James was born on April 20, 1947, in Latrobe, PA a son of the late James (Grace) Clark Sr.
He was a graduate of Latrobe High School and continued his education attending St. Vincent’s and graduating from Penn State University with a bachelor’s in engineering. He worked at Packard Electric/Delphi until he retired. After retirement he enjoyed substitute teaching at Lakeview, Lordstown, and Labrae Schools.
Being an alumnus from Penn State he became an avid Penn State Fan. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and bicycle, playing pickleball, and reading Stephen King Novels. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
James will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Susan, whom he married on December 6, 1974; children, Heather Clark and Tommy (Sarah) Clark; grandchildren, Matthew Starling, Harrison, Jackson, and Edison Clark; sisters, Ruthann (John) Gordan and Gloria Collins. Cheryl was born on January 21, 1956 in Warren, OH, a daughter of the late Leonard and Maxine Ulrich.
She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and worked at General Motors until she retired.
In her younger years, she loved to go dancing. She enjoyed camping and riding her motorcycle. Growing up on a farm, she developed a great love for all animals. She was also involved in 4-H with her children. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by her children, Amber (Butch) Solarz and Travis Blaney; grandson, Nate Ulrich; brothers, Leo and Tim Ulrich; sister, Deb (Jack) Ulrich; and beloved best friend/sister Karen (Jerry) Hood.

Obituary Preview: Tillie N. Bowser, age 89, a lifelong resident of Champion passed away November 17, 2023, at Windsor House of Champion. She was born on August 1, 1934, in Middlefield, OH to the late Nick and Anna Ezbanska Nesterak.
She attended and graduated from Grand Valley High School and later worked at Johnson Rubber. She was a homemaker who dedicated her time to taking care of her family and home. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church where she worked in the kitchen helping with the catering for many years.
Family parties and get-togethers were important to Tillie as well as playing cards with her friends. She spent many hours playing Dominos, Monopoly, and Poker with the grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling in the motor home and playing Bingo and going to the casinos. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Linda) Lucik, and Randy Lucik both of Champion; stepdaughter, Patricia Bowser of Mecca; grandchildren, Heather (Patsy Retort) Lucik of Lowellville, Matt Lucik of Vienna, Tiffany (Grayson) Partlowe of Stephens City, VA, Nicholas (Chelsea) Lucik of Medina; 6 great grandchildren, Lydia, Owen, Gia, Mia, Patsy, Jackson, and Jace; siblings, Betty Phillips and Irene Loze both of Middlefield;
She is preceded in death by both husbands, Nicholas Lucik in 1985, and William Bowser in 2023; granddaughter, Amanda Lucik; sisters, Helen Jackobi, Ann Button, Julie Sado, and brother, Steve Nesterak.

Randy was born on September 13, 1953 in Griffin, GA a son of the late Reno and Jackie Henson.
He received a Law Degree from John Marshall Law School in Georgia. He worked at General Motors in Lordstown as a Superintendent of the Paint Department, where he met his wife, Donna and got married November 26, 2002. He enjoyed repairing and restoring antique furniture, collecting antiques and antique toys, cooking southern dishes, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a friend to everyone that knew him and would help anyone in need. He loved being with his pets, Cookie, Lorna Doon, Abigail, and Willow; but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Randy will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend, Donna Henson; children, Ty and Trent Henson of Arlington, TX, Joy (Derrick) of Cortland, Bob (Lisa) of Champion, and Jim (Tonia) of Wellington; grandchildren, Maria (Brad) of Columbus, Kim (Patrick) of Wellington, Derek (Ivy) Boardman, Courtney (Mike) of Champion, Krista of Wellington, Angelica of Akron, and Katelin of Wellington; four great-grandchildren; brother, Ricky Henson of Milner, GA; sister, Jackie Ann (David) Bell of Griffin, GA; sisters-in-law, Ellen of Austintown, Helen of Wellington, and Sara (Joe) of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Shenango High School in PA and continued her education at Youngstown State University receiving her bachelor’s degree. She was a food service supervisor for Alleghany General Hospital, Labrae, Liberty, Mathews, and Ashtabula County School Systems. She then became a food service auditor for Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania before retiring.
She was a devout Christian and an active member of Moms of Liberty and the Republican Women’s Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, going to Blue Grass Festivals, and entertaining her family and friends.
Denise will be deeply missed by her husband Myron Summers, whom she married on April 6, 2010; son, Charles A. (Chrissy) Hasek IV; granddaughter, Ella Drew Hasek; and brothers, Ben (Paula) Barker Jr. and John (Michelle) Barker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Anika Hasek; and sisters, Joan Smock and “Bunny” Robbins.

