Norah Virginia Coleman Yarbrough was born July 4, 1946, to Lawrence Coleman and Ola Mae Hopson Coleman. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Coleman and Ola Mae Hopson Coleman; two brothers, Lawrence Coleman, Jr., Louis Coleman; three sisters, Annie Bell Coleman, Vastie Coleman Fisher, Ira Lou Coleman Long. Norah Virginia Coleman Yarbrough departed this life on March 9, 2024 at Christus St. Michael Hospital with her family by her side.
Norah Virginia united with Oak Grove Baptist Church. She graduated from Oak Grove High School, Rosston, Arkansas, Class of 1964. Norah moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1964 where she met and married Albert Turner, Jr. Through this union she had three daughters. Norah moved to Rockford, Illinois in 1970 and was employed by General Electric as an electronic technician. Norah attended Alberto’s Beauty College and became a licensed cosmetologist in 1986. Norah was employed at Hamilton Sunstrand as an aerospace overhaul mechanic for 24 years. She retired on July 21, 2012 and moved back to her birthplace, Rosston, Arkansas.
Norah remarried James Yarbrough after a long courtship in March, 2018. Norah enjoyed shopping, traveling and crafts.
Norah had a high level of concern for people in need. She started a charity called The Angel of Mercy for her community of Rosston, Arkansas.
Norah is preceded in death by her husband, James Yarbrough; son-in-law, Rufus Scott.
Norah leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters, Paula (Dennis) Locke of Rosston, Arkansas, Pamla Scott of Rockford, Illinois, Pesandra (Steve) Jackson of Rockford, Illinois; brothers, Horace (Loretta) Coleman, Dave (Doretha) Coleman, Herbert (Charlotte) Coleman, Otis (Casha) Coleman; sister, Ireane (Robert) Tidwell; sister-in-law, Dorothy Coleman; seven grandchildren, Marcellous, Isaish, Matthew, Bianca, Kierra, Markaja, Brittney; eighteen great-grandchildren; two bonus great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends. II Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body
and be present with the Lord.

Selma Greene entered this life on August 22, 1934, in Washington, Arkansas. She was born the third child a few minutes after her identical twin sister, Thelma of the late William (Buck) & Willie K. Mitchell. Two brothers, William Mitchell Jr., and Charles E. Mitchell, and two sisters, Thelma Mitchell, and Jestine Dixon, all have preceded her in death. Selma received her formal education at Lincoln High School, and at an early age, she accepted Christ and united with Saint Paul C. M. E. Church.
In her youth, she enjoyed singing with her twin sister under the direction of her mother as a musician. The twins singed gospel music on the radio station, KXAR in Hope, Arkansas.
After high school graduation, she pursued an education in cosmetology in Little Rock. These beautician skills later came in handy with her four beautiful daughters.
Her first marriage was to the late Samuel Sheffield and to that union, three children were born. On December 23, 1966, she married Earnest Lee Greene and was married for 48 years, who preceded her in death, and to that union, three children were born.
In her youth, she lived in many places, New Mexico, California, Nebraska, and finally settled down in the beautiful Washington.
She worked for 38 years at Champion Parts in Hope, Arkansas as a Line Leader and then was promoted to foreman until retirement. After retirement, she worked in home health care for 4 years.
Her favorite pastime was when she enjoyed spending time with her family, near and far. She loved shopping and dressing up. She had a green thumb because she loved working in her flower beds and potting plants.
She had an eye for aesthetics, and she enjoyed the finer things in life. She decorated her home, and she was always keeping up with holidays and seasons.
Her children called her the Queen of Fashion because whether she was going to church, the post office, the doctor’s office, or Walmart she would be dressed from head to toe. She was a classy lady and she carried herself in that way.
Selma leaves to cherish her legacy, two sons; Ricky Sheffield of Fort Worth, Texas, and Charles Sheffield (Danielle) of Woodbridge, New Jersey. Four daughters; Shelia Shannon of Desoto, Texas, Earnestine Greene of Dallas, Texas, Michelle Tyson of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Mary Austin of Glenn Heights, Texas. Nine beautiful grandchildren, Chronda Reagan, Kevin Reagan, Carlis Williams, Julian Williams, Orlando Austin, Jeremy Sheffield, Ireanna Scott, Darius Tyson, and Brooklyn Sheffield. Eleven great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law, Ester Stuart. A host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Obituary Preview: Brother Jewel David Muldrow was born on August 31, 1951 to the late Jewel Henry and Melba A. Nelson-Muldrow. Jewel united with St. Peter A.M.E. Church in Willisville, Arkansas at an early age. Education was important to him. He completed High School at Oak Grove High School. He was a graduate of the class of 1970. He furthered his education at Southern State (Southern Arkansas University) College in Magnolia, Arkansas.
