Mr. Harry Little, 86, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, in Meridian, MS.
Harry was a loving son, husband, brother and father.
A native of Enterprise, MS, he received a master’s degree from USM. He coached at Davison High School in Mobile, AL, and was a lifeguard on Biloxi Beach. He also was a welder with his twin brother Howard Little at Ingalls Shipyard. He retired from M.H.S. and was a veteran of the U.S.M.C.
He was an educator and a Christian man. He will be missed by many.

Mrs. Thomas passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Meridian, MS.
Betty was a wonderful mother who loved her sons, family, and the Lord. She supported the Boy Scouts and was Assistant Post Leader of the Explorer Post and recipient of the Silver Fawn award. She enjoyed working with ceramics and floral arrangements. True to the day of her birth, April 1st, she was also an excellent jokester leaving lasting memories of her shenanigans with her family.
She is survived by her Sons; Robert E. Thomas (Kathy), Kirk Thomas (Doris), Steven Thomas (Jennifer), Grandchildren; Jonathan Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Heather Thomas, Lauren Thomas Enlow, Keyton Thomas, Mason Thomas, Crystal Powell, Thompson McAlister and Spencer Maxson, Great-grand-children; Charlie Thomas, Silas Thomas, Sawyer Thomas, Raleigh Thomas, Sydney Grace Thomas, Hadlee Rose Thomas,  Hazel Thomas, Kendall Brock, Allie Enlow, Cole Enlow, Olivia Powell, Beau Thomas and Honorary Stepson, Mark M. Mavis was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was active with the adult and children’s choir, and humbly served her church in any way needed. She will be remembered most for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Fredie Videt Carmichael (Donna); grandchildren, Kaycee Crane (Charles), Fredie Videt Carmichael Jr. (Susan), Mignon Edmonds (Ken), William Dale Carmichael II, Beverly Knight, and Summer Ward; many great grandchildren; niece, Libby Snell (Tommy); and nephew, Mike Scott (Margie).

Marie was born August 15, 1929 to Bennie Samuel and Louise Corrine West in Pascagoula, MS.
She was a graduate of Moss Point High School, class of 1947.
Marie moved to Meridian after marrying Att Lamar Boren. They were married 57 years at the time of his death in 2004. Together they had 6 children.
Marie was a devoted long time member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Meridian.  She was a member of Ladies Sunday School group, a member of the Women’s Missionary Union, a member of the Thursday morning volunteer Outreach group and served many years in Church nursery.
Marie was a doting wife and loving mother and grandmother, she loved her family dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Her husband (2004), her son Ernest Lamar (Butch) Boren (June 2021), 2 sons-in-laws Walter (Mac) Parker Jr.  (2004) and Dorian Edwin McIntyre (January 2021).
She is survived by her son Bennie Boren (Rhonda) of Gulfport, MS, daughter Brenda McIntyre of Pearl, MS, daughter Cathy Pratt (Lynn) of Meridian, daughter Donna Duckworth (Ron) of Meridian, daughter Amy Parker of Ocean Springs, MS, daughter-in-law Dianne Boren, 11 Grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Webb Funeral Home, Thursday December 9 from (6pm - 8pm).  Services to be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 11:00 am with visitation from 10am - 11am.  Bro. Scott Harrell officiating. Graveside service and burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Jeffrey McIntyre, Terry Pratt, Jeremy McIntyre, Matthew Boren, Joshua Pratt, Allen Parker, and Eric Duckworth.

Mr. Murray, 42, of Enterprise, passed away on Monday at University Medical Center in Jackson.  Kirk enjoyed spending time outdoors.  His favorite hobbies were playing golf and fishing.  He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  He was always ready to play a joke or give you that funny smile when he was up to something.

Richard never met a stranger. He loved to help people and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed racing and going to the track. However, there was nothing he loved more than spending time with his grandkids. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Hank Smith rode off into his final sunset in Tallassee, Alabama on Monday, November 8, 2021.
Hank was a colorful character and led a colorful life. He had a variety of interests during his life. He was a bull rider, ranch hand, cow catcher and worked numerous jobs in between.
His knowledge and guidance of cattle and horses will be greatly missed. He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke.
Hank grew up and lived in Mississippi most of his life, until the last 10 years when he moved to Tallassee, Alabama where he made some wonderful friends that he thought of as family. He never met a stranger and will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Becky McKinnon; sons, Shawn Smith (Keri) and Clint Smith (Brittany); grandchildren, Brooke, Samantha, Maggie, Jessica, and Sadie; sisters, Linda Weatherford (Gary), Ruby Alexander, Debra Rash (Robert); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jewel Smith.

