The son of Robert T. and Nellie I. (Isenberg) Folckemer, he was born September 3, 1940 in Nanty Glo, PA.
Robert attended the Marion Center Presbyterian Church.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. Surviving is his wife, Cora (Coffman) Folckemer; foster daughter, Ruby Jane Ling; foster son, Dale M. Silvis; and a foster grandson, Jeremy Rodack
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Folckemer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Carolyn “MaMa” Wier, 83, Indiana, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 while at Scenery Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
The daughter of Carl and Nellie (Senkus) Antonizio, she was born March 29, 1939 in Wilkinsburg, PA.
Carolyn packed a punch in her tiny 4’10” body and never minced her words.  She could stop her daughters in their tracks with one look, even as adults.  Carolyn was the heart of her family she was supportive and a rock in their times of need.  She held a soft spot for any animal, especially those that needed fed or sheltered.  Carolyn was an avid Pittsburgh sports and Notre Dame fan.
Her real joy in life, though, were her grandchildren and most recently her great-grandchildren.  All of them were the biggest lights in her life and being their MaMa was her favorite job.
Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Wier of Home, Lynn Wier of Slickville, and Laurie Wier and her fiancée, Josh Fisher of Homer City; sister, Rita Antonizio of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, DJ Gardner, Alicia Henry, Corey (Stephanie) Wier, Thomas Barclay, and Logan Fisher; great-grandchildren, Bradyn Weaver, Piper and Mitchell Wier; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clayton Wier; and a brother, Carl S. Antonizio.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A Blessing Service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.

Obituary Preview: Dorothy (Wells) Weaver, 81, of Marion Center, passed away April 7, 2022, at Communities at Indian Haven.
The daughter of A. Mitchell and Frances (Hawk) Wells, she was born April 28,1940, in Smicksburg, Pennsylvania.  Dorothy was a graduate of Marion Center High School class of 1958.  Following her marriage to Donald Weaver, she lived most of her life on their family farm in Marion Center.  In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading mystery novels, baking amazing bread, and taking scenic drives along backroads.
She will be remembered for her witty and spunky personality, a trait that she shared with a proud line of Wells sisters. Her spirit and devotion to family live on through her 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Joseph Weaver, Michael Weaver and wife (Patty), Lynne Huller and husband (James); extended family member, Darla Bennett-Smailis; grandchildren, Kristi Naretto, Kayla Follmer, Raquel Waltenbaugh, Samantha Morris, Mackenzie Weaver, and Abigail Huller; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul Wells.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, as well as 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Melvin "Turtle" Lisle Johnston Jr. - December 18, 1947 - April 04, 2022

Obituary Preview: Melvin Lisle “Turtle” Johnston Jr., 74, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, surrounded by his three children.
Born December 18,1947 in Indiana, PA., he was the son of Melvin Sr. and Dorothy (Miller) Johnston.
Turtle, as he was known to everyone, was a graduate of Indiana High School, class of 1966. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy where between 1966 and 1970 he was stationed in Annapolis, MD and San Diego, CA, having served aboard the submarine tender USS Sperry. Following his service, he was employed 16 years by McCreary Tire & Rubber and 25 years at the Homer City Generating Station prior to retiring.
Turtle enjoyed playing basketball while in high school and carried that love of the game with him over the years by coaching at the elementary level for his children and grandchildren. He could often be found in the stands at Indiana High School and IUP basketball games. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with friends and family, and many of his weekends were spent relaxing at camp, either in Clearfield County or at Yellow Creek campground.
Turtle will be greatly missed by his children, Jody (David Baker) Riddle, Christopher (Alicia) Johnston, and David (Wendy Penrose) Johnston, all of Indiana; grandchildren Jordan (Samantha) Riddle, Pittsburgh, and Walker, Gauge, and Mia Johnston, all of Indiana; nieces and nephews, Deborah Faloon, Dawn Frederick, Karen Cessna, Kimberly Broadbent, all of Indiana, Ronald Barnes, Aiken, SC, and Douglas Barnes, Pittsburgh.
Preceding Turtle in death were his parents; brother, Ronald Johnston; and a sister, Barbara Frederick.
Friends will be received on Friday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 pm at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home. Funeral service will then immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
Interment in the Oakland Cemetery will be private.

