Obituary Preview: Bobby Wray Coe, 88, of Ramseur, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Friday, February 25, 2022, at Parks Crossroads Christian Church, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Todd Nance, Rev. Randy Kelley, Rev. Ransom Love.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Bobby was a native of Surry County and a longtime resident of Randolph County. He graduated from Ramseur High School and served from 1952-1955 during the Korean War in the U.S. Coast Guard and was proud of his service and proud of his country. He was a hard working man who often worked two jobs to provide for his family. Having started life on a tobacco farm, he learned early on the work ethic of his parents. Bobby had a long career of about 60 years in the textile industry working both as a fixer at Bossong Hosiery, then as a supervisor at Asheboro Hosiery for 21 years and Texfi Industries until they closed down and Wells Hosiery. He worked at many textile companies during his career and developed lasting friendships with his bosses, including Sam Cranford and Tony Smith. He was a member of Parks Crossroads Christian Church. Bobby and Kathy would have been married 53 years in May. They loved to travel, go out to eat and spend time with their daughter, Alison in Nashville, TN. Bobby loved his family and his daughter with all of his heart and was proud of her. He was a dedicated Republican and was a precinct chairman for 50 years and was honored in 2020-2021 with the Bill Horton Volunteer Award. Bobby was also a die-hard fan of NASCAR Racing following it all of his adult life. He always pulled for any car Richard Petty had in the race. Bobby loved cars and trucks and was very mechanically minded. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Wray Coe and parents, Roby Wilson and Irene McCraw Coe.
Survivors: wife, Kathy Presnell Coe, of the home, daughter, Alison Coe, of Knoxville, TN., sister, JoAnne Holmes and husband, Harold, of Ramseur, nephews, Richard Coe Holmes, James Harold Holmes, Jr.,  Richie Holmes and special nephew, Chris Holmes, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Alice enjoyed traveling all over the United States and went to Egypt, Italy, and Ireland. She loved scrapbooking and going to thrift stores. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, William Madison and Louise Coker Allred, brothers, Franklin Allred, Billy Allred, Doyle Allred and sister-in-law, Ratchanee Allred..

Linda was a native of Randolph County and a lifelong resident of Ramseur. She was a 1960 graduate of Ramseur High School where she was a cheerleader and was formerly employed by Teleflex. Linda was a member of Liberty Road Baptist Church. She was a generous and loving person who loved to "pick" with her co-workers. Linda was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time at the beach. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all of her heart. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Mary Lois Stout Simmons, and her brother, Mickey Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Poole Ore, his parents, Clyde and Primmie Merritt Ore, and brothers, Elbert Ore and Leonard Ore.

John was born to Arthur Vernon "Cap" and Mabel Burrow on November 14, 1957. He was a loving and kind son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He was very bold in his love for God and his Christian faith. John and his wife Elizabeth operated their own landscaping company for 15 years. Later, he went to work as an assistant day program director attending disabled adults at Therapeutic Alternatives, Inc., the assisted living business that his parents founded when he was a small child. John was the proud father of his son, Tyler and his "baby girl" Heather. He was the best husband and father. In October of 2019, John had a complete heart blockage which required the placement of a pacemaker and left him hospitalized for 28 days. Due to the long recovery, John had to retire from the work that he loved so much. He spent his last two years loving his family and telling people daily of all that God had done for him. John was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Vernon and Mabel Smith Burrow, and brother, David Burrow.
Survivors: wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Gatlin Burrow, of the home, daughter, Heather Burrow, of the home, son, Tyler Burrow, and wife, Tiffany, of Asheboro, sisters, Lou Wilson and Anita Deaton, both of Randleman, brothers, Clayton Burrow, of Seagrove, and Kenny Burrow, of High Point.

She dearly loved the Lord and her family. She also loved her church family at Tyson's Creek Baptist Church where she was a member. Karen had a passion for working in her flowers and in her father's garden. She loved traveling with her husband and family, loved the outdoors and loved to dance.

Ronnie was born in Chatham County and a longtime resident of Randolph County and a member of Staley United Methodist Church. He worked for Boling Chair Company for 34 years. In his youth, Ronnie was a very talented rollerskater. He also enjoyed yearly beach trips with his mother, and the many shows they took in on those occasions. Ronnie was a loyal, devoted son. He was preceded in death by his mother,  Mary Lee Allred Rogers, and his father, Lemuel "Junior" Rogers.
Survivors: aunt, Betty Allred Owen, of Staley and many cousins.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the caregivers of Siler City Center for their exceptional care. While there, Ronnie showed fortitude and grace, and received kindness and compassion. Also a special thanks to Jackie White.

Floyd was employed as a fixer for Klopman Mills and retired from Ramtex after 47 years of loyal service. He was a member of Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Floyd was a loyal and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He always put God first in everything. Floyd worked hard, was a peacemaker, and always had a smile for everyone. He truly lived out his Testimony on a daily basis. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Scotton Hughes, his son, Johnny Lynn Hughes, and parents, Marvin and Dorothy Wood Hughes.
