Obituary Preview: Cora Ann Brown, 89, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her home. Cora was born on November 2, 1934, to the late Cullie Ray Henderson and Rose Lee Elkins Henderson. She was a devoted member at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, embodying the spirit of an A+ servant who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith also served as her compass, guiding her on numerous mission trips to spread love, hope, and kindness to those in need. Known for her big smile, the kindest of hearts, and patience Cora rarely ever met a stranger. Her caring nature and generosity led many people throughout her life to affectionately refer to her as “Granny Brown.”
Cora was a familiar face to many, having worked as a cashier at Walmart for numerous years.
Her warm greetings and the ever-present smile on her face made everyone's day just a little bit brighter. Cora was also a member of the Benton Homemakers Association, where she shared her talents in sewing and quilting. She loved cooking and, for years, volunteered alongside many of her close friends at church, helping prepare for the Wednesday night meals. Some of the greatest joy in her life came from being surrounded by her family. Whether they were gathering to eat, sitting around sharing stories, or playing games while enjoying a vast amount of snacks, Cora’s heart was always full when she was with her family.
She is survived by her four daughters, Sandy Kay Rudolph of Benton, Shelia Gold (Bill) of Benton, Barbie Parr (David) of Hardin, and Anita Henson (Barry) of Benton; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Peters (Frank), Jeff Rudolph (Robin), Wm. Dale Gold, Jr. (Cheryl), Brittany Chambers (Scott), Brandi Neff (Jeb), Bridgette Passafiume (Nick), and Chelsea Free (Matt); fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Zoey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Happy” Brown; one son, Michael D. Sirls; one sister, Fannie Mae Gordon; one brother, Ray Henderson, Jr.; one infant sister, Geneva Louise Henderson; one son-in-law, Jack Rudolph; her parents, Cullie Ray Henderson and Rose Lee Henderson; and her first husband, Dale Devaughn Sirls.

Randy was born to the late Bobby Dean Starks and Nell Morehouse on July 24, 1957, in Murray, Kentucky. He was an HVAC mechanic who worked at Central Appliance for years. Randy was a family man who always put his family first. He was an outdoorsman and a known collector of many things, especially guns and knives. Randy was also a Navy Veteran who loved his country and took pride in his service.
Randy is survived by his wife and friend, Fay Bissell Starks, of Princeton, Kentucky; two daughters, Roxanne Tate (William) of Fulton, Kentucky, and Jessica Wooten (Arthur) of Benton, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Gracelyn Starks, Ayla Fryman, Thomas Wooten, Addison Wooten, Emalyn Fryman, and Aiden Tate; and one former son-in-law, Brian Fryman.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Heather Dawn Slaughter; his parents, Bobby Dean Starks and Nell Morehouse; and his step-father, William Morehouse.

Herman Lane Lovett, Sr. - March 18, 1934 - May 10, 2024

Obituary Preview: Herman Lane Lovett, Sr., 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 10, 2024.
Born March 18, 1934, he was the son of Harley Winston Lovett and Marjorie Gordon Lovett Smith. Herman served in the Army and was a Tank Commander and part of the Occupation Force in Germany post WWII. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Alford Hardin Lodge #925 for 54 years.
Herman married the absolute love of his life JoAnn Ford Lovett, on June 2, 1956. Yes! That is 67 years and 11 months. He had four children; Leisa Ann Lovett, Herman “Lane” Lovett, Jr., Jenny Lovett Watkins (Bruce), and Jill Lovett Burger (Ty). His children brought him the blessing of seven grandchildren; Alli Burger, Tiffany Streetman (Austin), Brandon Williams, Derek Williams, Matt Watkins (Allison), Mitch Watkins, and Tyler Burger (Brittany). Herman also had twelve great-grandchildren; Kayli, Becca, Gracie, Ava, Isaiah, Benjamin, Oliver, Sophia, Tyson, Preslee, Jayden, and Kinslee.
Herman is survived by his wife, JoAnn Lovett; one daughter, Jenny Watkins; son, “Lane” Lovett; his seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, Susie Curtner (Curt), David Carroll, Shane Carroll (Raeanne), Danny Carroll (Teressa) Kimberly Kisner(Ray), Margaret Mainstruck (Chris), and J.J. Long.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Leisa Ann Lovett; daughter, Jill Lovett Burger; three sisters, Marie Morris, Patricia Long, and Delores Bradford; two nieces, Connie Morris, and Darla Bradford; and his parents, Harley Lovett and Majorie Gordon Lovett Smith.

