James Allen Ganzer was born on October 26, 1961, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Phyllis (Hahn) Ganzer. On October 22, 1988, Jim was united in marriage to Tammy Schmelzer in Muscatine. Jim owned Jim’s construction and worked as a contractor for many years. Jim was extremely talented; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. For the past 11 years, Jim worked as assistant plant manager at CHS Incorporated. He enjoyed camping, music, the outdoors, his corvette and spending time in his garage. His greatest love was spending time with his family, his best friend, Fred and being with his girls.
Jim will be deeply missed by his wife, Tammy Ganzer of Muscatine; his daughters, Cassandra Ganzer of Muscatine, Nichole (Riley Livingston) Ganzer of Muscatine and Kayla Ganzer of Muscatine; grandchildren, Jasmine Valencia, Ryan Valencia, Riann Livingston, and Aaliyah Ganzer; his mother, Phyllis Ganzer of Muscatine; siblings, Bill Ganzer of Austin, TX, Dan (Lisa) Ganzer of Muscatine, Mike (Tina) Ganzer of Letts, Cynthia (Brad) Derry of Herndon, IA, and Brenda (Gavin) Allan of Wichita, KS; and several nieces and nephews.

Jimmy B Goreham was born on November 26, 1936 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Aubery B. and Carlene (Johnson) Goreham. On June 16, 1957, Jimmy was united in marriage to Dixie Lee Ricketts in Davenport, Iowa. Jimmy had been employed with Linwood Mining and Minerals. Jimmy enjoyed playing cards, putting puzzles together, collecting model cars and going to the casino to play the slots, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by his wife, Dixie; children, Janet Iwanowski of Bettendorf, Jimmy (Sally) Goreham of Muscatine, David (Lavoy) Goreham of Muscatine and Loretta (Dan) Yoakam of Muscatine; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, John Goreham of Arizona; two sisters, Lila (Clifford) Sanders of Arizona and Judy (Danny) Williams of Arizona and two sisters-in-law, Beverly Goreham of Arizona and Nancy Goreham of Muscatine.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Victor Iwanowski, two brothers, Raymond and Robert Goreham and one sister, Joann (Jim) Whitmore.

Obituary Preview: Branden J. Davenport, 34, of Muscatine, formerly of Idaho Falls, ID, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at his home. Visitation for Branden will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 5-7pm at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Branden was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom who served in the United States Army for 10 years and held great pride for his ability to serve his country. Another great source of pride for Branden were his wife and four year old daughter, Briyer. Branden loved being a father more than anything in his life. It was not unusual to find Branden playing Kristoff to Briyer’s Elsa, having princess sleepovers, or building a fairy world in the bathtub. His roles as father to Briyer and husband to Beth mattered most of all to Branden.
Branden Jacob Davenport was born on July 1, 1981, in Idaho Falls, ID, the son of Stan and Telecia Davenport. He married the love of his life, Beth Martin, on September 16, 2012, in a beautiful private ceremony in a vineyard in Napa Valley, CA. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1999 and was continuing his education after his military service at Muscatine Community College in order to obtain a teaching degree. He worked to support his family at Hibbett Sports in Muscatine.
Branden will be deeply missed by his wife, Beth of Muscatine; daughter, Briyer; parents, Stan and Telecia (Hammon) Davenport of Idaho Falls; brothers David, Nicholas (Christy), and Josh (Casey) all of Idaho Falls; sisters Desiree (Chad) Nelson of Idaho Falls and Brittney (Karl) Eggleston of Twin Falls, ID; paternal, grandfather, Myron Davenport of Idaho; father- and mother-in-law, Link and JoDee Martin of Muscatine; sisters-in-law, Jo Quetsch of Spokane, WA, and Chris Martin (Chad Thomas) of West Liberty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles Gordon Ricketts was born on September 20, 1944, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Day) Ricketts. On March 18, 1967, Charles was united in marriage to Sharon Critten in Buffalo. Charles worked for Linwood Mining and Stone for nineteen years. He enjoyed watching eagles, western movies, wrestling, listening to gospel music and, most of all, loved spending time with his family.
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife, Sharon Ricketts of Davenport; four children, Lisa Kroeger (Joe), Terri Alberson (Kenny), Charlie Ricketts (Sherri), all of Davenport and Rebecca Ricketts (David) of Montezuma; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Nancy Goreham of Fairport, Dixie Goreham (Jim), Betty Bohling (Richard), Roxie Hake (Randy), all of Muscatine.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ronnie Ricketts, Joey Ricketts and Leroy Ricketts; two sisters, Mary Baney and Rachel Ricketts; and two brothers-in-law, Nova Baney and Bob Goreham.

