He is preceded in death by his parents Alvah and Fay Richardson, his brother, Gerald Richardson and his wife Faye.

Jimmy is survived by his three children: Sandy Richardson Atnip and her husband, Craig of Anderson, MO, Randy Richardson and his wife, Regina of Bentonville, AR, and Tona Richardson of Kimberling City, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Richardson and wife, Diane of Kimberling City, MO and Donald Richardson and wife Ann of Pearland, TX and his sister, Linda Richardson Baker of Springfield, MO.

Jimmy's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the stories shared and the memories cherished.

She often referred to herself as a “foodie,” and loved trying new food and desserts any chance she got. Her home was an extension of her spirit, adorned with a delightful collection of owl knick-knacks, the gentle melodies of her windchimes and the whimsical charm of her yard decor. These treasures brought her great joy and served as a reflection of her unique character.

Family was the cornerstone of Victoria’s world. She is survived by her loving children: daughters Daelynn and Everest; sons Asher, Aaedyn and Jackson. Victoria’s unwavering love and guidance shaped her children into remarkable individuals, each carrying a piece of her indomitable spirit. Her role as a mother was one she cherished above all, and her legacy will continue to live on through them.

Victoria was the embodiment of a spirit that refused to be dimmed. Even in her final days, her humor remained a comforting presence, bringing smiles to faces even when hearts were heavy. Her courage in facing her illness head-on inspired all who were privileged to be part of her journey.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, FJ and Elma Suter; his brothers, Leo Suter and his wife Jon Lee, Mike Suter, Noble Suter and his wife Betty, Mack Suter and his wife Penny; and his sister, Judy Suter. His legacy continues through his devoted wife of 53 years, Brinda Suter; his son, Rocky Van Suter and Rocky's significant other, Amanda King; his adored grandchildren, Brady, Catherine, and Brinlee Suter; his brothers James, Gary, and Bill Suter and wife Marian, sister-in-law Debbie Suter; as well as nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Joe's life was rooted deeply in the soil of Fordland, where he worked as a dairy farmer for many years. His connection with the land and his Holstein cows were at the heart of his existence. In addition to farming, Joe was a familiar face in the Fordland community, working various jobs around the Springfield area and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Known for his love of the outdoors, Joe found solace and joy in hunting and spending time in nature. However, his greatest pleasure was found in the company of his family. Joe cherished every moment he spent with them, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His cows, his son and his grandkids were indeed his life, and he nurtured them with the same loving care and attention.

A family directed graveside memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024 in Fordland Cemetery. Cremation is in the care of Holden Cremation and Funeral Service, Sparta.

Obituary Preview: Michael (Mike) Dean Ray passed away April 13, 2024 at the age of 67. He was born May 27, 1956 to parents Dorothy (Reed) & Woodrow (Woody) Ray in Dodge City, Kansas.

Preceding him in death are his parents; sister Hazel Mead, and brother Steven Ray.

Mike graduated from Dodge City High School and then graduated from Kansas State University in 1980 with a bachelor of science degree.

He served in the United States Airforce for 20 years as a Navigator in B-52’s, FB111”s and the B-1. Being at the top of his skills his colleagues chose the call sign “LEGEND” for Mike. After retiring from the AirForce he went on to be a flight test engineer for Lockheed Martin, retiring in the fall of 2018.

Survivors include Mike’s wife Karla; daughter Melissa Ray, son Mason (Laura); sister Sandra (Richard) Fick; and 6 granddaughters that he cherished being their PAPA. He will also be remembered by other relatives and many friends.

Obituary Preview: Thomas Edward Dennis was born on September 19th, 1942 in Pamona California to Carl Edward Dennis and Lulla Irene Dennis. He departed this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on April 10, 2024. The family moved to Missouri where Tom went to school and spent most of his life.

