Andrew Clive Jones - December 06, 1965 - March 25, 2024

Departed: 03/25/2024 (Lincoln Park)
Obituary Preview: Andrew Clive Jones, 58, a beloved and inspiring creative force, passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2024.
Born on December 6, 1965, in Bristol, United Kingdom, Andrew was the first son of Graham and Diane Jones. After studying Communication for Graphic Arts at Brunel University, he worked in printing and design before realizing his dream of coming to America in 1992. While he took immense pride in his roots and heritage from the United Kingdom, he was equally proud to have become a U.S. citizen in 2022.
For over 30 years, Andrew had a successful career in graphic design, but his true calling was as a teacher at Passaic County Technical-Vocational Schools. For the past decade, he taught graphic design, digital media, and animation with boundless passion. Andrew cared deeply for his students, going above and beyond to inspire and provide them with the tools to achieve their creative visions.
Andrew was a Renaissance man—a writer, builder, artist, photographer, and musician with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. His inquisitive mind, intelligence, and desire to make the world better were evident in his nuanced nature. Andrew approached life with enthusiasm, finding excitement in the act of creating and inventing things that could improve people’s lives.
To those who knew him, Andrew was a kind, gentle soul who left a lasting impression. He taught everyone around him to live life to the fullest, love unconditionally, and never give up on their dreams. His caring spirit and mission to help others defined who he was. “Andrew was the most loving, thoughtful, and caring person I’ve ever known,” his wife reminisced. “He had me at ‘Ello.’ A creative, passionate, and inspiring force, he could accomplish anything he set his mind to. I affectionately called him my own Leonardo da Vinci. Andrew completed me with his unconditional love, accepting me for who I was, inside and out. Not a single day went by without us sharing laughter and inside jokes in our own special way. I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent the past 17 years by his side. These cherished memories will forever be etched in my heart.” “In Andrew’s own words:”
“Many people that know me, just know one or two facets of who I am, there are few that truly know me... These days I tend to lead a purpose driven life, powered by trying to help anyone that crosses my path and needs a helping hand. “If I have learned anything in this lifetime, it is that if you fight life, life will fight right back (At its core, life simply reflects, returns the very vibrations, and actions we ourselves generate.) Alternatively, if you accept each moment with a smile (a grimace will suffice, hehe) life will give you just what you need when you need it. 🙂 “Give a stranger a smile today, believe in the butterfly effect, you may just cause a tsunami of love!” “If a man for whatever reason has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself.” – Jacques-Yves Cousteau
Andrew is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife DeAnne Finamore-Jones and their beloved fur babies, Bugsy, and Mimi. He leaves behind his son Gavin Jones, daughter-in-law Nikita Jones, and precious granddaughter Gaia Jones, as well as his daughter Emma Jones. Andrew will be deeply missed by his parents Diane and Graham Jones, brothers Nick Jones and partner Sara Hodgson, their daughter Katie Jones, and brother Paul Jones, wife Petra Jones, and dog Ronnie. He will also be missed by his father-in-law, Robert A. Finamore, brother-in-law Robert J. Finamore, sister-in-law Patrice Finamore, niece Sabrina Finamore, and nephew Bobby Finamore. He will forever be cherished by so many relatives and friends in the UK, as well as all his family, friends, colleagues, and students in the U.S.
A visitation will be held at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ, on Saturday, March 30th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 2 p.m.

