Obituary Preview: Beverly Hostettler, age 70, passed away a Little Chute Health Services on Sunday morning, December 15, 2019. Bev was born in Hortonville on January 22, 1949, daughter of the late Benjamin and Luella (Prahl) Guyette. On June 20, 1975 she married Gerald Hostettler, who preceded her in death in 2012.
Beverly enjoyed going out to eat, going up north, visiting local casinos as well as going to Las Vegas, and collecting penguin figurines. The only thing she loved more than the color purple was her grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter: Wendy (Joe) Everetts, Jr. of Green Bay; three step-children: Glen Hostettler of Freedom, Paula Vanevenhoven of Appleton, and Alan Hostettler of Kaukauna; a granddaughter: Alyssa Powell and her children Jamie, Riley, and Alex; five step-grandchildren: Adam, Jennifer, Amanda, Alex, and Jamie; three brothers and a sister: Tom Guyette, Bonnie Guyette, Randy (Pam) Guyette, and Steve Guyette; and a brother-in-law: Ed Miller. There are also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry, a sister Barb Miller, and a sister-in-law Peggy Guyette.
The funeral service for Beverly will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, located at 204 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.

Philip J. Quigley, Jr. - March 21, 1937 - December 07, 2019

Obituary Preview: Philip John Quigley Jr., age 82, of Greenville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 7, 2019 at Heartwood Homes Assisted Living. Philip was born on March 21, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois, son of the late Philip Sr. and Vera (Meinert) Quigley. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in Davenport, Iowa, in 1955. Philip enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately after graduation. During his 12 years military career, Philip studied Architectural Engineering at the University of Maryland. He was stationed in Germany, California and Illinois. Philip worked as a fork lift mechanic with Hiester-Clark, retiring in 1999.
Philip was an active member of Moose Lodge 1290 in Illinois and enjoyed his bowling league and cars. He took much pride in cultivating a beautiful lawn. When his grandson was younger, Philip enjoyed taking his out on his boat fishing. On October 21, 1979, Philip married Gayle Johnson. Together, they enjoyed the double couple bowling league, polka dancing, and attending Molly B and Maggie Mae concerts.
Philip will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Gayle; his children: Robert (Jennie) Quigley, Sheri (Javier) Lozada, Teri (Edgar) Barreto, and Shaun (Darcy) Quigley; his grandchildren: Etta, Laszlo. Ferris, Jeremy, McCayla, Kylie, and Reagan; his sisters: Carol Ouimet, and Mary Baars; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Marge Digby.
Philip’s family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at the V.A Clinics, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Heartwood Homes, and Heartland Hospice for the excellent care he received.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Donald "Don" Tremel - November 05, 1930 - November 23, 2019

Obituary Preview: Donald Edward Tremel, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the morning of November 23, 2019, at Touchmark Assisted Living. Don was born on November 5, 1930, in Luxemberg, WI, son of John and Clothilda (Rueckl) Tremel. After graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1948, he went on to earn a degree in accounting from St. Norbert College in 1952. Don served in the United States Army. On May 18, 1957, he married the love of his life, Marian Taylor, in a Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Don and Marian shared 62 years of marriage and raised five beautiful children together.
Don started his career in accounting at Smith, Ellingson and Schuldes Public Accounting in Green Bay before moving to Appleton to work at the Institute of Paper Chemistry. He finished his career in 1993, working at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a proud member of the National Accounting Association as well as the Institute of Management Accounts. Don was a Packer fan and enjoyed his weekly bowling and golf leagues. He also enjoyed his bi-yearly fishing, camping, canoeing trips with his brothers. Don was a talented woodworker and was known to be able to fix anything.
Don is survived by his loving wife: Marian Tremel; their children: Stephen (Barb) Tremel, Lisa (Ron) Scray, David (Melissa) Tremel, Michael (Amy) Tremel, and Christopher (Mickey) Tremel; grandchildren: Stephanie (Travis) Hagen, Erin (Andrew) Besaw, Alex (Kayla Braun-Lemke) Tremel, Amanda Tremel, Abigail Tremel, Jonathan Tremel, and Andrew Tremel; and great grandson Louie. He is further survived by his brother: Abbot Jerome Tremel, O’Praem; sister-in-law: Jean Tremel; and brother-in-law: Robert Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Frank Tremel; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Willard and Helen Taylor: and sister-in-law: Patricia Rose.

