He was born on July 11,1942, in Pennsboro, West Virginia, to Junior and Mary (Taylor) Cottrill.
David retired from Republic Steel after 42 years of service, loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping with his wife and children.
Those left to cherish his memory are children David (Jeanette) Cottrill, Douglas (Christine) Cottrill, Abbie Cottrill (Tim Schmidt), Butch Jett, Jeff (Rose) Jett, Debbie (Bob) Mauter, Cindy (Harvey) Steiner; 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren, and son-in-law, Steve Hoover.
He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife of 56 years Treva (Rockstroh) Cottrill; daughters, Tami Hoover and Kathy Mendell; son-in-law, Rick Mendell and daughter-in-law, Lisa Jett.
A celebration of life will be March 25, 2023  at 2pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Jay McClain officiating with visitation prior to the service , 12pm-2pm.

A funeral service will be Friday, March 17, 2023, 12pm at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Williams officiating. Visiting hours will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Welty Cemetery near   Brewster.

Obituary Preview: Carol Jean Mason, age 88 of East Sparta, passed away on March 5, 2023 at Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar following a brief illness.
She was born on March 21, 1934 in Canton to the late Harold “Jack” and Georgianna “Ann” (Manly) Lewis.
Carol was a 1952 graduate from Canton South High School.
She was a loyal employee at Malavite Excavating Inc. for over 51 years.
Carol enjoyed her trips and was a faithful fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers & Guardians baseball. She loved to play cards, especially with her monthly card club ladies whom she loved dearly.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Chet (Sandy) Mason, Cindy (John “Shorty”) May, and Chris Mason; grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Russell and John (Ashley) May; great-granddaughters, Lela, Georgie, and Evelyn Russell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving sweetheart, Gust Malavite Sr. whom she shared more than 44 years with; a brother, Robert Lewis Sr.; and a sister, Virginia Walker.

She deeply touched all those around her, and found a way to brighten everyone's day. She always put others before herself and would help anyone who had a need. Even in death, she wanted us all to smile and rejoice that she was going home to meet Jesus. A joyous life has left the earth, but we now have a beautiful angel looking down upon us.

Francis "PJ" C Bell - November 23, 1943 - February 25, 2023

Obituary Preview: Francis C. Bell “PJ”, 79 died February 25, 2023, with his family by his side following a brief illness.
He was born November 23, 1943, in Canton, OH to Francis Henry and Margaret Irene Delores Bell. He attended St. Mary’s Church and school as a child with his family. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961.
PJ could accomplish anything he set his mind to do, from bull riding to building toboggan slides with his lifelong friends at Bear Creek.  He started his own business - PJ’s Body & Welding, in 1977, and invented a design for a patented cycle carriage for towing motorcycles. He was a welder by trade, and this was the inspiration to his many accomplishments in life. His business has grown into a successful precision metal fabrication and powder coating operation (PJ’s Fabricating, Inc), that continues to be family run and operated.
He was fearless in every adventure he pursued and lived his best life. His hobbies and interests included motorcycles, dirt bikes, dune buggies, and snowmobiling and good rock-n-roll/blues music.
He is survived in death by his children, Teresa (Kevin) Pollard, Brandy Moore, Jennifer (Benjamin) Turner, Francis P (Rebecca) Bell, and Kathleen (Sam) Nelson; his grandchildren, Amber Greene, Magena Wasilewski, Allison Pollard, Khord Moore, Kennedy Moore, Abigail Turner, Levi Turner, Hadley Turner, Kory Bell, Xane Nelson, and Zeke Nelson and numerous great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings, Kathleen Hohler and Raymond Bell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Irene Delores Bell and Francis Henry Bell; his siblings, Danny Bell, Timothy Bell, and MaryAnn Boughner.
Calling hours will be held at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in Canton South on March 05, 2023, from 11:00AM – 3:00PM. There will be no funeral service per his request. A celebration of his life will be hosted at the Canton South Social Hall at 4845 Wiseland Ave. SE Canton, OH 44707 immediately following the conclusion of his calling hours.

