chores on her days off. Mary Ann had such a compassionate heart and loving spirit. She will be greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, 12:00 pm at Saint John the Baptist Church. Pottsville. She was a former member of the St. Nicholas Seniors, Auxiliary member New Minersville Hose Co.,and the Coalcracker Polka Association. In addition to her parents and her husband, Wassel, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sophie Burdis, Angela Stanchick, Mary Sholansky, Martha King, and. Brothers; Max, Michael, and John Celep. Catherine is survived by a son, Michael D. Postic (Nancy), of Orwigsburg; Catherine is also survived by a sister, Anna Docherty, of Pottsville. Obituary Preview: Arthur "The Ccone" Yannaccone, 76, of Sterling, Kansas, passed away Jan. 12, 2022, at Hospice House of Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born Dec. 29, 1945, in Pottsville, the son of Antonio Arthur and Mary Candelore Yannaccone. Arthur graduated from Minersville High School with the Class of 1963. He has resided in Sterling since 1977, formerly of Minersville. Arthur worked as a barber and a roughneck for Sterling Drilling. He served in the Navy from 1963 until 1966 during the Vietnam War. Arthur was a stagehand and member of the local IATSE. He enjoyed good food, animals, loved sports and was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Arthur was an avid jogger and credits himself for starting the jogging craze. He also loved music and going to concerts "back in the day" with any number of friends old and young. You could find him hanging out in his barber shop on Sunbury Street with his dog, Plato, entertaining customers in between an occasional haircut. He was a "one of a kind," an unforgettable character to all who knew him. On March 31, 1978, Arthur was united in marriage with Barbara Cola in Lyons, Kansas. She survives the home. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Lynch. He is also survived by his two children, Mario Yannaccone and Sarah Yannaccone, both of Sterling. A funeral service was held Jan. 19, 2022, in Sterling. Memorials may be given to Hospice House or the Sterling Public Library in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.

He was the son of the late William J O’Boyle and Loretta (Purcell) O’Boyle. He graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School and worked in the construction industry until his retirement. He was involved as a coach in Little League and was a life time member of the Independent Hose Company. He was a former member of the Minersville Rotary and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved his Phillies! He was an avid reader and loved sitting on the porch socializing with his neighbors. He loved his family and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son William “Billy” in 1967 as well as his sisters Elizabeth and Winifred and his brothers, William, Gervace and Lawrence. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of sixty-eight years Anne Marie (Belmont) O’Boyle as well as his sister Clare Wagner, Pottsville, and brother Robert, Washington, DC. He leaves behind two sons Raymond Jr (Robin) O’Boyle and Daniel (Cindy) O’Boyle and three daughters Kathleen (Michael) Kerick, Barbara (Donald) Kohler and Mary Elizabeth (Dan) Cordle; thirteen grandchildren, Daniel B (Margaret) O’Boyle, Alexandra (Mark) Kalyan, Caitlin (Josh) Neiswender, Samantha Kerick and her fiancé Chris Wood, Kurt (Jenna) Kohler, Kyle (Shannon) Kohler, Cory (Emily) Kohler, Ryne Kessler, Brynne Kessler, Casey O’Boyle, Connor O’Boyle, Hannah O’Boyle, Carly Cordle and nine great grandsons Theo, Ellis and Jude O’Boyle, Mason, Miles and Maverick Kalyan, Everett Kohler, Brandon and Koda Neiswender and a great granddaughter Camille Anne Kohler. Obituary Preview: Frank Trasatt, 98, of Minersville beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully January 9, 2022 at Providence Place Senior Living, Pottsville. Born October 6, 1923 in Minersville, he was the son of Julia (Gattone) and Alexander Trasatt. He attended Minersville School District. Frank was a lifetime member of the Mountaineer Hose Company, Minersville and the American Legion Post 544, Minersville. He was a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church and the former St. Barbara Church, Minersville. Frank was drafted into the United States Army in 1943 during WWII, serving with the 117th Infantry-30th Division nicknamed “Work Horse of the Western Front”. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Army Sharpshooter, American Campaign Medal, European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, U.S. Army Combat Infantry Badge and Purple Heart. Frank started his working career working as a coal miner locally. He later worked for United Metal Receptacle, Pottsville, Newport Homes, Pine Grove and finished his career working with Johannesen Optical, Pottsville before retiring. Frank loved getting together with family for special occasions and holiday dinners. He loved attending sporting events and activities that involved his children and grandchildren. He himself was an avid tennis player and could be found at the Minersville tennis courts every weekend. Frank was a great gardener, handyman and wood finisher. He loved watching tennis and football especially his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. Frank enjoyed wine making with his sons and son-in-law and was always ready to lend a hand or give advice to help his family or friends. He will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years Helen “Ellen” Trasatt in 2020, brothers Attilio, Henry and John; sisters Alvira Freiler and Emma Helman. He is survived by a daughter, Julia, wife of Noble Quandel of Pottsville; two sons, David, husband of Lisa Trasatt of Mohrsville and Philip, husband of Tracey