Brian leaves behind his wife, Karrie, and their two amazing children, son Bode and daughter Madigan.
An avid golfer, Raider’s fan, beer enthusiast and smoker (big green egg), Brian will be remembered for his commitment to family, business ethics and acumen, dry sense of humor, and ability to obtain a deal on nearly everything he purchased. He served as an inspiration, role model, and mentor to many in all aspects of life. Brian was intent on making memories during his final months, enjoying a vacation to Mexico, a home Raider’s game, the Packers/Vikings game, ice fishing on Lake Minnetonka, a quick visit to Bode’s chosen college, countless lunches, happy hours and dinners with friends & colleagues, and Hamilton (the play).
He is survived by parents, Jerry and Lorene Hogan, sisters Denice (Shane McCool) Hogan and Cheryl (Bill) Myrick, nephews Austin, Mason, Aiden, and Cade, and many other friends and relatives. A lifelong Coloradan, Brian graduated from Northglenn High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Northern Colorado in 1994. He enjoyed a successful career in sales, spending 20 years with Stout Signs.
In lieu of a service, Brian chose to celebrate his life with friends and family on December 29 at the More Cheers, Less Tears, Over Beers, an “awake wake.” The family would like to thank Dr. Tara Gregory and her team at the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute (CBCI) for their support and compassion, and Denver Hospice.  Memorials are preferred to CBCI, Denver Hospice or by way of donating blood. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

Richard Allan Lehman - March 03, 1935 - February 25, 2022

Departed: 02/25/2022 (Lafayette)
Obituary Preview: Richard Lehman died peacefully in his sleep in Louisville, Colorado on Friday night February 25th after a short illness. Dick was born in Aurora, Illinois on March 3, 1935 and moved out to Colorado to attend Colorado University of Boulder and subsequently married and raised his family in the Denver area.  Dick is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Lehman, daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Phil Sinclair-Harry and his son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Valeria Lehman. He also has 5 grandchildren: Caitlyn, Emma and Clark Sinclair-Harry and Elizabeth and Brandon Lehman.
Dick put himself through school through NAVY ROTC and working. He met Kaki, while doing dishes at her sorority house, and she was immediately swept away by his charm and good looks. The couple were married on August 31, 1963. Their daughter, Laura was born a year, followed by a son, Bruce, 18 months after that. Dick was awarded degrees in both Architecture and Architectural Engineering, and enjoyed being part of a series of design partnerships throughout his career. He was very proud of his body of work as an architect, producing many banks, churches and other public buildings while in Denver and homes and Senior Centers in Illinois. He was all about creating spaces for people to come together. Dick was also an active community member serving on the Douglas County Library Board, Arapahoe Mental Health Center Board, East Denver YMCA, and Park Hill Action Committee, among others. He built a custom home for his family in 1972, moving from Park Hill to the Parker. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, helping to found St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, and serve as Bishop’s Warden and architect for the building in downtown Parker.
Dick returned to Illinois in 1986 for over 3 decades to be near his parents, Herb and Bernice Lehman, sister, Sharon Doeseckle and nephew Matthew Doeseckle. He finished his career there and enjoyed his retirement playing golf, gaming, reading and socializing with everyone he met. He enjoyed playing games and cards with his grandchildren, and best friend, David Koehler although he was known for ‘bending’ the rules and being very competitive. Dick also enjoyed art, attending the Symphony, sailing, traveling and playing bridge. Dick and Kaki returned to the Denver Area in 2019, followed a year later by the Sinclair-Harrys. The delight of his final years was his great-grandson, Liam Sinclair-Harry, who used to take his ‘Taid’ for a walk, and make him laugh. Dick was a man of quick wit, with a twinkle in his eye and a sense of mischief. His humor, joking with every nurse and doctor right up to the end, will be missed. His German stubbornness, will not be missed as much.
A memorial for Dick will be held this summer. His ashes will be interred at Fairmount Cemetery in Jetmore, Kansas, near the land and pasture that sustained Dick and Kaki in their retirement. Contributions will be gratefully accepted in lieu of flowers to Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, where Dick and Kake attended, (https://www.bvuuf.org/) or Humane Society of Boulder Valley (https://www.boulderhumane.org/).

William Henry Heller - January 22, 1938 - February 20, 2022

Departed: 02/20/2022 (Lafayette)
Obituary Preview: William Henry Heller, "Bill", passed away on February 20, 2022, in Broomfield, Colorado. He was 84 years old. Bill was born and raised in Idaho Springs, Colorado, the second son of Eva (Woodward) and Albert "Bus" Heller, along with his brother Robert "Bob" Heller. After graduating from Clear Creek High School, Bill attended the University of Colorado, where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, and met his future wife, Patricia (Banyai) Heller. Pat and Bill married in the fall of 1961 after graduation, and immediately settled in Broomfield, where they lived throughout 60 years of marriage, and raised their three children Bill, Tricia and John.
Bill spent the better part of his professional life in sales, including owning his own business, W.H. Sales Inc. In the early 70's he was instrumental in bringing snowmaking to the Colorado ski industry, selling the snowmaking water pumps to several local mountain resorts, as well as Sun Valley. He also worked at Kroger's for many years, as well as holding a "semi-retired" position at Frontier Airlines. He held a number of different volunteer and board positions throughout his professional career, and as someone with a rare blood type, he was a regular and devoted blood donor. Bill was also quite the handyman, putting skills and lessons learned at an early age while working in his father's Idaho Springs hardware store to practical use - from his uncanny zipper-repair ability to building a family cabin in Summit County.
The most notable things however about Bill Heller were his soft smile, warm eyes, strong stature, sweet spirit, and his willingness to lend a helping hand. He would greet you with an irresistible idiom, and always bid you goodbye with the words "God bless." Bill was supportive and proud of his wife and kids' accomplishments, and he always recounted a story with warmth and flare. He was an avid fan of his beloved Buffs and Broncos, a proud 3rd generation native of Colorado, a loyal and trusted friend, a father figure to many, an amazing athlete, and a patient instructor and coach. But top of the list always was Bill's immense love of family.
Bill is survived by his wife Pat Heller; son Bill Heller (Niki Esmay Heller); daughter, Tricia Heller (Regina Brown M.D.); son, John Heller (Tara Grote Heller); brother Robert Heller; grandsons Rhody, Griffin, Connor and Blake; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. All will miss his warmth and kindness but will forever feel his loving embrace.