Obituary Preview: Millie English Knuckles, age 69, of Benton, passed on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Millie was a graduate of Freed- Hardeman University and Murray State University with a degree in Organizational Communications. She worked for many years for the Marshall County School system in child nutrition and managed the cafeteria at South Marshall Elementary. She was a member of Briensburg Church of Christ and served as a faithful minister’s wife to her husband for many years. She loved reading, cooking, fishing and traveling, especially to the beach at Gulf Shores. She was always happy when she was spending time with her husband and family, especially children and grandchildren. She had grown fond of reminiscing of the good old days around Marshall County, speaking fondly of her childhood.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bro. Gary Knuckles; a daughter, Kyla (Steven) Alexander of Clinton, Kentucky; one son, Kevin (Samantha) Knuckles of Pearl, Mississippi; three sisters, Tamara (Gary) Winters of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Kellie Staab of Memphis, Tennessee and Carrie (Bobby) McVey of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Criss (Debbie) English of Dunmor, Kentucky and two grandchildren, Matthew Ray of Dallas, Texas and Nathan (Lydia) Ray of Henderson, Tennessee.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. English and Stillene Rudolph English.

Jackey was born to the late Johnny McLeod and Jessie Williams McLeod on July 10, 1959 in Benton, Kentucky. He was a 1977 graduate of Marshall County High School. Known for being a hard worker, Jackey raised cattle on his farm throughout most of his life and worked over forty years as a dedicated technician at Pro Equipment Company. He enjoyed hunting and watching sports, specifically Murray State University basketball. More than anything else, he enjoyed cheering on his granddaughter during her softball games and attending all of his grandchildren’s events. He was a very devoted Christian and a member of Miller’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Jackey is survived by his significant other, Sandra Vogle; one son, Johnny McLeod (Nikki) of Murray; two sisters, Barbara Lane (Michael) of Benton and Danita Houston of Murray; two grandchildren, Justin McLeod and Jaylee McLeod; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey McLeod; and his parents.

Obituary Preview: Joanne Johnson, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on April 4, 2024, at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benton.
Born on November 20, 1944, in Paducah, Kentucky, as a daughter to Clemmie "Tim" Gamble and Juanita Gibson, with the latter marrying Delmer "Dale" Melton. Her path in life led her to a loving marriage with the late William Roy "Willy" Johnson, with whom she shared both the joys and challenges life had to offer.
Throughout her career, Joanne served her community with dedication, working tirelessly in restaurants as a waitress and sharing her knowledge at Shawnee Plastics in Kuttawa for nine years. She was not just an employee but a teacher, imparting valuable skills in cashier training, computer literacy, and more to those eager to learn. Joanne treasured the simple pleasure of fishing, took joy in feeding every stray cat and dog she met, and delighted in her collections of glassware, cookbooks, and model cars.
Joanne is lovingly remembered by her adoring children, Tammy Bentle of Ashland, KY; Bryan (Stephanie) Edwards of Benton, and David Edwards of Grand Rivers; sisters, Kay (Bobby) Riley, Rosie (Terry) Moore, Vicky Gamble, and brothers Jimmy and Timmy Gamble, all of Mayfield. She loved her five grandchildren, Sabrina Prusinski, Annessia Lindsey, Zachary Edwards, Danielle Bliss, and Carl James Moegling, and seven great-grandchildren.
Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her father, mother, step-father, two sisters, Linda Davis and Donna Dixon, a brother Joe Gamble, as well as Louis and Bryant Gibson who helped raise her with love.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42445 with Dave Morrison, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens.

