He and his wife traveled around Maryland and Delaware racing circuit until he retired. James was a member of the American Legion in Snow Hill and a member of the Salem Church in Pocomoke, Md

James is survived by his wife, Audrey Corbin two stepsons David Clendaniel (Janet) of Magnolia, De Jay A Clendaniel and his wife (Sonya) of Dover De. Grandchildren, Joshua Clendaniel (Casey) of Felton De. David of Florida and Sara Clendaniel of Magnolia and Amber Sharp (Mark) of Milford, De. Great grandchildren, Braedan Wireman. Paisley Clendaniel and Madelyn Clendaniel of Felton De. His sister, Julia, Dickerson of Pocomoke, Md, brother Marvin Corbin (Sandra) of Pocomoke Md.

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased in death by his brother Winfield and his wife Betty Corbin, brother-in-law Russell, Dickerson and sister Nancy Lindland. A special thanks to all our family, friends, and Neighbors for all your help

Born on November 9, 1940, in Cairo, Egypt, Sammy was a beacon of love, humor, and thoughtfulness throughout his 83 years. Sammy's early life in Cairo set the stage for a life of dedication and service.

He was the son of the late Khairia Zaki Heshmat and the late Ahmed Fathi Hafez. He is survived by his sister, Kadria, along with several nieces and nephews back in Egypt. He was proceeded in death by his brothers Saeid & Sadek. His pursuit of knowledge led him to earn a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in Cairo, a testament to his lifelong love for animals and care for their well-being.

Sammy's professional journey brought him to the United States on July 7, 1970, where he would eventually serve as a trusted USDA inspector for 35 years, vigilantly overseeing poultry plants on the Eastern shore of Maryland. His commitment to animal health extended to over 40 years of dedicated service at his private practice, Worcester Animal Clinic in Pocomoke City, MD, where he became a respected figure in the community.

Sammy's personal life was rich with love and partnership. He shared 18 years of marriage with his current wife, Laila Hafez. He also found great love and companionship in his previous marriages, first with Nancy Hafez, loving mother to his two sons, Michael and Mark, and then with Emmy Hafez. Both Nancy and Emmy predeceased him, leaving cherished memories behind. A proud father, Sammy is survived by his son, Michael Hafez who currently lives in Perry Hall, MD with his wife Stephanie, along with their children, Connor and Carter. Sammy's joy was multiplied by his adoration for his two grandsons who brought immense happiness and laughter into his life. He is also survived by his son Mark Hafez who resides in Chesapeake, VA with his girlfriend, Jessica. Sammy's legacy extends through each of them, living testaments to his love, guidance, and humor.

Those who knew Sammy would fondly recall his love for spending quality time with his family. He was the heart of any gathering, often sharing stories that were both humorous and insightful. His passion for life extended beyond his family as he enjoyed traveling to new places, embracing different cultures, and the simple pleasure of attending and watching Baltimore Orioles baseball games.

Sammy's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and kindness. Besides his parents Glenn/Skip/Dad/PopPop was preceded in death by his sister, Maralyn.

Chad graduated from Pocomoke High School, class of 1994 and attended Wor-Wic Community College. He was employed as a foreman by Beauchamp Construction of Pocomoke.

Chad was a member of the Greenbackville Fire Company and loved working on his trucks. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry and always rooted for his Florida Gators and Seattle Seahawks.

Survivors in addition to his parent include his wife, Billie Jean (East) Martin of Pocomoke; six children, Alexis Martin and her partner, Joby Landry, of Cameron, LA, Bryanah Martin of Welsh, LA, Alyssa Martin of Welsh, LA, Briley Martin of Welsh, LA, Kaleb McLean of Greenbackville and Kody McLean and his partner, Raven Raley, of Greenbackville; three grandchildren, John Ryan Landry, Lyla McLean and Saylor Landry; two brothers, Greg Jones and his wife, Michelle, of Gallatin, TN and Brooks Martin and his wife Sara of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Lori Martin of Knoxville, TN; and nieces nephews and cousins.