Corinne "Corky" Marie Schnaubelt Stiles - September 28, 1948 - November 02, 2023

Obituary Preview: Corinne “Corky” Marie (Schnaubelt) Stiles, 75, of Warren passed peacefully on November 2, 2023. She was born September 28, 1948 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Jarold and Charlotte Schnaubelt. Corky spent her early childhood years in San Diego and then moved with her family to Mesquite, Texas where she graduated from Mesquite High School in 1966. As a young adult she attended college and relocated back to San Diego, where she married her beloved husband Robert (Bob) and raised their two children, Shane Aaron and Amber Lyn. In 1992 they packed up their home and the family moved to Warren, Ohio to be closer to Bob’s aging parents and to enjoy the changing of the seasons.
Corky was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling to see her grandchildren, was the queen of her local Red Hat Society, loved lunching with friends, and frequenting craft shows, garage sales and antique shops. She took pleasure in making her special fudge at Christmas time for all of her family to enjoy and playing Hay Day on her computer, creating an elaborate farm where she was able to take care of virtual animals. She was also the quintessential Cat Lady, known for wearing all of her different hats! Corky worked for many years at LCS in Vienna, Ohio in their quality control division. When she retired she was finally able to spend her time with her true passion, providing humanitarian aid to cats, especially community and stray cats. In 2010 Corky took over running TNR of Warren, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to assisting the community in trapping, neutering and returning free-roaming cats to existing managed colonies. As the president of the non-profit organization, she expanded its services to include wellness clinics, providing shelters to outdoor cats, developing a food pantry and giveaways, and providing low cost spaying and neutering as well as flea and tick treatments to low income families. She worked tirelessly educating the public on the role of feral cats within the animal population by compassionately managing community cats through non-lethal means as well as the need for population control among all felines.
Corky was preceded in death by her husband Robert on September 15, 2014, her parents and her sisters Valerie (Schanubelt) Long and Darlene Eisenberg.
Corky’s memory will be carried on by her son Shane (Mayra) of San Diego, CA, daughter Amber (Kenneth) of Cortland, OH, her three grandsons Ryan, Ethan and Aidan of San Diego, CA, the board and volunteers of TNR of Warren, as well as the caregivers of the tens of thousands of cats she helped over many years. However, she would want to be remembered most by the cats she helped.

Dorothy was born on June 3, 1921 in Irvington, NJ, a daughter of the late Walter and Effie Gray.
She received her Bachelor and Masters degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and worked as a School Psychologist in the Warren Schools for 22 years and Niles Schools for four years.
She was in many golf and bowling leagues and enjoyed playing cards and working on crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Children’s Rehabilitation Auxiliary and a lifetime member of Trumbull County and Ohio Retired Teacher’s Association. She also volunteered as a tax worker for 14 years, poll worker, and with Mobile Meals.
Dorothy will be missed by seven nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter and Durand Gray.

John was born on July 5, 1955 in Warren, OH, a son of the late Willard and Helen Bridgens.
He was a 1973 graduate of Lakeview High School and worked at Control Transformer for 30 years. In 2008 he moved to Madison, OH where he worked at Western Reserve Hardware until it’s closing. Recently he moved back to his hometown, Cortland.
Jack will be deeply missed by his sisters, Jeanine Isaacson and Jeri (Brian) Beaumont; brothers, Jay (Linda) Bridgens and his twin, James (Iris) Bridgens; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ike Isaacson.

Steven was born on December 21, 1956 in Kittanning, PA, a son of Marvin “Red” and Myretta “Mert” Waltenbaugh.
Steven was a 1975 Graduate of Maplewood High School. After graduation he joined the Air Force where he trained as an Air Force mechanic and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Following his honorable discharge he started a career at Lincoln Electric in Euclid , OH where he ended his career as a welding instructor and a lead in their motor sports program. He went on to become an educator obtaining a degree and taught welding for Auburn Career Center in Concord, OH. Finishing his career as a welding inspector for Airgas.
Steven was a life long Browns fan and enjoyed golfing, bowling, boating, gardening, canning and most importantly spending time with his children and close family.
Steven will be deeply missed by his mother Myretta; children, Stevie, Kenny, Jack, and Rachel Waltenbaugh; and sisters, Dei and Karen.
He was preceded in death by his Father Marvin “Red” Waltenbaugh.

