Aline G. Hansen, 75, of Elkton, MD went to be with the Lord with her family by her side on November 10, 2014. Born December 23, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Andree and Louis Douesnel.
Aline attended many private schools in Europe and graduated from Berlitz, majoring in ancient history. Among her many hobbies were ceramics, cross stitching, playing BINGO and most recently playing Pogo games on her laptop. Besides the love she had for her family, she enjoyed her dog, "Little Bit".
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Earl N. Hansen; children, Marc A. Hansen, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Monique "Nicky" G. Hansen, Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Heather and Jeannie Jones; two great grandchildren.
Aline was preceded in death by her son, Michael E. Hansen.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with interment in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park.

William Francis Pursley, age 88, of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012. Born in Elkton on October 17, 1923, he was the son of the late William P. and Stella Butler Pursley.
Mr. Pursley was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired after 38 years of service from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Pursley was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Ducks Unlimited. An avid baseball fan, he loved the Orioles and for many years, had been very active in Little League, serving as a manager and umpire. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, winning many father-son fishing tournaments with his son. Mr. Pursley loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spending many hours teaching them baseball, hunting and fishing skills.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Grace Grant Pursley; children, Darlene Gregg, Augusta, WV, Ginny Simpers and William L. Pursley and wife, Trish, all of Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Dawn Selestok and husband, Drew, Rodney Blansfield, Marc Simpers and wife, Jennifer, Zach Pursley and Jessica Pursley; and great-granddaughters, Allicyn and Julia Selestok.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pursley was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Pursley.
Prayer service will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD, with military honors by American Legion Mason-Dixon Post #194, Rising Sun, MD.
Flowers are welcome; however, contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, in care of the funeral home.

A U.S. Army veteran of WWII, Mr. Daniel retired as an inspector from Chrysler. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his step-son, James R. Daugherty, Clayton, GA; siblings, Loyd R. Daniel and wife, Oleta, Elkton, MD, Horace W. Daniel and Birdie J. Nowlin, both of Manchester, TN; 8 grandchildren, including Toni Bartlet; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mattie M. Daniel.
Funeral service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, November 29, at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy, New Castle, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