Born at home in Sign Post, Virginia, on November 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Russell Silverthorne Sr. and Enola Disharoon Silverthorne. She was a homemaker and helped her husband for 76 years, Franklin Allen Holland, on their farm.

She was an active member of Beaver Dam Presbyterian Church for 58 years and loved the church and all the people there. She served as a Sunday School Teacher for the junior high class for many years, Sunday School Superintendent for 30 years, past president of the Willing Workers and an Elder. She had a deep devotion for her God and also served in the Christian Woman's Club, where she was a prayer advisor. She loved her beautiful flowers and was a member of the Garden Club, but her greatest love, was for her family. In school, she was active in sports especially softball and basketball.

Audrey never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She always said she loved the beauty of the world, which God had created.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Diana Holland McAllister Young of Pocomoke City, MD; two sons, James Franklin Holland of New Church, VA and Dale Allen Holland and his wife Sandra of Greenbackville, VA; eight grandchildren, Mike McAllister (Patrick) of Greenbackville, Danna Czesak (Mark) of Wilmington, NC, Brian McAllister (Katherine) of Bishopville, MD, Shana H. Farlow (John) of Stockton, MD, Richard Holland (Anna) of Stockton, MD, Jennifer Holland of Pocomoke City, MD, Andrew Holland of Stockton, MD and Nathan Holland of Stockton, MD; ten great grandchildren, Keegan, Kailyn, Cayman, Hailey, Riley, Kai, Chase, Brendan, Addyson and Liam. Many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and seven special care givers; Peggy, Marcie, Teresa, Lezah, Tess, Denise and Rose. Audrey loved you all so much and the family thanks you for your love and special care.

He shared a lifetime of love and memories with his devoted wife, Sallie Selby-Lafreniere, and was a guiding light to his children, Ann Kimbro (James) and Robert Lafreniere Jr. (Beth). His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Nikki, Jessica, Lauren, Phillip, and Sarah Kimbro, and his great-grandson, Arthur King. He was a caring brother to Shirley (Pete) Hall, and is preceded in death by his siblings Bill Lafreniere, Bobbi Russell, and Joyce Lamagdeleine. His uncle Walt (Sandra) Deyo will hold Robert's memory dear, and he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

For 15 years, Robert served with dedication as a mechanic for the town of Ocean City, where his expertise and hard work were greatly valued. His passion for motorcycles and cars was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that brought him immense joy and a sense of freedom.

Robert's life was a testament to his faith-filled spirit, his loving heart, and his courageous nature. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, but his indelible impact will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. Services are incomplete at this time

Margaret Ann was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Nana. She will forever be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was a lifetime member of Spence Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Edward Phillips of Pocomoke, a daughter JoAnn Pantalone (Steve) of Salisbury, 3 grandchildren Kirsten Taylor (Justin) of Seaford, Sarah Waggoner and Matthew Waggoner of Salisbury, 4 siblings, William Heiser (Joyce), Kenny Heiser (Donna) of Snow Hill, Dorothy Brittingham (Dale) of Sign Post, Va., Emily Bradford of Wallops Island, Va. and a sister-in-law who was more like a sister Becky Gibbons (Doug) of Snow Hill and many nieces and nephews. Margaret Ann is also survived by 5 step children Eddie, Richard, Beth, Aileen, and Dorothy Phillips. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Ray A. After graduating from Pocomoke High School and attending the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Salisbury State University, Terri joined the Somerset County Department of Social Services in 1979 and retired in 2009 as the assistant director for all income support programs. She was integral in establishing Shore Transit, which provides bus services across Somerset, Worcester, and Wicomico counties.

In her spare time, Terri loved to travel, garden, spend time with her family, and spoil her cats.  She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Terri is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, her son and daughter-in-law, a special nephew and sister-in-law, two brothers, a brother–in–law, a nephew, and a host of nieces and sisters–in–law.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City. Family and friends will gather one hour before the service. Other services will be private.

