Geralene Verna was born to Walter and Gertrude (Steinborn) Teschendorf on February 25, 1940. She completed school through the 9th grade. She married the love of her life, Floyd on October 30, 1956, in Le Sueur, Minnesota. Together they raised their five children. Geri worked in Alexandria at Knute Nelson, Country Inn, and did sales for several organizations. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, camping, and playing games. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, and she will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Gertrude; sister, Sandy Neilson; and sons, Steven and Keith Buck.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Floyd Buck; daughters, Kathy Zarb, Susan Webb, and Tracy Hamari; sisters, Delpha Passon and Marilyn Lund; brothers, Larry, Dennis, and Rick Teschendorf; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, at St. Mary of the Lake Church in White Bear Lake. Interment will take place at the church cemetery with full military honors.
Katherine Esther was born on January 15, 1970, to Kenneth and Linda (O’Connell) LaBore in St. Paul. She grew up in Wyoming, Minnesota and graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1988. Following her graduation, Katie enlisted in the United States Navy. She was united in marriage to Richard Forster on June 7, 1989, at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom. Katie was honorably discharged in 1990. She was blessed with two daughters, Kaila and Emily. She returned to school and completed her Veterinary Technician degree. Together they raised their family in North Branch area, where for 10 years she drove bus for the high school. Katie loved animals, rescuing many from local shelters. She was known for being a good cook and enjoyed crocheting. Katie also enjoyed fishing with her father, sometimes catching more than he did.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; and niece, Emma Cleveland.
Katie is survived by her two daughters, Kaila (Sam Levitus) Forster of Hugo and Emily (Karl) Zabinski of Andover; parents, Kenneth and Linda LaBore of Backus; granddaughter, Gemma Zabinski; sister, Denise (Joel) Cleveland of Lakeville; niece, Rachel Cleveland of Chicago, Illinois; and special friend, Gary Oberg of Alexandria.

Vivian "Margie" Margaret Thoreson - December 02, 1940 - October 01, 2021

Obituary Preview: Vivian “Margie” (Luczak) Thoreson, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, with her family by her side.
Vivian Margaret was born in Duluth on December 2, 1940, the youngest of ten children to Anthony and Agnes (LaBuda) Luczak. Her mother died during childbirth, so, Margie, at the age of 80 years old, has now met her mother for the first time.
Margie graduated from Central High School in 1959. Following her education, Margie had four children and while raising them, worked in the Library of Proctor High School.   After a 35 + year career working, she retired in 2006, but never lost touch with all her wonderful PHS friends.  She was lovingly referred to as “Mrs. T” by many generations of PHS students.
Family, Friends and Faith were what mattered most to Margie. A member of United Lutheran Church, she cherished her church family and time spent with “The Quilters”.  She was blessed to be part of a large close-knit family. Gatherings with her sisters “The Gidgets” and large extended family were frequent, lively, and fun!  She was the “Best Mom Ever” and there was nothing on this earth she loved more than her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Stella (Erickson) Luczak; brothers, Chester Luczak and Lenard (Fern) Luczak; sisters, Lucille (Robert) Zimbeck, Phyllis (LeRoy) Peterson, and Bernice “Dodo” (Leo) Zelazny; brother-in-law, Calvin Bohren; and stepbrothers, Donald (Joan) Erickson and Thomas Erickson.
Margie is survived by her son, Kenneth (Meg) Thoreson; three daughters, Karen (Mark) Frey, Kristine Thoreson (whom fondly referred to Margie as her “significant mother”) and Kathryn (Fred) Klokonos; four grandchildren, Olivia Frey, Maria (Travis) Murphy, Freddie Klokonos and Varon Klokonos; four sisters, Patty (Don) Parzych, Marie Luczak, Gerry Bohren, and Audrey (Jerry) Michelizzi; sister-in-law, Helen Luczak; stepsister-in-law, Leif Erickson; along with many beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Arvold and Dr. Sandy Popham for countless years of excellent care, the caring staff at Fresenius Kidney Center and the amazing ICU team on 6 West of St. Luke’s Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2021, at United Lutheran Church of Proctor with the Rev. Elizabeth Davis presiding.  Music will be provided by pianist, Dennis Palm. Please honor all Covid mandates, including wearing a mask. Private interment will take place at Polish Catholic Cemetery, Duluth.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.
Everyone is invited to the Proctor Moose Lodge for a time of lunch and fellowship immediately following services at the church.

