Obituary Preview: Mary I. Crawford, 80, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on April 27, 2022 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on December 1, 1941 in Holly Springs, Mississippi daughter of the late Beverly and Blanche (Porter) Wells. Mary retired from American Printing House of Blind after 42 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Gilt Edge Baptist Church and enjoyed helping at the food pantry and downtown ministries.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Caroleta Bradley (Donald); sister, Jessie Lauderdale; grandchildren, Jwan, Christian, LaChelle, Lewis; two nephews and their families, and a host of family and friends.
There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 10-12pm with service to follow at Guilt Edge Baptist Church, 1713 DL Motley Way, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Veronica Leigh Ritz-Wilson, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at her home in Memphis, Indiana. She was born on December 10, 1970, to the late Ronald and Patricia Ritz in Port Jefferson, New York. Veronica was full of life and spirit. She never met a stranger and was always there to help anyone in need. Veronica cared for her family and friends deeply. She was friend for life, and a great mother, wife, sister, and aunt. Veronica had a great sense humor and always tried to make everyone laugh. In her spare time, she enjoyed caring for animals, especially dogs, watching her favorite movies, like “Gone with the Wind”, listening to her favorite artist, Prince, and traveling to see the ocean in Long Island, Smith Point and Montauk Beach. Veronica will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Ronald and Patricia, Veronica is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Geraldine Roark, and Richard and Eleanor Segall; and her step-dad, Chris Segall.
Left to cherish her memory, Veronica leaves behind her loving husband of 31 years, Thomas Wilson Sr.; 2 children, Thomas Wilson Jr. (Courtney), and Julia Wilson (Chris); 4 siblings, Patricia Brading (Josh), Christine Ritz, Tracey Ritz, and Chance Ritz; 1 granddaughter, Charlotte Bell; 2 step-children, William Wilson, and Heather Wilson; 6 nieces/nephews, Jenna Brading, Isabelle Brading, Taylor Brading, Colten Brading, Glynn Ritz, and Michael Kazlow; loving companion and service dog, Bailey; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Legacy Funeral Center-Scott Chapel, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Memorial visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Obituary Preview: Reverend Dennis “Rev” O. Middleton, 94, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on April 12, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1927 in Logan County, Kentucky son of the late Clarence Woodson and Tiny Mae (Williams).  He was the founder and pastor of the Full Gospel Mission Church, Louisville, Kentucky for 62 years.  He also worked at International Harvester retiring after 39 years. Dennis was a United States Navy Veteran and served in WWII. He was an Associate Minister for the Jessup Brothers in his early years and was ordained by of United Christian Church & Ministerial Association of Cleveland, Tennessee. He enjoyed boxing, weightlifting, Biblical Scholar and his weekly broadcasts (WXVW, WREY, WLOU, WFIA).  He was also an avid observer and recorder of the weather and loved spending time with his family.
Dennis was a preceded in death by his brothers; Jess hayden, Ernie, Estel, Jewel, Ray; sisters; Dorothy Bailey, Ruth Hale. Mary was a dedicated CNA at Hillcrest for many years and later in life was a wonderful homemaker and provider to her family. She was a hard worker and was always there for her family no matter what. Mary was a member at House of God’s Blessings in Jeffersonville, Indiana and enjoyed watching movies, shopping, working puzzels, great cook and loved her family very much.
In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Luchia Roberson; along with a brother and a sister. She is survived by her loving children; Erica Beasley, Herbert Beasley(Laressa); Jason Lee; Christian Lee, Johnnetta Groves(Adrian), Christopher Roberson along with 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was born on March 19, 1937 in Covington, Kentucky daughter of George and Sylvia (Zebelean) Bowman. Mary was a loving mother who was devoted to and delighted in her family. In her retirement from bookkeeping and administration she enjoyed her involvement in community service with a special heart for those in need. She was a member of the SGI Highlands Louisville Buddhist Community Center and Henryville Community Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 siblings. Mary is survived by her sons, Brent Frederick (Carmen), Brian Frederick (Jennifer), and Edward Frederick (Kelly); along with 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren plus one on the way.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the professionals of Jeffersonville Police, Fire and EMS in the excellent care given to their mom.
There will be a memorial gathering held on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 4-7pm and a Celebration of Life from 2-4pm with service to follow on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Henryville Community Church, 115 Lake Road, Henryville, Indiana 47126.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lynn Davis; brothers, Tommy, Dickie and Mike Davis. Bud is survived by his Daughter, Heather Davis and fiance Jeremiah Hall; Son, Todd Hudson and wife Erin; Grandchildren, Kennedie Kaye Hudson and husband Hunter Hudson, Hailey Michelle Roederer; sister-in-laws, Donna Gregory and husband Jim, and Linda Davis; Close friends, Jackie Barnes and Steve Cook.