Arthur Marino - January 28, 1929 - March 04, 2024

Departed: 03/04/2024 (Lincoln Park)
Obituary Preview: Arthur Marino, 95, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born in Paterson, NJ and lived in Haledon for 73 years before moving to Hillsborough in 2010. He was a notoriously hard working, helping to support his family at the age of 14 with a variety of part time jobs, including working as a shoeshine in a barber shop, delivering newspapers, and working at the local ballpark (for a bookie!), where he met and got an autograph from Babe Ruth himself. He served in the National Guard and became a Store Manager for A&P Supermarkets until his retirement. He was a member of UFCW No. 464 in Little Falls, NJ and a former parishioner of St. Paul’s R.C. Church of Prospect Park, NJ.
Arthur was widely known as the best chef around, as well as the Christmas Cookie master. He made the most delicious roast beef and gravy from scratch for every holiday, a recipe he learned from his mother, and he baked and hand decorated birthday cakes for his family throughout their lives. Arthur’s skill and passion for cooking was passed down from his mother and his father, who served as the Personal Chef to General Pershing during World War I. Every Christmas Arthur would fill an entire closet full of fresh-baked cookies and share them with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, the Church, senior centers, and even his grandkids’ workplaces. Requests for his famous cookies would start coming in months in advance!
He continued his family legacy by teaching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren how to cook, including homemade pasta and his award-winning sauce, which won the Best Marinara Sauce in NJ Award at the Statewide Italian Festival. He also passed down his famous cookie baking skills to his family, forming the “Cookie Crew” with his three great grandsons. In addition to his renowned abilities as a chef, Arthur was reputed for his kind and generous heart, dedicating much of his time to charitable causes. He collected baked goods for the Senior Center and the Church, making friends with all the local food markets to collect overstocked items which would have otherwise gone to waste. He also volunteered at various homeless shelters and soup kitchens. Arthur was dedicated to the Church, helping cook thousands of pierogies for them to sell at their annual fundraising carnival each year, and he was a huge supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For the past three years he helped with his daughter’s “Keith Urban Fans, Monkeys and Mates” stuffed animal drive. This past year, Arthur and Debra collected an all-time high of 583 stuffed animals for sick children at the Ronald McDonald House in New Brunswick and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune. Their efforts yielded nearly 10% of the worldwide charity drive’s total collected stuffed animals this year, which was almost 7,000!
Arthur was a true people person who could light up a room with his smile and welcoming nature. He was a joker, who always had a new cheesy joke to share whenever he saw you, and he seemed to know absolutely everyone. He loved to travel with his wife, Betty, going all around the world including to his family’s hometown, Friene, in Abruzzi, Italy, to Wales, to Hawaii, to Branson, Missouri, and to Hollywood, CA, where he met Joe DiMaggio. He was a huge Yankees fan who enjoyed watching Westerns, and classic movies and TV shows.
Above all else, Arthur was a loving and caring family man. He said that the meaning of life was having the love of a family and that the best advice he ever received was to be honest, even if people didn’t like what you had to say, and to love your family, since they are the ones who will always be there for you. He was chivalrous, having met his wife by giving her a ride home in a massive snowstorm (and then getting the car stuck in front of her house), always showed integrity, and put his family first, taking care of them and giving them love each and every day.
He was a beloved husband to the late Elizabeth “Betty” Marino, and devoted father of Debra Marino and Marilyn Villano. Dear brother of the late Esther Petruccelli, Anita Gennarelli and Andy and James Marino. Loving grandfather of Kelly Buist, Jamie Marino, Matthew Villano and Melanie Villano. Cherished great grandfather of Lucas, Jackson and Hunter Buist and Rosie and Cora Villano.

Departed: 01/16/2024 (Lincoln Park)
Obituary Preview: All people die, but not all people live. Tim lived!
On March 24, 1985, in Pequannock NJ, Randy and Marianne Walker welcomed their youngest child, Timothy Alexander Walker into the world. As Tim grew up in Lincoln Park, he transformed from a self described “weird, but friendly” kid, into a remarkably talented athlete, as well as a naturally gifted scholar. He played football and rugby at Columbia University, the latter of which took him on some of the most memorable trips of his life. Not long after graduation, Tim worked at the Buckley School before securing a position at Chapel Hill Academy. In the very early days of this job, Tim found that not only was he a consummate educator, it was a profession that lit a fire in his soul. It was this experience that led him to pursue and complete both a teaching degree and principal’s certificate at Montclair State University. It was also this job that led him to the love of his life, his wife Cory. He married her on the second happiest day of his life, and soon followed the happiest day, the birth of Tim and Cory’s son, Cameron John Walker. Tim spent the rest of his life in love with his little family. Tim passed peacefully at home in Sparta NJ, being comforted by his family.
Remaining Earthside to invigorate Tim’s legacy are his wife Cory Jackowski, as well as his pride and joy, his son Cameron; his parents Randy and Marianne Walker; his sisters Jill De Francesco (Mike) and Lisa Wolff-Walker (Dan) along with his gaggle of nieces, each of whom he adored; his loyal and treasured pup Snickers; a legion of students; dozens of comrades and colleagues, as well as countless friends.
And if you are one of the people reading this who is sad, remember what Winnie the Pooh said, "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." Tim would like that.