William "Bill" K. Moerke - August 26, 1941 - September 27, 2021

A visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m., concluding with a 6 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Rev. Michael Neumann officiating.
Interment will take place at 1 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis with full military honors.
William Kenneth was born on August 26, 1941, to George and Clara (Soland) Moerke in Donnelly. He attended elementary school in Donnelly and graduated from Morris High School in 1959. Bill joined the U.S. Air Force in 1959, and was stationed in Duluth repairing radios and loading planes with munitions. Following his honorable discharge, he was united in marriage to Janice Befort on June 26, 1965, at the Catholic Church in Fountain, Minnesota. Bill’s working career began at Sperry/Unisys in St. Paul, later transferring to Clear Lake, Iowa. They returned to the Twin Cities where he worked for a security system company until his retirement. Bill and Janice moved to rural Evansville where they lived and enjoyed traveling to Texas, Arizona, and Florida to visit family. Later they moved to Diamond Willow and Windmill Ponds in Alexandria. Bill was an avid woodworker. He also loved the outdoors, where he spent time hunting and fishing.
He was preceded death by his parents; and sister, Donna.
Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice; son, Daniel (Carolyn) Moerke of Brookings, South Dakota; daughter, Jill Moerke of Carlos; five grandchildren, Hannah Moerke, Allison Moerke, Emma Moerke, Lucas Magnuson, and Julia Magnuson; sister, Beverly (Lance) Daby of Northville, Michigan, wintering in Florida; brother, Gary (Sherry) Moerke of Punta Gorda, Florida; brother-in-law, Anthony Schelonka of Carmel, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his family.

Mike was born on April 30, 1960, to Norman and Mavis (Martinson) Forkrud in Granite Falls. He was baptized at Opdal Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Mike attended Clara City Public Schools and graduated from high school in 1978. He attended Willmar Technical College and earned a degree in business agriculture. Mike was a lifelong farmer and had a passion for the land. He had a wide circle of friends and wherever he went, he knew someone and always had time for a lively conversation and a lot of laughs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman; grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mike is survived by his partner, Connie Bode of Starbuck; mother, Mavis Forkrud of Alexandria; and two sisters, Rhonda Forkrud of Miltona and Shelly Forkrud of Golden Valley.

A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., concluding with a 5 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Pastor Patrick Herzog officiating. Music will be provided by Nolan Weisz. Full military honors accorded by the Minnesota Honor Guard, American Legion Post #87, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #936, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #235, and the Marine Corps League Detachment #1409.
Marsha Rae was born on August 7, 1947, to Kermit and Edythe (Malmgren) Westad in Parkers Prairie, MN. She graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1965, and continued her education at St. Luke’s Nursing School in Duluth graduating as a registered nurse (RN) in 1968. After graduating, Marsha proudly served as a nurse in the Ohio National Guard in the 164th Tactical Fighter Squadron. Her civilian nursing career took her across the country from Minnesota, Ohio, Colorado, and Arkansas where she met her future husband. She married Martin Glen Andrade on June 14, 1980 at the Old Mill Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The couple had two boys, Martin Jr. and Matt. They moved ten times in ten years with Marty’s military career. Following his retirement from the military, the family returned to Minnesota, residing in Alexandria on Lake Le Homme Dieu. In her storied career as a nurse, Marsha specialized in a multitude of roles ranging from ER, Cardiac Care Unit, ICU, Flight Nurse, and disaster relief. She proudly served with the Red Cross following Hurricane Katrina. After retiring from nursing she owned and operated "Somewhere in Time" Antiques in Alexandria. She had a talent and a passion for restoring antique frames to their original form. She was an excellent cook, known for her double fudge and mincemeat pies, and had an ability to make a meal from just about anything she had available. She lived life to the fullest, was a very giving person and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Albert Reed McKay; and sisters, Sonja Bonita and Judith Ann Westad.
Marsha is survived by her husband of 41 years, Martin Andrade; two sons, Martin (Shawna) Andrade Jr. and Matt Andrade; grandson, Kyle; a great-grandchild; three sisters, Kathy (Paul) Peterson, Barbara (Tom) Schultz, and Carol (Jerry) Larson; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was born on August 1, 1938, to Julius and Clara (Gjerdingen) Hendrickson in Fergus Falls.  His family moved to Thief River Falls when he was 13 years old.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in the Class of 1956.  Following his education, Jerry married his high school sweetheart, Arlys Hanson. He began working at the Gambles Store in Thief River Falls and later sold insurance.  In 1969, Jerry and Arlys purchased Poppler’s Furniture and Carpeting, where Jerry spent the remainder of his working years.  In his last 20 years at Poppler's, Jerry had the pleasure of working with his son, Jeff. While living in Thief River Falls, Jerry served on countless community and church boards. He also served in the Army National Guard of Minnesota.  Jerry and Arlys moved to Alexandria in 1992, and were members of the Alexandria Covenant Church. The foundation of Jerry’s life was his faith in God, family, and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jerry enjoyed spending family time at the lake, traveling with Arlys, and golfing and games with family and friends. He was a positive person with a light-hearted soul. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Embert, and infant daughter, Lori.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Arlys; three children, Kristi (Randy) Mikkelson of Plymouth, Jeff (Nancy) Hendrickson of Bemidji, and Nancy (Pete) Friedrichsen of Andover; six grandchildren, Carisa Hendrickson, Brett (Kimberly) Mikkelson, Cami (Keith) Eckhoff, Jenna (Matt) Griffith, Joseph Friedrichsen and Garret Friedrichsen; four great-grandsons, Tyson, Bennett, Graham, & Miles Eckhoff; two sisters, Adeline McElroy and Sharon (Richard) Olson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

