Obituary Preview: Jensen H. Feather, 79, of Claysburg, passed away Monday May 20, 2024 at home. He was born March 4, 1945, in Roaring Spring, son of the late Howard M. and Loretta (Snyder) Feather.
Surviving is a half sister Marie Sell of Imler and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Ralph and Leon Feather and step siblings Blanche Diehl and Archie Dively.
Jensen was a 1963 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and a 1967 graduate of Greensburg Institute of Technology. Following graduation, Jensen worked for Feather Enterprises Inc. buying and repairing school buses. When Feather Enterprises dissolved, Jensen started J.H. Feather’s Garage and Car Sales.
Jensen was a member of St. Mark’s Reformed Church, Imler, The Antique Auto Club of America, The Buick Club of America and was a founding member of The Blair County Antique Auto Club.
He enjoyed Buick automobiles, and judging at various car shows. He also served as DJ at summer cruise ins for many years.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

He was born December 5, 1951 in Pensacola, FL, son of the late Charles A. “Mose” Musselman and Barbara J. (Mountain) Musselman-Walter. He married Doris French on June 6, 1970 in Brunswick, OH.
Surviving is his wife of Wellsville, OH, sons Thomas Charles Musselman of Girard, PA and Brian Michael Musselman of Findlay Township, PA, brothers Lawrence F. and Michael W. (Kathleen) Musselman, both of Claysburg, PA, a sister Susan Fickes (Wayne Claycomb) of Imler, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Frank Fickes.
Charles was a 1969 graduate of Brunswick High School. He retired as an Advanced Generation Specialist from FirstEnergy in 2012, working at the Sammis Power Plant in Stratton, OH.
He was a member and Past Master at Masonic Lodge 180 in Wellsville and Masonic Lodge 583 in Toronto, serving in Blue Lodge, Widow Sons, and Royal Arch.
Chuck enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and building things.
A Celebration of Charles’s life will be held at a later date.

She was born June 7, 1929, in Claysburg, daughter of the late Albert James and Edith (Musselman) Strayer. She married Robert E. Musselman on April 25, 1947 in Claysburg. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2001.
Surviving are two sons James Musselman and wife Joyce and Edward Musselman and wife Gwen, 4 grandchildren James Jr. (Stacey), Tyke, Eddie (Jennifer) and Tammi (Brian), 7 great grandchildren Nathan, Collin, Blake (Jay) Cassidi, Brodi (Madison), Lakynn and Dylan, 3 great great grandchildren Rowan, Hadlie, and McCoy and 2 sisters Shirley Musselman and Vernadine “Boots” Butler. She is also survived by severalnieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her foster family.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Gregory A. Musselman, a nephew Donnie Butler and 2 brothers Oliver and Thomas Strayer.
Virginia was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, East Freedom. She was a 1947 graduate of Claysburg High School and was employed as a supervisor at Loungeray, Hollidaysburg until its closing and then was employed at Schulman’s, McKee until retirement.
Virginia was a member of Shady Trail Riding Club, Golden Agers, and the Claysburg American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She was an awesome seamstress and enjoyed quilting, gambling, and going to camp in Clinton County.
Friends will be received from 1 P.M. until the 5:00 P.M. funeral service on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Interment at Holsinger Cemetery, Bakers Summit.

Kevin was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. He was a 1992 graduate of Bedford High School.
Kevin enjoyed swinging on the front porch, dancing, singing, country music, WWE Wrestling and going out to eat.

She was also blessed with a step family, Barbie and Chris Christenson, Bobby Biddle, Christy and Donnie Posel, Peachy and Rick Goebel, 5 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Lynn Biddle and 3 siblings.
Kay was a homemaker and enjoyed spending Sundays with her family at Ponderosa.

