Obituary Preview: John D’Ambrosio, affectionately known as "Coach D," passed away peacefully at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of the late Judy D’Ambrosio (nee McKinnon) and a devoted father to Dominic (Christina) D’Ambrosio, Melissa Harrison, Christina D’Ambrosio, Lauren (Larry) Tello, and Greg D’Ambrosio. John cherished his role as grandfather to Dominic, Nicholas, Owen, Johnny, Carmela, Tommy, Olivia, Penelope, Mikey, and Stella. He was also a beloved brother to Tom (Allison) D’Ambrosio and brother-in-law to John (Cindy) McKinnon.
John dedicated his life to education and athletics, serving as an English teacher and esteemed coach in Wrestling, Track, Football, and Baseball at Bremen High School. After retirement from Bremen, he continued to develop young athletes as a member of the football coaching staff at St. Xavier University. All total, John dedicated more than 50 years as a coach. He is a member of the Illinois High School Coaches Hall of Fame for both Football and Wrestling.
A passionate supporter of the Chicago Cubs, John touched the lives of many with his kindness, dedication, unforgettable personality, and sense of humor. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hickey Memorial Chapel, 4201 W. 147th St., Midlothian. A Memorial Mass will follow on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Church/St. Augustine Parish , 4130 W. 147th St., Midlothian.
A public celebration of Coach D's life and memorial will take place directly following mass at 115 Bourbon Street in Merionette Park. A private family luncheon will take place simultaneously at 115 Bourbon Street (by invitation).

During Patrick’s career he was employed with Posen Illinois Fire Department, C & C Industrial Maintenance, Reserve Deputy for Porter County Indiana Sheriff’s Department, Assistant Manager for Golf Course Maintenance at the Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and Bishops Gate, Howey in the Hills, Florida.
A memorial visitation will be held at Hickey Memorial Chapel, 4201 W 147th Street, Midlothian, Illinois on Thursday April 18, 2024 from 2 – 8pm. A memorial mass will be at St Christopher Church /St Augustine Parish on Friday April 19th at 11AM. A private inurnment will take place at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, Illinois.

Maryellyn was born on March 18, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Parker High School, where she met many friends that she stayed close to throughout her life. She was happily married to her high school sweetheart, Douglas White, for over 50 years. The couple had four children and lived happily in the Village
of Posen. Maryellyn was a devoted wife and mother who loved family gatherings. She was always there to help out as needed. Early days with Doug were spent dancing at local Chicago ballrooms. Later years were spent traveling with Doug or with her children. She was active in her church, St. Stanislaus in Posen. She enjoyed counting the money on Monday morning, a skill she developed over many years of working at banks including many years at Midlothian State
Bank. She enjoyed playing games and cards. Maryellyn is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, her
parents Joseph and Hazel (Ford) Busch and brother Joseph Busch. She is survived by her four children; Nancy (John) Andres, Michael (Ann) White, Patricia White and Laura (Paul) Bisceglia and grandchildren; Eric White, Jonathon Andres, Paul White, Robert
(Rachel) White and Justin White. The family would like to thank Hospice of Loyola for their care and
support. Also, thanks to Fr. Robinson Ortiz of St. Augustine Parrish for final
blessings. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 at Hickey Funeral Home in Midlothian, Illinois, followed by a funeral mass at

Grandmother of seven, Theresa Gunaka, Jessica (Aaron) Wallenius, Amy (Caleb) Wenstrom, Mathew Gunaka, Morgan Gunaka-Vizza (Robert), Elizabeth Gunaka and Shelby Gunaka and Significant Others.
Great Grandmother of six- Amelia, Henry, Alexander, Evelyn, Natalie, and Hazel.
Dena was sister to late Richard (late Dotty) Kooyenga & late Vivian (Harold) Stack.
Remarried in 1989 to late Arthur Lockman she became a stepmother to five and many more grandchildren. Dena was Aunt and friend too many!!!
Dena was always a creative homemaker, where conversations and laughter were common at her dining table.  A Christian woman with a mighty faith that carried her and others through challenges and tragedies.  Dena overcame breast cancer and multiple spinal surgeries and despite physical limitations later in life she was always full of joy as a pillar of love and strength to our family and the church.  She and Art loved to serve in the local food pantries, Greeters at Sunday Services, and baking desserts for fundraiser auctions.  Dena loved her pets, cared for wildlife and the outdoors.   She was a successful mother, wife, and entrepreneur in several businesses from beauty consulting/sales, cleaning services, graphic design, and publishing.  She filled her home with warmth, kindness, and could often be found cooking, sewing, gardening, and canning. We will miss her greatly.
Her funeral/burial service will be held in the spring of 2024 at a time to be announced.