Michael John was born on December 28, 1945, to Lloyd and Margaret (Diederich) Syverson in Benson. He was raised on a farm near Kerkhoven where he attended school. Mike was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. After high school graduation in 1963, he spent four years in the Air Force working on the navigation systems of F4 fighter aircraft. He was stationed in Texas, Mississippi, California, Alaska, Thailand, and the Philippines. Following his honorable discharge, Mike attended Willmar Junior College from 1967-1969, and Southwest Minnesota State College in Marshall from 1969 until his graduation in 1971. Mike began working for the Social Security Administration in 1971, as a claims representative in Elgin, Illinois. He also worked in Aurora, Chicago and Austin, Minnesota before moving to Alexandria as office manager in 1995. Mike was united in marriage to Jane Heiling on June 9, 1972, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willmar.  To this union, a son, Matthew Michael was born on June 11, 1990, in Austin. Following retirement in 2010, and receiving many awards, Mike continued his community service.
He was a member of the Austin Early Risers Kiwanis Club for eight years and the Alexandria Noon Club for eight years as well.  He was a member of the Alexandria Golden K Kiwanis Club since March of 2010, where he was an advisor and founder of the Vikingland Aktion Club, past president, board member and secretary.  Mike was very active in the community as he had a passion to help others including volunteering at the Alex Food Shelf, as a tax preparer, delivering Meals on Wheels, Let’s Go Fishing, Caring and Sharing, and as a lunch buddy to several elementary school boys.  Mike was a past president and board member of the Douglas County DAC, past Lake Victoria Association board member and president and past St. Mary’s School Trust Fund board member and president. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Church where he served as communion minister, greeter, and different committees as needed. His hobbies included reading, gardening, fishing, hunting, and doing what he could to preserve the natural environment.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Mary Anne; brother, Donald; and brother-in-law, Jack Masters.
Mike is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane; son, Matthew (very significant, Courtney Keel) Syverson of Toledo, Ohio; sister, JoAnn Masters of Granite Falls; sister-in-law, Terri Syverson of Kerkhoven, other relatives and a host of friends.

Dakota Scott was born on July 4, 1996, to Scott and Virginia “Jenny” (Ross) Suchy in Isanti. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 2014. Dakota continued his education at Alexandria Technical College where he graduated with a degree in welding. While he was in school, he worked at Powers Manufacturing. Following his degree, he moved to Isanti where he worked for Metal Coatings. Dakota later returned to Powers Manufacturing in Alexandria where he worked until his death. His hobbies included building model airplanes, four-wheeling, and hunting. Dakota loved to work and repair anything with an engine. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and telling stories.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ken and Audrey Ross.
Dakota is survived by his parents, Scott and Jenny Suchy of Isanti; two sisters, Stevie Rae Suchy and Sienna Suchy both of Isanti; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Sue Suchy of Alexandria; along with many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Mount Carmel Ministries Chapel in Alexandria with Pastor Steve Walswick officiating. Music is provided by pianist, Mary Aalgaard and vocalist, Joy Ciaffoni. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery, Alexandria.

