She is also survived by two sisters, Elsie Weidner, wife of Harvey, of Boyertown, and Katherine Keuchler, of Pottstown, PA, and by 3 grandsons, Joseph Kemmerer, J.R. Kemmerer Jr. and Jacob Moore and 1 great grandchild, along with 2 half-sisters Diane Fisher of Texas and Joanne Franz of Pittsburgh, PA. She was predeceased by her brother Leroy Hoppes, of Oley, PA, sister Alice Schwager, of Bechtelsville, PA. and half-brother Martin Becker.
Public Viewing will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM on Monday, January 16th at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, PA.
Interment is private at the convenience of the family in Spies Zion Cemetery.

Peggy was born in Pottstown, Pa on Dec. 13 1937 to her parents, Parker and Viola Grow.  She was graduated from Pottstown Sr. High School in 1954 and Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pa, in 1958, employed by Pottstown Memorial Hospital for 3 years.  She left to have her 3 children, Kevin, husband of Cheryl; Kelly, wife of Tad Northcott; and Kim Peterson.  In 1972 she was employed at the Reading Hospital & Medical Center and retired in 1999 after 32 years.
Her first husband, Raymond Peterson, died in 1993.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her siblings, Parker Grow Jr.; Phyllis Copenhaver; Patty Harvey, and Perry Grow.  She is survived by her sister, Penny Martin of Colorado; grandchildren, Shannon and Lauren Northcott of California; Stephanie Peterson of Pittsburgh; and Tanner Lamphere of Reading; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be private, please no flowers.

Albert E. Marnelli, 91, of Bernville, formerly of Reading, passed away Wednesday, December 28th, at Mifflin Center, Cumru Twp.
Albert was born in Reading, on August 2, 1931, a son of the late Angelina (Rinaldo) and Giuseppe Marinello. He was the husband of Roselynn N. Marnelli who survives him
He was a member of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church Reading, PA 19601.
He served in the U.S. Marines as a CPL in the Korean War. and he was a member of the Russell M. Butterwick detachment of the Marine Corp. League and the Devil Dogs where he was the Pound Master. He was called Gunny by his Marine buddies and was a devoted  worker for the Toys for Tots caampaign. A lifelong bowler, he was a member of many leagues and has his first 300 game when he was 82 years old. He also loved fishing, hunting, golf and was an avid target shooter.
After the Marines he later worked as a Pipe Fitter at AT&T and Lucent Technology Reading, for 33 years retiring in 1991.
In addition to his wife, Roselynn, Albert is survived by two daughters, Michele M., wife of Thomas J, Bolton, of Reading PA, Tracy, wife of Arthur Wernicki of Bernville with whom he resided with and Joseph, husband of Chrystal Marnelli, of Greenfields. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Christopher Marnelli, Nicole Souders, Thomas and Joshua Bolton, Caitlin and Alexander Wernicki along with 2 great grandchildren Alexis and Cordelia Shirley Public Viewing will be held 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Wednesday, January 4th at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, PA

Obituary Preview: On Saturday, December 24, 2022, Robert Levi Spatz, 72, unexpectedly took his final breath on earth and began his life with his Heavenly Father. He died peacefully in his apartment.
Born in Reading, PA on June 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert Spatz and Florence (Gilham) Spatz. Upon graduating from Reading High School, Robert went and served as a Rifleman in the U.S. Marines. He served in Vietnam and was ranked a Private (E-1). He had specialized instruction on map reading in Washington D.C. and utilized those skills during his time in the service. He was injured during his time in Vietnam when a nearby mortar exploded and this resulted in a piece of shrapnel in his shoulder. Robert was honorably discharged from the service with a Purple Heart. After his time in the service, Robert began employment with Hoffman Industries in Sinking Spring as a steel worker, where he worked for over 30 years.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed being a craftsman and woodworking. He also thoroughly enjoyed listening to music,whether it be on a record or CD and enjoyed a diverse span of genres. He enjoyed collecting records and over the years of collecting developed quite a large collection. Robert also enjoyed spending time baking cookies and fasnachts for his family and friends.