Donald Robbins - December 22, 1942 - April 01, 2022

Obituary Preview: Donald John Robbins, 79, of Indiana, PA, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022.  He was born December 22, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Raymond A. and Bernadette (Dezort) Robbins.
Throughout his lifetime, Donald was a dedicated husband, father, friend and educator.  He was a graduate of North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, PA, earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (I.U.P.), and studied for his doctorate degree at the University of Pittsburgh.  He taught business at Kittanning High School before serving as Professor of Accounting in the College of Business at I.U.P. for over 36 years.  During his employment at I.U.P., Donald held the longtime position of Chairman of the Accounting Department of the College of Business, interim Dean of the College of Business, as well as serving on multiple committees. He was also an active member of the academic fraternities Gamma Rho Tau and Alpha Kappa Psi. He was proudest, however, of his role as academic advisor, as he enjoyed supporting and encouraging the many fortunate students who came to him for guidance.
Donald loved to travel with his late wife, Patricia L. (Patti) Robbins.  Together, they embraced learning about the cultures and people of the places they visited.  He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and landscaping.
Donald is survived by his children, son Curtis and daughter-in-law DeAnna Robbins (Indiana, PA), daughter Stacie Robbins (Trenton, FL), son Kevin Robbins (Tampa, FL), and daughter Leesha Robbins; grandchildren, Jonathan Robbins, Tyler Robbins, Kirsten Kruk, Ashley Robbins, Julie Dunmire, Mitchell Dunmire, Bennett Dunmire, Ayden Dunmire, Carter Robbins, and Maria Voorhies; eight great-grandchildren; brother Raymond and sister-in-law Ann Robbins, and sister Joanne and brother-in-law Ralph Klug; numerous nieces and nephews; and many genuine friends.
Preceding Donald in death were his parents, Raymond A. and Bernadette Robbins, wife Patricia L. (Patti) Robbins, son Chad P. Robbins, sisters Marsha Robbins and Kathy Cooper, and grandson Joshua Buhler.

The son of Raymond A. and Gertrude (Mestler) Lucas, he was born July 31, 1949 in Indiana, PA.
William proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  After his enlistment, he worked as an automotive technician for many years. William was a member of the Penns Woods Council and served as Cubmaster for Homer City Pack 24, Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 24, and as a member of the District Council. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and mentor to those in need of guidance.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia (Troup) Lucas, Homer City; sons, William Jr., wife Sara, Lucas (in VA) and James Curtis Lucas (in NY); sisters Martha, husband Joseph, Benamati (Homer City) and Judy, husband Harold, Moorhead, Blairsville; brother, Russell, wife Sandra, Lucas, Penn Run; and grandson, William Connor Lucas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and those he made a significant impression upon.

Obituary Preview: It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Kasey.  Kasey Marie Coy passed away at her residence on March 23, 2022.
Kasey’s greatest love in life was the love for her children. She enjoyed taking many pictures of her and her babies capturing so many “proud Momma” moments.  Kasey loved taking nature walks through the woods and at the lake. She enjoyed all nature had to offer, especially flowers and plants.  She also collected rocks from the lakes that she would frequently visit.  Kasey enjoyed and found peace in coloring.  Kasey was our beautiful, full of heart “social butterfly” who left a big print on this earth.  Regardless of what Kasey had going on in her life she always was there for her friends and family.  Her pleasant and humerus personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Kasey is predeceased by her Maternal grandparents, Lisle & Ann Walker; Brother In-law, Cody Megenity; and niece, Nevaeh Marie Faith Megenity.
Kasey is survived by her children, Jacob, Delilah, and Runa; her Mother, Kelly Reed; brothers, Kyle Reed and Hunter Ennes; sisters, Savanna Coy and Sarah Hollingsworth; Maternal grandfather, Thomas Reed; Maternal grandmother, Cindy Walker; an uncle, Tyler Ruffner; and a host of nieces & nephews, family and friends.

Dorothy had been employed by Robertshaw and Sam Jack and Beacon Ridge.  She enjoyed going to the casinos and traveling with her daughter and granddaughter.  Dorothy will be remembered as the best mom, nan, mother-in-law, and all-around good person.  She was always there to help anyone in need.
Surviving is her daughter, Cindy (Lawrence) Stiffler of Ernest; granddaughter, Heather (Jeremy) Carnahan of Ernest; and siblings, Joseph (Bonnie) James of Dixonville, Salva Holloman of Maryland, Francis (Ludy) James of Mississippi; Sharon Pruginic of Flordia, John (Linda) Parker of North Carolina, and Mary James of Indiana.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Bellman; a brother, Robert (Nobby) James; brothers-in-law, Gene Bellman and Peter Pruginic and a sister-in-law, Delores James.