She will be most remembered for being a loving sister, daughter, and aunt.
She is survived by her sister, Pat Webb; nephew, Thomas Keith “T.K.” Webb; and numerous cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Miriam Sinclair; brother-in-law, Thomas Gary Webb; grandmother, Chad Sinclair; and aunt, Ann Lois Brackman.

Andrea was a California native where she spent most of her life. She enjoyed caring for her family- her two daughters Laura and Robyn and her husband of 25 years, Lawrence Levash. She became widowed in 1998. Andrea moved to AZ and eventually remarried, Arthur Mendibles. She was married for approximately 15 years. (Divorced)
Andrea spent the last few years of her life with her “Mississippi family” living her “dream” of living on a farm. She lived peacefully on her brother’s 60 acre farm in De Kalb Mississippi. She loved her 3 dogs and took in 2 dogs that were dumped and showed up on her doorstep. She had a special place in her heart for dogs. Andrea was also an avid reader, loved writing, interior decorating and enjoyed being in nature.
While living in Mississippi, Andrea gave her life to the Lord and immersed herself in the church at Liberty Baptist Church, dedicating her time towards helping others, cooking and cleaning. She enjoyed being of service and was grateful for all the blessings God endowed upon her.
Andrea’s surviving family members are: Robyn Beck (daughter) husband Jim Beck, Laura Starcher (daughter) husband Mike Starcher, Connor Starcher (grandson), Ryann & Jessica Starcher (step granddaughters) Penelope Brookshier (step great granddaughter). Numerous nieces and nephews in California. Cathy Bush (sister), Ruth Chase MacLeod (sister) Gary (Aby) Weaver (brother), Jason Oliver (nephew), Don L. Weaver (nephew), Lauryn Weaver (great neice), Lacey Weaver (great neice), Shauna K. (Brad) Fisher (neice), Bradley G. Fisher (great nephew), Scott C, Kaderabek (step-nephew).

Obituary Preview: A Graveside Service for "Sybil" Lois Slayton Robinson, age 94 of Meridian, MS., was held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 12:30 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Jerry Johnson and Rev. Jim Gordan officiated. James F. Webb was entrusted with her services.
Mrs. Robinson worked for many years at Meywebb Hosiery Mill. The Mill closed and she retired. Mrs. Robinson was an avid gardener and loved working in her yard, she spent most days digging in the dirt. She especially loved and was proud of her Day Lilly collection.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband "Wilmer" Earl Robinson, Son; Dwayne Robinson, Father; Daniel Preston Slayton, Mother; Mary Slayton Smith, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by three children: Loyce Cave (Legrande) of Sweetwater AL, Ricky Robinson (Jan), Meridian, Sue Ray (Hal) Ackerman MS, and special daughter in law Ginger Robinson of Athens AL, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grand daughter.
The family of Mrs. Robinson would like to take this opportunity to thank the Management and staff of Poplar Springs Nursing Center for their care and service to our mother for the past four years. You became her friends and family, and your facility was her home.

Janice Sue Thornsberry - January 16, 1949 - October 12, 2021

Obituary Preview: Janice Sue Thornsberry, nee Harkrader, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on October 12, 2021, at Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi from complications resulting from her 3.5-year battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was 72 years old. Her husband of 53 years was by her side as she took her first steps in heaven.
She was born in Gladwin, Michigan to Leonard Harkrader and Leah Sweeney. She married James D. Thornsberry on August 17, 1968, in Gladwin, Michigan. She loved the changing of seasons, with fall being her favorite. She expressed her creativity by designing and cross-stitching exquisite Christmas stockings for family. She also enjoyed football, reading, camping and bonfires with family and friends. She was devoted to her children and spent many years caring for children (including special needs children) through the leading of her heart. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse: Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Jan is survived by her husband, Jim, her daughter Kimberly Anne (Thornsberry) Kelsey of West Branch, Michigan, her daughter, Karin Marie (Thornsberry) Gibelyou of Russell, Mississippi, her son, Jonathan James Thornsberry of Midland, Michigan, her grandson, Kevin Patrick Kelsey of West Branch, Michigan, her granddaughters Lacey Marie Gibelyou and Leah Magdalene Gibelyou, both of Russell, Mississippi, and her great-granddaughter, Zoe Marie Gibelyou of Russell, Mississippi. She is also survived by her sister Carol (Harkrader) Krahner of Gladwin, Michigan, her brother and sister-in-law Craig and Bonnie Harkrader of Shepherd, Michigan, and by her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved deeply.
Plans are incomplete at this writing; however, a private cremation is planned, with a remembrance service to be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 2:00 pm at NorthPark Church,7770 Highway 39 North, Meridian, Mississippi,39305. Arrangements were made through the James F. Webb Funeral Home, and Pastor Jim Feirtag of NorthPark Church will officiate.