William Mac Tucker - February 08, 1938 - March 29, 2024

Obituary Preview: William "Mac" Tucker, age 86, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on March 29, 2024, at Marshall County Hospital.
Mac was born on February 8, 1938 in Marshall County to his late parents, William "Ed" and Grace Beatrice Tucker. He attended Draughon's Business College and Murray State University. He walked proudly through life guided by his unwavering faith, actively serving his church, Unity Cumberland Presbyterian, as a Sunday School Superintendent and later as an Elder for over four decades. His early career saw him excel in car sales at Parker Ford in Murray, before becoming part-owner. Not one to rest on his laurels, Mac sold his stake in the dealership to become co-owner of Leon Riley Ford in Benton. His entrepreneurial drive didn't stop with car sales, Mac developed much of the Draffenville area with his brother Terry, that included Gateway Shop-O-Rama, Food Giant, and Draffenville Plaza, in addition to residential subdivisions.  His leisure time was spent enjoying the links at Benton and Calvert City Golf Courses. Mac and Donna also cherished their time as snowbirds, splitting their moments under the sun between Kentucky and Florida. His passion for sports was clear to anyone who knew him; a dedicated Kentucky basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan through and through.
He was survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Donna June Tucker; three daughters, Vicki (Doug) Wynn of Benton, Kimberly (Robert) Ham of Benton, and Renee (Bob) Ridley of Pompano Beach, FL; one brother, Terry (Phyllis) Tucker of Draffenville; six grandchildren, Heather (Dan) Hall of Benton, Nathan (Heather) Wynn of Benton, Ryan (Jess) Ridley of Seattle, WA, Hayley Fountain of Benton, Blake (Hannah) Fountain of Murray, Robyn (Matthew) York of Benton; five great-grandchildren, Georgia Hall, J.T. Hall, Jack Fountain, Branch York, Lindy Ridley; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mac leaves us preceded in death by his parents, William "Ed" and Grace Beatrice Tucker, and his nephew, Craig Tucker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Wayne Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hardin.

Galon was born in Benton, Kentucky on January 16, 1938, to the late Lake Riley and Leeoda Fooks Riley. He was a hardworking man who never enjoyed sitting still for too long. Before retiring, he spent many years working in maintenance at ISP, formerly GAF, in Calvert City. After retirement and even while he was working at the plant he still always found time to tend to his farm. Whether he was row cropping, taking care of his mules and horses, or working on the farm equipment, Galon loved working and spending time on the farm. He enjoyed going to flea markets and never believed in letting anything go to waste because one day you might need it.
He was a member of Calvert City Church of Christ and loved the Lord and his family deeply.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Barefield Riley; three sons, Dale Riley (Debbie) of Benton, Glenn Riley (Chrissy) of Benton, and Bruce Riley (Andrea) of Calvert City; one brother, James Riley (Rhonda) of Benton; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Bertha Harrell, and Alveta Warren; one brother, Martin Riley; and his parents, Lake Riley and Leeoda Fooks Riley.

Mike was born to the late Paul Schuster and Judith Staffin Schuster on October 31, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan. Mike was a hard worker who loved his job in maintenance working mainly on boilers. If he wasn’t working, he was talking about work. Nicknamed “MacGyver” by his family, he was known for his ingenious knack of being able to work on and fix just about anything. He was a kind and considerate man who always put others before himself. Mike proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He was of the Catholic faith.
Mike is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Shelly Schuster of Benton; three daughters, Stephanie Milner (Roger) of Benton, Crystal Schuster also of Benton, and Danielle Schuster (Cameron Thompson) of Murray, Kentucky; and two brothers, Kenneth Schuster and Jeffrey Schuster (Susan) both of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by one son, Benjamin James Schuster; one sister, Lynn Renee Bentley; one niece, Katie Bentley; one nephew Anthony McCarty; and his parents.

Emma was born in Briensburg on March 19, 1938.  She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers along with traveling the world.  Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Emma worked as a cook for many years at Jonathan Creek Baptist Camp.
Emma is survived by one daughter, Carol Howell and husband, Matt of Hardin; sister, Peggy; five grandchildren, Kenneth Howell, Amanda Feckley, Ashley Hale, Michael Edwards, Kandis Cornwell; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Bobby Lee Edwards; one son, Mike Edwards; sister, Jonda; brother, Billy and her parents.