Janet Irene Schafer was born on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1936, to Leo and Iva (Tysver) Schafer in Hazen, North Dakota. Jan decided to commit her life to the Lord at the age of 16, and by God’s grace she stayed committed and continued to grow in her Christian faith throughout the years. Following her graduation from Hazen High School, she attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis and graduated in 1957. Jan returned to Hazen for a short period of time where she was employed as a secretary at a law firm. She moved to Illinois briefly where she was an editorial assistant at a Christian magazine for adults and children. In 1958, she moved to Alexandria where she served at First Lutheran Church as the church secretary and youth leader. On November 25, 1961, she married Ray Beilke and together they farmed near Carlos for many years. They adopted two boys and raised them on the farm. They enjoyed producing and selling specialty crops and forming many relationships in the process. Jan enjoyed being very active with church, teaching Sunday school for 30 years in addition to serving on the church council for many years. She led numerous women’s Bible studies for over 40 years and always found that the more she studied it, the more she realized there was so much more to learn. She was an avid reader and enjoyed discussing books. Her friends and family were very important to her, and she was especially proud of her two sons.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Jan is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray Beilke; two sons, Joel (Julie Johnson) Beilke of Duluth and Neil Beilke of Miltona; grandson, Mac; sister, Joanne (Thor) Thompson of Brocket, North Dakota; brother, Jerry (Ardella) Schafer of Mt. Vernon, Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

Amanda Lee Perlinger was born on June 20, 1985, in Austin, Texas. Her family moved to Minnesota when she was four months old settling in Rice, Minnesota at the age of six. She graduated from Sauk Rapid-Rice High School in 2003. Amanda continued her education at the Central Lakes Community College in Staples, where she earned her degree in graphic arts and design. In addition to completing her education, she also met her future husband, Gordon Schmidt. The couple was married on April 25, 2009, in Nelson. Together they were blessed with two children, Isaac and Aubrey. Amanda moved home with her parents when Gordon was deployed and upon his return they moved to Starbuck. She worked for FAST (formerly WASP) for five years before the family returned to Gordon’s homeplace near Parkers Prairie in 2013. During her career she worked in shipping and receiving for ERC, Daniel’s Foods and most recently Brenton Engineering. Amanda was hardworking, a benevolent smart-ass, and had a unique smirky smile that complimented her jokester personality. She enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, fishing, swimming, traveling, and playing video games with her husband and friends. She was also very artistic and loved to draw and paint. Amanda was a caring daughter, loving big sister, and a wonderful wife and mother to her family and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Betty Kneisl; maternal grandparents, Elroy and Charlotte Brooks; and grandparents-in-law, Gordon and Arlene Schmidt.
Amanda is survived by her husband of 12 years, Gordon; children, Isaac and Aubrey; parents, Todd and Michelle Sand; sisters, Breanna Sand and Janie Perlinger; brother, Brennan Sand; paternal grandfather, Larry Kneisl; father-in-law, Michael Schmidt; mother-in-law, Diann (Glen) Herdman; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Cassandra Angel was born on June 27, 1991, in Hastings and adopted by Carter and Charlotte Schmidt of Alexandria.  She attended New Testament Christian School and graduated in 2009.  Cassie was united in marriage to Dustin Kolasa on April 2, 2011, at Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood.  Following their marriage, they moved to Fargo where she raised her two boys, Clark and Oliver. She was an avid photographer, loved to cook, and especially enjoyed taking trips to Duluth.  Cassie loved hockey whether it be the Fargo Force or the Minnesota Wild, along with the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.  She loved all animals, but especially horses.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Char Schmidt in 2018.
Cassie is survived by her husband of 10 years, Dustin; two sons, Clark and Oliver; father, Carter (Phyllis) Schmidt of Alexandria; six brothers, Christopher (Tiffany) Schmidt of Garfield, Kevin Schmidt of Rosemount, Daniel (Dawn) Schmidt of Nelson, Nicholas Schmidt of Fargo, Travis Schmidt of Alexandria, and Troy Howe of Glenwood; three sisters, Caryn (Kevin) Schutz of Alexandria, Olivia Kinsley of Duluth, and Tiffany Lynn Schmidt of Alexandria; parents-in-law, Thomas and Dianna Kolasa of Corcoran; brother-in-law, Travis (Kayla) Kolasa of Rogers; two sisters-in-law, Marisa (Montel) Adams of Brooklyn Park and Amanda Kolasa of Corcoran; along with many nieces and nephews.