Thomas Stephens MacDonald - December 15, 1959 - October 11, 2021

Mr. MacDonald, 61, of Meridian, died October 9th, 2021, after a long illness. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff who took such wonderful loving care of our Tom. All your hard work, dedication, and patience was greatly appreciated. May God bless you.
Tom grew up in Maine and always considered himself a Mainer. After graduating Mexico High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force, for which he proudly served.
Tom will be remembered for his patience and generosity towards his family and friends. He was always the first to lend a helping hand. His children were his life, and he has left them with wonderful memories.
Up until his illness kept him away, you could find Tom every Wednesday evening at FAM; he also enjoyed attending FAM-180 meetings.
He is survived by his wife, Lenette Merrick MacDonald of Meridian; daughter, Haley MacDonald of TN; stepson Shaun Michel and wife Ruth of D.C.; stepdaughter, Jennifer LaRochelle and husband Drew Humphries of VA; grandchildren, Scarlett Rae and Jackson J. Humphries; sister, Patty Lawlor of ME; brother, Timothy Macdonald of ME; nephew Alex Lawlor of ME; and niece, Elizabeth Lawlor of ME.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert “Bobby” Hansel Little, Jr., age 83, of Picayune, MS, on October 10, 2021.  Robert was born in Enterprise, MS, on July 8, 1938, to Melba Moore Little and Robert Hansel Little.  He attended high school at Enterprise High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi (Class of 60), with a degree in business administration.  While studying at the University of Southern Mississippi, he played as an offensive guard and defensive tackle for the Golden Eagles and was a part of the 1958 undefeated national championship team with a record of 9-0. He remained friends with many of his teammates throughout his life.
Robert had a very successful career with over 30 years at Shell Oil Company, working in various roles in the construction operations group.  His job included projects primarily located offshore U.S., but also included projects in Asia and Africa.  Robert loved his work and always spoke fondly of his time with Shell.  His real true passion in life, however, was spending time with his family.  His heart was always full when he was with his family. He was so generous and giving of his time and resources to help others. He would not end a conversation without making sure he knew you had everything you needed.  He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He had a gift for lifting spirits and a comforting presence about him. The world was just a better place with him in it and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah L. Farley, and husband Todd (Houston, TX); his son, Richard H. Little, and wife Brandy (Houston, TX); his daughter-in-law Melissa Little (Edmond, OK); and his stepdaughter, Heather Sevin, and husband Kevin (Houston, TX).  He is also survived by his brother, Harry M. Little, of Meridian, MS.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Fredine Little; his son, Steven L. Little; his brother, Howard H. Little; and sister, Elise Little Crawford.  He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, Jace Little, Brendan Little, Rob Little, Cole Little, Sydney Farley, Meredith Farley, Adam Sevin, and Will Sevin.

Kenneth retired from the City of Meridian Public Work Department, where he served for over 20 years. He was devout in his faith, attending First Assembly Meridian. He was known for helping people in any way he could, but his biggest joy in life was being a Papaw. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Justin Luke (Emily); ex-wife, Joyce Luke; stepchildren, Janice Stewart (Spencer) and Clint Wilkerson (Barbara); grandchildren, Eli Luke, Dylan Haywood (Anna), Ashley Grant (Wayne), Lindsey Gary (Kyle), and Jenna Wilkerson; great grandchildren, Camdon Creighton, Evelyn Grant, and Maizie Haywood; and siblings, Shirley Jean Day and John D. Luke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Martha Stephens Luke, and siblings, Jimmy Luke, Vera Mae Johnson, and Barbara Ann Payne.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Buchanan was preceded in death by her father, Oyd Thornton, her mother, Willa Mae Vanderford Graves, and brother, Bruce Vanderford.

Mrs. Swain, 89, of Meridian, died Friday, August 27, 2021, at Brookdale Senior Living. She and her husband Neill did the accounting at WTOK for many years. She attended East End Methodist Church until its closure. Druid Hills United Methodist Church then became her new church home. She attended the city's exercise class for many years, also. She loved to travel and to eat Blue Bell ice cream. In recent years, Mary lived at home with the special help of Bernice Johnson, Annie Grace, and Pam Allen Burns. In April of this year, she moved into the Clare Bridge wing of Brookdale. The family would like to thank Ginger, the nurses, and the associates of Brookdale for their untiring care of Mary during a hard time in her life. The family would also like to thank the nurses--especially Amy Martin--of Quality Hospice for caring for Mary at the end of her life. Mary had many good friends and was a good friend to many people. She will be sorely missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband Neill Swain and her parents Pascal and Lucille Anderson.