Born on May 1, 1975, to Ricky and Vickie Treas Driver in Murray, Kentucky, Philip brought joy and laughter with him wherever he went. He was a people person by heart and had the natural ability to turn acquaintances into friends. His love of interacting with others led to him working many years as a server and bartender, where he was able to meet new people and bring warmth and laughter to any room. One of his favorite jobs in his past was working for an Alaskan cruise ship, where he was able to surround himself with others and witness some of nature's beauty. Philip's fondness for nature led to his passion for flowers and photography, making floral photography one of his favorite things to capture and share with others. Philip also loved to travel and see new places, and when he wasn’t cherishing his time spent with friends and family, he enjoyed watching tv and immersing himself in music. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit and the love, joy, and laughter that he shared with everyone. He is survived by his partner, Sean Baker of Paducah; his parents, Ricky and Vickie Driver of Benton; one sister, Emily Hill (Shawn) of Benton; one brother, Adam Driver (Kara) of Benton; his aunts and uncles, Jimmy Treas of Benton, Ronald Driver (Kathy) of Benton, Brenda Turner of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tim Driver (Donna) of Calvert City; his five nieces and nephews, Kaylee Blackford, Cash Adams, Orin Hill, Wade Driver, and Ava Driver; several cousins; and his mother in law, Shirley Flood of Paducah.H

During her time in Illinois, she worked as a property inspector for Chicago Title Insurance. After moving to Kentucky she spent many years working as a cook at the Marshall County Girl Scout Camp. Carol was a member of St. Mathew By The Lake Lutheran Church. She was also a true blue Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan and loved her life on the lake.
She is survived by one daughter, Lori Kuta (Bob) of Gilbertsville; two sons, Anthony Alberico (Denise) of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, and Michael Alberico (Monica) of Elwood, Illinois; two sisters, Patricia Riley (Robert) and Rita Saxton (David) both of Joliet, Illinois; one son-in-law, Jeff Hoechst of Lexington, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Dr. Abe Allen of Reidland; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Stonitsch and Cyndi Stonitsch; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Jan Alberico Bowman of Logansport, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Alberico; her second husband, Harold “Tom” Teeters; one daughter, Debbie Hoechst; one sister, Diane Eisenhammer; four brothers, Richard Stonitsch, Lawrence Stonitsch, Ronald Stonitsch, and infant, Bobby Stonitsch; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Allen; and her parents, Arthur Stonitsch and Helen Swan Stonitsch.

Before retirement, he worked many years as a carpenter for Pip Johnson Construction and the Carpenter’s Local Union #357 in Paducah. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his vegetable garden. He was a very talented woodworker who enjoyed making furniture and multiple different crafts for family and friends. He was an avid UK basketball fan who always made time to watch them play on TV every chance he could. Bobbie was also known by many for his kindness and generosity and would always make it a point to help anybody whenever they were in need. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Euple Burkeen Lee; his four daughters, Paulette Sykes (Michael) of Murray, Pam Vidmer (Steve) of Murray, Renee Buckingham of Murray, and Tina Wilson (Michael) of Murray; one daughter-in-law, Linda Thompson Tidwell; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Hugh Wayne “Butch” Thompson; one brother, Clayton Lee; and his parents, John Lee and Calis Clayton Lee.

Ronnie was born in Mayfield, Kentucky, on January 31, 1944, to the late Tilmon Ray and Ora Mae Goodin Ray. He was a member of Altona Baptist Church in Calvert City. He was part of the Telephone Pioneers group and, before retiring, worked as an installation and maintenance supervisor for BellSouth. He was both an avid University of Kentucky and St. Louis Cardinals fan who also enjoyed watching his favorite westerns and Nascar on TV. Ronnie loved being outdoors, working on various building projects, and attending classic car shows. He loved all animals, especially dogs, and he was very fond of his cat, Mookie.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Becky Ray; one daughter, Danielle Ray of Benton; one son, Mike Ray (Cindi) of Benton; one brother, Kenny Ray (Steffani) of Springfield, MO; two grandchildren, Brandon Ray and Breanne Gibbs (Brandon); one great-grandson, Beck Marshall Gibbs; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Kathleen Wright Wilkowski, Wanda Sue Matheny, and Shirley Sanderson Beach; one brother, J.C. Ray; and his parents, Tilmon Fane Ray and Ora Mae Goodin Ray.