Obituary Preview: Ethel “Dolly” Inez Stephens-Helman, 98 passed away Sundy, March 6, 2022, while at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.  We have lost the matriarch of our family!
The daughter of Nestor Downey and Salome Elizabeth (Roser) Stephens, she was born August 31, 1923 in Penn Run, PA.
Dolly was a member of the First Christian Church, Indiana.  She was an avid baker and cook.  Dolly enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, gardening, canning, dancing and crocheting. She started up the first Indiana County Human Society and ran it for 17 years, and she was a cook at the Indiana County Child Daycare Center for several years, which she retired from.   She enjoyed margaritas while laughing with her family and friends.  Dolly will be remembered for her fun, loving sense of humor and her never-ending kindness to animals.
Surviving are her children, Barbara Helman-Blatt, Bonita Marie Stephens-Fry and her husband, Joe, Del Helman and his significant other, George McMillen, Deb Helman and her significant other, Maudy Bommell, and Ken Helman and his wife, Cinda; siblings, Irene Stephens-Pegram, Allen J. (Kathy) Stephens, and Rita A. Stephens; grandchildren, Chuck (Wendy) Helman and their daughter, Kassidy, Michel (Bill) Nichie and their children Gabrielle & Zackary, Christopher (Joy) Fry, Douglas(Diana) Fry, Amy (Eric) Mousser and Grace; daughter-in-law, Brenda Helman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry A. Helman; son Edward C Helman, grandson, Casey Helman; siblings, Paul R Stephens, Carl N Stephens, Charles Fry-Stephens, Margaret (Curley) Stephens-Steele, Zula Louise Stephens, Norma (Earl) Stephens-Wolff; and a son-in-law, John M Blatt. The son of Eugene Bennett and Faith (Neff) Bennett, he was born September 22, 1964, in Bradford, PA.
Sam was a United States Army Veteran having served for 22 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC).  He then was employed as a civilian contractor by the U.S. Army at Indiana University of Pennsylvania ROTC Department for 17 years.  Sam was a member of the Infidels Motorcycle Club which consists of military, former military, civilian contractors, and Patriotic Americans.  He loved hunting, fishing, camping, the Dallas Cowboys, woodworking, and riding his Harley but he especially loved spending time with his family.  Sam will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and brother.
Surviving is his faithful wife of 37 years, Susan Celestine Bennett; children, Tyler Bennett and his wife, Ella, Clairmont, FL, Dr. Samantha Clements and her husband, Adam, Cambridge, OH, Haley Bennett and her fiancée, Joe Grisewood, Scio, NY, Colton Bennett and his wife, Samantha, Indiana, PA, Noah Bennett, Ernest, PA, and Kayla Sandoval, Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Ian and Kyle Bennett, both of Clairmont, FL and Mortimer Grisewood, Scio, NY; brother, John Bennett, Fallon, NV; sister, Jeanne Capra, Bradford, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Gary Dwight Kromer, 82, lifelong resident of Western, PA, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 surrounded by his family.
The son of Delbert and LaRue (Kromer) Nichols, he was born March 31, 1939 in Clymer, PA.
Prior to retirement Gary was employed by Westinghouse Electric Corp, East Pittsburgh for over 30 years as a plant supervisor and consultant.  He was a member of the Pittsburgh Downriggers Club.
Gary was an avid hunter, fisherman, and in his later years an avid movie watcher and critic.  He enjoyed designing and fabricating parts and pieces for his many projects. He treasured time with family and friends and will be remembered for his loving, kind, and generous personality.
Surviving is his son, Randy Kromer and wife, Holly; sister, Gail Wallace; nieces, Karen (Daniel) Coolidge and Debbie (JoBob) Burris; nephew, Bill (Lori) Wallace; and many grand nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Paul Wallace.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  An additional hour of visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.

The daughter of Robert and Stella (Fleming) Sensabaugh, she was born September 27, 1952 in Indiana, PA.
Connie was the founder of Heritage Home Healthcare.  She had a passion for caring for others especially her patients.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
Surviving is her husband, Harry Zagurskie; daughter, Stacey Pellas and her husband, Daniel; grandsons, Noah Ripa and Owen Pellas; brother, Bob Sensabaugh and his wife, Sharon; sister, Melanie Fink and her husband, Fred; sister-in-law, Cindy Sensabaugh; and many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Carl Sensabaugh.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.
Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.

