In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Pierce and two brothers, Darrell Gray and Brian Keith Gray.
Surviving are his children, Mellissa Slider, Christopher (Tiffany Parker) Duke and John Wayne Pierce all of New Martinsville, WV; eight grandchildren, Rose Norris, Shyanna Hawkins, Logan Duke, Brendon Duke, Noah Duke, Abbigail Duke, Madison Duke and Exavier Pierce; three siblings, Michael E. Gray of New Martinsville, WV, Virginia L. (Tim Sandy) Gray of Sistersville, WV and Lisa Ann (Boyd) Slider of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wilda was born October 1, 1932, in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Carl and Edna Beatrice (Calvert) Carney.
She graduated from Magnolia High School Class of 1950. After high school, Wilda moved to Clarksburg, WV where she attended St. Mary’s Hospital School of Medical Technology. In 1951 she graduated as a Medical and X-ray Technologist. Wilda worked at St. Mary’s Hospitals in Clarksburg and Huntington, Wetzel County Hospital and for the office of Doctors Coffield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Blake, Doris Adkins; brothers, Dale, Burl and Wayne Carney. Wilda is survived by her husband, Bill Witschey of sixty-seven years; daughters, Mary (Scott) Korbin, Jennifer Witschey; son, Captain [Delta Airlines] Bill (Dina Vigil) Witschey; granddaughters, Kaitlin Darr and Leah (Josh Steube) Korbin; great granddaughter, Reagan Fluet; sister-in-law, Lila Witschey; brothers-in-law, Wayne and Warren Witschey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wilda was a very giving, loving wife and mother who cared deeply for her family and was always willing to step-up and help when needed. She was an owner and a constant support for the family business, Witschey’s Market. Wilda kept the home fires burning. She enjoyed traveling to all fifty states and to many countries with her husband, Bill.
She was very loved and will be sorely missed.
Wilda’s request was for private services. Burial to take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.

He was born November 28, 1947, in Sistersville, WV, the son of the late Charles and Hazel Livingston.
He was retired from PPG after 35 years of service; he enjoyed photography, golfing, watching his Steelers, spending time with his family and loved his dogs. He was a member of Wetzel Masonic Lodge No. 39 A.F. & A.M.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dolly (Mike) Irvin and brother, “Sonny” Livingston.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-five years, Becky Livingston; three daughters, Nicole (Clyde) Starr of Marietta, OH, Holly (“Ed”) Poach of Washington, PA and Beth (Brian) Hayes of Proctor, WV; eight grandchildren, Breanna, Kyle, Carli, Christian, Anna, Vivian, Nathaniel and Georgia; six great grandchildren, Trey, Bryce, Finley, Adaline, Brooks and Hayes; brother, Kenneth (Becky) Livingston; sister-in-law, Kay Livingston; brothers-in-law, Roger (“Bev”) Wade and Victor (Teddi) Wade; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
To honor Greg’s memory, a celebration of life will be held later for family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Joshua and Jackson; four aunts and uncles, John Keller, Russell Weekley, Betty Lewis and Sandra Keller and several cousins.

George Joseph Lilkendey - Unknown - April 09, 2024

Obituary Preview: It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Joseph Lilkendey, who died of heart failure at the age of 83 on April 9, 2024. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose commitment to his family and faith was unwavering. He was a devout member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Born and raised in Queens, NY, George brought his family to West Virginia, where he lived for about four decades with his beloved wife, Patricia A. Lilkendey, who survives him. Together, they raised three daughters, Anne Marie, Patricia, and Julia, and two sons, George M. and Martin A. Lilkendey. George was a doting grandfather to Felix (Ally) Day, Zoë Bertram, Noah Lilkendey, Elijah Lilkendey, and Carter Grace Lilkendey, and he was recently blessed with a great-grandson, Luca George Day.
George was the first of three sons to parents Margaret R. and Martin T. Lilkendey, a brother to James (Fran) Lilkendey and the late Thomas (Toni) Lilkendey, and an uncle to Margaret Rubino, and James, Robert, Christopher, and Peter Lilkendey.
A veteran of the United States Army, George enlisted when he was 21 and served in the 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment. He achieved a lot during his service, earning US Army expert rifle M-14, sharpshooter rifle M-1 and bar, and parachutist badges. He was also a Golden Gloves boxing champion. After retiring from the military, George worked as a plumber and pipefitter. One of his most notable projects was working on the World Trade Center.
George was a character who loved to play tricks and make people laugh, but at his core, he was a holy man with a heart of gold. He lived his life with integrity and strived every day to be a better person than he was the day before. George was steadfast in his convictions and fought for his beliefs and the underrepresented. He embarked on domestic and international humanitarian endeavors, offering aid to those in need.
George’s legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched through his acts of kindness and devotion to his faith. In life, George honored his true self, and today, may he be at peace in Paradise.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to come together for a viewing on Sunday, April 14, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge Street, New Martinsville, WV. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 21 Rosary Road, New Martinsville, WV, with Msgr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant. Interment will be in Northview Cemetery.

