Obituary Preview: Gloria Johnson, of Port Ewen, NY, daughter of the late Maude and Charles Cole, passed away peacefully with her daughter, Candace, by her side on Monday, February 28, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Johnson, and sisters Ruth, Vera, and Janice. Survivors include twin daughters, Candace (Joseph) Erena of Port Ewen, NY and Pamela (Dennis) Emken of St. George, Utah; granddaughter, Daniela (John) Esposito of New Milford, CT and three great-granddaughters, Gabriela, Alexa, and Giovanna, and many nieces and nephews. Gloria graduated from Kingston High School in 1939. While in High school, she worked as a candy striper and switchboard operator at the Benedictine Hospital. Upon graduation, she worked as a telephone operator for the NY Telephone Company in Kingston, then, during WW II, she transferred to Norfolk, VA. Following the war, Gloria returned to NY Telephone, rising in her career as Chief Operator in Woodridge, Bath, and Ellenville, NY, later returning to Kingston and ending her career after 42 years. She was a life member of the NY Telephone Company Pioneers. She and her husband Robert worked as volunteers at People´s Place for over 30 years and at the Klyne Museum in Esopus. Their greatest pleasure was renovating their 17th century home in Port Ewen and to which Gloria took great joy in inviting everyone she met to ¨Come over for a swim!¨ Gloria enjoyed travel, she adored all of her girls (twins, granddaughter, great-granddaughters), she loved to be with her family, her friends, and her beloved pets. She will be missed by all who knew her.Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466, where family and friends may visit on Friday March 4, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 10am with burial following in Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, NY.

Obituary Preview: Raymond Joseph Dorritie, 89, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at home in Kingston, NY. He was born December 7, 1931 in Queens, NY, son of the late Raymond and Julia (O'Connor) Dorritie.
Raymond was married to Dolores (Dale) Dorritie, Dolores passed away in November 1986. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954. He worked as a Court Clerk for New York State in the Supreme Court Building in the Bronx N.Y.
Raymond is survived by his sons, Michael Dorritie of Port Ewen and Kevin Dorritie of Kingston. In addition to his wife and parents, Raymond is predeceased by his children, Raymond Dorritie and Kathy Dorritie, his grandchildren, Kassandra Dorritie, Julia Dorritie, and Matthew McNally, as well as his sisters, Edna Monaghan, Grace Villano, and Mary Fitton.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466, where family and friends may visit on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church, 160 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401 on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