Jim was born to the late James Draffen, Sr. and Annie Lou "Sue"  Draffen on July 30, 1943 in Maryville, Tennessee. He attended and graduated from Mississippi State University with his Bachelor's Degree. Most recently Jim was a partial owner of Draffen’s Inc. working alongside his father and brother at their family business. He was very active within and a long time supporter of the Kentucky Drag Boat Association. While his children were growing up he was also very active with the “Ole 97”  Boy Scout Troop in Memphis, Tennessee. Jim had a lifelong passion for boating and loved Kentucky Lake. He was a member of Heartland Church and most recently attended Altona Baptist Church.
Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Babb Draffen; his three sons, Samuel Tip Draffen (Angela) of Draffenville, Kentucky, John Mark Draffen (Jennifer) of San Mateo, California, and Stephen Babb Draffen of Oxford, Mississippi; two nieces, Misti Jaco and DeeAnn Bogaczyk; four grandchildren, Kylie Jones, Oliver Draffen, Eleanor Draffen, and Amelia Draffen; and his beloved dog, Rex.

His family will always remember the importance he instilled in them to remain curious and to continue learning.
Dean is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sofia Morris of Nashville, Tennessee; three daughters, Susan Gentry of Paducah, Kentucky, Rene Ellis (Joe) of Benton, Kentucky, and Cindy Wyatt (Mike) of Paducah, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Nathan Taylor (Jenny), Brooke Clanton (William), Mariah Peel (Robert), Dr. Hannah Ellis, Sarah Ellerbusch (Reese), Mark Wyatt (Leslie), Brian Wyatt (Marlena), and Heather Wyatt; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and spent many years working at North Star Steel in Calvert City before being involved in a vehicle accident that made it impossible for him to return back to work. Roy was blessed with the ability to be a great woodworker and enjoyed using his talent to make a variety of furniture pieces throughout the years. He was also a big Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed collecting all things Elvis related. More than anything else he was a wonderful friend and family member who will be greatly missed by everyone.
The family would like to express their most heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all of the staff at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City for all of the love and care they have provided for Roy during his time spent there.

Obituary Preview: Donna Katherine Ealey, 88, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023 at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray.
Born in Buchanan, Tennessee, Donna graduated from Buchanan High School. Earl and Donna moved to Benton in 1955 after getting married on February 18. During her life, Donna worked many years with Ms. Nellie Cannon at her preschool. She was later accepted into the Nursing Program at West Kentucky Vocational School, where she studied before working for several years at Britthaven Healthcare Center in Benton. Earl and Donna were devout members of Benton First Baptist Church, where they worked as custodians and where Donna taught Sunday School.
Donna's most valued life accomplishment was her devotion to family. She spent much of her life as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She braved, with Earl, all the elements to follow her three grandchildren in any activity they pursued - whether it be soccer, dance, or a scholastic event. Donna would often show up with a batch of warm chocolate chip cookies and a smile. She will be greatly missed but comfort can be found in 1 Peter 5:7 - "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you."
Donna is survived by her husband of 68 years, Millard Earl Ealey of Benton and one son, James Ealey (Dianna Ealey) of Benton. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ealey of Benton and three grandchildren, Jaime Ealey, Abigail Ealey, and Caitlyn Ealey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Fannie Kirkland; two sisters, Eva Morris and Dorothy McDaniel; and one son, Steven Ealey.

Shortly after graduating from barber school, he opened up Ray’s Barber Shop in Benton which he owned and operated for over 50 years. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his wife, Laneda. He and his wife also loved taking trips and traveling with their friends. Raymond was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Pat Gold (Bob) and Lana Irvan (Randy) both of Benton; two grandchildren, Beth Colson (Jamie) and Brian Gold (Amanda); five great-grandchildren, Owen Colson, Noah Colson, Landri Gold, Ledge Gold, and Cullen Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Laneda Kay Woods Turner; one infant son; several brothers and sisters; one grandson, Jamie Irvan; and his parents.

James loved spending time with his family, from when he coached his daughter in basketball and softball to more recently enjoying time with his grandkids and great-grandchildren. He was known to always have an opinion but everybody liked to be around him as he was often the life of the party.