Carolyn Chesser Hoffman - January 12, 1938 - March 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: Carolyn Chesser Hoffman departed this life peacefully on March 16, 2024, at Hartley Hall in Pocomoke City, MD.

Born Jan 12, 1938 to Rubin and Daisy Chesser in Atlantic, VA. After graduation in 1955, from Atlantic High School in Oak Hall, VA she began a career with Citizens National Bank (now PNC) from which she retired in 1990.

In 1991 Carolyn began part time work with Taylor Bank which lasted 10 years. After that, she volunteered for the Blood Bank of Delmarva for six years. In 2009 she began supervising Senior Bingo for the Pocomoke City McDonald’s and the “Over 60’s Club” for the MAC center. For many years she crocheted lap robes for the residents of Manokin Manor Nursing Home.

Carolyn was a member of Bethany U.M.C and attended Downings U.M.C. While attending Bethany, she served on many committees including being the Treasurer for 40 years. Also, she was a 15-year member of the Pocomoke Junior Women’s Club.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dwight Hoffman and daughter Monna Van Ess.

Her survivors include her daughter Karen Bradley and her husband Chris of Atlantic, VA two grandchildren Robert (RD) Van Ess and Carolyn (Carol) Van Ess-Radu her husband Thomas Radu Jr., several cousins and a very special friend and caregiver Peggy Bradley.

A funeral service to honor the legacy of Carolyn will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Pocomoke Community Center, 1410 Market St, Pocomoke, City MD 21851, at 2:00 pm. A public visitation will be held one hour prior, with a catered reception to follow.

Memorial donations can be made in Carolyn’s honor to the Pocomoke Vol. Fire Company 1410 Market St, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.

Obituary Preview: Hannelore Anne Eby McClain Marsh passed from this life to her eternal home with the Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Born January 21, 1948, in Wiesbaden, West Germany to Charlotte Foster Eby and T/Sgt. Charlie Lee McClain.

Hanna spent her first 18 years growing up in Germany where her native language was German as she made her way through the primary and secondary school system. Hanna later became fluent in English while working on the American Air Force Base in Wiesbaden. Around the age of 16 years Hanna connected with her sister Chris in Texas and they began a three-year letter writing adventure which ultimately brought Hannelore to the United States in September 1966. Upon arriving in Texas, she joined her new siblings, Chris, Arnold, Ronald and Aileen, and her dad Charlie and stepmother Emma. In December of 1966 she married her first husband Ronald Williams where to that relationship two sons, Ronald Williams, Jr., and Patrick Williams were born. After her divorce, she was a working single mother with the Government in the District of Columbia and later as a translator for M & M Mars overseas German division.

In 2005 Hanna met the charming Walter Marsh of Greenbackville, Virginia through his mother and in January of 2006 they were married, and Hanna joined Walter and his children Jason and Amanda. Hanna had a great love for bowling and participated in teams in Maryland and Virginia. She also enjoyed every opportunity to grab her fishing rod and head to the water for a day of fishing. Hanna was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Foster Eby, her father Charlie McClain, her sister Aileen McClain Williams and sister Charlie Mae McClain Moore

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Walter Marsh, her sons Ronald and Patrick Williams, stepson Jason (Cristy) Marsh and stepdaughter Amanda (Josh) Davis. Brothers, Charlie Eby (Andrea) McClain, Wiesbaden, Germany, Arnold (Elvera) McClain Temecula, CA, Ronald (Leanne) McClain, Menafee, CA and sister Chris McClain Scott, Hampton, VA. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her special little Ben, who brought Hanna great joy.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, in Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., Pocomoke. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM in the funeral home.

Robert Parks Westfall - May 07, 1948 - February 28, 2024

Obituary Preview: Robert Parks Westfall of Pocomoke City, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024 at the Holly Center at the age of 75. Robert was born on May 7, 1948, the son of the late Ruth Callahan Westfall and Robert Ramsay Westfall of Pocomoke City.

