Benjamin S. Baird - February 06, 1988 - September 16, 2023

Departed: 09/16/2023 (Champlain)
Obituary Preview: Benjamin Sullivan Baird, age 35, passed away Saturday, September 16th 2023 after a long illness. Ben attended Lake Placid and then Saranac Lake High School, graduating from the latter in 2007. Ben was an unconditionally loving friend to many in his community. He had an infectious smile that had a magical way of reminding others not to take life too seriously and also to be kind to one another. He was an unapologetic flirt, leaving the world with many remaining open-ended marriage proposals. Ben was an aficionado of United States Presidential trivia, with a lifelong goal of visiting all presidential memorial sites. His presidential knowledge was only surpassed by his passion for 90's cartoons, upcoming WrestleMania events, and the latest breakthroughs in the hunt for America's Most Wanted. Ben was a self-proclaimed bowling tycoon and will be remembered as one of the great 'Guess Who' board game sharks of all time. It has often been said that it takes a community to raise a child, and Ben surely was the embodiment for that ideal. More than anything, Ben cherished human connection and the love that he felt from his community. He has been described both as the mayor and town crier as he seemed to have a friend, a memory, and a shared story around every corner. Some of his most joyous times were spent with his closest friends Dierdre, Jessica, Josh, Mary Ann, and Baeleigh. Ben loved his family deeply including his dog, Sully. In his health and throughout his illness, Ben truly was a one-of-a-kind man. As he cut a swath through this world, he served as a constant reminder that we are all a product of the community that nurtures, supports, and loves us. Like all of us, Ben had some great, and then some more challenging days. He reminds us that we need to be there for each other. In the spirit of community, Ben will live on in the memories of the many that he crossed paths with. Ben was predeceased by his younger sister Hannah Elizabeth Baird, and he was laid to rest next to her during a private family service at the Saint Agnes Cemetery. Ben is survived by his parents, Cindy and Stuart Baird III, and his brothers Andrew and Stuart IV. The Baird family is creating a scholarship in Ben's memory. The scholarship will be dedicated to those seeking a career in healthcare, social services, and advocacy. Donations may be mailed to: Lake Placid Central School 50 Cummings Road Lake Placid, New York 12946. The M. B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY is in charge of arrangements. Departed: 12/24/2019 (Champlain)
Obituary Preview: BONNIE JEAN (WOODWARD) WATSON
Bonnie Jean Watson passed away peacefully December 24th after a long illness. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on a hot summer day, July 25, 1950, the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Bromley) Woodward. The sixth of eight children, she was the first redhead among a family of brunettes, but not the last when her red-headed brother Scott was born five years later. She was her father's baby girl who he affectionately called Emma and teased her endlessly about her freckles.
Bonnie was spunky, fiercely loyal, and independent. She was also very dedicated to the tasks in front of her, and a hard worker whether it was school, raising her children, caring for her disabled husband or tending to her patients as a nursing assistant. Her life did not afford her much leisure time, but when she had time she loved to go for rides in her car and visit with her beloved grandsons.
Bonnie was a graduate of Peru Central School, Class of 1969, and worked for more than 20 years as a nursing assistant at Adirondack Medical Center before retiring three years ago due to health reasons. Married to her first husband at age 20, she lived in Puerto Rico where he was stationed with the Air Force. Once discharged from the military, they settled in Pennsylvania where her sons were born. After the marriage dissolved, she moved to Lake Placid in 1980 to be closer to family.
Bonnie met and married Raymond (Che Che) Watson on August 29, 1987 in Lake Placid. Although Ray became disabled early in their marriage, they were lovingly dedicated to each other and enjoyed several years together. Ray also became the loving father to Bonnie's sons.
Bonnie is survived by her two sons, Chad (Marcia) Flyte of Jay, NY and Terry (Bly) Flyte of Lake Placid. She is also survived by her three grandsons who were the light and love of her life, Nathanial, Chase and Ridge Flyte of Lake Placid.
Bonnie is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Breen Randall and her husband Craig of Lake Placid, and four brothers, Frank (Kathy) Woodward of Plattsburgh, NY, Robert (Gloria) Woodward of Albany, NY, Barnard (Sue) Woodward of Murrieta, CA and Todd (Denise) Woodward of St. Albans, VT. Seven nephews and four nieces also survive as well as many cousins.
Besides her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Watson, her sister, Beverley Sprague, and brother, Scott Woodward.
Calling hours will be held Monday, December 30th at 6 p.m. at M. B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home in Lake Placid, NY followed by a Prayer service at 7 p.m. Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Felice McIntyre - September 23, 1944 - December 23, 2019

Departed: 12/23/2019 (Champlain)
Obituary Preview: Félice L. McIntyre of Wilmington, NY passed away in the ICU at Adirondack
Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY on December 23, 2019 at the age of 75. She was born in Havana, Cuba to Arden E. DuBois and Lucille A. (Wolfe) DuBois on September 23, 1944. Her father serving in the US Foreign Service gave her the opportunity to live in a number of foreign countries as she grew up – Brazil, Honduras, Mexico, and Berlin, Germany before moving to Fairfax, VA, where she graduated from Fairfax High School in 1963. She attended Ohio University where she studied Interior Design, American University where she studied oil painting and North Country Community College where she studied
watercolor. Félice was an accomplished artist excelling in many mediums – oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and a multitude of crafts. She was particularly noted for her pencil portraits. Her mastery of the culinary arts sated and nourished many of the hearts and stomachs of the North Country. The person who benefitted most from this gift was her husband, Patrick F. McIntyre, whom she
married on June 21, 1969 in Fairfax, VA. She was especially proud, when they moved to Wilmington, NY in 1976, of the fieldstone home she and her husband built by themselves from the footings to the top plate. Her pluck and fortitude were on display in the mixing of 86 cubic yards of cement for the walls and helping to frame out the second floor and pull electric wire throughout the house. Neither one of them had so much
as seen a house built before this grand adventure. She is survived by her husband, Patrick; brother and sister-in-law, Marc and Pat DuBois; her favorite niece and nephew-in-law, Laurel and Steve Riehs; and nephews David Dubois and wife Kris; Michael Dubois and wife, Rachel; and
Vincent DuBois; and numerous grand nephews and nieces. Félice will be cremated and be interred near her grandparents in Pleasant View
Cemetery in Wilmington. A celebration of her life will take place in the spring. Please consider making a donation in her memory to the local Salvation Army
Office at 4804 S Catherine St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. ["It's not as important what we leave behind as how we have lived." Found
