Obituary Preview: ROBERT L. ELEAZER, 89, passed away at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital late Wednesday evening following a brief illness.
Mr. Eleazer was a native Shinnecock Indian, who was born on the Shinnecock reservation on Long Island, New York and came to live in the Georgetown area twenty years ago, coming from Hancock, New York.
He worked for the Sikorsky Helicopter Company as a trouble shooter. In his spare time, he enjoyed membership with the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lake Como, going to flea markets and antique car shows. He was Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Janice DiGiovanni; one son, five daughters, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of his life will be held later.

Obituary Preview: WILLIAM ARDEN RADTKE, 79 passed away at his home on Saturday, March 30, 2024, after a brief illness.
Bill was born in San Diego, California and joined the Air Force and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was fortunate enough to play the saxophone with the Air Force marching band. He worked for Southern Bell in Washington, D.C. and he was also an insurance salesman for American General for many years. He owned and operated “Honest Wood Design”. He made enormous chairs for the Disney characters to sit on at the Magic Kingdom. He also designed interiors for many homes and businesses in the area. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William, and Anne Louise (Cravey) Radtke; his stepson, John Hegarty; brother, Michael Radtke; grandson, Timothy Michelman and brothers in law, Mike Morgan and Jim Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia; Daughter, Sherri (Rich) Rogers; Stepdaughter, Christine (Charlie) Demmers; Brothers, Richard Radtke, John (Becky) Radtke and Steve (Vicki) Radtke; Sisters, Carol Takken, Jeannie Williams, Marylou Morgan, and Katie (Brad) Purcell; Grandchildren, Ryan Hunter, Kaylee Lott, and Daniel Michelman; One great-granddaughter, Lily McDonald.
His family will receive friends and family for a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday evening, April 4, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with military honors bestowed by the Air Force Honor Guard. Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Crescent City with Father William Villa officiating.

Mrs. Bullinger came to live in the Georgetown area, coming from East Berne, New York, following her husband’s retirement. She was a homemaker who was the ultimate hostess. She was a devoted Cub Scout leader during her sons’ younger years. Her heart held special affection to the feral cat community, making sure they were fed, neutered, and immunized for many years. She loved to walk and watch sunrises and sunsets each day. She read the bible every day and was a faithful woman who lived her faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, Gerald Bullinger in 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry, Ronnie and Paul Bullinger; daughters, Gail and Tracey Bullinger; brother-in-law, Leonard Bullinger; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the graveside in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Crescent City on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. with Brother Ricky Bybee officiating.

Obituary Preview: Andrew Olowski, 79, of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. He was born in Chemnitz, Germany; in 1945, one month before World War II ended. His father died in the Warsaw Uprising in Auschwitz. He was raised by his mother, Kasia, in Warsaw, Poland. Together, they sold religious paintings on the black market while Andrew received his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. He escaped communism and fled to Italy. Andrew then received a green card to go and work in the US so he fled here with his pregnant wife in the mid 1970’s. He eventually became a United States citizen a few years later. Andrew worked as an electrical engineer on nuclear plants and oil rigs all throughout the US. He understood that land is one of the best investments so he eventually became a real estate broker / investor in Texas, California and Florida. Towards the end of his life, he authored a book titled "Mój sukces w Ameryce - My Success in America". This book is his biography but he also warns of the perils of real socialism / communism. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is preceded in death by his son, Marcin Olowski, mother, Kazimiera Debska and grandfather, Ignacy Welcel.
He is survived by his lover and life partner of 34 years, Elzbieta Maslag, sons, Roger Olowski, Art Olowski (fiancé, Ingrid), and grandchildren, Tati and Damian.
Andrew will be laid to rest alongside his family in Wolski Cemetery in Warszawa, Poland at a later date.

Rhonda was born in Kissimmee, Florida where she worked as a Pre-K Teacher. She and her husband, "Jeff" loved air-boating and she was the past president of Osceola Airboat Association. She came to live in the Pomona Park area a year and a half ago coming from St. Cloud. In her spare time she enjoyed baking, spending time with grandkids, air-boating , and curling up with a good book. She was a member of Word of Faith Bible Church in Crescent City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, "Jeff" and her mother, Carol Barrett.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jeffrey "Jeff" and Candice Breisinger of Pomona Park; her father and step-mother, Ken and Ann Barrett of Johnson City, Tennessee; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Katherine Barrett of Tampa; a sister and brother in law, Cheryl and Leonard Holden of Cullowhee, North Carolina; a brother-in-law (who was more like a son), Rusty Breisinger of Lake Wales; Grandchildren, Trinity and Trysta Kearns and Sage Breisinger.
Memorial services for Rhonda will be held at the Word of Faith Bible Church on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors Richie Thomas and David Beal officiating.

