Mr. Crump was born March 2, 1963 in Youngstown, a son of Douglas Spencer Clark and Ella Crump.  He attended The Rayen School and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  Kevin was employed as a construction worker and worked in the steel mills of Youngstown, and in Pittsburgh as a lift driver.
He leaves to forever cherish his memories, his mother of Youngstown; a sisters, Kim Williams, Stephanie Hall and Rhonda Carter all of Youngstown, and Regina Gowans of Virginia; three brothers, Rahmanh Shaw of Youngstown, and Michael Spencer and Douglas Spencer Clark II both of Myrtle Beach, SC; a special friend, Dennis Kerns of Youngstown; nieces and nephews who he loved dearly; godsons, Anthony Burch, Baldwin Dawkins and Shawn Williams; two aunts, Myrtle Metts of Liberty and Ann Bost of Youngstown; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Obituary Preview: Mr. Cicero Lampley, 69, of Liberty Twp., transitioned from this earthly life on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Mr. Lampley was born November 1, 1952 in Alabama, a son of Jesse and Eula White Lampley.  He was a 1971 graduate of North High School and attended Youngstown State University.  Cicero had worked as assembler with General Motors Lordstown for 30 years, retiring in 2008.  He was a member of Price Memorial A. M. E. Zion Church.   His passion was being with his family, however, he also enjoyed fishing.
He leaves to mourn his passing, but to rejoice in his eternal peace, his wife, the former Sheila Pardue; three children, Sabrina Francis of Haines City, Florida, Laponica Lampley of Youngstown and Parnell (Tori) Pardue whom he reared of Liberty; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; his sister, Margie Roller of Youngstown; and a host of family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Denechia Lampley; a sister, Elaine Crankfield; and three brothers, Richard , Jesse, Jr. and Jerry Lampley; a grandson, DaSanti Lampley.

Mrs. Laster was born June 24, 1953 in Youngstown, a daughter of Samuel Sr. and Garnell “Dolly” Carter Haskins.  She was a graduate of North High School and received her Associate Degree from ITT.  She was a member of Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church where she served as former church secretary, a Bible Study student and a member of the culinary ministry.  She traveled to many of the church conventions; was a member of the National Council of Negro Women and several book clubs.  Darlean enjoyed reading, studying African Culture, research, shopping, antiques, bus trips and collecting coins and dolls.
She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her eternal peace, four children, Cornelius (LeAnn) Laster of Youngstown, Johnnie Laster, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY, W. Jerome (Levonia) Laster of Manhattan, NY, and Nicole Laster of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her brother, Samuel Haskins Jr. of Centerville, OH; two sisters, Corlis (Thomas) Green and Elaine Bevly both of Youngstown; a dear friend and mother of Johnnie, Jerome and Nicole, Rosa Laster; and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie James Laster Sr., whom she married April 27, 1997 and who passed away April 28, 1999; two brothers, Otis Dancy and Mark Haskins.

Mrs. Blackshear was born May 21, 1937 in Youngstown, a daughter of William Hamp Sanders and Ruth Cornelius Jennings.  She was a 1955 graduate of Hubbard High School and attended ITT.  Florence had worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for 14 years at Northside Hospital and the former Little Forest Nursing Home, retiring in 1990.  She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, the N.A.A.C.P., A.A.R.P. the Faithful Few Neighborhood Group, and the Order of Eastern Stars.
She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her eternal peace, her children, Anita R. Blackshear, Aileen (Lorenzo) Wheeler and Robert Blackshear III all of Youngstown; a sister, Freda (Clyde) Burton of Norfolk, VA; a brother, Willie Jennings of Youngstown; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blackshear II; her son, William Cornelius Blackshear; and her daughter, Regina Joyce Blackshear.

Mrs. Miller was born January 24, 1951 in Youngstown, a daughter of Lum and Lottie Thornton Martin.  She was a 1969 graduate of North High School.  Linda had been employed for 33 years as a machine operator at Delphi Packard Electric, retiring in 2006.  She was a former member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.  She enjoyed sewing, traveling, bowling, shopping, and most of all being with her beloved family and friends.  She also enjoyed listening to music and was a big fan of Bootsy Collins.
She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her eternal peace, her husband, Jerome R. Miller Sr., whom she married August 27, 1969; a daughter, Angela Venable; a grandson, Arquise Miller whom she helped raise; a great grandson, Jayceion Miller all of Youngstown; a brother, Alfred (Debra) Martin of Texas; a sister, Jeanette (James) Harris of Youngstown; and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerome R. Miller, Jr.; two brothers, James and Kenneth Martin; and two sisters, Joyce Collins and Jorita Martin.