Robert was educated in the Worcester County Public Schools, and graduated from Cedar Chapel Special School. For over forty years, he worked at the Worcester County Developmental Center in Newark. Following his dearly loved mother’s passing in 2008, he moved to a residence operated by Somerset Community Services, worked at their Developmental Center, and participated in their Meaningful Day Services program for many years. Following a brief illness in late 2023, he spent his remaining days under the care of the Holly Center in Salisbury.

Robert loved the beach, both at Assateague, Virginia, and Ocean City, Maryland. He and his family spent their summers at the Lucky Lindy, a cottage in Ocean City, on the ocean side of what is now 42nd Street and Coastal Highway, owned by his grandfather, Griff Callahan. The family moved in on Memorial Day and stayed through Labor Day. In addition, Robert loved all things Disney, especially Mickey Mouse, and throughout his life, his favorite film remained The Wizard of Oz. He truly believed that there’s no place like home, and to him, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, especially Pocomoke City, was always home.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Robert, you’ll know that he never met a stranger, and his greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. With a big heart and a quick wit, he was always ready with a heartfelt compliment or a clever joke. He could often be found on Sunday afternoons holding court on the bench at the Pocomoke Walmart, greeting friends old and new.

Robert is survived by his beloved brother Doug, sister-in-law Peggy, niece Robin (Jonathan), nephew Douglas (Shaun), and great-nephew Noah, as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruthie and Bob, and grandparents Ruth and Griff Callahan, and Madge and Colonel Chester Westfall.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the angels at Somerset Community Services and the Holly Center, who provided such a loving, caring environment for Robert.

She and Daddy married in 1962 and made their home in Roanoke. The highlights of her career included working at the Salem GE Plant, and as a nanny to Tabitha, William and Grace Ball, who have all grown up

and are the most wonderful adults! Her family was the joy of her life. She is survived by two daughters, Mickey and Kim (Brian) to cherish her memory; three loving grandchildren, Brandon, Keeley, and Stephanie; and her beloved siblings, sister Sandra Jean Felts and Gary Wayne Felts (Shirley) Mom received her Vascular Dementia diagnosis in March of 2019, and she had a good run, only being down the final two months of her life. Born on May 9, 1941, in Saxis, Virigina she was the daughter of the late Bryan and Mary Evans. She was known as “Mom Mom” or “Ms. Carolyn” to everyone who knew her. She spent many years at US 13 Dragway as the “50/50 lady” supporting her children and grandchildren as they raced. Carolyn was a lifetime member of the Pocomoke Fire Company Auxiliary. She loved to create floral arrangements, shop, and spend time with her family and Pomeranians.

Carolyn is survived by one son, John Lee Ennis and his wife Veanettea of Pocomoke City, MD; one daughter, Michelle Ennis Taylor and her husband Francis of Pocomoke City, MD; five grandchildren, Jonathan Ennis (Casey), Christopher Ennis (Jenny), Brandon Ennis, Tracy Mason (Katrina) and Amber Thompson (Mark); eleven great grandchildren, Kyleigh Kruse, Charley Thompson, Lyric Mason, Caiden Mason, Leiana Mason, Christopher Ennis, Alyssa Cullen, Alexis Cullen, Dave Holland, Jonathan Handy, Bentley Ross, and several extended family members including nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Ennis, one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Ennis and one sister, Josephine "Joann" Petitt.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Greg Fentress, will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Pocomoke Community Center, 1410 Market Street, Pocomoke City MD 21851, where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Old Snow Hill Road in Pocomoke City.

Fredric Ronald Sawyer - May 13, 1936 - January 29, 2024

Obituary Preview: Fredric Ronald "Ron" Sawyer, 87, passed away at Tidal Health Medical Center in Salisbury, MD on January 29, 2024 of complications resulting from a heart procedure. Ron was born on May 13, 1936 at home in Bunkie, LA to the late Marvin D. "Shorty" and Bessie Blankenship Sawyer. He was the second of five children and the only son.