Robert with be deeply missed by his children, Christopher Spatz, husband of Rebecca of Lititz, Michelle Rodriguez of Reading, and Michael Spatz of Wyomissing, as well as by his 5 grandchildren Gabrielle Spatz, Christopher Spatz, II, Geovani Rodriguez Spatz, Anthony Rodriguez Spatz, and Isabella Rodriguez Spatz, and sisters Barbara Messner and Mildred Rimby.
He will be buried in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Obituary Preview: Elizabeth Jane (DiTullio) Koch, 92, passed away December 22, 2022 in the care of Rittenhouse Village and Caring Hospice.  She was born in Cranford, NJ on September 11, 1930 to the late Frank DiTullio, Sr. and Margaret (Dimarco) DiTullio.  Known to most as Betty, she was the widow of Donald Koch who passed in 2012. They had been married for almost 62 years. She was also predeceased by her brother, Frank DiTullio, Jr.
Betty and her brother, Frank, were the owners of the Off Shore Inn, a restaurant in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ that still remains in the family.
She is survived by her three children: Deborah White (Michael), Bernville, PA; David Koch (Mary), Kennesaw, GA; Dale Koch (Sylvia), Brick, NJ.
Betty has seven grandchildren-Meredith Lewis (Brad), Matthew White, Kristin Nielsen (Ned), Daniel White (Meghan), Adam White (Mary), Travis Koch (Kellie) and Derek Koch (Tyler).
She also is blessed with eight great-grandchildren who loved their Gigi: Robby Lewis, Finn White, Jackson White, Jesse Lewis, Michael White, Grady White, Lucy Elizabeth White, and Emily Elizabeth White.
Betty was a golfing member of the Manasquan River Golf Club and played tennis with the Union Landing ladies.  After retiring from the restaurant business, she continued to create homemade soup to offer on the menu.
She enjoyed volunteering for the Point Pleasant chapter of the Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 and the nonprofit Big Hearts to Little Hearts, http://www.bighearts2littlehearts.com.
A celebration honoring Betty will be held in the spring back at the Jersey shore where she lived most of her life.  She’ll be interred with her husband at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.

Sobcynski. She was a member of Our Lady Lourdes Catholic Church, New Holland.  She worked as an RN at Coatesville VA Medical Center, Coatesville for 34 years retiring in 1979. She was a St. Agnes School of Nursing Alumni, Brandywine Hospital Auxiliary, NARFE and AARD. She was jokingly known as the Polish General by the staff at the VA Hospital and she led and developed many programs to benefit our veterans. Eleanor is survived by her brother, Thomas Wydra, of Mt. Carmel and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Ann Wendling and brother, Ray Wydra. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Thomas was born in New Philadelphia, on November 8th, 1929, a son of the late Catherine (McGarrity) and James Edwards. He was a loving husband for 63 years to Margaret A (Martin) Edwards, who passed away in August this year. He must have missed her. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, New Philadelphia and a former member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving his country during the Korean War. Thomas was employed for over 30 years by the Reading Railroad. He enjoyed many years of retirement with his large extended family. As a hobby, Tom loved to buy and sell used cars, go camping, and to look for bargains at garage sales and flea markets. He was an avid football fan always routing for Penn State, Notre Dame, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Thomas was a loving father to his nine surviving children, Frances, wife of Richard Petras, of Ellicott City, MD; Patricia Aguayo, of Hamburg; Michelle Stricker, of Hamburg;  Kathleen Edwards of Leesport; Margaret, wife of Walter Brown, of Wyomissing; Eileen, wife of Scott Wiedenmann, of Reading; Thomas F. Edwards, Jr, of Reamstown; Christopher Edwards, husband of Pauline, of Reading; Martin Edwards, husband of Angela, of Hamburg. