Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, in Trenton.
She was born March 25, 1928 in Memphis; daughter of the late Gwendolyn Cook Grimes. She was a Janitress with General Motors for many years, and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by granddaughter, Dawn Shackelford; great grandson, Noah Shackelford; and cousin, Bett Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Kirkpatrick; her parents, Gwendolyn Cook Grimes and Eldon Grimes; and one son, Richard Kirkpatrick.