Obituary Preview: Virginia M. McCall Cole, age 91, of Cortland went home to be with her Lord with her family by her side on Monday, October 16, 2023. She was born on May 18, 1932, to the late Wilbur McCall and Sarah Blanche Arblaster Evans.
She attended Champion High School where she was a cheerleader, majorette, and was also in the homecoming court. She married Edward S. Cole on August 17, 1951, spending 59 wonderful years together.
She was a member of Fowler Community Church where she served on the Missionary Helper, Bible Study Group, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Kids World, and the Puppet Ministry. She enjoyed tole painting, quilting, and crafts. She was a proud homemaker for her family and her family is what mattered most.
She is survived by her children, Gayle (Ed) Lesh of Fowler, Robert (Polli) Cole of Farmdale, Karla (Bill) Durig of Vienna, and Jeff (Tami) Cole of Fowler; grandkids, Tonya (Donnie) Rosie, Tara (Chris) Gregory, Ben (Kri) Cole, Cheryl (James) Smith, Jason Cole, Joshua (Stacie) Durig, Lucas (Alycia) Durig, Kyle Cole, and Tyler Koeppen; great grandchildren, George, Cole, Grant, and Karis Rosie, Helaina Cole, Harley, Wyatt, Demetrius, Rowan, and Penelope Smith; brother, Carl Edward McCall, half-brother, David McCall.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward on April 3, 2010, brother, James L. McCall, and half-brothers, Dennis and Darren McCall.

She was born on September 28, 1941, in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Paul Shine and the late Mary Spak Shine.
Cookie was a 1959 graduate of St. Francis High School and was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church in Cortland. She received her advanced training as an EMT from the Youngstown State University. She also attended numerous symposiums, lectures, and training classes to further her education in emergency medicine. Cookie started her career at the W.V.U. Hospital as an admitting clerk before working as an EMT for the Mecca Vol. Fire Dept. where she became the first female officer at the department and retired as Squad Commander. Cookie was most proud of her years she spent working as a homemaker and mother to her twin sons. She loved nature and spending her time at the family farm in PA. She enjoyed the woods, flowers, autumn leaves and the sounds of a babbling brook, the rain, wind and the ocean. Cookie also loved music and dancing. She studied tap and ballet in her youth and had taught ballet as well. Cookie loved to make people happy. She enjoyed making pepperoni rolls for her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with them.
Cookie was a former member of the Howland Mother of Twins Club, Eagles Nest Club and the Mecca Vol. Fire Dept. Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, Christopher (Dawn) Wilson of Cortland; and sisters, Mary Ann Ayersman of Morgantown, WV and Paulette Shine of Morgantown, WV. Also surviving is her beloved grandson, Eric Wilson.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Wilson, and sister Frances Barrick.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday October 16, 2023, at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer Winans Chapel located at 164 North High St. in Cortland, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00AM.

He loved being outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, or boating. He was a member of Harbor Yacht Club in Ashtabula, Shenango Valley Corvette Club, and Corvette Canton Inc. He was a hard worker and loved to be around his family.
Michael will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dee Dee Fedeles, whom he married on March 10, 1979; children, Carla (Brian) Pennington, Tamera Reinheart, and Michael David Fedeles; step-daughter, Vonnie (Paul) Carr; four grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Danny) Lutz, Ronald (Marge) Fedeles, and Cathy (Rick) Riddei.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Edward Fedeles Jr. and Step-son, Gary Cotelesse.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday September 9, 2023 at 10:00AM St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland.
Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Cindy was born to Robert Roden and Mary Roden Borton on November 13, 1954, in Steubenville, Ohio. Cindy was a passionate disciple of Jesus and served the communities she lived in as a dedicated Registered Nurse for more than 35 years, most recently at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngtown.
Cindy is survived by her children Renee (Kevin) Farina, April (Kyle) Ward, and Anthony (Jessica) Corbett and beloved grandchildren Brennen (22), Tyler (12), Adelyn (8), Dillon (6), Isabel (4) and Carter (2). She is also survived by her siblings Barbara Roden, Robert (Pamala) Roden, David (Beth) Roden, Margaret (Mark) Ringle, Tamera (David) Davis, and Brian (Starr) Roden, as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Above all else, Cindy lived to be a witness to the power and love of God in all things. She deeply loved and took great pride and joy in her children and grandchildren and enjoyed planning special things to do with them. She enjoyed quilting and spending time in her beautiful flower garden. She liked to travel and took many trips with her children and sister Barbara, and she enjoyed stopping at antique shops along the way. From a young age she was a member of the Finley United Methodist Church and spent more than 25 years serving several United Methodist congregations across Northeast and Southeast Ohio. She most recently attended Hartville Church of the Brethren and Wildare United Methodist Church in Cortland. Each summer, she attended Hollow Rock Camp in Jefferson County, which held a special place in her heart. Cindy graduated from Mingo High School and continued her education at Ohio Valley School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse. She later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Malone University. She was hard working and committed to helping each of her patients in their time of need. She touched many lives across her nursing career and time serving the United Methodist Church.
Cindy was loved by so many, and she will be deeply missed. She was a servant of the Lord and shined her light for all to see. Now she has received God’s Blessing and lives with our Heavenly Father.
Friends and family will celebrate Cindy on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Hartville Church of the Brethren, 353 Crestmont Ave SW, Hartville, OH 44632, from 2:00pm-4:00pm with a memorial service to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to Hollow Rock Camp at https://www.hollowrock.org.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who lived for her family. She was a 1955 graduate of Newton Falls High School. Following graduation in November of 1955 she married Leo Maddie and they began their life together for 43 wonderful years.
Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. In her spare time she enjoyed needlework, crafting, crocheting, and working crosswords. She had a special gift for music and loved to sing. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony (Theresa) Maddie, Jody (Sandy) Maddie, Walter (Kathryn) Maddie, and Verne (Julie) Maddie; grandchildren, Eward (Melissa) Maddie, Suzanne (Chad) Maddie, Christopher (Alison) Maddie, Clint (Robin) Wright, Jennifer (Travis) Potter, Debi (Ryan) Hamric, Michael Stack, Christopher Stack, Hillary Stack, Raegan Stack; great grandchildren, Allison, Olivia, Owen, Keegan, Emma, Maggie, Jarred, Maddox, and Seth; brother, Rick (Diane) Glover; daughter-in-law, Colleen Maddie; and numerous other extended family members.