Obituary Preview: Mary Ann Lewis was born February 25, 1943 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. During her lifetime she lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Fort Collins, Colorado; Yankton, South Dakota; Humphrey, Nebraska; Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Miami, Orlando, Palatka, and Crescent City in Florida.
In 1966 she graduated from the University of Albuquerque and began her teaching career. Over many years she taught high school and junior high in several states and in many schools. In this area she taught at Jenkins Meddle School, Palatka High School, and Crescent City Jr./Sr. High School. In 1999 she retired from Putnam County Schools.
Mary Ann and Ron were married in Miami, Florida July 24, 1971. Ron was a Florida State Trooper. He and Mary Ann lived many places and enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends. Their son, Dean, was born in 1978. He was a joy. As a young man, he graduated from the FHP Academy and followed in his dad's footsteps and became a trooper.
Mary Ann loved the beautiful view of Lake Crescent, her family, friends, and dogs (most of which were adopted from shelters). She loved this country and the sacrifices so many have made to keep it free.
She liked to read, have lunch with friends, walk, go to the YMCA, travel, and most of all to be home. She believed that God created people to follow Him on a journey which would someday lead to heaven. She said that she would like to make her last trip to Heaven on the Glory Train.
Mary Ann and Ron enjoyed reading wonderful books, going to movies, playing cards and Scrabble, seeing friends, and watching their son Dean grow in to a fine man.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ron, parents Robert and Margaret Kenworthy, her mother and father-in-law Al and Margaret Lewis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dean & Christine Lewis of Fleming Island.
A Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Jim May officiating. Following services, burial of her ashes will be interred beside her husband in St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

Noah lived in Crescent City most of his life and proudly served his country in Korea with the U.S. Army. Following his tour of duty, he returned to Crescent City where he owned and operated Hardy Boys Trucking. Following his retirement from trucking he was a bus driver for the Putnam County School District for 5 years. In his spare time, he loved fishing, and fishing, and fishing and listening to old school Blues and hanging out with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Noah Hardy, Sr., his son, Noah Manuel Hardy, and brother Richard Hardy.
He is survived by his first wife, Inez Hardy of Clermont; sons, Rodney McRae, and his fiancé LaKesha Barnes of Jacksonville, Anthony (Ebony) Hardy of Groveland, Michael (Sara) Hardy of Crescent City and Matthew Hardy (Charity Davis) of Columbia, South Carolina; daughter, Melessia (Donnie) Lofgren of Clermont; brother, Goler (Jary) Hardy of Crescent City and sister, Eleanor Bush of Jacksonville. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
His cremated remains will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery later.

Illness.
Mr. Williamson was born in Baltimore, Maryland and was a commercial fisherman by trade. He and his wife, Betty would fish 50 – 60 miles offshore for grouper and snapper for weeks at a time. After he retired from commercial fishing he came to live in Putnam County 23 years ago. He always kept his love for fishing but after his retirement he began farming grapes and blueberries at his
home in Satsuma. He was also an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on antique cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Viola M. Williamson and a brother, Lee Clift Williamson. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Jean Williamson, of Satsuma; sons, Danny Benton of Delaware, Robert Hart and Charles Stephens both of St. Augustine; daughters, Linda (Chris) Henderson of Idaho,
Cheryl (Ricky) Millman of Delaware and Brenda Gayle of St. Augustine; sister, Carol Kilgore of Mims, Florida; Numerous grandchildren and lots of great-grandchildren.
It was his wish not to have any services.

Born in Wood County, West Virginia, Gary resided in Crescent City since 2006 coming from Clover, South Carolina where he had resided for 16 years. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Gary had worked as a Crane Operator with Duke Energy in West Virginia for 17 years. He had also previously worked at power plants in West Virginia, Texas, Ohio and South Carolina. Gary was a 32 Degree Mason with Mount Olive Lodge # 3 F&AM in Parkersburg, West Virginia as well as a Shriner. In his leisure time, Gary enjoyed NASCAR and tinkering on his old truck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Earl Wingrove and Betty Jean Hill Wingrove, and 4 brothers, Ray Wingrove, Kenny Wingrove, Mike Wingrove and Roger Wingrove.
Gary is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty Wingrove, a son, Gary Scott Wingrove (Michelle) of New Lexington, OH, a daughter, Tina Engle of Zanesville, OH and 3 grandchildren, Ashlie Harbaugh, Emmalie Engle and Ryan Wingrove.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Phillip Conrad Johnson - November 18, 1955 - December 11, 2023