He was born June 2, 1944, in Forest Hill, MD, son of the late David and Elizabeth (Buchanan) James. He married Susan Pace on January 28, 1967, in Houston, TX.
Surviving are his wife and three daughters: Hannah Dunlap and husband James of Pittsburgh, PA; Molly James of San Francisco, CA; and Ellen Mbuqe and husband Sipho of Syracuse, NY; six grandchildren: Sadie and James Dunlap, Kai and Makenna Myers and Yoliswa and Zola Mbuqe; two sisters: Elizabeth Wellborn and Anne Duncan, a brother Joseph James and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lia Myers, two brothers, David and Allen, and two sisters, Janie and Nancy.
Kenny was a 1962 graduate of Bel Air High School (MD) and attended Texas Tech University and Frostburg State University, receiving a B.S. degree in Sociology. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He owned and operated a dairy farm and was a founding member of the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America. He traveled the country judging Jack Russell meets and shows, offering expert advice on raising and working with the dogs.
Kenny was an avid reader and happiest when he was outdoors, whether he was gardening, hunting or planting a cornfield. He was known for his sharp sense of humor and was always lots of fun to be around. Being extremely creative, Kenny made paintings, sculptures, built furniture, restored antiques, and wrote a book of hunting stories featuring his pack of Jack Russell terriers.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to UPMC Family Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for their dedicated care and support during his illness. Donations can be made in memoriam to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Surviving is her husband, three sons Guy (Rose), David and Joseph, of East Freedom, a daughter Dawn McDannell (Monty) of Claysburg, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren five brothers Frank “Snook”, Thomas (Joan), John (Toni), Arnold (Cindy) and Charles “Rick” Barr, and a sister Mary (Alfred) Ingham. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Mauro, a daughter-in-law Melissa Mauro, and a brother Walter Barr.
Virginia was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a wife and mother, and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, quilting, crocheting and was a marvelous cook.
Virginia was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville and was active in church activities. She was a volunteer student aide at St. Patrick’s School and was a Girl Scout Leader.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday April 23, 2024 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.

He was born Dec. 1, 1948, in Roaring Spring, son of the late William and Jennie (Weyandt) Ritchey. He married Linda McNally on July 2, 1977 in Roaring Spring.
Surviving is his loving wife, sons Matthew and Andrew (fiancé Abby Isenberg), granddaughter Mya Ritchey, a sister Margaret Hightower of Grasslake MI and a brother Kenneth (Jacqueline) of Ebensburg. He was preceded in death by infant granddaughter Grace Lynn, sisters Mabel Cox, Kathryn Hite, Genevieve Mountain, Lois, Betty, Darlene and Ginger, brothers William, Elwood, Luther, Floyd, Sherman, and Harold.
Jake retired as a roofer from Champion Home Builders, after more than 20 years of service. He attended Faith Assembly of God Church in Roaring Spring. He was an avid deer hunter in local areas and in Potter County with family and friends. He was a car enthusiast and visited local car shows. He enjoyed watching his son Andy compete in local dirt drag races. Jake took great pride in working in his yard with his lawn tractor and lending a helping hand to many friends and neighbors.  He was one of a kind, well loved, and will be greatly missed.

Musselman and wife Sandy and brother-in-law Paul Lightner. He waspreceded in death by a sister Donna J. Lightner.
Mr. Musselman was a 1964 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. A 1968 graduate of Pennsylvania State University and received his Masters from Syracuse University. He retired as a teacher in 2005 after 37 years of teaching, 36 of those years at Claysburg-Kimmel. He also spent 12 years teaching evening classes at Penn State-Altoona and adult GED classes at Claysburg.
Michael was an active member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, where he served as Deacon, Treasurer and Worship Leader.
He enjoyed teaching, his church work and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Dianna Mock, sons Gary and Allen Bridges, grandsons Terry Bridges and Joe Mock, and three brothers H. Merle, Irvin and Elmer Hengst.
Rosella was a 1949 graduate of Claysburg High School. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Imler, where she was active in church activities. She was primarily a homemaker but was also employed at Warnaco.
Rosella enjoyed attending the Southern Blair Senior Center and spending time with her family.