Caring for her lawn, garden, flowers, birds, and butterflies.
She is survived by her son, Randall Gidycz, his partner Clifford Lloyd, a brother, James D. Bowser, three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, were son John R. Wilkins, five brothers and one sister.
Per her request there will be no services.

Family and friends may visit from 10-12:00PM on Friday August 11, 2023 at Calvary Bible Church located at 4747 Warner Road NE in Cortland with services to follow at 12:00PM.

He owned DiGiacobbe’s Pizza in the 1970’s-1980’s, was a licensed Auctioneer and Appraiser for 65 years, and built and owned the Cortland Roller Rink for 52 years. He worked alongside 4H groups at the fair for many years and enjoyed animals and farm life. Most of all he loved being with his family and was a proud grandpa and great-grandpa.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 71 years, Ruth (Knight) DiGiacobbe, whom he married on March 8,1952 in Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Marisa (Anthony) Minich; granddaughters, Rosa DiGiacobbe and Maisie Minich; great-granddaughter, Winter Rose DiGiacobbe; sister, Vera DeVincenzo; and brothers, Alfred (Patricia) DiGiacobbe, Donald (Cheryl) DiGiacobbe, and Ronald (Sandra) DiGiacobbe. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Melanie DiGiacobbe; and siblings, Attelio DiGiacobbe, Albert DiGiacobbe, Mary DiGiacobbe, and infant Louie DiGiacobbe.
A memorial talk will be given at 6:00PM, followed by visitation with family and friends until 8:00PM on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at the Cortland Roller Rink located at 290 S. High St. in Cortland.

Bonnie was born at Trumbull Memorial Hospital on December 26, 1942. She was the second child born to Herbert Charles Corder and Gladys Marie Hinkle Corder. She graduated from Cortland High School in 1960. Bonnie was a conscientious student and very active in her school clubs and organizations.
Following graduation, she worked as a switchboard operator at Packard Electric. While raising three children, she continued working in advertising and accounting. Bonnie’s incredible work ethic and determination ultimately landed her the prestigious position of Medical Staff Coordinator at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, where she retired in 2006.
Bonnie was an avid reader, loved traveling, and enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians with her long-time companion, Howard Lahner, with whom she lost in 2019. She loved planning parties and big events, from her class reunions to the Geneva Grape Jamboree. But mostly, she lived for spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Bonnie was known for her gracious spirit and smile. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Thus, Diane was her favorite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Herbert Corder; her brother, Richard Corder; her sister, Janet Miller; and nephews Randy Miller and Ronnie Miller; as well as her loving companion and best friend of 20 years, Howard K. Lahner.
She is survived by her son, Jeff (Melanie) Ross, Boca Raton, Florida; and daughters Barbara Danko (Mark), Farmdale, Ohio; and Diane Ross (Kim Palumbo), Manassas, Virginia. She is the cherished grandmother of Natalie (Turner) Curry, Jacob Ross, Hannah Ross, and Maria Danko (Brock Sarko). She is also survived by her precious great-granddaughter, Emerson Curry; her nephew Robert Miller, and her former husband, Gary Ross.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the residents of Cortview for their friendship, to the staff of Clearview Lantern Suites for their compassionate care, and for the grace and support provided by Southern Care Hospice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Shafer-Winans Funeral Home. A private memorial will be held at Hillside Cemetery at a later date.

Nancy was involved at St. William Church in Champion, OH as a Eucharistic Minister, RCIA Team Member, and an active member of the Women’s Guild. She loved being part of the faith and spiritual formation of her parish family.
She was a very talented artist and a master at cake decorating and loved making specialty birthday cakes for all her grandchildren.