Mike was the husband everyone dreams of, the father everyone wishes they had and a proud, loving papa. He always put other’s needs and happiness over his own. His wit, humor and dad jokes will forever be missed.
Mike was lucky to have been married to the love of his life, Diane, for 41 years. They got to wake up everyday and go live their dream together at the Ashby Resort for 20 years. The happiest he ever was, was when he was spending time with his family. He loved a lot of things but being grandpa, “Papa” was his favorite. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He was able to share so many cherished memories with them all.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Jenny; son, Tom (Krystal); five grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Daniel, Jordyn, and Zander; siblings, Roger (Suzie), Bobbie (Jim), John (Mary Jo), and Debbie (Clayton); and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws, all of which he loved dearly.

Nancy Lee Wolf was born on August 2, 1945, to Harold and Mabel (Brunk) Wolf in Sheldon, Iowa. She spent most of her childhood on the family’s Wolf’s Resort in Grove Lake, Minnesota. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1963. She married Mander Lloyd Thompson in February of 1964 at the Glenwood Lutheran Church. The couple raised their two children in Glenwood. Their marriage ended in 1980 and Nancy remarried Donald LeRoy Wichers on August 8, 1981, at the Glenwood Lutheran Church. They continued living in Glenwood before the couple began traveling with Don’s business, Donald’s Tree Stump Removal. After being on the road for many years they finally settled in Garfield where they both lived out their remaining days. In addition to providing secretarial duties for Don’s business, Nancy worked for the Walmart Corp. for over 25 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching birds, raising flowers, and above all spending time with her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Mabel Wolf; husband, Donald Wichers on March 24, 2016; and brother, Rodney Wolf.
Nancy is survived by her two children, Kelly A Thompson of Sartell and Michael (Kimberly Sicheneder) Thompson of Cologne; grandchildren, Josef (Fiancée, Morgan Zakrajshek) Thompson and Kelsie (Michael) Fisher; and twin great-granddaughters, Mikala, Maelee, and Great-Grandson Mander.