He was a member of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alaska and then in California. He was a crew chief for the F104 fighter jets during the Vietnam Era. After the Air Force he moved to Arizona where he worked as a civilian for Lockhead Air Craft Company for 10 years. He moved back to Missouri in the early 70’s and has kept his residence there ever since. He married Jane Louise Bowers in 1976 and to this union he brought two sons, Cary Edward Dennis and Scot Allen Dennis and he gained a daughter, Deborah Jane Holderby Nicholson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rick Dennis, Sister and brother-in-law Linda and Jerry Heard and brother-in-law Danny Pogue. Remaining is his wife of 48 years, Jane Dennis, his sister Deborah Pogue, 3 children: Cary Dennis and Kim Barlow, Debbie and Scott Nicholson, Scot and Debra Dennis, 12 grand children and their families and 10 great grandchildren.

He enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and playing his musical instruments. He is famous for his Hoot-n-nanny’s where his motto was “come early and stay late”.

He was known county wide as “Papa Tom” and referred to his favorites as “Sug”. He spent time teaching his family to drive, hunt and fish and gave us all a love of mechanics in various levels. He also taught his two sons and his wife how to fly. He was usually the instigator in all sorts of fun including his “Sasquatch box” and the Hillbilly cruiser which he took to parades and kept the crowd cool by squirting water on them from the hidden water guns.

He had a kind heart and was always ready to share a smile and gave the very best hugs when he saw you. Some of his family’s best memories were his famous big breakfasts which included taters, homemade gravy and natural peanut butter which stuck to the roof of your mouth and dropping candy parachutes from his airplane to his friends and family.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A family directed memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Diggins Baptist Church in Seymour, Missouri.  Visitation will be before the service starting at 1:00 p.m. also at the church.  Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri at a date yet to be determined.

A loving mother, Mary Ann's legacy continues through her daughters, Leann Taylor and her husband Donnie, Kimberly Gulley, and April Payne. She was a guiding star in the lives of her grandchildren, Clayton Taylor, Jessica Wilson and her husband Jason, Justin Gulley and his wife Nikki, Kelly Gregg and her husband Chase, and Cortnie Tingler. Her great-grandchildren, Skyler Taylor, Chase Kroll, Janessa Wilson, Beau Sager, Taylynn Sager, Colten Gregg, and Becka Gulley, will carry the light of her love and the joy of her spirit for generations to come.

She found solace in the melodies of country music, with George Strait being a particular favorite. She delighted in sewing, painting ceramics, crocheting, and bowling. The pages of many a book turned beneath her fingers, and she enjoyed audiobooks. She was also known for her competitive yet joyful spirit during her monthly game nights with friends.

The centerpiece of Mary Ann's life was undoubtedly her family. She cherished every moment spent with them. Her faith was another cornerstone of her existence, with Psalms 23 holding a special place. Her spirit will continue to guide us through life’s journey.

Her funeral will be held at Clear Creek Cemetery at a date to be determined by family.

Steve grew up surrounded by the love of his family, including his late sister Sharon Driskell, and his surviving siblings, David (Brenda) Coffman, Beverly Emery, and Brenda (Kenny) Massey. He carried the values of family and hard work throughout his life, exemplifying these in every action and relationship. After graduating from Mountain Grove High School, Steve's path was characterized by a dedication to sharing his knowledge and zest for life with everyone he met.

As an avid outdoorsman, Steve found solace and joy in the natural world. He was happiest when he was outside, whether he was teaching others about nature or simply enjoying the serenity of a quiet day in the tree stand. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and he had a unique ability to make every moment count.

Steve's legacy is carried on through his beloved son, Anthony Coffman, daughter-in-law Alesia Coffman, and his adored grandchildren, Peyton, Garrett, and Aubrey Coffman. As well as Skylea Ray-Lynn Sherer who held a very special place in his heart. He instilled in them not only his love for the outdoors but also the importance of living with a loving and passionate heart. Steve's guidance and wisdom will continue to resonate with his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Steve's life was further enriched by the love and companionship of his girlfriend, Chelena Portman, who stood by his side with unwavering support. Steve was a man who was loved and cherished by everyone.

