Obituary Preview: Helen E. Sieben was born August 4, 1941, in Chicago, the only child of Joseph and Catherine Sieben.
Helen attended St. Scholastica High School in Chicago.  She graduated from Mundelein College in 1966 with a BS in Mathematics and received her MS in Mathematics from Northwestern University in 1970.
Helen was a member of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago from 1961 to 1999. Early in her career, Helen taught at St. Symphorosa and Queen of All Saints elementary schools.  She taught Mathematics and Physics at St. Scholastica High School in Chicago for 6 years.  Helen spent the next 6 years at St Scholastica Academy in Canon City, CO, where she taught Mathematics, Physics, Theology and Music Appreciation.  She was a musician for the school musicals and student liturgical choir. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Helen was also the Treasurer and Business Manager for the school.  Upon returning to Chicago, Helen took over as Treasurer and Business Manager for St. Scholastica High School and as Treasurer of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago. During this time, she also worked with Christian Brothers Investment Services.  Helen retired in 2004, from Providence-St. Mel School, as Business Manager.
Helen enjoyed traveling, and classical music and delighted in her large Santa Claus collection.   In retirement, she volunteered with Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly in Chicago.
Helen peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023.  She is survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Services will be held at St. Juliana Church. 7201 N. Oketo Ave, (At Touhy) Chicago, IL on Friday, September 22, 2023.  Family and friends may gather at the church at 9:30am. A Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 am.  Interment at All Saints Cemetery.

(Jane) Quinn, and the late Robert Quinn.  Fond daughter of Paul F. and Bernice (nee Peterman) Quinn and Marita (nee Dwyer) Quinn. Fond grandmother to Elisabeth and Katherine Kohnen. Cousin of Catherine and Wally Peterman. Graduate of St. Scholastica Academy in Chicago, St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, and Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Retired from Scott Foresman and Company and her own freelance writing and editing service. Avid theater-goer. Lover of the arts and literature and music of all kinds. World traveler. Enjoyed hiking, biking and the outdoors.
Family and friends will be gathering on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago, 773-631-1240, from 10:00 am until the time of the prayer service at 2:00. Immediately following the prayer service, family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Amici Restaurant, 7620 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles 60714. (North on Northwest Hwy. to Prospect Ave., north to Sibley, east to Amici at Milwaukee Ave.)
The interment will be private.

Obituary Preview: Rosalie Streng, 87, of Park Ridge, formerly of Norwood Park and Edison Park. Died September 13, 2023, at Norwood Crossing in Chicago. She was born to the late Vera, nee Weber, and Irvin Streng. She was a German and English teacher in the district 207 high schools (Desplaines and Park Ridge) for over 30 years. Her mother was raised in Stewardson, Illinois and Rosalie spent many summers with the Weber family which included grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She wrote of fond memories of past days with the family there. She will be buried next to the family at Stewardson Cemetery.  A lifelong member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Norwood Park which merged into Ascension Lutheran Church in Niles, Illinois.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Family and friends gathering at Ascension Lutheran Church, 7429 N, Milwaukee Ave., Niles, Illinois from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral service which will take place at 12:00 pm.
Interment will take place Friday, September 22, 2023, at Stewardson Cemetery in Stewardson, Illinois at 11: 00 a.m.