Obituary Preview: Cornelius Joseph “Junie” Van Hout, Jr., age 87, of Kimberly died and has found his peace on November 18, 2019. The second youngest of 11 siblings and last surviving, he was born to the late Cornelius and Johanna (Van Boekel) Van Hout, Sr. on March 15, 1932 in Kimberly. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Madonna Kern, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton on February 23, 1952. They were blessed with 6 children, and Cornelius was the best Dad they could ever ask for.
Junie worked at the Kimberly Mill for 44.5 years, until his retirement in January 1995. In addition to working in the Mill, he worked part-time for 15 years at Langenhuizen Construction. He was even a Kimberly volunteer firefighter for a few years.
Junie was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish. He especially loved his trips to South Dakota and Nebraska to pheasant hunt and to his land near Nichols, WI to hunt deer with his family. He was also an avid Packer fan and enjoyed making crafty projects for people he loved. He taught not only his kids, but cousins and neighbors, how to swim, waterski and fish. Lastly, he was very proud of his Christmas Light Spectaculars throughout the years.
Junie is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Donna; children, Jeff (Sue) Van Hout, Cheryl (Hoss) Hosmer, Randy (Pat) Van Hout, Timm (Barb) Van Hout, Todd (Amy) Van Hout and Barb (Jim) Smarzinski; grandchildren, Andrew Van Hout, Nicholas Van Hout, Lisa (Luke) Lundquist, Danielle (Charlie) Cronin, Nicole (Jared) Schuh, Adam (Tasha) Van Hout, Eric (Molly) Van Hout and Amber (Jeremy) Carpenter; 11 great-grandchildren; many other dear family and friends. Junie was preceded in death by his siblings Bill, Joe, Tony, Jim, Marty, Lambert, Frank,
Mary, Cora and Frances.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church-Kimberly Site, 620 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, WI 54136, by Rev. Carl Schmitt. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9 A.M. to the time of mass. Interment will be in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery, Kimberly.
Junie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Right at Home, Peabody Manor (Birch Wing) and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their dedication and professionalism in taking care of him during his struggle with dementia. “See ya later Alligator.”

Bernice was born to the late Edward and Mary (Mangold) Blair on August 14, 1918 in Appleton, WI. She married Earl Verhoeven on August 3, 1938 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom, WI. Together they enjoyed 63 years of marriage, until Earl's in death in 2001. They farmed in Freedom for a number of years before moving to Kimberly in 1944.
Bernice was a beautiful seamstress and loved sewing for her daughter and grandchildren. Family was very important to her. Bernice cherished time spent with them, whether it was shopping trips, casino runs, holiday gatherings or celebrating birthdays. Her unconditional love often went unnoticed.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Pat (Jim Peerenboom) Wachtendonck; grandchildren, Mark (Trina) Wachtendonck and Sara (fiancé, JimFox) Remington; great-grandchildren, Amanda (friend, Kevin) Wachtendonck, Alysa (friend, Paul) Remington and Danny (friend, Madi) Remington; step-grandchildren, Jennifer (Stephen) Burnham and Laurie (Jim) Woolever; step-great-great-grandchildren, Kenneth Burnham, Savannah Woolever, Grayce Burnham and Sadie Burnham; sister-in-law; many other family and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband's parents; son-in-law, Hank Wachtendonck; siblings, Loretta (Alvin) Vandenberg, Edward (Virginia) Blair, Leo (Florence) Blair, Jerome Blair, Cletus (Arlene) Blair, Norbert (Phyllis) Blair and Joan Blair; in-laws, Vincent (Margaret) Verhoeven, Agnes (Ray) Newhouse and Leona (Cyrus) Liebergen.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Bernice at 11 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church-Kimberly Site, 620 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, WI 54136 by Rev. Carl Schmitt. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9 A.M. until the time of mass. Inurnment will be in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery, Kimberly.
Bernice's family would like to thank her special friends, Jan Guyette, Janice Van Zeeland and Maxine Williams. A special thank you as well, to Carol Boots for her devoted visits for the past 9 years and for the loving care provided by the Bridges of Appleton and Compassus Hospice.