Those who knew Steve will remember him as a loving presence, a handy and resourceful individual, and a man who pursued his passions with every fiber of his being. His departure leaves a void in the lives of many, but his spirit and the memories he created will endure forever.

Kat graduated with her high school diploma, proudly showcasing her dedication and work ethic, qualities that she carried into all aspects of her life. She was a woman of many interests, finding joy in the simplicity of nature. Kat was an avid fisherwoman, often found by the water's edge at dawn, casting her line with patience and hope. She treasured her solitary walks in the woods, where she felt at home among the trees and wildlife, and her enthusiasm for mushroom hunting brought both excitement and delicious finds to her family's kitchen table.

Not one to shy away from physical activity, Kat loved riding bicycles, whether pedaling through the neighborhood or exploring the scenic trails that Missouri had to offer. She was also known for her ability to work on vehicles, a skill that earned her respect and admiration. Kat could often be found in the garage, tools in hand, tinkering on anything that sparked her curiosity, always eager to learn how things worked and how she could fix them.

Kat's love for her family was boundless, and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and resilience. She is survived by her father, Jay Inman, who instilled in her the values of hard work and perseverance; her sister, Jessica Inman, with whom she shared countless cherished memories; and her brothers, Justin(Jesika), Kaleb, and JR Inman, who will forever remember her hearty laugh and adventurous spirit. Her nieces, Kira, Coraline, Temperance, and Mia, and her nephews, Brady and Stetson. Her partner, Lisa Jones and her two children, Haley and Ashton Jones, who were the light of her life. Her love for them was evident in every action, every sacrifice, and every moment she spent nurturing their growth and happiness. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Kat was preceded in death by her grandfather, Junior Inman, a man of great wisdom from whom she inherited her strength of character, and her mother, Sherri Hurst, whose gentle heart and compassionate soul continue to live on through Kat's own loving nature.

Katrina Ann Inman's life was a testament to the beauty of authenticity and the power of a generous heart. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit will continue to inspire us to find joy in the simple things and to approach life with the same curiosity and passion that she did.

As the sun sets on her time with us, we bid farewell to a remarkable woman whose memory will forever walk beside us in the woods, float alongside us on the water, and ride with us on every journey. She is survived by her loving husband, Hugh "Skip" Bryan, daughters Shannon Beers and Susanne McCafferty and their spouses David and Zach, stepsons Micky Bryan and his partner Christa Hoag. Four grandchildren Chapell Wilson, Liam Wilson, Katy Wilson, and Henry McCafferty.

Ruth Ann will be missed immensely, but we take comfort in knowing she is joined in eternal peace with her loving parents, brother, and friends who have made this journey ahead of her.

He was born July 31, 1937 in Williston, North Dakota, the youngest son of Manferd and Lucille Seabrook. His working life was in Michigan working for United Parcel Service. In 1994 he and Marie relocated to Missouri where Gerald retired after 35 years. He and Marie enjoyed life on the farm before and even more after Gerald’s retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Debrah Seabrook.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marie Seabrook; one daughter, Christine Smith; a brother, Wesley Seabrook; four step children, Diana Worth and husband Fred, Tracy Everhart and wife Ling, Amanda Evans, and Michael Evans; one granddaughter, Amanda Batterson; two great grandsons.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date. Cremation is in the care of Holden Cremation and Funeral Service, Sparta.

Obituary Preview: Mary O. Thompson, 73, of Springfield, Missouri, peacefully passed away at home on March 20, 2024, after battling a long illness. Born on July 11, 1950, in Concordia, Kansas, Mary's vivacious spirit was evident from her earliest days. Mary graduated from Concordia High School in 1968, where she excelled academically, and was homecoming queen. She then went on to Kansas State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater in 1972.