Trasatt, Hamburg. He is also survived by grandchildren, Angela Urban, husband Jerome, Benn Trasatt, wife Erin and Aaron Trasatt, wife Katie. Great grandchildren Jerome and Julia Urban, Arly and Caia Trasatt and Isabella Trasatt. We would like to thank the Providence Place Staff for their kindness over the years and especially his special caretakers Debbie Drummer and Vicki Drawbaugh for treating our dad like family. Sylvia loved being a homemaker and enjoyed watching game shows and classic movies. In addition to her parents andher her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Jerome, Peter, Paul, Russell and Dennis Setlock. As well as three sisters, Severene Prock, Sheila Moser and Sandra Wagner. She is survived by a daughter, Tina. M. Kostura, a son, John III, husband of Simone Kostura. Three brothers, Patrick Setlock, Dal, husband of Karen Setlock, and Donald, husband of Donna Setlock. Two sisters, Sharon, wife of Dave Reeves, and Shirley Kulikosky. Syliva is also survived by a granddaughter, Shardae and great grandchildren, Zoey and Cooper. All services are private. Interment in Columbarium Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

She was six days shy of her 91st birthday. Born and raised in Schuylkill Haven she was the daughter of William and Catherine (nee. McCord) McGlone. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands William Pellish in 1993 and Albert Yonalis in 2012, three brothers Francis, Vincent, and William. She was a member of the former St. Vincent De Paul Church , Minersville. Gladys was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She loved and spoke highly of her sons-in-law; “Cathy’s Joe” and “Nancy’s Joe” as she referred to them. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake. She especially loved to prepare for family get togethers. Family favorites were her apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, chicken pot pie, halupkie and city chicken to name a few. Gladys taught her daughters to be independent and kind but to stick together. Gladys is survived by her daughters Catherine Fabrizio and her husband Joseph of the Philadelphia area, Nancy Sborz and her husband Joseph of Berwick. Grandchildren Antoinette Fabrizio-Barrett of Philadelphia, Dominick Fabrizio of Boston, Aaron Sborz of Shillington and Nicholas Sborz of Virginia, and nine Great Grandchildren Kathryn Barrett, Leo and Parker Fabrizio, Griffin, Eden, and Lillian Sborz, and Payton, Wyatt and Hunter Sborz. A member of Saint Ambrose Church, Schuylkill Haven. George served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a Machine operator at EXXON Chemical and Tredegar Film Products. He was a member of American Legion Post #38 and was formerly a proficient dart shooter. George was an avid sportsman enjoying all aspects of the great outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, & grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Brothers, Emil, James, & Michael Hertz. Sisters, Maryann Muscara & Gloria Walasavage. George is survived by his wife, Janice, two sons, Eric, husband of Karen Hertz, and Andrew, husband of Jill Hertz. Two daughters, Jessica, wife of Steven Glenny, and Jennifer, wife of Brian Schumacher, He is also survived by two sisters, Arlene Reiff, and Betty Mae Hertz. Four brothers, Andrew Hertz, John, husband of Joanne Hertz, Paul, husband of Frances Hertz, Thomas, husband of Marie Hertz George is also survived by his Grandchildren, Zachary, Derek, Caroline, Andrew, and Julia Hertz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Patrick and Guy Antonio, and sisters, Angeline Burke and Concetta Antonio. James is survived by a son, James Jr., husband of Marilynn Antonio, of Palmyra and a daughter, Deborah, wife of Bernard Bulino, of Pottsville; He is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher, Julie, Allen, and Nicholas. Great grandchildren; Noah, Aiden, Trevor, Anna, Jenna, and Erica. Following his retirement he was a bus driver for the Minersville Area School District. Bob was a member of the Newtown Fish & Game Club and Newtown Volunteer Fire Co. Bob truly enjoyed watching his grandchildren play their sport as well driving the numerous athletic teams to their away games. In addition to his parents, and his wife, Carmela, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Geiger, and an infant brother. Bob is survived by two sons Frederick J. Graeff and Robert F. Graeff Jr. He is also survived by grandchildren, Dr. Cassandra Kessler, Emily & Jared Graeff and, Justin Geiger.  A Visitation will be held 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, November 22nd at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. in Minersville. Her parents, her husband, Joseph Malunis and 8 siblings predeceased her. Shirley is survived by her sister, Anita Sausser, Schuylkill Haven, nieces and nephews including her caregiver Gail (Greg) Senich, Llewellyn, Stephen (Maureen) Hribick, Bethlehem, Cindy (Bill) Taylor, Minersville, Judith Major, FL, Greg Sausser, Carlisle, Gary (Elena) Malunis, NY, Glen (Pat) Malunis, Philadelphia ; a step-grandson Glen D. Most of all she was proudest of her Irish heritage! The simplest pleasure in life brought great joy to Kathy. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She was a loving and giving person who was always cooking & baking for friends, family, & neighbors. Most of all she cherished spoiling her 4 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren while finding beauty and adventure in everything she came across. Kathy was immensely proud of her family and was known to be the loudest cheerleader at every event she attended. Preceding her in death were her brother William & sisters Rose Marie & Carol. Also preceding her in death were 2 husbands. John L. Dillow with whom she had 2 sons. and her second husband, Harry Thompson.
