In 2011, she received a proclamation commemorating her 74th birthday by the Mayor of the City of Waycross extending appreciation for her service. One of Mother’s favorite scriptures was Matthew 9:37, “Then He said unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few.” Vera, Mother, labored for the Lord for fifty-six years of her life. Dora Mae Stewart - June 12, 1945 - February 03, 2022

Departed: 02/03/2022 (Jacksonville)
Obituary Preview: Stewart ~ Dora Mae Stewart known formally to most as “Mother Stewart”, was born June 12, 1946 as an Orlando, Florida native; a budding blessing to her predeceased parents, Willie Walker and Lillie Mae Walker.  Dora was a beloved individual who had a genuine love in her heart for people, a fervent zeal for God and a spirit of perseverance until the very end.  God saw it fit that her assignment on earth was fulfilled, she made her peaceful transition to her heavenly rest  February 3, 2022 from a life well lived, well loved, and as a “well done oh good and  faithful servant” as she would say.
Dora was a true woman of God, an exemplified love and sacrifice in its purest form.  She began to share that love when she met her husband Robert C. Stewart in Orlando, where they created their long-lasting marriage of 53 years.  Planning to move to Georgia, God saw fit to have Dora serve a divine purpose elsewhere, leading her to Jacksonville, Florida, to begin her legacy and divine calling where she has reached many people and impacted countless lives.  Mother Stewart had always had a willingness to help others that manifested in various roles in her life and she never minded sharing what she had with others, whether it be her shelter, home, finances, spiritual guidance or just her time.  She worked many years with Roland & Ann Richardson as a care taker of their multiple affairs, hosting and preparing some of the most delicious meals for events.  But God lead Mother Stewart to her divine calling when she left the Richardson to be a servant of God’s people.  Dora became a member of Philippian Community Church under the guidance of the late Bishop Lawrence C Callahan.  She furthered her spiritual knowledge under the tutorial ship of Dr. Robert G. Witty of Luther Rice College & Seminary.  But those who knew mother knew she was a woman of action not just words. Around 2004, she did small ministry work at Lanier Nursing Home, bringing worship and the word to those who had need of encouragement and hope.  Desiring to reach more people, God spoke to her yet again and later birthing her ministry as Pastor and Founder of Peaceful Kingdom Healing and Refuge Center Inc. with a goal of “seeking to save those who are lost “, where the legacy of love and life began to spread abroad and allowed many a starting place to procure and use their gifts and embodied the term “be ye ready”.  Mother Stewart was devoted to teaching and lived those words; and loving in spite of any circumstance.
She is preceded by both parents, Willie Walker and Lillie M. Walker; adopted daughter, Jacquelin Thornes; sisters, Barbara Parker, Laverne Robinson; brother, John A Walker. Mother Stewart leaves behind a host of beautiful people and devoted family to cherish her legacy, husband, Robert C Stewart; children, Michael Hadley, Tongi Harrison, Bernard Hadley; stepchildren, Robert Stewart Jr, and Ronald Stewart; grand children, Vangi Hadley, Sereta Matthews, Latoria Matthews ,Nia Hadley, James Harrell Jr, Nitiria Gamble, Adam Freeze, Michael Hadley Jr, Janelle Hadley; adopted grands, Brionna, Ariona and Doron Thornes, Tiffany Lewis and Fort Family (9); great –grandchildren (54); brother, Willie Walker Jr; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ziegler; a host of spiritual sons and daughters; god children, April Harris (Chris), Tierra and Tiana Davis; numerous ever loving group of nephews, nieces, and cousins; Peaceful Kingdom members; lifelong friends and spiritual family.
Mother Stewart was full of life and provided corky words, phrases, plus a unique voice that created a loving impact that is deemed unforgettable. We’re grateful to have known a woman so special. She would say “you can’t just talk the talk, you got to walk, talk and walk” and “Give people their roses while they yet live”; and that her legacy of love will forever live on in those who have encountered her presence.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Pastor Dora Mae Stewart, 12 Noon Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Philippian Community Church, 7578 New Kings Road.   Visitation Friday from 5 – 7 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Dr, 904.924.9400.

Delores Mae Long Jackson - December 01, 1934 - January 16, 2022

Departed: 01/16/2022 (Jacksonville)
Obituary Preview: Jackson- “And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” – Revelation 14:14
Delores Mae Long Jackson, a Christian woman of great deeds, was born in Jacksonville, Florida, December 1, 1934, to the late Mr. Nathaniel Long and Mrs. Lucy Ellen Williams. As the only child of her late parents, her cousins served as brothers and sisters. Delores was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Deacon Ransom Jackson, and her grandson, Holt Carlyle Liptrot. Mrs. Jackson attended the Douglas Anderson School, Stanton High School, and Jones Business College.  On September 15, 1952, she married the love of her life and of her affection, Ransom Jackson. To this union, they were blessed by God with two outstanding citizens – a daughter, Charyl Jackson Liptrot, and a son, Andra Ransom Jackson. She was an exceptional wife and mother who shared her life of Christ with them.
Deaconess Jackson accepted the call of Jesus Christ as her Lord at an early age and was baptized. She matured as a Christian, a life of philanthropy, and selfless godly service. During her adolescence years at the Julington Baptist Church, she sang in the choir. Under the divine leadership of her pastor, Reverend William C. Barker, Jr., she and her husband were the very first deacon and deaconess ordained at that church. Years later, her family moved to Mount Calvary Baptist Church where she was Co-Director of the Educational Ministry. Each year this ministry would provide Christian activities and biblical studies for the church.  They also honored many church and community high school seniors and provided scholarships to assist them in their post-secondary educational endeavors.  She was also privileged to serve as the Head Youth ambassador for the number three Junior Usher Board. While continuing her role as a deaconess of District number two, she was a compassionate spirit whose passion and love for Christ was shared with so many persons by visiting the sick, caring for children, and feeding those that were in need.
Towards the golden years of her life, Deaconess Delores and her beloved husband moved their membership to the King Solomon Baptist Church, under the leadership of their lifelong friend, Reverend William C. Barker, Jr.  As an elder in the church, she supervised the Care and Share Ministry. This ministry provided Thanksgiving baskets and annual food drives to families in need, both in the church and the community. This ministry also provided a clothes closet to the citizens of Jacksonville.  Her acts of love and kindness was not out of obligation, but because of who she was and whom she served. She was always reminded that only what you do for Christ will last and that whatever you do, do it to the glory of God! Deaconess Delores’s ministry of giving and sharing became a part of her professional work as well. As an advocate for people in need, especially for women and children, she worked as the Director of Social Services for the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services for many years.
As she departed this sphere of life, she will be dearly missed by her loving children, daughter, Charyl Jackson Liptrot; son–in–law, Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel) Doctor William Holt Liptrot, Jr.; son, Andra Ransom Jackson; a loving cousin/care giver, Mrs. Beverly Fields; a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and family and friends, including Karen and Sharron Patterson. Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Delores Mae Long Jackson will be 11:00AM Monday, January 24, 2022 at King Solomon United Baptist Church, 2240 Forest Street.  Visitation Sunday from 3 – 5:00 PM at The Soutel Chapel.  Interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J.