Jacquline Yvonne Bulger - October 22, 1924 - January 26, 2022

Departed: 01/26/2022 (Lafayette)
Obituary Preview: Bobby Bulger of Dallas, Texas, a woman who broke gender barriers and glass ceilings in the travel industry, has died in Louisville, Colorado at the age of 97. As Bobby herself said it, she “covered the world” – all seven continents – from the Arctic Circle to Antarctica, many times.
Born Jacquline Yvonne Armstrong in 1924, she grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas, during that town’s oil boom. She was known to her classmates as “Yvonne,” but her family and close friends always called her “Bobby,” a name her older sister Lucille used when she was trying to say “baby.” She watched the boomtown turn to ghost town, losing more than half of its 1925 population of nearly 30,000 during the Great Depression, and then gear back up as WWII brought industry and soldiers to town.
Bobby graduated from El Dorado High School in the spring of 1943, at the age of 17, and moved to Dallas to live with her aunt and uncle, and to work and take classes at Sacks Secretarial School. That summer, her uncle Dudley Cox helped her secure a position as a stewardess with Braniff Airlines, which had recently set up a new base at Dallas’ Love Field.
When somebody at Braniff realized Bobby, at 17, was still too young to be a stewardess, she recalled, “I told them, ‘Hey, look, I just quit school and two jobs for this position, so you better find something for me to do!’ So, they handed me a camera, which I had no idea how to use, and put me in the publicity department.” Bobby began work with Braniff as a stenographer to Al Anderson in the Advertising department. Under his guidance, she learned the fundamentals of Speedgraphic camera operations and news-story writing. She also ended up on the other side of the camera from time to time, ironically modelling as a stewardess in some of Braniff’s ads. In 1944, she became assistant editor of the company’s in-flight magazine then called the B-Liner and was promoted to editor in 1946. Over her four years with Braniff, she became a familiar face. As the publication wrote when her resignation became effective two days before her wedding: “She was hailed by many with a grin and, ‘Howdy, Bobby,’ as she strode about the base with a camera in hand and a satchel full of flash bulbs, pausing occasionally in various departments to pencil notes on a story or to snap a few pictures. And many were the movie and other nationally known dignitaries to stand before her camera lens at Love Field as they deplaned.”
In 1947, Bobby married James R. Bulger, a celebrated war hero who served in the South Pacific and was reported to be the first American to set foot in post-War Japan (ahead of General MacArthur). After she left Braniff Airlines, she spent the next 15 years focused on being a homemaker, caring for her dogs, and moving with her husband’s business to Tennessee, Oklahoma and Houston. In 1962, the couple returned to Dallas and, to help pay for a new home in Northwest Dallas, Bobby went to work for the American Express travel office in Dallas as a travel agent, before being promoted to manager of the NorthPark American Express travel office, which she opened.
Looking around, Bobby recalled, she saw many companies offering incentives to employees who performed well. “Companies were giving away watches, appliances and cars to people who exceeded their sales quotas, but nobody was doing anything with travel,” she said. Bobby pitched the idea of developing a travel incentive program. After Ross Perot bought the travel package for Electronic Data Systems, Bobby was promoted to Director of Group and Incentive Travel. She found herself doing things that, at the time, nobody else had tried. “I once booked an entire cruise ship,” she said. “The ship’s owner thought I was crazy. Nobody had ever done that.” She also took the American Bar Association to London, and booked — "all of it, and Princess Anne” – for a week. Incentive travel took off, and Bobby traveled the world, operating hundreds of trips ranging from groups of 40 up to 1800 people for Fortune 500 companies. Although AmEx suggested she move to New York, Bobby stayed in Dallas because it was home. She became known in the industry as a leading authority in international travel and began conducting trainings and lectures for industry professionals in countries from South Africa and Russia to Indonesia and Hong Kong that wanted to attract and serve American tourists. At times, she surprised her hosts with her gender. “When they heard the name Bobby, they expected a man,” she said. “Boy, were they surprised when I walked off the plane.”
Later in life, she was often asked what her favorite country was, and her response was usually, “all of them.” When pressed, she always said Italy. And then, Croatia. The place that had the strongest hold on her heart, however, was Dallas. She was sad to see it grow and change over the century, but it was home. And for a girl who “covered the world,” home was a sanctuary.
Bobby’s marriage ended in 1974, though she stayed close with her ex-husband’s family and continued to be in touch with him until he died in 2002. She remained with American Express for 29 years before opening her own company, Bobby Bulger Travel Concepts, Inc., in 1991. Bobby continued to work and travel the world until just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Her final trip abroad was to Scotland in 2017, where she took a group to visit an interesting archeological site. She booked her final trip for a client in 2021, at the age of 96. After two years of seclusion during the pandemic and feeling that her business “wasn’t ever going to bounce back,” Bobby moved to Louisville, Colorado, to be closer to family. While the move was hard, she always kept her sense of humor and her soft spot for a lonely soul in need of a friend.
