She was also an accomplished poet who penned hundreds of poems, most of which talked about life in rural Tennessee and the Cumberland Plateau, which she loved so dearly.In recent years she even published some of her works for all the world to enjoy. Of all her hobbies and interests the one thing she liked best was people and enjoyed nothing better than being around others as that’s what brought her the most joy.

Obituary Preview: Early Monday morning, March 28, 2022, at the age of 88, the angels came to accompany our beloved sweet mother to our Heavenly Father.  She was born on November 25, 1933, in Byrdstown, Tennessee, to Thomas C. and Mary Lydia (Hull) Sells and was the youngest of eight children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Edna Amonette, Kenneth Sells, Mildred Sells, Roselle Marlow, William H. Sells, Chestine Delk, and Juanita Salerno.
She was employed by Marhoefer Packing Company and Ball Corporation, from which she retired in 2004, in Muncie, Indiana. Upon retirement in 2004 she moved to Glasgow, Kentucky to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gail Johnson, Cathy Szabo and husband Bob, one grandson Scott Szabo, one great granddaughter, Jenna Szabo and two great-great grandchildren, Karsen and Greyson.
Services are being arranged by Jennings Funeral Home in Jamestown, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral will be at the Jennings Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Byrdstown, Tennessee.