Obituary Preview: On February 16, 2022, Matthew Dean Cowie, 50, passed away after a long and courageous battle with numerous medical issues surrounded by his loving family. Matthew was born at Indiana Hospital on September 24, 1971. He graduated from Marion Center High School in 1990, later attending Cambria-Rowe Business College in Indiana. Matthew was an ardent Star Wars fan, a passion he shared with his cousin Victor. An avid film buff, he enjoyed watching movies, instilling the same passion in his loved ones. Matthew loved his family more than anything. Whether at Christmas gatherings, family outings to Idlewild Park, or simply seeing the latest superhero movie at the Indiana theater, nothing gave him more joy than being around those whom he loved, and who loved him, the most. He had an amazing sense of humor, constantly cracking jokes and making people laugh. Along with the limitless love he gave, his family will miss that the most. Matthew is survived by his mother and devoted caretaker Linda Cowie, of Indiana; his father Robert Cowie, of Hotchkiss, Colorado; his sister Connie Dilts, her husband Bobby and their children - Cenneca and Zane - all of Smicksburg; his sister Carrie Cowie and her children - Chloe and Jasper - all of Indiana; his beloved friend Joshua Adams, of Pittsburgh; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who loved him dearly. Matthew loved the music of Jeff Buckley. He took great solace in Buckley’s lyrics, a favorite being “There's the moon asking me to stay / Long enough for the clouds to fly me away”. The tremendous grief experienced by everyone who knew Matthew is surpassed only by the happiness that he brought them. The world is emptier without him, but the hearts of those who loved him will forever be full with his memory. Matthew’s wishes were to have no public viewing or services. A celebration of his life will be held with his family and close friends.

Martin served in the United States Army during World War II.  He was a member of the Faith Victory Church in Starford.  Martin had been employed by EE Nupp and Sons as a truck driver as well as Purchase Line and Penns Manor High Schools as a school bus driver.  He enjoyed spending time working outside and on tractors but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his grandchildren, Cory Putt and Nicole (Mike) Bouch; great grandchildren, Alicia, Corrina, Jasmine, Trey, and Khloe; great-great grandchildren, Justin and Jasmeri; sisters, Annabelle Hays and Shirley (Ray) Brently; son-in-law, Kenneth Putt; and many nieces and nephews.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara (Michaels) Buterbaugh; daughter, Deborah (Buterbaugh) Putt; and numerous siblings.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Faith Victory Church, 92 Rhondendron Street, Starford, PA.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara (Wright) Sullinger, Homer City; son, Robert (Tracey) Sullinger, Sarver, stepsons, Michael (Erica) McCullough, Cocoa, FL, Jason McCullough, Penn Run, and Jeremy (Dawn) Conrad, Indiana; grandchildren, Brittany (Jim) November, Hailey Sullinger, Will McCullough, Jenna Conrad, Willow Conrad; great-grandchildren, Dulcie and Bonnie November; sisters, Debbie (Mark) Riggle; special pups, Shelby and Reggie; and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William T. Sullinger.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  An additional hour of visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.  Military Rites will be provided by the VFW Post 1989.
Interment will follow in the Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Florence I. (McPhilimy) Bothell, ‘Flossie,’ of Creekside, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
Daughter of Frank and Isabel (Cunningham) McPhilimy, she was born on April 8, 1931 in Indiana, PA.  Flossie was a 1949 graduate of Indiana High School and a 1952 graduate of the Indiana Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Indiana Hospital before devoting her life to her family. She returned to nursing in 1980, working at Indian Haven until her retirement.
In 1960, she married the love of her life, Donald Bothell, and they enjoyed 62 years together, lovingly raising four children, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Flossie’s greatest joy in life was time spent with family, enjoying renewed wonder in life and faith with each new generation.
Flossie’s love of family extended to her church family of Plum Creek Presbyterian Church, in Willet, PA, where she was a long-time member.  She was involved in many aspects of the church’s life over the years, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and organizing Christmas Eve services. Her faith and her family brought her joy and strength throughout her life.
Flossie is survived by her husband, her four children, Missy and her husband Dennis Duttry of Reynoldsville; Julie and her husband Les Yeomans of Creekside; Laurie and her husband Bill Brogan of Port Matilda; and Bill and his wife Tammy of Creekside; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Lauren Duttry; Katie and her husband John Proch; Krissy and her husband Gino Colella; Levi Yeomans and his wife Alexis; Erin and Joe Brogan; Zack and Jake Bothell; three great grandchildren, Isabel and Paul Proch, and Lily Yeomans; sister Lorraine White, brother Dan McPhilimy, sister-in-law Betty McPhilimy, brother-law and sister-in-law Bill and Joan Bothell, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, mother-in-law Verna Bothell, brother Bob McPhilimy, brother-in-law Malvin “Bud” White and beloved grandson Benjamin Bothell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date.
Flossie’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Communities at Indian Haven for the loving care they gave her, and to Shirley, a special roommate and valued friend.