Mr. Dorsey, affectionately known as “Little Will”, was born September 1, 1988 in Youngstown, a son of the late George Dorsey and Elsa Bunn.  He attended The Rayen School.  After school, Mr. Dorsey worked alongside his father, uncle and brothers learning multiple trades, including construction, electrical and plumbing which lead him to start his own business named Eugene LLC.  He was a lover of all things art, and his hobbies included tattoos, tattooing and drawing.
Little Will was a loving father who leaves to treasure his memories six children, William Dorsey Jr., America Favors and Giovanni Dorsey all of Youngstown, Brooklyn and Jamal Davis of Derby, Connecticut, and Charles Holms of Columbus; his loving mother, Elsa Bunn; seven brothers, Devin Jones, Jermaine Bunn, , Alexander Clyburn, Amory Dorsey, Deandre Clyburn, Brailyn Bunn, and Phillip Turner; four sisters, Kenya Jones, Alana (Derrick) Oliver, Amaris Dorsey and Brieanna Bunn; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George; his son, Devion Dorsey; his brother Kenneth Bunn; and both sets of grandparents.

She leaves to forever cherish her precious memories, three sons, John Houser Jr. of Aliquippa, PA, Javon and Jamar Houser both of Youngstown; eight grandchildren; two brothers, James Cianciola of California and Derrick Cianciola of Sharon, PA; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a sister Kurella Cianciola; a niece, Lonna Cianciola; and a grandson, Jamar Houser Jr.

She enjoyed crafts, reading, traveling, astrology as well as star gazing and the study of family genealogy. Marcie also like current events and world facts. She was always the first person to say “I Love You”.
She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her eternal peace, her husband, Larry of Boardman; her devoted daughter, Ni’kisha Hills with whom she made her home; two brothers, Alton (Natachia) Sinkfield of California, and Darrell Sinkfield of Youngstown; and a host of loving family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Louise Jones and Rachel Parker.

She was a 1976 graduate of South High School and attended Youngstown State University.  Lana married her lifelong love, Pastor Todd L. Revis and was the First Lady and member of the Revealing Truth Tabernacle Church where she served in the financial ministry.
She was presently employed in quality control with Premier Bank (previously Home Savings & Loan Bank) for 20 years. Lana was the owner/operator of Dollars Make Cents, a company helping others with finances. In 2018 she opened eBeauty & Health, an ecommerce online health and beauty store. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid billiards player. Four quarters and cup of Coca Cola and she could play all night. Opponents never saw the loss coming.
She leaves to forever cherish her memory, her husband, Todd; daughter, Shawnna Turner; stepchildren, Brianna Revis, Sammera Revis, Bryce Revis and Mikayla Revis all of Youngstown; grandchildren, Tiana, Antwane, Jeremiah, Ariyah, Amari and Adrian; three great grandchildren; her father and stepmother, Jake and Dorothy Turner of Youngstown; brothers, Jake Turner, Jr. of Canton and Pastor Karlton (Kayra) Turner of Anderson, IN; sisters, Tanya (Llewellyn) Nelson, Carmen (Jerry) Cole, Minister Trina (Min. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his wife, the former Paula Ford; a daughter, Brittney Brown of McKeesport, PA; stepdaughter, Shannon Williams of Youngstown; four grandchildren, De’Shay and Tristan Brown, Amya Ford and K’Len Williams; siblings, Theordore (Mary Jane) Kirby Jr., Warren Kirby, Jeff Kirby, his twin, Ronald Kirby; and his sister, Lacreshia “LaLa” Hawes; and a host of sister and brother-n-laws, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Ms. Abron was born July 31, 1931 in Marion, Alabama, a daughter of Andrew Sr. and Sarah Agher Williams.  She was a graduate of Carver High School and received her certification for CRCST (Certified Registered Central Science Technician from Mid-Ohio Chapter International Association of Hospital C.S. M.  She had been employed as CRCST technician at Forum Health Northside Hospital, retiring after over. 25 years of service.  She was a member of The Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was Church Mother, served in the choir and mission ministries.  She was a member of the N.A.A.C.P.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, singing, cooking, shopping, traveling, and reading her Bible.
She leaves to cherish her life and legacy three children, Gloria J. Cowan of Campbell, Michelle R. (Jessie Jr.) Bush of Las Vegas, NV and Willie J. Cowan Jr. of Youngstown; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Andrew (Shirley) Williams, Jr. of Columbus; and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mildred D. Cross and Phyllis L. Cowan.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m.  Due to the pandemic, all guests are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing.

He was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who touched the lives of those around him.  He dedicated his life to serving his country in Vietnam and raising his son Charlie III, and was very proud of both of those accomplishments.  Charlie Jr. had a passion for reading and writing, he even wrote a book that he requested to be published upon his death.  He was also a collector of fine arts and antiques.
He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy his son, Charlie III (Nichole) Carlisle of Boardman; stepson, Robert Reynolds of Detroit, MI, and stepdaughter, Felicia Elliot of Georgia; two sisters, Theoline Murray of Detroit and Julia Mae Amos of Alabama; two brothers, Lemuel Carlisle of Cleveland, and Lemar Sr. (Diane) Carlisle of Youngstown; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren and his best friends, Mark Elliott and Glenn Burch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Felicia Cottrell Carlisle; his daughter, Carlina Joy Carlisle; two sisters, Lenora Watkins and Stella McCaskill; a brother, Earl Q. Washington; a brother-in-law, Ray Murray; and a best friend, Eric Gordon.