Obituary Preview: David Lemmons,72, of Benton, KY passed away comfortably in his sleep on Sunday morning, November 12, 2023.  David was a beloved husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend.  He was serving as minister of the Maple Hill Church of Christ in Benton, KY, and could be heard on the Walking in Truth radio program on 99.1 FM and seen often on the A Bible Answer program on WQWQ.  His LemmonsAid website reached thousands of souls around the world and was responsible for bringing many brothers and sisters closer to Christ.  His favorite things to do in life were to spend time surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren, and cheer on the Arkansas Razorbacks---Woo Pig Sooie!
David dedicated his life to service of the Lord and His work.  He graduated from both the Brown Trail School of Preaching in Bedford, Texas and the Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, Tennessee.  He also earned a Bachelor’s degree from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee.  He served as the minister for several churches of Christ, including Rehobeth Church of Christ in Dyersburg, TN, the Bernie Church of Christ in Bernie, MO, Rolling Fork Church of Christ in Rolling Fork, MS,  Mount Zion Church of Christ in Savannah, TN, Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann, AR, North Marshall Church of Christ in Calvert City, KY, Bellevue Road Church of Christ in Dublin, GA, and Maple Hill Church of Christ in Benton, KY.  David was also inspired by “The Great Commission” in Matthew 28 to make double-digit mission trips to Indonesia, India, Ukraine, and Tasmania.
David is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Diane, their three children (Heather Simmons, Aaron Lemmons, and Rachel Wallace), two sons-in-law (Kris Simmons and Anthony Wallace), and three grandchildren (Maverick Simmons, Serenity Simmons, and Cannon Wallace).  He is also survived by three sisters (Sue Barnes, Pat Arnold, and Karen Weems) and numerous nieces and nephews.  David was preceded in death by his parents (Quentin and Margaret Lemmons) and six siblings (Peggie Lemmons, Bill Lemmons, Bob Lemmons, Shirley Wiles, Dick Lemmons, and Karol Lemmons).

She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence Neal Tully.
Barbara's early life was spent traveling with TVA where her father was an engineer. The family finally settled in Benton, Kentucky. She attended Murray State University where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree and met her husband, Lawrence. Barbara taught elementary school in Benton for 27 years. After the death of her husband, Barbara moved to be near family in Manhattan, Kansas. She was an avid knitter, an amateur archeologist attending many Indian artifact digs, and an accomplished bridge player. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
A graveside memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Marshall County Memory Gardens in Benton, Kentucky.

John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debbie Kipers; one daughter, Krystal Dinkel (Jason) of Valley Center, Kansas; one son, Jacob Kipers (Natasha) of Wichita, Kansas; three step daughters, Angela Morris (Ryan) of Benton, Trista Larkin (Jay) of Benton, and Jenna Crouch (David) of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Anita Klingenberg; eight grandchildren, Gracie Bowman (Dominic) of Wichita, Kansas, Dylan Larkin, Olivia Larkin, Ben Larkin, Lawson Morris, Dax Morris, all of Benton and Ellie Crouch and Copeland Crouch of Murray.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Kipers-Turner, Patricia Hurlburt and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Life Celebrations of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, Kentucky 42025.

He was born on May 3, 1938 to the late Delmas Howard Kilby and Evelyn Crisler Kilby.
Don was a brick mason and worked for many years at Shop-O-Rama. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he was a radio/telegraph operator on the USS Montrose. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he was an assistant Sunday school teacher and assistant treasurer. He was an active member of the local American Legion #236 Honor Guard and was a member of the Woodman of the World and was a trustee for the Palma Briensburg Fire Department. He loved to fish and hunt as well as working on lawn mowers. Don will be remembered as a loving father and husband.
Don Kilby is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Doughty Kilby; one son, Troy (Allyson) Kilby of Hendersonville, Tennesse; one brother, David Lee Kilby of Bandana, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Kilby of LaCenter, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Kilby; one brother, William Kilby; and one sister-in-law Clara Graves Kilby.
Funeral services for Donald Ray Kilby will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck & Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY. Rev. James Oates will officiate the service with burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
