Burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Duncombe.Linda is survived by her sons, Shane (Samantha) Odor and Jamie Odor; grandchildren Jazmine, Carson, and Maverick; and siblings, Joanie Peterson, Janet Schlievert, Carol (Dick) Wiseman, Kay Springer, and Larry (Connie) Koester. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Bruno Koester, Carl and Adaliene (Blanchet) Meyers and her brother Ken Koester. Linda Sue Koester was born on March 6, 1953, in Fort Dodge. She attended Webster City Schools, graduating from Webster City High School. After graduation she went to cosmetology school. In 2005 Linda moved to South Carolina and worked at Berkley County Water for many years. After she retired in 2019, she moved back to Iowa to be closer to her family and grandkids. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Chris’s pride was in her students and she shared her passion for learning with hundreds of children over the years.Christine led a simple life and was very laid back. She was known to stand firm in what she believed in. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.Christine is survived by her parents, Robert and Pamela McCaffery, Fort Dodge, IA. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Clare. There will be a visitation from 9:30 until the time of services on Thursday.Jim is survived by his beloved partner and wife, Cynthia, and his sister Trisha McElroy, of Fort Dodge. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Berneice (Nash) McElroy.James Carl McElroy was born on July 6, 1955, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in the area, graduating from NW Webster High School in 1973. After high school he enrolled in Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, studying Turf Management. With the earth of Iowa beneath his feet, Jim cultivated the robust fields he farmed for over a decade. In 1986, he made the move to Tempe, Arizona, where he laid his roots for 38 years. As a dedicated professional, Jim spent 15 years as a respected employee of Allied VanLine, and then 22 years as a Concrete Delivery Truck Driver with Cal-Portland among other companies. Jim’s Passion for life was evident to all who knew him. An avid storyteller, he cherished recounting his youthful adventures across the Midwest, where he once piloted small planes, taking his companions on whirlwind adventures. Once on the ground, his spirit of adventure continued through motorcycle journeys. Jim took pride in his Harley Davidson which took him on many adventures with his beloved wife, Cynthia Cole McElroy. The pair married on November 18, 2006, and together shared many happy journeys. Jim also had a love for golf, achieving a hole-in-one in April 2023, and enjoyed other outdoor pursuits such as camping, fishing, and snow skiing. Jim’s life was one of joy, generosity, and hard work, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In remembrance of James Carl McElroy, we reflect on the indelible mark he left on the world, the love he shared, and the integrity he embodied. He attended Simpson College in Indianola and graduated with his bachelor’s in chemistry. In 1989, Mike made Fort Dodge his home and in 1990 was united in marriage to Jenny Grady. The couple were very active members of the Calvary Memorial COGIC. Mike was first employed as a financial manager before becoming a chemist for the Fort Doge Labs in 1990. He retired from the labs in 2016. Mike will be remembered for countless quirks, especially his collection of comic books and fine point fountain pens.Michael had a strong relationship with God and unceasing faith. He was the provider of his household up until his last breath and the Patriarch of his family, possessing a heart with the capacity to love us all. He was one of the strongest moral men of integrity and always put an emphasis on his children pursuing good grades and a higher education. He held us all to a high standard and we are blessed to call him brother, husband, father, grandpa, poppa, and friend.He was preceded in death by his stillborn daughter Michelle Ruth Richardson, parents Margaret and Douglas Richardson, uncles and aunts Curtis and Donna Richardson, Harry and Marie Richardson, nieces Dalacee, Nikki, and nephew Casey.Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years Jenny, children Michael Douglas (Katherine) Richardson of Harrisonburg, VA, Keisha Lynn (Justin) Beadle of Fort Dodge, Michelle Danielle (Dallas) Beisch of Pomeroy, and Marissa Denise Richardson of Fort Dodge. Jean is survived by her children Mike (Lori) Grebner of Parkston, SD, Deb Krause of Eagle Grove, Cindy (Scott) Barrick of Humboldt, Lisa (Jim) Harvey of Eagle Grove, nine grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Clark and Viola (Babcock) Kiley, husband Vernon in 2018, siblings Glen Bud” Kiley, Edith Pohlman, Wayne Kiley, and Leo Kiley. Jean Ann Kiley was born September 4, 1938, in Minnesota. She graduated from Renwick High School in 1956. Jean was united in marriage to Vernon Grebner on September 21, 1957, and the couple made their home in Renwick. Jean notably worked at the Renwick School as a cook, waitressed at the Entertainer in Thor and worked at Dodger Manufacturing in Eagle Grove. She retired as a dispatcher from Asgrow, now known as Monsanto. Jean loved the outdoors and horses. She and Vernon attended many rodeos, enjoyed trail riding, camping, and working in their vegetable garden. Jean’s precious time spent with her grandchildren was spent baking the best Kringle and chocolate chip bars, letting the girls play with her makeup, sharing her love of horses, and making countless memories. Jean A. Grebner, 85, of Humboldt passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 204 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home, Fort Dodge. A time for visiting will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Renwick.

