Obituary Preview: William George Cataline, age 88 of Lebanon, Kentucky, and formerly of Eaton Rapids, MI, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Springfield Nursing and Rehab. Bill was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 02, 1933 and throughout his life, lived in Michigan, Colorado, Arizona, and Kentucky. He was a member of the East Tawas Presbyterian Church. After 30 years with General Motors, he retired in 1994. It was at this time that he and his wife Marilyn started traveling throughout the United States, visiting fifty capitals along the way.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Cataline, and father Leslie Cataline, stepfather Harry Tracy and a brother Ron.
Surviving him are his wife, Marilyn Cataline, three children, Jeffery, Julie, and Jon, brothers Jim and Dick, a sister Sharen, nine grandchildren, eleven of thirteen great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Bill participated in sports in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and was active in Youth Football Programs in the Lansing, Michigan area. He loved traveling, biking, carpentry and building, and enjoying his grandchildren. He served his country with the U.S. Army. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Skinner Funeral Home, 315 S River Street, Eaton Rapids, Michigan 48827. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services. A luncheon will be held at 3:00 P.M., also at Skinner Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Rosehill Cemetery at a later date. Obituary Preview: John Smith, age 94, of Mt. Blanchard, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. She was born on February 7, 1928, to the late Don O. and Ruth (Altman) Arnold in Findlay. Donna was a Findlay High School graduate and married Gerald L. Lease on June 24th 1950, and he preceded her in death on May 28th 2012.
Donna is survived by sons: Ron of Mt. Blanchard and Denny (Susan) of Bixby, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Riley, Taryn, Alyson and Amanda. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Lyle and Glen Arnold.
A member of Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church, Donna retired from United Aircraft Products in 1993. She loved traveling and camping at Yellowstone National Park, playing cards with her many friends, and especially her grandchildren. A special thanks to Bridge Hospice and Larry and Karen Lease for all of their support.
Graveside rites will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Mt. Blanchard Cemetery with Pastor Brett Kelly officiating. A luncheon will be held at Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church following the graveside service. Arrangements are being handled by CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington. Memorials may be given to either the church or to the Forest Library. Online condolences are welcomed at www.coldrencrates.com.