Mrs. Caffey was born January 20, 1939, in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Pearl McCaskill Franklin. She was a 1957 graduate of Wellsville High School. She retired from Forum Health Hospitals in 1985 after 25 years of service in the Dietary Department. Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Beulah Temple United Holy Church. She loved interior decorating, gardening, and cooking. She especially loved her wonderful family and went to great lengths to make sure her husband, children, and grandchildren were well taken care of.
Barbara leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her eternal peace three children, Debra L. Caffey of Youngstown, Samuel C. (Barbaran) Caffey of Howland, and Felicia J. (Myron) Lewis of Akron; two grandchildren, Samuel (Emily) Caffey of Cincinnati and Samarra J. Caffey of Niles; a brother, Donald “Tim” Franklin of Wellsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel C. Caffey Sr., whom she married September 17, 1960, and who passed away May 16, 2013; four brothers, Robert, James, Raymond, and William Franklin; five sisters, Irene Funderburg, Dorothy Franklin, Margaret Ann Franklin, Carolyn Franklin, and Josephine Zanders.
We know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She may be gone, but she will forever be remembered.

Nell was a former member of Third Baptist Church and a present member of Victory Christian Center. She was also a member of the Jewish Community Center.
Nell was an impeccable dresser and she loved clothes. Nell loved making crafts, gift baskets, crocheting, singing, and was a participant with Fred Astaire Dance Studio. She believed in holistic healing and healthy eating. She won the 1996 Mrs. Ohio America contest also receiving the award for Mrs. Congeniality.
She leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her life and legacy, her children, Gwendolyn Hudson of Youngstown, Cheryl Townsend of Stonecrest, GA, Kenneth Mauldin of Ellenwood, GA, Darryl Mauldin of Atlanta, GA, Carl (Illa) Willis of Boardman, Keenya Willis of Youngstown, Keisha Willis of Decatur, GA, and Kolotta Willis of Duluth, GA; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Nester, who passed away in December 2017, her parents Jesse and Rosetta Jackson; a son Ronald Eugene Mauldin; a great granddaughter, Laila Whatley; and two sisters, Louise Clark and Annie Hampton.

Dorothy was a long time member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, as a trustee and church secretary. She loved to have fun with friends and family, travel to lodge events and loved to line dance and to follow Lebron James wherever he played.
Surviving family left to cherish her are her loving children, Bryant Gillespie and Kimberley Kelley both of Campbell; granddaughter, Brittney Gillespie; grandson, Brandon Candler of Detroit, Michigan; godson, Ronald “Pepi” Cash of Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Henry; parents, four brothers, LenoffLand, Leon Kelley, Alphonso Kelley and Edward Kelley; sister, Bertha Kelley Royster.

Mathew Brady - February 07, 1938 - February 10, 2022

Obituary Preview: Matthew Brady, 84, known to his family and friends as Fred, Brady and Big Uncle, was born Monday, Feb. 7, 1938, and departed on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022.
Fred was quiet, humble, hardworking and generous. He was an avid reader, a lover of sports, enjoyed puzzles, was a wonderful painter of portraits, and had a keen interest in politics and world affairs, but what he loved the most was watching his children and grandchildren.
Matthew was born the eighth child to Frank and Emma Donely Brady in Youngstown. He graduated from South High School in 1956, where he was a star football player. That same year, he began working at Youngstown Sheet and Tube.
He was drafted into the Army in 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1963, whereupon he returned to steel work and received his stationary engineering license. He remained in the steel industry until 1981. His career as a stationary engineer would end at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where he worked for 22 years until his retirement in 2013.
Fred and Laura met when he was 8 and she was 4 years old. Many years later they married, on Sept. 5, 1964. They were married for 57 years and had seven children.
Fred will be dearly missed by his wife, Laura Emma Thornton Brady; and his children, Tisha P. Brady, Pia Brady, Jada Brady, (Andre) Ian Brady, Avery (Patrice) Brady, Leah Brady and Aaron Brady. He was also greatly loved by his four grandchildren, Julien and Justin Aina, Hannah Brady and Ava Brady; his sister-in-law, DeLois Grant Brady; brother-in-law, Ronald Thornton; niece, Lenore Brady, whom he helped to rear; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Frank (June) Brady Jr., Edward Brady, Norman (Bobby) Brady, Helen Brady Traylor, Herbert (Billy) Brady, Margaret Brady, Eleanor (Betty) Brady Owens; and most recently, by his youngest brother, Samuel (Dickie) Brady.
Services for Fred will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home Inc., where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; his father who reared him,  Robert Mitchell III; two uncles, Joseph and Tee Hollaway; two cousins, Barbara Freeman and Mike Jackson; and sister-in- law, Kyona D. Hooker.