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; Mary and Elisabeth Petras, Eric Stoudt, Tony Aguayo, John Stricker, Heather and Austin Urkuski, Sam Hartman, Joshua, Charissa, Jessica, Nicholas Edwards, and Kyle Rentschler and eight great grandchildren. Thomas also has one surviving sister, Elizabeth (Edwards) Bechtel, wife of Joseph, Slatington, Pa., and numerous nieces and nephews who also loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by all. Viewing will be Friday December 2nd  from 6 to 8 PM at Feeney Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 3rd at 10 AM at Holy Cross Parish, 99 N. Obituary Preview: Irma (Leibold) Finn, 93, of Reading, PA, passed away quietly on Saturday November 26, 2022, at Berks Heim Nursing and Rehabilitation Home where she was a resident for 17 months. Born July 9, 1929, in Newside, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul O. and Roma M. (Layton) Leibold.  She lived in Laureldale/Reading. PA, moved to Palm City, FL, for 17 years, and returned to Reading, PA in 2012. She was the wife of Roland E. Finn who passed away November 2, 2010. Irma was a 1947 graduate of Muhlenberg Township High School, and a member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, Laureldale, PA. She was an executive secretary for 27 years at the former Gilbert Associates, Inc., Reading, retiring in 1994. Irma was a member of Eastern Star Golden Rule Chapter (now Reading Chapter) for more than 50 years; Past Matron 1970-71 and, in 1972, a recipient of the International Rainbow for Girls’ Grand Cross of Color. She is survived by her sister, Hilda M. Palmer, Blandon, PA and her brother, Irvin H. Leibold (Linda), Slatington, PA. She is also survived by 15 loving nieces and nephews and one step-niece. Three nieces are also Irma’s goddaughters; Darlene F. (Palmer) Kepley, Denver, PA; Donna M. (Palmer) Garber, Birdsboro, PA and Raelene M. (Leibold) Erb, Reading, PA.Also surviving are three step-daughters, Kathy A. Finn, Jamaica; Suzanne (Finn) Mason, Concord, NC, and Laurie J. (Finn) McGlasson (Timothy), Visalia, CA; 7 step-grandchildren, Sgt. Kyle H. Mason (Shannon), Fort Sam Houston, TX; Jeremy R. Mason, ID; Trevor H. Mason (Tanisha), OR; Breanna K. Schoo (William), Euless, TX; JaMiles Lartey, New Orleans, LA; Scott P. McGlasson, Las Vegas, NV and Kelly L. McGlasson, Visalia, CA; 7 step-great grandchildren, Alysondra, Avianna and Ayden Mason, OR; Carrigan G. Mason, TX; Namiah, Emily and Blake Schoo, TX. Irma was predeceased by four brothers, Lawrence O., Raymond P., Lloyd L. and Lester L. Leibold. Flowers are welcome. Memorial contributions in Irma’s name may be made to Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Ave., Laureldale, PA, 19605. Visitation will be in Laureldale Cemetery Chapel on Thursday December 1st from 11 to 1 PM. Religious service will follow at 1 PM. Interment at Laureldale Cemetery. Obituary Preview: SFC Thomas L. Sewell, (Ret) SFC Thomas L. Sewell, 83, of Wernersville, PA passed away Friday, November 25th, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading, PA.  Thomas was born in Dothan, AL on December 29, 1938, a son of the late Bessie Irell (Cutchens) and Clyde Sewell. He was the husband of Alice (Wiest) Sewell with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Thomas served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1962 as a fixed wing mechanic. A Bronze Star recipient, he also served in the U.S. Army as a SFC in the Vietnam War, serving in the 173 Airborne and also as a door gunner on a Huey Helicopter and as a rotary wing mechanic, retiring with 22 years of service. In addition to his wife, Alice, Thomas is survived by 3 sons Thomas L. Sewell, husband of Debra Sewell, of Federalsburg, MD, Michael D. Sewell, husband of Janet Sewell, of San Antonio, TX, and Mark C. Sewell, Husband of Malissa, of Deming, New Mexico. Thomas is also survived by a sister, Barbara Murphy, and 2 step sisters Quay Lewis and Patsy Sorenson, all of Dothan, Alabama. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter. His interest included automotive mechanics, motorcycling, movie-viewing, and socializing with fellow veterans at the Lebanon VA Medical Center YMCA Gym.  Family gathering from 8-9 Am on Friday, December 2nd from 8-9 AM.  Procession to leaves promptly at 9:15 AM for Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA with full Military Honors.
