She was born on July 27, 1932 to the late William Haywood and Katie Francis Pernell Murray in Franklin County, NC.In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband, James Poole; four sons, Keith Champion, Lonnie Haywood Champion, Jeff Champion, and Mike Champion; her sister, Ruby Dement; her grandson Jr Varner, and her great-grandson, Jonathan Tanner.Marie is survived by her children, Ivy Ayscue (James), Walter Champion, Kim Ayscue (Steve), Jerri Champion, Robin Martin (Bobby), and Carolyn Tharrington (Sherwood); twenty-five grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; her canine companion Tiny, and her parakeet Petey.Marie was a faithful member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Alert until her health no longer allowed her to attend. She was the proud mother of ten children and loved all her many grandchildren. Marie enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music, especially the Gaithers, and Joey + Rory. Marie loved flowers and birds. She made many trips to her favorite place, Cherokee in the NC Mountains. Marie was a hard-working woman, where she worked many years at the sewing factory in Justice.As her health declined, Marie was blessed to have many caretakers that included both family and friends. Special thank you to Robin and Bobby Martin, Haley Martin, Bryan Godinez and Nevaeh Grace Godinez, Tonya Creech, Trevor Martin, Davon Everett, Christina Mills, Joshua Mills, and Serenity Castillo for the care they provided.Family will receive friends and visitors on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 7pm to 9pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. He was born on June 23, 1949, in Granville County, NC to the late James and Juanita Champion Cash.In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his four sisters, Annie, Dot, Becky and Mary Lee; five brothers, Junior, Walter, Joe, Howard and William Cash.Randy is survived by his wife of 19 years, Crystal Ball Cash; two sons, William A. Cash (Debbie) and Randy L. Cash Jr. (Renee); one daughter, Emily Wilkins; one brother, Roy B. Cash (Esther); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his nephew, David Curtis; his fur babies, Bruno and Winslow; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.Randy was a faithful member of Crystal River Church of God in Henderson. He had a true servant’s heart and loved to help anyone in need whether that was cutting their grass, or just being there when there was a task he could help with. Randy enjoyed tinkering with model cars and lawn mowers and fishing. He was very artistic and could draw almost anything. He collected hats, unique flashlights and pens. He and his wife Crystal ran a shop at the local flea market, and just genuinely loved being in each other’s company. Randy enjoyed music especially gospel, country and his favorite, The Breeze by Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was a kindred soul and will be missed tremendously.A Celebration of Life will be held, arrangements are still pending at this time and will be updated as soon as possible.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services.

Dickerson; and his sister, Eula Mae Davis Thomas was a lifelong resident of Franklinton where he was a farmer and enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors. He was a private man that enjoyed history and appreciated the old way of life , free from the interruptions of technology. Thomas was a craftsman with his hands and was always building on the farm.Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1245 Mt. Olivet Church Road , Franklinton, NC with Reverend Carl Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mike served as a deacon at Corinth Baptist Church, where he also served on the building and grounds committee. Mike loved his family and was a man you could depend on. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Corinth Baptist Church, 4582 US 401 Hwy N. Louisburg, NC 27549, where funeral services will be held 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at all other times at the home.