Patrick was born February 17, 1960, in Bellaire, OH son of the late James Earl and Ernestine (Wheeler) Hurd.
He was extremely talented playing music and painting with oils or acrylics. Patrick enjoyed watching sports, collecting various items, visiting flea markets and being a good horse trader with the items he made or found. He attended the Powhatan Point Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Zita and brother, Charles Hurd.
Surviving is his friend, Rev. William (Rhonda) Coker, Jr. of Powhatan Point, OH and two brothers, James (Lynn) Hurd, III of Florida and Joseph (Donna) Hurd of Byesville, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a retired Administrative Assistant for a California winery. Lin loved working in her yard where she grew beautiful flowers. Worked at one time as an interior painter, that turned into a love of painting pictures. If you knew Lin, you knew she had a passion for chocolate milk. Was a past member of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, when she lived in Hawaii.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Zinck.
Surviving is her daughter, Aja Russ of Mt. Vernon, OH; two brothers, Don and Tom Zinck both of Washington state; her feline fluffball, Dolce.

She had a larger than life personality and many friends near and far, including her happy place, Aruba, where she lived before spending her final days in West Virginia.

Mike graduated from Magnolia High School Class of 1976. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army as a motor transport operator at Fort Benning, GA. Upon completion of his military service, Mike worked as a parts manager in car dealerships in both Tennessee and West Virginia.
Mike is survived by his wife, Gay A. (LeMasters) Yost of New Martinsville and their fur babies, Jake and Jenny; three daughters, Christa Carter of Jefferson City, TN, Jessica Johnson of Hendersonville, NC and Kayla Grove of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren and one brother, Stephen Belcher of New Mexico.

He was a retired employee of PPG Industries with thirty-seven-years, former employee of Mobay/Bayer, member of the Moundsville Country Club, avid turkey, deer and squirrel hunter, one of the last Wetzel County World War II veterans of the Army Air Corp, 8th Air Force, 351st Bomb Group, Polebrooke, England, a graduate of Hundred High School Class of 1943, enjoyed being part of the McDonald’s Gang where they drank coffee and told stories, member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge No. 931 and attended the Steelton Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen McGhee, Fran Davis, Ruth Keenan and Bill Parish.

She was a devoted, thoughtful, giving wife and mother who loved her family, her friends, and her church. She was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she served in the choir and with the Methodist Women's Group. She worked at Bayer in the Quality Assurance Department before retiring in 2008.
India is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Mike Tallman; children Chris (Haley) Tallman of High Point, NC and Amanda (Taylor) Still of Paden City, WV; grandchildren, Graham, Scotland and Leo (due April 2024); siblings Gena (Jack) Gibbons of Roseville, CA, and Sharon (Errol) Larson of San Francisco, CA; sister in-law Kathy (Frank) Giovinazzo of Paden City, WV; brothers-in-law David (Carol) Tallman of New Martinsville, WV and David Smart of Shingle Springs, CA; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Kim Larson and Karla Mae Smart; in-laws Homer and Joretta Tallman, nephew Jay Gutirrez and grand-puppy, Daisy.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 at 2 pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church,130 S Fourth Avenue, Paden City, WV. The family will receive visitors preceding the service from 12 pm - 2 pm. Pastor Malcolm Detwiler will officiate and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to thank her caregivers - Mike, Amanda, Jenna, Sharon, Barbara, and Marsha for their love and support.

He was a former drummer for the band known as “The One-Way Ticket” and he attended The Refuge Church in New Martinsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Karen Buck.
Surviving are his children, Linda (Stan) Seckman of Salem, WV and James Buck, II of Sistersville, WV; two grandchildren, Clayton and Lilly; three siblings, Greg (Pam) Buck of Centrville, AL, Kathy Johnston of Nolensville, TN and Deanna (Brad) Deaton of Belpre, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