He was born on Feb 4, 1955, in Fort Dodge to the late Clifford and Geraldine Crimmins. Doug was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Doug leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Doug graduated from Fort Dodge High School and shortly after graduation he joined the Air Force to serve his country. Upon finishing his military duties, Doug embarked on a successful career in the private sector and worked at Georgia Pacific in Fort Dodge. While at Georgia Pacific, Doug received numerous promotions throughout his career at GP and ultimately was promoted to the Human Resources Manager for the entire plant. Transitioning in his career path, Doug left GP and joined the Webster City Hospital as the Human Resource Manager. Doug was an avid music and history enthusiast, and he had a vast collection of books and music genres. Being a voracious reader, Doug would always engage in historical conversations as well as the most recent current events. Kim furthered her education at Iowa Central Community College where she received her R.N. Degree in 2009. Kim worked at various care centers around the area. She did a lot of family ancestry research. Kim found many a burial location for family on find a grave and other internet searches. She enjoyed fishing but mostly loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Kim was a fearless, fierce, and loving person who always put others’ needs in front of her own. She could sing like an Angel. On April 12, 2002, she was united in marriage to Monte Haukoos. The couple were later divorced but remained close friends. Obituary Preview: Del was called home April 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with chronic heart failure; just 15 days shy of her 100th birthday.A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in the Celebration Center at Friendship Haven.Del was born in Nekoma, North Dakota on May 1, 1924; a special May Day gift for her parents. She was 100% Norwegian and very proud of that heritage. She lived in Edmore, North Dakota; growing up where her father was a blacksmith. As a young girl, she was riding on the back of her father's tractor, fell and was dragged by a well digger and almost lost her life.Del was a high school basketball star and member of the pep squad. According to her classmates, she was the best dancer around especially when it came to the Jitterbug. She loved it so much that she continued dancing her entire life. After high school, Del moved to Grand Forks, ND where with her cousin, they were the best waitresses around at the Uptown Cafe. She always earned the most tips and said you just have to be nice to people and when you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours. Delphine was married to Leland "Lee" Johnson on November 4, 1949 in Michigan, ND. They were blessed to share and celebrate 64 years of marriage. She was a 75-year member of the American Legion Auxillary Post 21 in Lakota, ND, the American Bowling Association, and the Lakota Lutheran Church. She worked many years at JCPenney and Sears where she was a diligent worker and attended to her duties with precision and care. Jill is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Tiffany (Marcus) Bliss of Carrollton, TX; and her brother, Larry (Mary) Onnen of Blair, NE. She is preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Arthur and Mae (Widestrom) Onnen, and her brother Jerry Onnen. Jill Denise Onnen was born on August 23, 1950, in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Manson, graduating from Manson High School in 1968. After high school, she went on to continue her education at Iowa Central Community College. On December 19, 1970, Jill was united in marriage to Jim Schubert, and the couple made their home in Manson, eventually moving to the family farm near Manson.Jill wore many hats- devoted wife and mother, homemaker, Campfire Girls leader and joyful friend. Jill loved the Lord and had a gift for leadership and service. She was very active at Our Savior Methodist Church for many years, teaching Sunday school and vacation Bible school, leading the youth group, serving as UMW president, and eventually becoming a certified lay speaker.
