Obituary Preview: Celebrating the Life of James Eslie King Born: December 22, 1929 Passed Away: March 29, 2024 James Eslie King passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 94, at Valley View Nursing
home in Junction City Kansas.
Jim was born on December 22, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Nealy Wade King and Josephine Stafford Holt. He married Jean Marie Green on August 4, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana while Jim was stationed at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky. They shared 73 years together and were the parents of two sons.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his son, James Michael (Mike) King, his brother, Burke Holt, and his sister’s June Waters and Wanda Shepherd.
Jim is survived by his wife, Jean, his son, Rodney King (Leta) of Junction City, Kansas,granddaughters, Jasmine Stewart (Mike), Michelle King, and Emily King, his grandson’s Brian and Jeffery and his great grandchildren, Audrienna Stewart, Alaina Stewart, Colton Stewart and Julian King, all of Junction City, Kansas and his sister, Patricia Feugate, of Kansas City, Kansas.
Jim entered the United States Army in December of 1951 and served for 20 years retiring April 30, 1971 at Fort Riley, Kansas. Jim received a bronze star medal and several other awards during his time in the army. During Jim’s time in the army, he was stationed in Germany two different times with the family. Jim, Jean and their sons would take trips every chance they were able to, driving to Italy and the Netherlands and attending Oktoberfests. At one time in Germany, Jim’s company was on a rotation in Berlin for 2 to 3 months during the holidays. Jean and the boys rode a train to visit Jim for Thanksgiving and Christmas that year.
During Jim’s time in the army, he was deployed to Korea in 1951. While stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, Jim was deployed to Vietnam and upon his return from Vietnam, he was stationed at Fort Leonard. He stayed there for about three months and put in to retire at Fort Riley, Kansas where Jim and Jean had a home.
Upon Jim’s retirement from the army, he worked in civil service at Fort Riley, Kansas for 20 years. Jim and Jean purchased a home in Milford, Kansas. While living near the lake, Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and mushroom hunting. Jim passed his love of mushroom hunting and fishing down to his sons. The family enjoyed summers at Milford Lake in the pontoon boat. There were many Sunday dinners with the family enjoyed at the house in Milford.
In 1981, Jim, Jean, Mike, Rodney, Leta, Jasmine and Michelle took a trip in Jim’s motor home to California and Oregon to visit family. There were other trips in the motor home to Macks Creek, Missouri where they would all travel for family reunions. Him and Jean lived in Milford, Kansas until 2015 when they moved back to Junction City to be closer to Rodney where Jim remained until his final days.
Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services with Randy Richardson officiating will following at 2:00 p.m. Burial with full military honors will be at Green Cemetery, Macks Creek, Missouri.

Timmy Lee Blurton - June 26, 1963 - February 07, 2024

Obituary Preview: Timmy Blurton, age 60, of Mack's Creek, Missouri passed away on February 7, 2024 at Mack’s Creek Senior Housing. He was born on June 26, 1963 in Independence, Missouri; a son of Jimmy Blurton and Sandra (Daniels) Blurton.
Timmy worked very hard over the years in the construction business. For many years he installed tile for Walmart and later helped build many of the Casey’s stores around the Midwest.
Timmy enjoyed hunting and fishing but was also a very talented artist, and loved to draw. Timmy’s greatest accomplishment was being saved by his precious Lord at the age of 16 years old at the Durnell Chapel in Polk, Missouri
Timmy is survived by two sons, Scott Blurton, Shawn Blurton; grandchildren Kalab, Issac, Freya and Danielle; sisters, Pam (Tim) Willis, Sarah and Guy, Wanda Eastwood; an Aunt, Joann (Wendell) Smith; uncles Bill Daniels, Danny Blurton, Fred Blurton and numerous nieces and nephews. Timmy was preceded in death by his parents.