Obituary Preview: Visitation for Donald will be held on Sunday, June 21st, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22nd, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at High Prairie United Methodist Church. Pall bearers will be Donald's nephews Randy, Bob, Jon, Rodney, Bryan and Joe Brauns. Honorary pall bearers will be Bill and Bob Scott. Memorials may be made to High Prairie Church Cemetery Association of Lake Township for the cemetery fence restoration.
Donald R. (Don) Scott went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2015. Don was born on April 18, 1933 at Bellevue Hospital in Muscatine, IA the son of Howard W. and Ruth M. (Willits) Scott. He lived his entire life in the Muscatine area, aside from the time he was in military service. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School in 1951. Don was an active member of the High Prairie United Methodist Church, serving on several committees during the years.
Don served in the U.S. Army Engineers Battalion in Korea from 1953 to 1955. He married Jean L. Brauns on September 11, 1955 at High Prairie Church in Muscatine Iowa. He farmed all his adult life. He was a long-time member of the Muscatine County Pork Producers Association. He enjoyed grilling and serving pork at various promotions. Don was a member of the County, State and National Corn and Soybean Growers Associations. He was a charter member of Pro Farmers of America.
Don was also a County Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioner for 23 years and won several awards for his farm conservation work. He was an assistant leader of the Lake Livewires 4-H club for 10 years, and served as a township representative on the Muscatine County Extension Council.
He was a member of the Muscatine County Farm Bureau for many years. Growing up he was a member of 4-H, holding several offices. He was also a FFA member and officer, receiving the Iowa Star Farmer Award.
Aside from farming he enjoyed his family, especially his four grandchildren. He looked forward to taking the family on camping vacations.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean (Brauns) Scott; son, David W. Scott, his wife, Amy, and their sons, Aaron and Ean Scott of Muscatine; and son, Daniel R. Scott, his wife, Ludmila, and their daughters Karina and Sabrina Scott of Iowa City; one brother, Larry H. Scott and his wife Genevieve of Dahlonega, GA; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane L. Scott and his parents, Howard and Ruth Scott.

She also enjoyed taking care of her family, telling stories and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Virginia will be deeply missed by her five sons, Marvin Harris (Karen) of Dunlap, IL, William Harris (Linda) of Muscatine, Allen Harris (Lesa) of Joplin, MO, Danny Harris (Karen) of Muscatine and Roger Harris (Jill) of East Moline, IL; fifteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Darrell M. Plowman was born on January 3, 1928, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Frances and Helen (Martin) Plowman. On February 1, 1951, Darrell was united in marriage to Betty Failyer in Muscatine, they later divorced. On December 15, 2000, Darrell was united in marriage to Janice (Merz) Bridger in Muscatine. Darrell worked at Kent Feeds for 42 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his pet schnauzer and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Darrell will be deeply missed by his daughters, Judy VanDolah and Barbara LaRue (Mike), both of Muscatine; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six siblings, Steven Plowman (Janice), William Plowman (Glenda), Betty Terry (Harrison), Mary Yocum, Janet Peterson (Pete) and Florence Roberts, all of Muscatine.

Donald Gasaway was born on May 21, 1933, in Los Angeles, California the son of Charles Martin and Helen Elizabeth (Harris) Gasaway. Donald served with the United States Army during the Korean War. Donald was united in marriage to Mary Christine Wilson on May 21, 2014, in Muscatine. He worked for UPS and the Deputy Sheriff's Posse. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the National Sheriff's Association.
Donald is survived by his wife Chris of Muscatine; one son, Brandon Gasaway of Muscatine; Connor, Loki and Clover whom he raised as his own children; and siblings, C. Mervyn Gasaway and his wife, Janet and Larry G. Gasaway and his wife, Juanita both of Muscatine, Louise Boucher and her husband, Victor of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Carla M. Schade and her husband, Terry of Florida.

He was proud to have served his country during the Vietnam era and most proud to be a United States Marine. Rick enjoyed trips to Laughlin, Nevada with his loving wife Linda. Going to the Casino, playing yahtzee and spending time with family and friends. He is Survived by his wife Linda of Columbus Junction, four children, Crystal Pratt of Quincy, April Wombles of Quincy, Cecilia Rodriguez of Columbus Junction and Mike Yerington of Columbus Junction, nine grandchildren who Rick loved spending every possible moment with. Two sisters Jackie Booth of Wayland, MO, Mary Todd of Keokuk and one brother, John Todd of Cedar Rapids and many nieces and nephews.

Marisela was the owner/operator of Tortilleria El Norte, she was a very hard worker, loved dancing every chance she could with her husband and most of all spending time with her family.
Marisela will be deeply missed by her husband, Gilberto Erives of West Liberty; four children, Maritza Quiroz of California, Agustin Quiroz, Jazmine Erives and Omar Erives all of West Liberty; four grandchildren; mother Florita Benavente of Muscatine; and many loving sisters and brothers.