Scott Alan was born on February 21, 1981, to Delmer and Elizabeth (Koch) Hanson in Litchfield and was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Scott attended Voyager Elementary School and Jefferson High School in Alexandria graduating in 2000. Following his graduation, he began working at the Alexandria Opportunities Center (AOC) working various jobs up until the time of his passing. Scott was known for his smile that rarely ever left his face. He was well known to many people and those who did loved him dearly. As an easy-going person, he loved spending time with just about anyone, however, he enjoyed spending time with his family most.  His hobbies included camping, attending demolition derbies and car races, going out to eat (especially Pizza Ranch), watching softball league in Nelson, and dancing at weddings and birthday parties.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delmer; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Fern Koch; paternal grandparents, Harry and Viola Hanson; and several aunts and uncles.
Scott is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Loren) Burdorf of Villard; sister, Lisa (Mike) Erickson of Nelson; step-sisters, Amy (John) Kiehn of Alexandria, Patti Burdorf of Alexandria, Jennifer (Dale Tong) Burdorf of Monticello, Karen (Bob) Hengel of Sauk Rapids, and Kim (Lance) Denny of Brainerd; step-brothers, David (Tammy Zeithamer) Burdorf of Starbuck and Mike (Casey Sandven) Burdorf of Elk River; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria. Full military honors accorded by the Minnesota Honor Guard. Interment will take place following the service at Grace Southside Cemetery, in South Haven.
Visitation will take place beginning at 11 a.m., until the time of the 1 p.m., service on Tuesday.
Craig Larry Oberg was born on February 14, 1972, to Larry and Ruth (Dokken) Oberg in Litchfield.  Craig graduated from Annandale High School in 1990, where he was active in football, basketball, baseball, and choir. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and was deployed to South Korea after basic training for 12 months.  Craig served as a 71D, legal specialist at Camp Howze, South Korea and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.  He returned to the United States and married Melissa Carlen on April 25, 1992.  Twin daughter and son, Kaylyn and Cameron, were born on August 23, 1993, while Craig was stationed at Leavenworth, Kansas.  After four years of service, Craig was honorably discharged and graduated with a drafting degree.  Shortly after earning his degree, Craig began, and remained, in his career as a draftsman at Ringdahl Architects in Alexandria.  Craig was a loyal father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.  He enjoyed watching his children’s many activities as they grew up.  Craig had an easy-going, inviting smile that drew others to him.  Over the years, he enjoyed sports, hunting, playing volleyball, golf and traveling with friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Johnson, maternal grandparents, Justin and Hazel Dokken, and paternal grandparents, Bud and Muriel Oberg.
Craig is survived by his children, Kaylyn Oberg of St Paul and Cameron Oberg, stationed in South Korea and his wife, Brigitte Johnson of Grand Forks, North Dakota; grandson, Atlas Oberg, father, Larry Oberg of Hutchinson; sister, Charlene (Bob) Hasz of Kasson, step-father Arlen Johnson of Waite Park, step-siblings, Debra (Russ) Engelman, Sandra (Jim) Landwehr, Karen (Thad) Hedlund, and Jim (Julie) Johnson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, whom he considered extended family.

Peter Jon was born on November 6, 1960, in Alexandria to Dean and Kathryn (Foslien) Christopherson. He grew up in Alexandria where he attended public school.  Peter along with his high school sweetheart, D’Vee graduated from Jefferson High School in 1979. They were united in marriage on February 10, 1979, just prior to graduation, at the United Methodist Church in Alexandria.  Following his education, Peter worked at G.C.I., in Garfield as a machinist, where he could make absolutely anything. Due to ill health, Peter was forced to retire early.  He enjoyed driving tractor, mowing the lawn, fishing, cutting wood and camping.  Family was his top priority, and his grandkids were always his favorite.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
Peter is survived by his wife of 42 years, D’Vee; sons, Tim (Amy) Christopherson of Garfield and Jon (Kate) Christopherson of Alexandria; daughter, Leah (Gary) Dalluge of Brandon; six grandchildren, Kya and Dakota Christopherson, Lydia and Anna Christopherson, and Kolton and Andi Dalluge; four sisters,  Sandy (Jerry) Antes of Stacy, Wanda (Dave) Hawkins of Bozeman, Montana, Linda (Bruce) Jacobson of Pinson, Alabama and, Sara (Kendall) Kramer of Novato, California; two brothers, Paul (Ellen) Christopherson of Bruno and David (Michelle) Christopherson of Michigan City, Indiana; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry Lee Jensen was born on November 18, 1947, to Ire and Ruth (Roggow) Jensen in Storm Lake, Iowa. He grew up on the Jensen Family Farm in Alta, Iowa.  Larry attended country school and graduated from Alta High School in 1966. Larry attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, where he met his future wife and earned a degree in education. He was united in marriage to Diane Bennett on August 18, 1968, at Silver Creek Methodist Church in Galva, Iowa.  Following their marriage, they finished their college education and Larry took a job in the fertilizer division with Standard Oil in Sac City, Iowa.  They moved to Storm Lake where he managed a Pester Derby Gas Station until 1979, when he transferred to the Pester Derby Gas Station in Alexandria, Minnesota.  In 1985, he and Diane purchased the Minnewaska Bait & Tackle in Starbuck where he worked until his death. Larry was a member of the Minnewaska Lake Association.  He was a former member of the Pope County Pheasant Restoration, Glenwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, and NRA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, grilling, and cooking.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bob Jensen.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane; two sons, Michael (Renae) Jensen of Woodbury and Matthew (fiancée, Amber Aspengren) Jensen of Miltona; six grandchildren, Wesley, Mitchell, Elizabeth, Eve, Parker, and Ivy; along with several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
