Obituary Preview: Susan D. Hendricks, age 55, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her residence in Hanover, Indiana. Born September 26, 1963 in Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Robert Gene and Betty (Kyle) Handlon. She graduated in 1981 from Trimble County High School in Kentucky. For eleven years, she managed Davis Nursery's shop on Clifty Drive and then worked at Pride Supermarket in Hanover. On June 24, 1989, she was united in marriage to Robert W. Hendricks in Milton, Kentucky. She loved crocheting, reading, making crafts-jewelry and caring for her many cats.. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert Hendricks of Hanover; her sons: Cody Hendricks and his wife, Mary of Hanover and Nathan Hendricks of Hanover; her brother, Randall Handlon of Milton. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Wood Oakley Chapel, 37 High Street, Milton, KY with interment to follow in Moffett Cemetery. Born February 4, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky, he was the son of Roger and Wilma Jo (Hargis) Hollis. Mr. Hollis was a 1957 graduate of Boone County, Kentucky High School. He was known for his keen sense of humor and in his earlier years, loved to drive his sports cars, especially his Camero. He will be sadly missed by two brothers: Dave Hollis of Bedford and William Hollis of Union, Kentucky; and four sisters: Jo Miller of Springfield, Missouri, Ruth Town of Florence, Kentucky, Janelle Moellman of Warsaw, Kentucky, and Ava Centers of Walton, Kentucky. She was born November 13, 1953 in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of Rollie and Marjorie (Cotty) Mitchell. Mrs. Martin formerly owned and operated Kathy's Kitchen in Milton, and managed the kitchen at the VFW Post # 1969 in Madison. She also worked as a waitress at the former Steer Restaurant in Madison, and was currently employed in the housekeeping department of King's Daughters' Hospital. She was a member of the VFW Post #1969 and American Legion Post #9, Madison. She enjoyed cooking and working. On November 11, 1999, she married Garry Lee Martin in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She will be sadly missed by her husband; one daughter, Jeannie Newman and her husband, Tyler of Greenwood, Indiana; three sons: Colby Brown and his wife, Kim of Clarksville, Indiana, Shane Weldishofer of Plant City, Florida, and Buster Halcomb, Jr. of Jasper, Indiana; two step-daughters: Angela Cox and her husband, Bill of Hamilton, Ohio, and Jennifer Craig and her husband, David of Scottsburg, Indiana; two step-sons: Allan Martin and his wife, Aurora of Westchester, Ohio, and Scott Martin of Milton; one sister, Nina Mitchell of Bedford, Kentucky; one brother, Ronnie Mitchell of Nashville, Tennessee; one half-sister, Betty Paul of Canaan, Indiana; and several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Obituary Preview: Ruth Ann Church, age 67, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Signature Health Care of Trimble County in Bedford. Born August 9, 1949 in Mountain View, Arkansas, she was the daughter Houston and Helen (Workman) Prince. Mrs. Church moved to Trimble County in 1988 and worked as a seamstress for Louisville Sada in Eminence, Kentucky. Prior to that, she worked for Virco Manufacturing Corporation in Conway, Arkansas. She loved to sew and knit, play Bingo and cards, and cook. She helped raise her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by one daughter, Sharon Church of Louisville. Kentucky; two sons: Michael Beatty of Louisville, and Daniel Beatty of Edinburgh, Indiana; one brother, Robert Prince of Milton; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Church, who died on September 14, 2014, and to whom she was married for twenty-eight years; one son, Stoney Bird in 2015; and one sister, Janice McDole in 2008. Memorial services will be held at a later date and notice of the time and place will be published. He had formerly been employed in Madison with the former Pearl Packing Company, the former glue factory, and retired in 1990 as a fork-lift operator at Rotary Lift Corp. (now Vehicle Service Group.) He enjoyed "tinkering" around his home. He will be sadly missed by one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip H. and Honey Bolton, Lexington; two sisters: Marie Tandy of Marietta, Georgia and Julia Sturgill of Brookville, Florida; one step-grandson, William Cook; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, the former Mary Beatrice Perry on December 25, 2009, and to whom he was married in 1948. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