Jewel was always the life of the party. He lived life to the fullest. His nieces and nephews loved to see him coming in his red attire. He loved to look good from his head to his toes. His favorite color was “Red.” He was a proud father to four beautiful children: Carla, Marquis, Kisha and Scotty. Jewel lived his life treating everyone with love and respect. He was a man of his word. If you asked him to do something he would not let you down.
During his youthful years, he work diligently at IVI (Industrial Vehicles International) Warehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was responsible for an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders while operating warehouse equipment.
God saw fit to call Jewel home on February, 16, 2024 at his home in Hope, Arkansas. He is sadly missed but forever in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Melba Muldrow, brothers Burnis Muldrow Sr, and Hershel Muldrow; sisters, Marian Yvonne Muldrow-Gulley, Hattie Louise Muldrow-Williams, and Mildred Muldrow-Harris.
Jewel David leaves to cherish his memories his two daughters, Carla and Kisha; two sons, Marquis and Scotty; two brothers, Larry Muldrow and Curtis Muldrow; one sister, Bertha (Ron) Muldrow; three nephews reared as brothers, Clayborn Martin, Willie Martin, and Luther Martin; a very special friend, Billy Joe Braggs; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. THEY WOULD LATER RELOCATE TO FLINT, MICHIGAN. THREE CHILDREN THAT SHE LOVED VERY MUCH WERE BORN OF THIS UNION. ANNIE LATER MOVED TO LOS ANGELES, CA WHERE SHE LIVED FOR 20 YEARS. Obituary Preview: In the beauty and peacefulness of the evening, in the glowing of dawning, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Fern Irene Scoggins, met with the sunset drifting softly into peaceful afterglow; the mystery of God’s love and tender mercy, sinking the heart into deep sleep and eternal rest.
Mrs. Fern Scoggins was the second child born to the late Bennie & Edna Mitchell on February 23rd, 1939, in Blevins, Arkansas. She departed this life January 14th, 2024, at Howard Memorial Hospital at the age of 84.
She was joined in holy matrimony to Earl J. Scoggins after six weeks of dating on October 18, 1961. To the union there were two children, Gremyko (deceased) and Asia Scoggins.
She graduated from Blevins High School 1957 and earned her BS degree in Elementary Education from AM&N now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
She was a retired schoolteacher in Arkansas teaching at, Clow, Old Washington, Nashville, and Saratoga.
She became a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church after marrying her late loving Husband, Earl J. Scoggins and later joined New Light C.M.E. Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Asia Brazil Scoggins of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, Gremyko Scoggins, Jr., Chase Scoggins, and Gabrielle (Tootie) Scoggins; six great-grandchildren, Gremyko, III, Chiasia, Ge’Naiya, Cadence Michelle, Cataleya, and Gaiige Scoggins; one brother, Benny (Dorthy) Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; three very special nephews and one very special niece; Eric, Undre, Caleb A Brunson, and Kenya Harris and a host of relatives and friends.
She is preceded by her husband Earl J. Scoggins, one son, Gremyko Scoggins, Sr.; her sister, Ruby Brunson; her great-granddaughter G’Jionni Miracle Scoggins, and parents, Bennie & Edna Mitchell and several Uncles and Aunts.
God gave Fern her new wings so she could soar to her new heavenly body where there is no more pain and suffering only peace and happiness. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. We know you are enjoying your time with Jesus! We miss and love you!

Ms. Earnestine Jefferson was born December 17, 1949, in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Fred and Clara Jefferson.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended St. Luke CME church in Ozan, AR where she was baptized.
She attended school in Clow, AR until it closed, and she later transferred to Washington High School where she graduated from. She went to college in Texarkana where she got a certificate in Business. Shortly after receiving her certificate, she worked as a secretary in Texarkana. When she relocated back to Nashville, Arkansas, she worked 35 years at Jan Eze Plating where she retired from, and she continued her employment at Wal Mart of 30 (+) until her health forced her to retire from there.
Earnestine was known for her infectious laugh and outstanding Customer Service at Wal Mart. She was also known for making the best German chocolate cakes. She loved being around her family, and she loved spending time with her friends; Ella B., Gwen, Mary Lois, Pam, Pauline, Laura and a host of other friends from Jan Eze and Wal Mart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, aunties and uncles; her brothers, Charles and Fred Jr., her sister, Shirley, her cousin/brother, Jessie Dixon and her grandson, Jaylen Willis. Lamar started his education at Lincoln School in Washington, Arkansas and graduated from Saratoga High School with the class of 1992. He was a very outgoing person, great personality and smile that would melt your heart. He held several jobs including, as a cook, manufacture worker, delivery driver and health care provider.
Lamar was a friend to many. He would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He was one of the jokesters in the family that kept everyone laughing, which will be missed dearly.
Lamar was preceded in death by his father William Witherspoon; his brother Kevin Witherspoon; his grandparents Eulas and Coretha Witherspoon; four (4) uncles, William Munn Jr., David Witherspoon, James Witherspoon, and Eugene Witherspoon. One (1) aunt Louise Williams.