Jill D. Schubert, 73, of Manson, peacefully passed away Monday April 15, 2024, at Park View Rehab Center, Sac City.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday April 18, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery near Manson. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

Pat made three combat cruises to Vietnam as a Plane Captain and Aviation Electrician Mate (AE3), Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4) with Fighter Squadron VF-154 "Black Knights" (F4 Phantom II Jet Squadron) attached to the Aircraft Carrier USS Ranger CVA-61.Pat received an A.A. degree from Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge, IA in 1974; a B.S. degree in Geography from Arizona State University (ASU), Tempe, AZ in 1977; graduated from a two-year management development program at ASU's Center for Executive Development in 1988; received a Master of Technology degree in environmental management (Hazardous Materials & Waste Management) from ASU in 1992. He worked as Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Lab Manager for the Department of Geology (Center for Solid State Science) at Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ (1981-1992); as a Mobile-Lab Environmental/Chemist for Transwest Geochem, Scottsdale, AZ (1992-1995); as an Environmental Planner for Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG), Phoenix, AZ (1995-1996); as Environmental Protection and Public Works Director for the Ak-Chin Indian Community, Maricopa, AZ (1997-2005); for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) via Senior Service America (SSAI) as a Solid Waste Circuit Rider for Native American Indian tribes in Arizona and throughout southern California, U.S. EPA Region 9, San Francisco, CA (2006-2007). Pat returned to Fort Dodge in 2008 where he enjoyed motorcycle riding, spending time with old and new friends, and visiting long distance with his daughter in Arizona. On June 13, 1975, he was united in marriage to Ardis Billings and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Joe went to work at Air Gas, Hove Trucking, SMX Smithway Motor Express and later retired from Fort Dodge Asphalt after 13 years of service. Joe loved his family always tried to make sure they came first in his life. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing, and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Joseph Dean Lewis, 72, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held be held on Monday, April 8th at 10:00 AM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery with military rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1856 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Ardis of Fort Dodge, son Chad Eastwood and his wife Angela of Fort Dodge, son Justin Lewis and his wife Julie of Manson, Carrie Lewis and her fiancé Jake Nelson of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Brandyn, Nathan, Coletyn, Devyn, Dawson, Macey, Hailey, Aubrey, Lexey, Cassie, Kendra, Joshua, Katelyn, Kaylee, Ella, Zach and Brad, great grandchildren Ayvah, Kyla, Mila, Tove, Franklyn, Winry and Ulysses, brothers John (Deb) Lewis of Fort Dodge, Rick Lewis of Temple, TX, sisters Diane (Jim) Hunter of Gowrie, Eileen Dodgen of Fort Dodge and Kathy (Leon) Streit of Gowrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Margaret (Buscherfeld) Lewis, brother Bruce (Margaret) Lewis and brother-in-law Dan Dodgen.
Joseph Dean Lewis was born on April 30, 1951, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated here and graduated from St. Edmond High School in 1970. That same year he joined the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam until 1972. Joe continued to serve his country in the Reserves until 1976. On June 13, 1975, he was united in marriage to Ardis Billings and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Joe went to work at Air Gas, Hove Trucking, SMX Smithway Motor Express and later retired from Fort Dodge Asphalt after 13 years of service. Joe loved his family always tried to make sure they came first in his life. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing, and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Joe was a past member of the Evening Lions Club.

A visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.Wayne Charles Anderson, son of Gilbert and Viola (Weaver) Anderson, was born July 3, 1943 at home at near Johnston Clay Works and Kalo, Iowa.On July 18, 1964, he married Kay Beadle at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July.In the early years of their marriage they owned horses and were members of the River Valley Saddle Club. They participated and won awards in area competitions in ground pickup, pole bending, and barrel racing.Wayne's first job was working for Carney's in Fort Dodge where he hauled cars locally and to surrounding states. In 1964, he began working for Alvin Anderson at Anderson's Standard Station at the corner of 2nd Avenue and South 7th Street in Fort Dodge. In 1977, Wayne and Kay bought Anderson's Standard Station. They operated it until his retirement in 2000, when they sold it to their son, Doyle. Over the years as Standard/Amoco station owners, they went on several trips awarded to them by the company.For 18 years after retiring, Wayne worked for Law Brothers Farms, rural Duncombe, during the spring planting and fall harvest seasons.They also enjoyed camping and logged over 80,000 miles on their motorhome traveling all over the United States. For over 10 years they spent winters in Arizona.Wayne enjoyed fishing and golfing. He golfed regularly at the Webster City Links Golf Course and at the Dayton Oaks Golf Course. He was a talented woodworker and he designed and built furniture and the kitchen cabinets in their home. A few years ago he took up cooking. Although he hadn't had much previous cooking experience, he was not afraid to try anything new and even made his own homemade dried egg noodles.When the weather was nice, Wayne and Kay loved to take golf carts rides around Coalville and along their route they passed out dog treats to all the neighbor's dogs. They lived their entire married life in Coalville and their welcome mat was always out for friends and family to stop and visit with them.He is survived by his wife, Kay; son, Doyle (Jennifer) of Moorland; grandsons, Colten (Emily) Anderson and Cody Anderson and granddaughter, Madison Anderson; one brother, Keith (Jeannie) Anderson, of Fort Dodge; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie and Gary Anderson; sisters, Carolyn Woodman and Phyllis Faith; and parents-in-law, Bob and Phyllis Beadle.
