Aleene was born on July 4th, 1922 to J. L. (Dee) Turner and Ada Collier Turner of Cow Creek. She always liked to say that her birthday was celebrated with fireworks.

Obituary Preview: Roland DeLeon was born September 12, 1965, in Victoria, TX to Father Richard DeLeon Jr. and Mother Elvia Margaret DeLeon. After a long hard-fought battle with cancer, he passed away on January 28, 2022, at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife Alison, his 4 daughters, Ashley, Brittany, Megan, and Ayana; stepdaughters Kayla, Shayna, and Haylie; son Bryce, and stepson Noah; father, Richard DeLeon Jr; brothers, Richard III, Robert, and Raymond and their families; 11 grandchildren (who he adored most in his life). He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Roland grew up in Houston, TX, as the 2nd oldest in a family of 4 boys. He attended private Catholic schools for elementary and junior high and then ended up attending Aldine High school.  He moved to Marble Falls, TX in 2000 and made this place his home. He would say he came on vacation and never left. He loved his family with all his heart and made every effort to make sure we all knew he did, especially his grandbabies. His smile could light up the darkest room and his laugh could be heard from afar. He was the best daddy, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend anyone could ask for. When diagnosed with cancer, Roland remained dedicated and optimistic that he would beat this. He stayed brave and strong, free willed and just as stubborn throughout his final weeks. He was loved by so many.
Roland requested to be cremated as his final wish so that his ashes will soar forever. A viewing will be held before to allow family and friends to say their goodbyes. Details below. A message from his girls, “We’ll always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that warm embrace, you always gave us. You being there for all of us, through good and bad times, no matter what. We’ll always remember you Dad because they’ll never be another one to replace you in our hearts, and the love we will always have for you.” A message from his wife,
Roland lived his life fully without fear of consequences. He pushed the limits and broke rules many are too scared to break. He would make up his mind about something and move forward regardless the outcome. He was a true fighter, and a warrior when it came down to fighting his cancer for his family. He was my very best friend and the most thoughtful person I have ever met. He would save anything his kids/grandkids made for him. He would reach out to multiple people a day to check on them and catch up.  Although, Roland may have passed due to cancer he did not lose his battle. He died on his own terms just like he lived his life. He lived it his way. The Frank Sinatra song below truly represents the way Roland lived and the way he died. My Way Song by Frank Sinatra And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll make it clear I'll state my case, of which I am certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway And more, much more I did it, I did it my way Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway And more, much, much more I did it, I did it my way Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew And through it all, whenever there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall And did it, did it my way I've loved, laughed and cried I had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside I find that it's all so amusing And to think I did all that And may I say not in a shy way No, no, not me I did it my way For what is a man, what has he got If not himself, then he has naught Not to say the things that he truly feels And not the words of someone who kneels The record shows I took all the blows And did it my way Roland's Services Viewing Friday, February 4th, 2022, 8AM-9PM Jenkins Funeral Home (previously Edgar's) 109 N Main St, Burnet, TX 78611 Memorial Service Saturday, February 5th, 2022, 2:30PM-3:30PM Hill Country Fellowship Church 200 Houston Clinton Dr. Burnet, TX 78611 Celebration of Life Saturday, February 5th, 2022 4PM-7PM The Venue on Main 112 Main St, Marble Falls, TX 78654