In his youth, Ron travelled with his family between Bunkie and Lake View, Iowa each summer for the family bee business. While in Iowa, Ron learned how to play baseball and he did it very well. Much to his mother's chagrin after high school graduation in 1954, Ron attended tryout camps for the St Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. Her sights were set on a college education for her son and after not making the cut in the Pros he too turned his eyes to further education. Ron graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute Lafayette, LA (now University of Louisiana-Lafayette) with a degree in Chemical Engineering and on September 18, 1960 stepped off the bus at T's Corner in Temperanceville, VA to start his new job at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility.

This was the dawn of the space age and as the only Chemical Engineer at Wallops at the time, Ron was asked to help form a new organization to focus on Safety. This happened within a few months of his arrival at Wallops and Ron dedicated the rest of his 37-year career to the field of Safety at Wallops. He was widely known throughout NASA for his expertise and he was immensely proud of the work he and his team did to keep the men and women of NASA safe. He established the first quantitative chemistry lab at Wallops as NASA began to work with liquid propellants and other hazardous chemicals. Ron was involved in many NASA projects throughout his career for which he would often tell stories of the “good ole days”. Among these were the 1970 Solar Eclipse Campaign in which they launched 34 rockets in 3 days at Wallops with 11 of them in a 5-minute period. And yet another was working with the Italian Space Agency to help safely launch Scout Vehicles from a converted Texas oil platform off the coast of Malindi, Kenya in the mid 70’s. Even with all the projects Ron had a hand in, there is no doubt that his largest contribution to NASA was building a Range Safety Program, from the ground up, that is staffed with a team of dedicated safety professionals that remains to this day. In June 1990 Ron was awarded the NASA Exceptional Service Award which is one of NASA’s top awards in recognition of his contributions to the Safety of Rocket, Balloon, and Aeronautical Programs and his dedication to improving Safety in operations. Ron often said that "NASA was good to the Boy from Bunkie - I got to see the world and meet many exceptional people". Ron was an avid sportsman and enjoyed an excellent reputation on the golf course. He never forgot anything and always had the answers to trivia questions much to the other players disappointment especially at Lakeside at Mallard's Landing,

Ron was very proud of his family and would brag about each one to everyone he met. He is survived by his daughters Peggy (Wayne) and Kelly (Charlie); grandsons Travis, Sawyer, Paul, and Joel; great-grandchildren Turner, Noah, Hailee, Ariah, Reed, and Riley; and great-great-granddaughter Delilah. Ron is also survived by Sister Linda (Dean); numerous nieces and nephews; and life-long best friend Don Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy; sisters Peggy (Lawrence), Carmen, Enid (Bill); and very special friend Avis Williams. Since Ron lived so far from home, he made Nancy's family his own, he is survived by brothers-in-law Butch (Mary Paul) and Ronnie (Claudia) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Father and Mother-in-law George and Peggy Harmon; brothers and sisters-in-law Walker (Jacquie), Margaret Ann (Quentin), Mary Rose (Bill), and Donna (David); and niece Nancy-Jo.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Florence Joseph; their three children, William Joseph Jr. and his wife Tammy, Gary Joseph, and Janet DeHuarte and her husband Paul; as well as his cherished 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Andy Joseph and his wife Emma, and Calvin Joseph. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Anna Lee Joseph, his brother Alvin Joseph Jr., and sister-in-law Dolly Joseph.

A proud veteran, Bill served his country as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. His service was a testament to his fortitude and patriotism, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life. After returning from the war, Bill became an active member of his community and was involved in various associations that supported veterans and their families.

Bill's work ethic was unparalleled, and he was respected by all who knew him. His hands were skilled and could fix or build anything they touched. This handiness was a trait he generously shared with those around him, always ready to lend a hand or offer guidance. His career was marked by a dedication not only to his craft but to the people with whom he worked.