Obituary Preview: Yvonne Easter Willis departed this life in her home on the farm in Macks Creek, Missouri on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Yvonne Easter Willis was born on April 22, 1940 to her mother Ola Mae Reaves in Cole County, Missouri.
Easter was raised in Benton County and attended the Warsaw Schools. She met her husband, Donald Gemes, and they were married in 1956. She and Donald bought a farm in 1957 that the family still owns in the Fristoe area. Donald and Easter had two children, Steven Wayne Gemes and Donna Yvonne Gemes Nelson. Easter milked cows and tended to the family farm until her children were older. She then started her career working at Unitog in Warsaw, Missouri. Easter was a supervisor, and she retired after 29 years of service in 1993. Easter’s late husband Donald Gemes was killed in a tragic tractor accident in 1987. Easter was introduced to Don Ray Willis by Jane Bonner Cullen, and they were married on October 10, 1992. Easter gained three more children and daughters-in-laws along with a host of grandchildren when she married Don.
Easter was saved at the age of 17 years old at an old-time revival. She loved her Lord and Savior. She taught Sunday School for many years. Easter was a faithful member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Macks Creek, Missouri. Easter's greatest desire was to see her family and friends all truly saved by the blood of Jesus. Easter was truly a virtuous woman, a Proverbs 31 women. If you knew her, you knew she had a very kind and loving soul.
Easter is survived by her husband Don Ray Willis of the home; son Steven Gemes (Jill); daughter Donna Nelson; Son Newton Willis (Rosalee); son Steve Willis; a son Tim Willis (Pam); ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives, dear friends, and loved ones.
Easter was proceeded in death by her late husband Donald Gemes; her mother Ola Mae Reaves; a grandson Brent Willis; a great grandson Luc Donald Gemes; a daughter-in-law Wanda Willis; a host of brothers and sisters-in-laws; nieces and nephews; and many relatives, dear friends and loved ones.
Friends will be received Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. Burial will follow services on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Bethel Campground Cemetery in Edwards, Missouri

She is daughter of Theodore and Mable (Morgan) Martin. She was born in Ft Cobb, Oklahoma on January 11, 1939.
She was married to Louie Johnson who preceded her in death in 2014.
Cleota and Louie worked a farm in the Macks Creek area for many years. She loved to quilt and do wood working. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Cleota is survived by her son Jerry Johnson and wife Michele and daughter Teresa Cecil; two sisters Arleta Holbridge and Ruth Darrage; six grandchildren, six great grand children,  and several great grandchildren.
Cleota is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and twin sister Leota Boyer.
Graveside services will be held on November 28, 2023 at Green Cemetery at Climax Springs,  Missouri at 1:00 p.m.

Patricia June Stoufer - February 25, 1934 - May 12, 2024

Obituary Preview: Patricia June Lynch Stoufer was born on February 25, 1934 at home west of Branch, Mo.  She was the daughter of Leonard Cecil and Hazel Marie Allen Lynch.  She went home to be with Jesus on May 12, 2024 at the age of 90 years old.  She was saved at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized in February 1955.
She was united in marriage to Johnnie J Stoufer  and to this union one son was born, Lewis Cecil Stoufer.
She worked at Sears in Kansas City, Mo for many years and was a den mother of  Troop 428 Boy Scouts.
In 1975 her and Johnnie moved the family back to Macks Creek and opened up Stoufer Tire and Motor Service. She was City Clerk and Treasurer for the city of Macks Creek and dispatched volunteer fire department for many years. She helped start the Macks Creek Park and helped raise funds for senior housing. She worked at Macks Creek Senior Center and Camdenton Senior Center. She wrote a song for her son “Race of Life”.
She loved telling her family stories of her childhood. She wrote the book “Stoufer Memories”. Family was very important to her. She loved to crochet, make quilts, garden and write poetry. She wrote a poem “God’s Bouquet in Heaven”.
She leaves behind her son Lewis and wife Carla Stoufer, grandson JR. and wife Shannon Stoufer, great grandsons Carson Stoufer and Jack Stoufer, sister in law Terri Stoufer. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors. Special friends Janet Barnes and Martha Noland Woods both of Camdenton.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Leonard and Hazel Lynch, three sisters Delma Nations and husband Eldon, Norma Stoufer, Judy Winn and husband Jay. Two brothers, Jara Lynch and Ber Lynch. Husband Johnnie J Stoufer. 4 Brother in laws Glenn and Irene Stoufer, Norman and Eunice Stoufer (Hill), Donald and wife Ruth Stoufer, Karl and Bernita Stoufer. 4 Sister in laws Blanche and Rroma Hicks, Bessie and Bob Laughlin, Bonnie Hunt(Young) and Ross Hunt, Beulah and Bert Owsley and Berniece Stoufer. Several nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Hedges -Scott-Millard Funeral Home Macks Creek. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Hedges -Scott-Millard Funeral Home Macks Creek.
Burial will follow in the Macks Creek Cemetery in Macks Creek, Missouri.