Roxanne enjoyed shopping, gardening, yardwork, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Cork was a hardworking man in many fields such as construction, painting, and taking care of the Greenfield Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and all of his friends.

Susanne was a 1966 graduate of Central High School. During her life, she was employed at the Claysburg Library, Kelly Leasing, and the Altoona Hospital Day Care Center.
Susanne was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, where she served as Deaconess for many years.
She was an avid reader and served on the Board of Directors at the Claysburg Area Public Library and enjoyed crossword puzzles and board games and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.

Surviving are three children Dorothy Musselman, Kathy Garrett and Jay Imler, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a brother Larry Ickes. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion Carl Settle, brother William Leroy Imler, sister Hellen Imler and great granddaughter Kylie.
Edith was employed at Loungeray, Hollidaysburg, Cannondale, Bedford and, also owned and operated a tack shop in Curryville.
She was a member of the American Legion, Hollidaysburg and the VFW Post, Johnstown.
Edith enjoyed walking, dancing, horseback riding, raising chickens and going to the Senior Center in East Freedom.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Tom was a 1961 graduate of Central High School and was employed for over 30 years as a truck driver for New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company.
Tom was a member of the Chimney Rocks Beegle Club and was an avid hunter, and traveled in the U.S., Canada and Russia hunting for big game. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and working on cars.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services.
Interment at Leamersville Riverview Cemetery.

Derick was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg. He enjoyed going to casinos, hot rods, driving his 68 Camaro and spending time with his best buds Mark Dick and Brandon Beeler and his co-pilot (DA) Kevin Price.
Friends will be received on Thursday February 8, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and on Friday February 9, 2024 from 11 A.M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral service at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery.

Rodger enjoyed spending time with his family, truck driving, working on cars with his daughter, hunting, fishing, farming, and going to gun-shoots. He was a truck driver for most of his life, and worked the last 5 years at Ollinger Bros. in Altoona.
He was a former member of the American British White Park Association.
Rodger was always willing to help everyone, when needed, and had a great sense of humor, always making everyone laugh. Rodger will truly be missed.
Friends will be received from 1:30 P.M. until the 2:30 P.M. celebration of life service on Sunday March 3, 2024 at the East Freedom Firehall with Pastor Charlie Miller officiating. Following the service, a light meal and refreshments will be available.
A donation box will be available to assist with the costs of his estate.

Marvin LeRoy Metzler - August 11, 1938 - January 30, 2024

Obituary Preview: Marvin LeRoy Metzler, joined his heavenly Father and was able to see Jesus face to face at age 85 on January 30, 2024.   He was welcomed onto this earth on August 11, 1938, to parents, Ross & Margaret (Blough) Metzler, the second of 12 children.  He married the love of his life, Judith Showalter Metzler on Dec 28, 1957 and shared 66 years together.
If you knew Marvin, you know he enjoyed being a farmer, truck driver and a pastor.  His life impacted everyone he encountered in daily life.  He and Judy’s mission to spread the love of Jesus included trips to Kenya, Honduras, Haiti, Jamaica and Antigua.
Marvin was loved by so many and is remembered for his generous spirit, giving of his time and money.  His positive attitude was contagious and continued throughout his battle with cancer, never complaining.  He remains a beacon of light that continues to shine.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jay Metzler and sister Reba Jean Metzler.  He will be missed by his loving wife, Judy, children Journey Smith, Marvin Metzler Jr and wife Pam, Wendell Metzler and wife Kimberly, Donna Peachey and husband Leon, and Betty Clapper.  His grace and compassion has impacted many generations as 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren continue his legacy.  Also surviving are brothers Ralph Metzler, Elmer Metzler, Dave Metzler & Jim Metzler, and sisters Avonelle Peachey, Jane Lehman, Ruth Kuhns, Rhoda Yoder, and Shirley Yoder. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, 122 Church Rd, Duncansville, PA, February 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