An avid fisherman, Bill found peace and joy on the water. His love for fishing was not just a pastime but a passion he cultivated and shared with his children and grandchildren. These moments on the water, surrounded by nature, were some of his most treasured times. Those who knew Bill would describe him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man who put his family above all else, and his legacy is evident in the close-knit family he nurtured. His selfless nature meant that he was always there for others, putting their needs before his own. Bill's kindness and willingness to help were felt by everyone he met, and his influence will be missed by many. The void left by Bill's passing is immeasurable, but his spirit lives on in the memories cherished by his loved ones. He was a beacon of light in the lives of his family and friends, and his warmth, generosity, and humor will never be forgotten. Bill's life was a journey of love, service, and commitment to the ideals he held dear.

Shirley leaves behind her daughter, Sheila Lynn Norton (husband, Wayne) of White Oak, GA, a grandson Ronnie (Wayne) Marshall Jr., of Parksley, VA and a precious granddaughter Lacey Renee Marshall also of Parksley, VA, a sister Betty Lawrence (husband, Clifton) of Mardela Springs, MD & several nieces and nephews, one Special Great Niece, Christina Goslee (Lawrence) that sacrificed greatly for Shirley and it is greatly appreciated!!! Louise graduated from Snow Hill High School, class of 1944, and Washington College, class of 1948, with a degree in teaching.

Louise married Warne C. Littleton on August 11, 1951. They were married for 52 years. She taught at Snow Hill High School for 22 years and remained in touch with many of her former students until the time of her death. Upon retirement from teaching, Louise and Warne owned and operated Sno-Mar Gift Shop in Snow Hill, Maryland for thirteen years. She was an active member of the former Wesley United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served on many committees within the church. She was a member and guide at Furnace Town for many years and thoroughly enjoyed the history, especially of Worcester County and Maryland. She loved animals and enjoyed feeding and watching birds and squirrels.

Louise is survived by two nephews and their families, Scott Hancock (Ellen) of Davidsonville, Maryland, and Gary Hancock (Nancy) of Pocomoke City, Maryland, two nieces, Cheryl Vincent (John Robert) of Pocomoke City, and Donna Lambertson of New Church, Virginia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Strayer, Lyndon, and Reg Hancock and nephew, Allan Butler.

She was also a cherished grandmother to Chad Bradford, Mallory Bradford, Hannah (Andrew) Quillen, and Chloe Scarborough. Her delight only grew with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Jaxson Bradford and Turner Jester, who brought her so much happiness.

Beyond her family, Sharon dedicated herself to her community with a passion and enthusiasm that was contagious. She served with distinction in the Delmarva Fireman's Association Ladies Auxiliary, holding the roles of President and Chaplain over the years. Her contributions to the Greenbackville Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary were equally significant, and her devotion to Union United Methodist Church Greenbackville reflected her deep faith and commitment to service.

Sharon's interests were as nurturing as her personality. She found solace and joy in gardening, creating a haven of beauty that reflected her inner grace. The simple pleasure of feeding the birds was a testament to her appreciation for nature and all of God's creatures. Her social spirit shone through during lunch outings with her sweet friends, moments filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Described by those who loved her as faith-filled, loving, and funny, Sharon's legacy is one of warmth and kindness. She touched many lives with her humor and tenderness, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and enduring affection.

As we bid farewell to Sharon B.Mariner, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so generously. Bobby graduated from Pocomoke High School, class of 1965. He was a truck driver at Perdue Farms for over 35 years, where he proudly joined the Million Mile Club.

He was passionate about shooting pool and was the captain of his APA Pool Team that won the league championship. Bobby also enjoyed grilling, working on cars and mowing his lawn. Bobby is survived by his beloved dog, Frank.

Bobby enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He will always be remembered with a smile on his face.