In life, Dorothy was a loving Mother and Grandmother.  A loyal parishioner of All Nations Tabernacle for nearly 40 years, she loved her church and was an active member of the community there until she was no longer physically able. She, along with her famous Texas Sheet Cake, will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Hyde; sons, Robert Ricci (Sandy) and James Hyde (Jackie); siblings, Margaret Nadeau (Paul), Gloria Lockwood (Bob), Thomas Yarosis (Caroline), James Anthony Yarosis, and Michael Yarosis (Bonnie).
She is survived by her sister, Ann Sirois (Ed); children, Michael Ricci (Linda) and Lori Katsaras (Gus); grandchildren, Matthew Ricci, Brett Ricci (Angela), Tyler Ricci, Nick Ricci, James Hyde (Shondra), Stefanie Wheeler (Eric), Nathaniel Hyde (Morgan), Jennifer Bender (Steven), Bill Hyde, and her grandson and caregiver, Spiros Katsaras, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all loved her very much.

He was born in Bellaire, Ohio on January 31, 1935, to the late William and Florence (Adams) Donahue.  He is a 1952 graduate of Bellaire St. John High School. Jerry married his wife Connie (Krone) Donahue on April 21, 1956.
Jerry was employed by Ford Motor Co for 39 years until his retirement.  He later drove school bus for Canton Local Schools for 12 years.  He is a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Jerry was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Canton, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis, and the Canton South Men’s Club.  He enjoyed golfing, was an avid sports fan, and loved watching his children and grandchildren in their sporting events.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and one sister.
He is survived by Daughter Coleen (Chuck) Roska, three sons, Gerald (Alison) Donahue, Gil (Megan) Donahue, Greg Donahue, twelve grandchildren Lauren (Pete) Tsaftarides, Kristin (David) Glyder, Jacob Donahue, Jared Donahue, Garret Donahue, Ellyse Donahue, Lexi Rohrer, Avery Donahue, Ashlyn Donahue, Luke Donahue, Bryce Donahue, Addison Donahue, three great-grandchildren Jordan Glyder, Celia Tsaftarides, Gage Glyder, three brothers, five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Special “Thank You” to a family friend Pat Koller.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 10am. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton with Fr. Thomas Kraszewskias as celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.

A graduate of Canton South High School, Dale was a Mercedes Technician at Kempthorn Motors.  A U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, he was a motorsports enthusiast who loved cars, the Cleveland Browns and Guardians.  His greatest love was for his family, whatever was important to them, was important to Dale.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dale is survived by his children, Chris (Amy) House and Stacy (Pete) Mickey, and their mother, Margo Grant; sons, Cody House and Connor House, and their mother, Patricia House; grandchildren, Ben, Owen and Mason House; sister, Gloria (Ralph) Wellendorf; and brother, Terry (Pat) House.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Bailey officiating.

She was born on August 11, 1934, in Hiawassee, GA to Boyd and Monteree (Garrett) Nicholson.
Ruby graduated from Town County High School. She came to Ohio in the 1950s from her hometown in GA. She brought her expertise in large southern vegetable gardening.
Ruby was known as an expert seamstress, in her earlier years she was a personal tailor for local business executives, especially her favorite client Nola.
She also made cheerleading uniforms for the local schools and organizations. Ruby ran the fabric department at Ben Franklin for many years.
In her later years, Ruby had a successful career at Rite Aid where she then retired at the age of 82.
She was a devoted Christian and was a member at New Vine Baptist Church in Malvern, OH.
Ruby was an expert at quilting, she loved fishing, baking, and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Stan (Vicky) Gilreath and Steve Gilreath; brothers, Kenneth, Lowell and Gary Nicholson; sister-in-law, Joyce Nicholson and granddaughter Kelly Gilreath, also many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rufus “Ed” Gilreath who died on July 7, 2007 and whom she happily married on September 9, 1954, a sister Jeannett, brothers ML and Noel.

She is survived by her daughter Frances (Jack) Sterling;  husband Herb Bell; grandchildren Evett Pugh, Shauna (Tom) Kennedy, Nicole (Nick) Ward, and Storm (Grace) Bell; step children Keith (Lorraine) Bell and Faith Bell; great grandchildren Adrian, Carter, Rosalynn, Zann, Alex, Andrea, Nathaniel, Alison, Ian and McKenna; sister Martha (Bill) Fogle, and many more family and friends.
Jennie was very active and enjoyed her careers with Fishers Foods, where she worked for many decades as head cashier and Bells Concessions where she traveled the state teaching her family the importance of hard work on the carnival circuit. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren. Every summer she would make the simplest pleasures, like gardening, day trips, and running in the yard with sprinklers feel like magical adventures. She took great pride in all of her grandchildren and loved attending their graduations, sporting events, concerts, and recitals. She gave long, strong hugs and always reminded her family that wherever we go we should go with God.  She could be trusted to share exactly what was on her mind in any situation, but her door and kitchen were always open to family and friends and her amazing baked goods, made with love, will be sorely missed.