Obituary Preview: Phillip C. Johnson, 68, Retired teacher from Crescent City Jr./Sr. High School, passed away suddenly at UF Health Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine on Monday evening, December 11, 2023.
He was born in Valdosta, Georgia but spent most of his young adult life in Jacksonville Beach, graduating from Fletcher High School. He served in the military for 6 years. In 1982, he met his wife, Jan Scott. He earned his Bachelors in Education at University of North Florida and then they moved to Seville to help his in-laws, John and Jeanne Scott. He began teaching math in Crescent City, first at Miller Middle School and then at Crescent City Jr.-Sr. High School. He taught more than 4,000 students over the course of 33 years.
His passion for teaching went beyond the classroom, encouraging and motivating many students to run on the Cross-Country team and support the annual Catfish Run. He was known to personally reach out whenever he could to help his students, even inviting them to join him and his family in running various 5Ks or surfing at the beach. He was also “infamous” for offering extra credit in unusual ways, such as joining him in running, biking, or making homemade chocolate chip cookies.
He always stayed busy on the family farm, and through the years he and his wife managed a blueberry farm, fernery, nutritional business, and bred AKC Chocolate Labrador Retrievers.
Another thing he was well known for was his love of the Bible. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed sharing his God-given hope with others whenever he had the chance.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lillian Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jan Johnson of Seville; son and daughter in law, Sam & Karla Johnson of St. Augustine; daughter and son in law, Hannah & Joel Dennerle of Crescent City; brother and sister in law, Gerald & Karen Johnson of New Orleans, Louisiana; sister and brother in law, Patricia & Rodney Pierson of Spring Town, Texas; nephew and spouse, Matthew & Lani Johnson; nieces Brandy and Rebecca Pierson, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnson’s Memorial Service will be held on January 6, 2024 at 2:00pm at Miller Intermediate School auditorium. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm.

Obituary Preview: Oral Roberts Sorrells, 73, passed away at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital late Monday evening, December 4, 2023, with his family at his side.
He was born in Jacksonville but lived most of his life in south Putnam County. He graduated from Crescent City High School in 1969 and played tackle position in football for the Crescent City Rebels. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. After his return he owned and operated Sorrell’s Garage until his death. Oral had been involved with the Crescent City Rotary Club and devoted many years helping with the Catfish Festival as a member of the swamp cabbage cutting team. He was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow for his years of dedicated service. It is the highest award in Rotary. He also mentored many area boys by helping them steer their lives for better outcomes. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, plants, watching football and wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Wiley Sorrells, Sr., his mother, Gladys Crotty, stepfather, George Crotty and sons Danny and Mike.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary; sons, John (Deb), Donald, Tommy (Charmaine) and daughter, Christina (Eric); brothers, Wiley, Jr. (Joy), Robert, Danny (Barbara) and David (Deborah); sisters, Esther, Mollie (Robert), Elizabeth (Jack), and Mitzie (Karl); numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
Oral’s family will welcome guests at the Word of Faith Bible Church for visitation at 10:00 A.M. to the time of service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, with Pastor Richie Thomas officiating services. Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery.

He also enjoyed membership with the Eagle Riders and Harley Owners Group. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and shooting at the gun range. He was also a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona Park.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jane of Crescent City; children, William Richard (Elizabeth) Bila of North Lauderdale, Kymberly Gavone of Utah, Julie Anne Maurer of Deland; brother, Dale Enman and Sister, Carolyn Mooradian of Loxahatchee; grandchildren, Ryan and Kristian Maurer, Bayli and Ava Bila, Amador, and Zavier Chavez; Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Howard L. Barker; a brother Carlos Fingerlos, a sister, Betty Moody and four grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, William Barker, John (Gwen) Barker, Jack (Elizabeth) Barker, Robert Barker (Rose Baker), and James Barker; daughters, Mary (Roger) Bond, Nancy Smith, Doris Dewitt (Glenn Gould), Juanita (Charlie) Harris, and Rose (Aaron)Whitmore; a sister-in-law, Jadis Fingerlos; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive guests for visitation at Word of Faith Bible Church on Saturday, November 18th from 10:00 AM to the time of service at 11:00 AM. with Pastor Richie Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery in Crescent City.