Mary later obtained a law degree from George Mason University in 1985 and was the valedictorian of her class. She had a remarkable 32-year career dedicated to practicing law in workers' compensation. A champion for equality and justice, Mary extended her legal expertise beyond the courtroom, often generously aiding friends, and family with their legal challenges.

Mary found joy in various interests, including sailing, gardening, traveling, reading, cinema, and music; always looking forward to watching the Grammy Awards every year. She also loved watching all Kansas sports teams but maintained a loyal allegiance to Kansas State University.

An advocate of empowerment for girls and women, Mary actively encouraged others to pursue education and independence. In her later years, she discovered a hobby in watercolor painting and found fulfillment in her church community, regularly attending Bible study and other group activities.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Curtis; her father, Lindell Owensby; her sister, Peggy Simon; and stepdaughter, Katrina Holland. She is survived by her husband, Apostle Larry Maddox of Springfield, Missouri; her sisters, Rebecca Webb of Springfield, Missouri, and Patricia Macfarlane (Mark Matthew) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her son, Justin Thompson (Stephanie) of Olathe, Kansas (grandchildren Emma and Aidan); her daughter, Abbie Elpers (Ben) of Wichita, Kansas (grandchildren George and Grace); stepdaughter, Sedalia Wade (Corey) of Chattanooga, Tennessee (step-grandchildren Makayla, Massie, and Corey Jr.); stepdaughter Shakia Wells (step-grandchild Te’Ann) of McMinnville, Tennessee; stepson, Larry Maddox Jr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved dog, Sasha.

Memorial service will be under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. of Springfield, MO.

Flowers for the service may be delivered directly to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home until Friday afternoon of April 26, 2024.

Cathy's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Jeff Griffin of Eldridge, Missouri, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and unconditional love. Her children Connie Mathis (husband Marty) , Cathy McGuire (husband Tony), Jeffrey Griffin (wife Lu Tana), Mellissa Stevens (husband Chris), and Alec Carr (wife Tammy), all remember her as a beacon of guidance and affection. Cathy's love knew no bounds, extending to her seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. At the time, a Ukrainian Assembly of God Church welcomed them into their community and translated their services into Spanish. They embraced them and put together their wedding and a full reception and their journey in America began.

The year 1970 was a turning point for Natalia as she embraced her true calling alongside her beloved husband, Otoniel (Tony) DeAlmeida. Together, they planted the seeds of faith in the hearts of many, helping establish the first Portuguese-speaking Assembly of God Church (USA) on the East Coast called Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Newark, New Jersey. Their journey continued in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where they began another Maranatha Assembly of God Church serving as pastors and touching lives for 30 years. An intercessor by nature, Natalia stood in the gap for many, offering prayers and support, embodying the essence of what it means to truly care for others and point them to Christ. She was an amplifier for God, encouraging others in their walk with God even through her last week here with us.

Family was the cornerstone of Natalia's world. She and Tony raised their children, Rachel and Debbie, with love and faith in God as their guiding principles. Son-in-law Joe Dan, along with grandchildren Jace, Caya, Rebecca, and Savannah, added layers of joy and laughter to her life. She was the heart of their home. Her most favorite game to play with the family was Skip Bo, and she enjoyed one-on-one “Skippy Do” competitions (as she called it) with her daughter, Rachel.

Natalia DeAlmeida's story is not one of an end but a continuation. Her legacy lives on in her family and in the lives she touched. As we celebrate this extraordinary woman, let us carry her legacy forward with the same fervor and love for God that she embodied.

Sharon, born at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento, California to William and Irene Loudermilk was the youngest of three children. She lived in Isleton until graduating high school, where she returned to Sacramento to work in the clerical field. Later, she married and moved to Lodi, California where she raised her two children.

Her life’s journey took her to Bend, Oregon, and Evergreen, Colorado. In 1993, she returned to Oregon, where she met the love of her life, Ed Bailey. Shortly after meeting the love of her life, they moved to Missouri and were wed under a beautiful oak tree and spent the next 27 years, sharing their life together.