Kenneth "Kenny" Hawkins - June 14, 1938 - February 07, 2022

Obituary Preview: A Celebration of Life for Kenneth “Kenny” Hawkins, 83, of Clarksville, Indiana, will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 2-2:30 PM at the funeral home.  He passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Kenny was born on June 14, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Flora Mae Hawkins.   He was employed for many years as a refinery operator at Durkee’s Famous Foods in Louisville, Kentucky before going into the car business.  Kenny owned and operated Kenny Hawkins’ Action Auto Sales several years in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Kenny chose the name Action Auto Sales so that in the yellow pages of the phone book it would be listed first among auto dealers.  Later he sold cars for multiple dealerships including Bales Motors and Vissing’s Dodge in Jeffersonville, and O’Neal Chrysler in Scottsburg.  He is well known and liked in the southern Indiana auto community and has many friends in the auto business including at the Clark County Auto Auction.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death his son, Bruce; a daughter, Nancy Minton; a brother, Buddy; a sister, Helen Miller; and a daughter-in-law, Monica Hawkins.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Anna Hawkins; children, Kenneth Jr., Eric (Kara), Jimmy (Ashlee) Minton; a sister, Mary Bray; grandchildren, Randall, Angela, Kevin, and Corey Minton (like another son); and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Kenny was a long term participant in AA and recently received a new token representing 29 years of sobriety.  He was a popular fixture at his local AA meetings and sponsored multiple other participants.

Aubrey was born on February 18, 1953, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Aubrey & Wanda Gregory and was raised alongside 5 siblings. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School. He went on to marry the love of his life, Kathleen Louise “Vittitow” Gregory in 1973 and together they had 3 children. Aubrey was the Manager of Environmental Services for 35 years with Clark Memorial Hospital. He loved to travel, spend time with his grandchildren, and tell stories. He was known as the glue of the family after his wife passed in 2001.
Aubrey Gregory Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, and his siblings, Judy Kaelin & Betty Lynn Gregory. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Brandy (Blake) Goldberg, Aubrey (Heather) Jr., & Wanda (Reuben) Borrego; his siblings, Debbie Liddick, Kathy (Mike) Young, & Tammy Wolfe; his grandchildren, Evan Boggs, Haley Gregory, Aubrey Jaxon Gregory, Evan Paul Lawhorn, Alex Keeling, Kayla Keeling, & Gabriel Keeling, as well as other family members and friends that will all miss him very much.

Barry was born on July 29, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Andrew and Helen Dupree.  Barry retired from Ratheon after 26 years and he loved to spend his free time outdoors hunting, fishing, and shooting.  He was a jack of all trades and excelled in woodworking, even building his own woodshop at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved Yorkie and best friend, Minuet; and brother, Richard Dupree. Obituary Preview: John Eric Shearer, 47, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022.  John was a Methodist by faith.  He was a beloved son, brother, father and grandson.  John was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 6, 1974.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Valerie Shearer Campbell (Robert) of Louisville and the love of his life, Becky Copley of Jeffersonville.
John is survived by two children: Jessica Shearer of Susanville, California and Jonathon Shearer of Louisville.  He is also survived by his grandmother, Joyce Adams Gatz (Bob) of Louisville and his father, James C. Shearer II (Susie) of Blue Springs, Missouri; Siblings James (Kristi) Shearer III of Louisville, Jason (Terri) Shearer of Blue Springs, and Joy (Matt) Furman of Elgin, South Carolina.  John will be missed by many friends and relatives including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
John loved animals and nature.  As a young boy, he liked climbing trees and mountains.  One of his favorite pastimes was playing in a creek with his brothers.  He was very tender hearted and caring person.  John had a special place in his heart for people who are hurting from life, always-offering love, consolation, and a kind word.  He was a good Samaritan to many.  John worked in construction primarily as a welder and bricklayer.  He was known as a hard and diligent worker.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 followed by a celebration of life on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Return Church, 435 Eastern Blvd., Clarksville, IN  47129.  Expressions of sympathy can be made to Return Outreach Inc., a program to assist homeless and those in need throughout the community, especially in the Portland area of Louisville.  Donations can be made through Return Church.

Brad went on to marry the love of his life, Michele “Missy” Bottorff in 1982 and together they raised one son. He was known for drinking beer and cutting grass; he could often be founding tending to his garden or riding his motorcycle. Everyone knew Brad for his great sense of humor and wit.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Missy Bottorff; his son, Bradley Scott Bottorff 2nd (Lindsey); his brother, Brent Bottorff; his grandson, Keaton James Scott Bottorff, as well as nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who will all miss him very much.