Survivors include two daughters, Tracey Hicks of Pocomoke City and Tiffany Taylor of Fruitland; four grandchildren, Chelsea Ford of Pocomoke City, Hunter Schoolfield of Fruitland, Michaela Hicks of Pocomoke City and Noah Schoolfield and his wife, Alexis, of North East, MD; four great grandchildren, Russell Bailey, Matthew Bailey, Violet, Hazel Schoolfield, as well as one great grandchild that is on the way; two brothers, Paul and Mark Taylor; and a sister, Wanda Deines. He was predeceased by his sister, Lois Marshall and his companion, Polly Darby.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 16, in Holloway Funeral Home, Pocomoke. Visitation will be from Noon – 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Pocomoke.

In her professional life, Pat was known for her dedication and hard work. She spent many years at the Decoy Factory in Oak Hall, Virginia, where her creative talents shone brightly. Later, she took to the roads as a driver for FedEx, where her punctuality and friendly demeanor were appreciated by all who had the pleasure of working with her.

Pat met and married the love of her life, Gary Henderson, and together they shared a beautiful journey. Their family grew to include Pat's son, Shane Woermer, and stepchildren, Hollie Taylor and Adam Henderson, who brought additional joy to her life. Pat's role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and she dedicated countless hours to making cherished memories with her grandchildren.

Known for her loving nature, Pat was the pillar of her family. Her mother, Harriet Runion, and siblings have been comforted by the legacy of kindness that Pat leaves behind. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was the glue that held them together through thick and thin.

Pat's interests were as rich and varied as her character. She had a passion for crafts and sewing, often creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creative spirit. Her love for animals was evident to all who knew her, as she cared for numerous pets throughout her life with the utmost compassion. Pat also enjoyed the thrill of going to auctions, always on the lookout for unique finds and treasures to add to her collection.

Spending time with her grandchildren was Pat's favorite pastime, and she could often be found indulging in activities that brought smiles to their faces. Whether it was crafting, playing games, or simply sharing stories, Pat's presence was a source of comfort and joy.

She was the proud mother of her daughters, Cheryl Maguire (Mark Maguire), Cindy Collins (Elsey Collins), Debbie Waidner (Troy Waidner), Robin Daisey (Herman Daisey), and son Michael Newsome; her legacy extends through her adoring grandchildren, Rachel Carmean (Ben Carmean), Katherine Maguire, Shawn East, Derrick East, Lacy Hudson, Troy Waidner Jr., Mya Bridges, Amanda Daisey, Coty Newsome, and Michael Newsome II; many treasured great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings Roland Matthews and Carolyn Rayfield.

Nancy was known to many as she worked as a bartender in various restaurants and bars over the years. Her dedication extended beyond her professional life as she was a committed member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and the American Legion. Nancy found solace and joy in her hobbies, with many days spent fishing, walking the beach, and delighting in shopping adventures.

Nancy's unwavering love and caring spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered as the heart of her family and a friend to all.

Born on November 21st 1954 in Nassawadox, VA, he was the son of the late Kenneth William Rantz Sr. and Margaret Ann Bloxom Rantz.

He graduated from Pocomoke High School in 1972 and attended UMES. He was the 3rd generation of Rantz Trucking which now is 82 years old. He was dedicated to his heritage. He was also a Worcester County School bus driver for more than 37 years.

He was a faithful member of Lynnhaven Baptist Church and served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and various committees over the years. He enjoyed driving the church bus for various trips. He was a member of the Elks Club in Pocomoke City, the Moose in Princess Anne, and a past president of the Rotary Club in Pocomoke City and a member of the Eagles Club of Daytona FL.

KW never met a stranger, enjoyed talking to people and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed driving his trucks, riding motorcycles with his friends and football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had a heart of gold and loved to help people. He loved his family, his church family and his friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

KW is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carol Anne Martin Rantz, son Ryan (Becki), son Jamison (Jamie), sister Sharon Rantz Sturgis (Don) brother Jeff (Cheryl), Grandchildren dear to his heart Savannah, Mason, Brayden and Madison Rantz. Numerous special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Lynnhaven Baptist Church, Pocomoke MD on Saturday, December 30th at 10 am for visitation and service at 11 am.