Sharon’s talents included sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She could sew anything from a simple shirt to a one-of-a-kind wedding gown, and baby blankets. There was not anything she couldn’t create with her needle and threads. She spent countless hours cultivating her own vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Another of her passions was cooking and baking. She loved to fill a table with home cooked meals and baked goods for anyone and everyone to enjoy.

For a short while, she worked as a veterinary assistant and office manager, where she had the opportunity to express her love for animals. Growing up, she never turned away any creature that was brought home. She simply took them in and loved them and they in turn loved her back.

Her greatest passion was her family. She was a loving wife, a caring mother, and a proud grandmother of three.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Ed; daughters Kerri and Kim; grandchildren, Zackary, Hannah and Olivia.

Family was the cornerstone of Juanita's world. She raised her sons—Terry, James, Jerry and Tony with love and an unwavering commitment to their well-being. In his career, Walter worked at M-E-C Company from 1967 to 1973, he then moved to Guaranty Performance from 1973 to 2002, where he continued designing and installing electrical panels for drying agricultural products. Additionally, Walter earned his Master Electrician certification and owned and operated B&N Electric.

Walter worshipped at First United Methodist Church in Independence, KS where he was active in many aspects of the church including development and implementation of media for services. He also served on the Great Plains Conference District Committee on Ministry. Walter continued his media contributions at King’s Way United Methodist Church in Springfield, MO where he enjoyed his weekly men’s group meetings.

A kind, quiet, unassuming man of few words, Walter’s humor was often overlooked. It was most noted by his friends and family by his goofy faces, occasional dry wit, and playful antics while waterskiing. He was the man behind the camera, capturing candid moments at basketball games, track meets, family and community events. He enjoyed reading, and was also very methodical and analytical, pouring over data endlessly. He had a passion for sports and was an avid supporter of his daughters’ and grand-daughter's activities. Walter also found joy in classical music.

Walter’s generosity and devotion were evident through his many philanthropic activities. He was a founding member of the Independence Community Youth Center in Independence, Kansas, and was active in the Lions Club International where he served as President. Walter also helped establish the Montgomery County (KS) Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and traveled on numerous Mission trips.

Walter is survived by his wife, Sandra Hoobler Nelson; daughters, Angela Nelson Martin (Camdenton, MO) and Cynthia Nelson Wiseman (Springfield, MO) ; grand-daughter, Peyton Wiseman; son-in-laws Rich Martin and Heath Wiseman; and sister, Eileen Hendrickson (Hutchinson, KS). Donald is also survived by his brother, Frank Kubicki, and his wife Joann.

Leon Krutsinger. They were married January 28, 1955. Thery were married 66 years when Leon passed away. They had 2 daughters to this union.

Joyce became a Christian as a teenager. Her sister Annabel was very instrumental in her becoming a Christian. She was an active member of First Baptist Church for 45 years. She worked with the youth in Graded Choirs, Girls in Action and Acteens.

Joyce was known for her homemade bread, lasagna, cookies and strawberry pies. Joyce’s love language was cooking. She would take meals to people who had surgery or were homebound due to illness. She was a talented seamstress. At the age of 90 she made 250 masks for her family and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; all 3 of her sisters, Annabel Douglas, Mary Jane Smith and Ruth Douglas; her daughter LeAnn Krutsinger Hartzell Berndt, and her husband, Leon Krutsinger.

Joyce is survived by her daughter GaLyn Westfall Hoelzle (Mark) of Ozark, MO; grandchildren, Tyler Hartzell (Rachel) Bartlesville, OK, Weston Hartzell of Rolla, MO, Anna Belle O’Dell (Bret) of Crocker, MO, and Andy Westfall (Tressa) of Republic, MO; great grandchildren, Adilyn (Addi), Eleanora (Nora), and Maverick (Mav); and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held by the family 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church (525 South Avenue, Springfield, Missouri).