Jacob Ullrich - December 26, 1941 - May 10, 2024

He was born on Dec 26, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the son of Jacob and Wanda Ullrich.
Jacob graduated High school and joined the Air Force and served as a medical equipment repairman. He later moved his family to Mack’s Creek, Missouri and raised his family on a farm with 80 acres. He had several career paths including a salesman at Huletts in Camdenton, MO to owning his own AAA insurance agency in Jefferson City, MO. After he retired he bought an 80 acre farm with his son. He loved baking bread and it was requested at all holiday events. He gave his life to Christ at the age of 48 and later was baptized in the Jordan River in Israel. He lived the rest of his life serving God and loved to share God’s word with others.
Jacob is survived by his 3 children Lisa Pearce, John Ullrich (Donnina) and Jason Ullrich (Angela) and 8 grandchildren  Jamie Davis (Brent), Billy Pearce, Micaela Ullrich, Meghan Ullrich, Jacob Ullrich and Jordan Ulllrich, Gage Ullrich and Gavin Ullrich, and  5 great grandchildren Brooklyn, Jaxon, Reece, Rhett and Rowann, one sister Joyce Hayden, and many nieces and nephews.
Jacob is preceded by his parents Jacob and Wanda Ullrich and his sisters Helen Blum and Betty Ullrich.

Obituary Preview: Danny Russel Webster of Holts Summit, MO departed this life on Friday, July 5th, 2024 at his home. He was born to the late J.D. and Adra Webster on October 23rd, 1955 in Lebanon, Missouri.
Danny was married to Ruthie Eaton Webster for 36 years until her passing in 2014. To this union five children were born. They made their home in the Macks Creek area.
He worked for Speedline Technologies for 30 years where he held numerous managerial roles. Additionally, Danny held leadership roles in the community as a school board member, deacon for the Macks Creek First Baptist Church, and a member of the Lake area Chamber of Commerce.
Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, but most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Danny’s strength and will inspired all who knew him. He was a medical miracle, defying prognosis after prognosis for the past 10 years. Danny loved his family and friends very much. The family finds peace knowing that he is reunited with his beloved wife in Heaven.
Danny is survived by one son, Danny Webster; four daughters; Misty McCrackin (Stephen), Megan Webster-Johnson (Patrick), Andrea Skaggs (Clayton), and Amber Webster (Sid); 12 grandchildren, Hunter, Reagan, Madelyn, Hudson, Mia, Clare, Marly, Layla, Lydia, Norah, Isla, and Willa; his mother-in-law Lucille Eaton, and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Jackie David Webster, sister Becky Lynn, and father-in-law David Eaton.
Danny will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His loving memory and perseverance will be honored by those who were part of his life.

He was also a sports fan for the Chicago Bulls and Bears. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Devon is survived by his mother Michelle Clark; brothers Austin Lucas, Isaac Clark, Jesse Simmons, Jayden Driskill; sisters Justice Clark, Tressa Sullivent, Peyton Simmons; grandmother Gloria Simmons, grandparents Delores and Steve Roundtree, grandfather Steven Corbin; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Devon was preceded in death by his father.
A private graveside service will be Friday, June 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Jordan Church of God Cemetery, Hwy P in Hickory County.

Daniel Schmidt - July 09, 1970 - July 13, 2024

Obituary Preview: Daniel “Todd” Schmidt, age 54, of Ft. Meyers , Florida, departed this earth on Saturday July 13, 2024 at his home in Ft. Meyers, Florida.
He was born on July 9, 1970 in Bloomington-Normal Illinois: the son of Daniel Schmidt and Cindy (Witt) Campbell.
He was united in marriage to Shawn Helle on December 29, 1995. They shared 6 children together.
Todd achieved his degree in horticulture from Longview College in Lees Summit, Mo. Throughout his life he used his degree at various golf courses in Missouri and Florida. In 2009 he became owner and operator of Schmidt Family Farms.
He loved his family, his children, grandchildren, his dogs, his community and the community children.
Todd is survived by his Parents Dan Schmidt and wife Karen, and Cindy Campbell. Siblings Tami Lewis and Husband Bill, Tim Schmidt and Wife Meillyn, John Schmidt and wife Candy. His children Damon Schmidt of Sullivan Mo, Faith Blanks, Chase Schmidt, Micah Spence and husband Mickey, Bethany Kinney and husband Mason, Isaiah Schmidt and wife Cally, and the mother of his children Shawn Schmidt all of Macks Creek, Mo. Grandchildren Christian, Leigha, Karsyn, Stormy, Brooklyn, Tyler, Nicholas, Eli, Adalyn, Colter and Kace. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Many “bonus” children that he thought of and treated as his own.
Todd was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clyde and Guila Schmidt. Maternal grandparents Jim and Barbara Klawitter.
Friends will be received Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 11:00 am  to 1:00 pm at Hedges-Scott-Millard funeral home in Macks Creek, Mo. Flowers and donations can be sent there.
